What I did Local rule matching and AI grouping used to be two separate paths. Smart Sort only ran local rules. A separate button re-ran AI on everything from scratch and ignored what local rules had already sorted, so tabs the local rules couldnāt place just sat there ungrouped even with an API key set. I merged these into one pipeline: local rules run first since theyāre instant, free, and work offline, and only the leftover tabs get handed to AI. If the AI call fails, it now falls back to the local result instead of breaking the whole action. The auto-sort-on-new-tab toggle in Preferences used to be fake. It wrote a value to storage that nothing ever read, so flipping the switch did literally nothing. Wired it up for real, debounced per window so restoring a saved session doesnāt fire a sort for every single tab. Settings and the custom domain-rule editor used to live on a separate page you had to open in a new tab. Moved the whole thing into the popup as a second screen, and built a side panel that mirrors it with live updates as tabs and groups change, so youāre not stuck refreshing manually. Issues I ran into and fixed Keyword classifier false positives. The fallback classifier (kicks in when a domain isnāt in the built-in list) was doing plain substring matching on hostnames. āshopā was matching photoshop.adobe.com , ādevā was matching random domains that just happened to contain those letters. Switched it to match whole hostname tokens instead, which kills the false positives without losing the keyword coverage. Extension pages slipping through. chrome-extension:// pages werenāt excluded from sorting the way chrome:// pages were. The old regex only matched schemes ending right after the browser name, so extension pages like the built-in PDF viewer could end up grouped under a garbage name based on the extension ID. Fixed the exclusion list to cover that too. Silent save failures. Settings saves had zero error handling around chrome.storage.sync.set . That API has an 8KB-per-item quota, so enough custom rules could make a save fail silently while the UI still said āSaved.ā Wrapped it in a try/catch so a failed save actually tells you it failed now. Dead options page. After moving settings into the popup, the old separate options.html / options.js page wasnāt wired to anything in the manifest anymore. It was just dead code sitting in the repo doing nothing. Deleted it instead of fixing a page nobody could ever reach. Whatās next Nothing blocking, the extension works end to end. For later: popup.js and sidepanel.js currently duplicate a few small helper functions (glyph lookup, sending messages), so Iād like to pull those into one shared file so Iām not editing the same logic twice."}]...

#Devlog 1: Hi, welcome to a hardware project devlog. In this project, I am creating a pantry scanner. I have drawn my schematic board and am soldering the PCB. I forgot to record my soldering part, but here is the overview of the project.
Devlog 2: This devlog, it records how the front end works. I use arduino IDE with coding language C+ to make the ESP32 Camera work, It can capture 1600x1200px, which is useful for the backend. The backend is used to store the captured picture and analyse the expiry date of the food.

PCB Design (2) I finished up the schematic for the PCB and assigned all the footprints for the parts Iām using. I decided to stick with the LM386 and to use 3 AA batteries to achieve the minimum voltage needed for the audio amplifier. For the power toggle switch and the speaker, I decided to just use connector wires as a comprise for not knowing which one I will be using (gives me more flexibility for where I want them to be on the final build) Next steps I need to do: Design the PCB Write the code/firmware Design the CAD model for the finished project and any 3D printed parts I need
PCB Finished! (I hopeā¦) I finished the PCB design! For the most part, it was smooth sailing to rearrange all the components into a neat-ish rectangle and to wire everything up. There were a few issues with the parts being wired wrong in the schematic that I had to fix⦠Hopefully no more of that comes up. Iāll be doing final touches and double checking the PCB before moving on to making a 3d print for its case.
PCB Finished (Actually) Turns out I forgot to do some steps⦠oops haha? Luckily it was just running the DRC, adding a few wires between the ground references and adding a rectangle in the cut layer. Onto making the CAD for the box!
Cadding the enclosure Started using Fusion360 to CAD the enclosure for the project. I got the bottom part mostly done and got 2 of the holes needed for the lid done. I still need to do the holes for the other buttons, display, and screws to put together. At some point, Iāll also need to finalize the speaker I want to be able to decide where to have it in the CAD.
Cadding the enclosure (cont.) Iām almost done with CAD!⦠at least I think so. I finished up the cutouts in the top and adjusted a few things for the bottom part to better sit the PCB. Decided to go with a 30 mm diameter Gikfun speaker and just have it at the very front. The last part I need to add are the holes for the screws to keep the top and bottom together. Not sure the size for that so Iāll need to do some more research. Hopefully I didnāt make the sides of the container too thinā¦
Cadding Enclosure (pt. 3) I finished adding the holes, fixed a few issues with not giving enough tolerence, and started adding the rest of the parts in an assembled CAD model to give an idea of the finished product and double check that everything will fit together. Some parts (currently the potentiometer) I couldnāt find the right model for so Iāll be using a stand in model for them. I used the āthreadā feature in Fusion and Iām hoping the tolerence wonāt be too tight for the screws I have⦠worst case hot glue will save me XD
Finished CAD! I finished the CAD for the enclosure and got everything assembled in CAD. Luckily everything worked out! :D Mightāve put too much space for the SD card on the PCB⦠I also started working on the firmware. Originally, I wanted to use Arduino IDE but it might not be the friendliest for the Pi Pico. I plan on looking into circuit python to see if it is better for reading SD cards and playing audio.
Finished Programming :D I finished the firmware! I decided to move to Circuit Python since it works better with the Pi Pico. The project is almost done and ready to be reviewed. Some things I need to do before that: Create a BOM Add more info in the README Add a folder with all the files with the libraries
Debugging Code Over the past week (on and off), Iāve been slowly assembling the motivation player on the breadboard. I soldered all the parts I could and debugged the code after uploading it to the Raspberry Pi. Canāt say it didnāt take awhile⦠Luckily, I got the code working and the speaker to function. Finished! After definitely not procrasinating for a week, I finished the Motivation Player! I soldered all the parts together and assembled it together. Very happy that the PCB worked first try. Often, I feel myself out of motivation and falling into doom scrolling. So, I built an MP3-like player where I can play motivational/funny quotes from my friends to help bring me up One of the main challenges I faced was not really being able to prototype and making my second PCB design ever. I was very anxious for when the PCB originally arrived since I had no way to test on the breadboard if the research I had done online was correct until after I ordered my PCB (I didnāt have the parts at the time and waiting until they came would have taken too long for the PCB). Luckily āand thankfully ā the PCB worked out as intended. Overall, given this is my first time using an audio amplifier, working with SD cards, and not using a step-by-step tutorial for any of the parts, Iām really proud that the project works smoothly, with the audio being pretty decent....

These last few days I have been figuring out many of the problems I had while writing in JavaScript for watches with Zepp OS. As of now, I have resolved most of them, but I still have to design the UI and organize the answers from the Habitica API.
After fixing all previous bugs related to network issues and getting familiarized with JavaScript and Zepp OS development, I have started working on the UI, adding more colors to it and making more buttons functional, as well as adding new security features such as not having to use the userās own API, and instead logging them in. Right now, I am taking suggestions on how to improve the UI design, or in adding new functionalities, so feel free to comment your ideas if you have someš.
The app is now on GitHub! Now you can also try it yourself by using the watch app. It is also being reviewed to be published onto the official app store, so it will be accessible to everyone for free. Changes: I have changed the previous name (Zeppitica) to HabitiZepp to better comply with Habiticaās usage guidelines. I have added a reload function to load the page again if changes have been made by just pressing the banner for more than 700 ms, and I have better adjusted the UI, as well as fixing some minor bugs and permissions with the device.
After the app had been rejected from the Zepp app store due to the previous name was trade marketed, I decided to change the name into HabitiSync. I expect the app to be released in the official app store in the next 2 weeks!
Finally, the app has been relased into the app store. To download it, you have to go to the app store inside the Zepp App, look for HabitiSync, and install it (app id: 1124182). Then, configure your account into the settings app, and open your watch to see the icon. I finalized the lexer and Iām almost done with generating the AST, so nearly done with the boring bit! I also made some very basic test programs.
I pretty much finished the AST and Iām basically ready to start working on the interpretter.
This is now technically a usable programming language! It can interpret code, and I even made a Fibonacci program. I spent most of the day making some basic primitives, alongside starting the standard library with things like true, false, or, and, not, nil, print, addition, multiplication, subtraction, division and more! Tomorrow Iāll set it up with LLVM and try my best to get it to actually compile. Wish me luck! Also, if any of you have ideas for how I can make the code less ugly, I would appreciate some advice.
I got started on making the compiler convert my language to LLVM IR code, and it genuinely sucks. I basically need to make my language un-functional itself into a primitive language, and I need to deal with the limits of my own language, golang, and C at the same time and itās torture. Iām powering through though and Iām almost at a point where itāll actually manage to compile my language.
llvm is pain it compiles but it doesnt work i might just pivot and make it interpretted only, maybe have it transpile to scheme instead.
I got this ready to ship because I lost interest in this, but i might make another project in the remaining time in Stardance. Either way, i finished the README.md, added a release with prebuilt binaries, and made a demo using asciinema.
I added help text and changed the demo folder to be called examples.

Samaipata What is Samaipata Samaipata is a custom, full-stack, local-first AI client interface. That works using ollama and Hackclub AI. Devlog Long time no see was pretty ocupied in my final exams honestly. So what did i do? So i did atonnnnn of stuff in the past few days heres a some of the stuff i did Marketplace Did some marketplace endpoints for integrating a marketplace later on. Some of them are: Hackclub AI getHackClubModels() Gets all of the hackclub ai models /api/hackclub/models uses the function and delivers them into the frontend Ollama models /api/models/ shows which models you have installed Ollama marketplace /api/marketplace/models Uses 2 apis to try get the ollama models if it fails or you dont have wifi it uses a json backup file. Finished the backend First i might notice you are reading this without prior context so: What is Samaipata Samaipata is a custom, full-stack, local-first AI client interface. That works using ollama and Hackclub AI. The suffering It took a really long time writing the backend with over 1700 lines of code not counting those long php stuff ive made it. Now i need to do the Frontend which ive already have planned. So thats all for today!
Bad News. Context Sadly i became to lazy to finish the frontend specially because it would take me 15 days or more and my pace and that also stardance finishes on september 30th and i want to do more projects so sadly i am going to vibecoded the frontend with a human design inspired by manus.
Huge progress on the frontend design! So today ive gave it my all on trying to finish the ui design. Ive done a couple of things including the: [ā ] Sidebar [ ā] Projects Ui Marketplace ui Admin Ui Settings ui And lastly the main ui for the index.html. Its currently in spanish but ill translate it to english on the real frontend. Thanks for reading.
Finished the Samaipata So ive finally finished samaipata it look a real long time but i think it was worth it in a few days or hours i will ship this for review.
spent way too long on the installer what was happening: i had to package the whole installer so it would be more easier for the testers to test and to fight the limitations of windows sandbox. how i fixed it: i fixed it by packaging the samaipata zip and packaging the node js functionalitys.
I am going to redesign the whole ui Sadly as i told you in past devlogs the whole frontend ui is vibecoded and as a shipwrights asked i am going to remake the whole ui with a new style. I am going to divide this in a few steps: 1. Find inspiration Find inspiration of other ai websites and the tematic of the project samaipata 2. Design it in figma Design the home ui as inspiration for the entire project 3. Code it Code it and connect it with the old frontend js code So thats it ill follow up later image of actual samaipata:
Sketched a ui i really liked the second one ive made This will be the progress from today Tomorrow ill design it in figma
Finished designing the ui in figma Sadly as i told you in past devlogs the whole frontend ui is vibecoded (as ive told in devlog 5) and as a shipwrights asked. And ive had to recreate the whole ui with a new style. Maintaing the same fonts and style from the old ui.

Samaipata Hello dear reviewer, this is my project Samaipata. I dont want to get you to much of a hustle so lets make this quick. What is Samaipata Samaipata is a custom, full-stack, local-first AI client interface. That works using ollama and Hackclub AI. Or basically my own Openwebui. What features does Samaipata have? Real time chat support: -Has support for SSE. Model marketplace: A custom model marketplace using diffrent apis. Like: Akazwz Cloudflare worker OllamaDB api and a fallback json file. Auth and Security: Encryption using Bcrypt! Zero Api Auth Admin Panel: User roles (user, admin). -Models per user. -Ban and suspension support. AND MORE! If this isnt enough info go test it for your self heres the instalation guide Stack Backend : Node.js, Express.js Database : SQLite ( sqlite3 ) Auth : JWT ( jsonwebtoken ), Bcrypt ( bcryptjs ), Cookie-Parser Frontend : HTML5 semƔntico, CSS3 moderno (Variables CSS, Flexbox/Grid, Responsive), Vanilla JavaScript Ai : Ollama API, Hack Club AI and Gemini Thanks for reading Hope you leave a good review (;...

I worked on the initial design, rebuilt parts of the belt assembly, chose and mounted the encoders, dealt with the wiring, and started learning how to control the system with a state-space model and LQR. Starting the CAD I began by researching different mechanical options while building the model in Onshape. Before I could get far into the full assembly, I needed to settle details such as the shaft, bearings, supports, and how everything would fit together. The first recording was only 57 minutes because recording my screen was making everything lag. In the next session, I continued developing the pivot assembly. The shaft passes through a bearing mounted in a shaped support plate, with another support behind it.The following 2h 52m session continued the CAD work. I spent more time on the plates, their hole layouts, and the surrounding geometry. At this stage, I was still developing individual parts rather than working with a finished mechanism. Reworking the belt assembly I spent another 38 minutes remaking the belt-related parts. I moved between editing the plate and checking how everything fit in the full assembly. This made it easier to see how the rail, carriage, shaft supports, and belt system would work together. This is why the update contains several separate CAD sessions. I kept returning to the same mechanism as the design developed: first the pivot, then the plates and belt assembly, and eventually the encoder mounts and smaller hardware details.Choosing the encodersThe next problem was deciding which encoders to use. I researched different options and mounting arrangements, including AMT-style encoders, before deciding to use the encoders I already had. That took another 1h 1m.Choosing the encoder was only half of the problem. I still had to determine how to mount it and connect everything reliably. Encoder wiring pain The appropriately named āEncoder Wiring Painā session lasted 3h 40m. I worked through the encoder connections and looked at mounting references while figuring out how the sensor would fit into the rest of the mechanism. After that, I spent another 1h 52m making smaller mechanical changes in Onshape. By this point I was working on details around the encoder housing, connector, fasteners, and nearby parts. These changes were individually small, but they mattered because the sensor needed to fit around the existing hardware without interfering with the moving assembly.Learning state space and LQR The longest of the first eight sessions was 5h 19m. I spent it coding, learning about state-space control and LQR, and continuing some of the CAD work.I worked through notes for a state-space model and LQR controller for a cart double-pendulum system. This included defining the systemās state vector and understanding how the state-space equations describe its motion. This part was mainly development and learning. I havenāt established a successful balancing test from these recordings yet, so the controller still needs to be implemented, tuned, and tested on the real mechanism.Hardware work and final CAD changes The last recording covers hands-on hardware work alongside a few final CAD changes. So, Iāve decided to make some wireless dice. I realize they already exist, but they always seem to be over $20 a die not including the charging dock. So Iām going to do it for less (I hope). Anyway, hereās my initial schematic of the dice and the dock. The hardest part of this design is going to be fitting it inside the dice without making them much bigger, though some dice will have to be bigger. (Iām looking at you d4)
I have begun the layout of the pcb that will go inside the die. i will be using a flex pcb, so that I can fold it around the inside of the die, since Iām working everything in a 10x10 mm space. Iām hoping I can keep it that small, since some dice are smaller than others and I want to mostly keep the same internals for the different dice. I do still have to make a footprint for the supercapacitor Iām using (currently C3, but itās not correct), which will go in the center.
I finished the PCB for the die. There will be one of these in each die, but it should function with the same design for each die. The firmware will just have to be slightly different for each so the 3-axis accelerometer knows what each side is supposed to read. I did finally get my custom footprint for the supercapacitor working as well. Hereās some pictures of the design and PCB render. Itās going to be a flex PCB so it can fit in a 10x10x10mm space
I made the PCB for the charging hub. I also turned it into a panel, so that the entire thing will fit in a 100x100 mm order rather than several orders. This will be a flex PCB, which is not ideal for the hub, but needed for the dice themselves. There are 7 dice here, but I will only be making 6. I also added a Notes system using localStorage so notes stay saved after refreshing the page. The most challenging part was getting the window system to work properly. I had to make windows open and close, move around by dragging their headers, and come to the front when clicked. Making all the different apps work together without making the project unnecessarily complicated was also challenging. Iām proud that I turned a basic idea into a working OS-like website with multiple apps and interactions. I also like that the final design is my own instead of just copying the guide. Adding the saved Notes feature was something I specifically wanted to make different from the basic version. No password or account is needed. Open the Demo URL and try the desktop icons or the dock to launch the apps. Try dragging the windows around, opening multiple windows, using the Calculator and Focus Timer, switching between light and dark mode, and creating a note. Notes can be saved and will remain after refreshing the page. Devlog 1 ā Starting NOVA OS. Today I started my WebOS 1 project again from scratch. My first version became too complicated, so this time I wanted to keep it simple and actually understand the code I write.I started with a basic desktop and added three apps: Notes, About and Calculator. The windows can open and close, but I still need to add dragging and more features. For now Iām focusing on getting the basic structure working before making it look better.

I made NOVA OS, a web-based operating system built with HTML, CSS and JavaScript. It has a custom desktop, draggable windows, desktop icons, a dock, live clock/date, Notes, Calculator, Focus Timer, Projects, notifications, and dark/light mode. The Ć button closes windows, and pressing Escape closes open windows.
I made NOVA-OS , an operationg system with clock , calculator , about , notes features . Making them draggable was the most difficult part of this project . However I managed to it with different sources and examples . Finally i completed the project...

I have switched to NumPy and the performance is very WOW (sorry, I dont know how to describe it ;-;). But the conversion just take about 15-30 mins (tks to Claude for explaining things for me), the whole remaining time is just me trying to figuring out why Ly (the display manager) keep throwing out of bound error, turn out it is a known bug from durdraw
The fact that this is the first commit is kinda crazy Btw, I have been setting up the CLI for ease of access and the CICD workflow so it will publish the code to PYPI for me
It is ready now š
I just found out that the background coloring is not working due to a known issue in Pythonās curses library, so the upper half unicode trick will not work for now So I make --half-frame flag as a workaround of this issue, as it still compressing 2 pixels into 1 character but just the color of the upper pixel be chosen.
Hello again I just implemented the FloydāSteinberg dithering as one of my feedback recommended and here is the result. The first image is the original, the second is the conversion result without dithering and the third is result with dithering. You can enable dithering with --dither flags
