Finished styling, and main html. I like going for this bold and minimal monochrome theme. Next is adding local storage, javascript, and rotating “tips”
Added more tooltips and local storage. next step is a page to view your saved tips
added a saved things page, same as the new_things page, just saves what you want
Ships:
I made a web page that gives you tooltips everyone forgets time to time. you can view saved tips from the saved page. this solves having to spend the time researching, just open this page and find what you need...

MeowGame! Devlog #1 First Devlog of this project! Godot is completely new to me, so I used the first hour to follow the guide and get a grasp on the basics. I added a start menu and the level_scene as told by the guide. Looking forward to continue working on this project.
MeowGame! Devlog #2 Pretty much finished the guide now I added two minigames, a win screen and a lose screen. It got a lot easier after understanding the basics of how Godot works and I got through it fairly easily. I really enjoyed creating my own custom textures (first time doing this). Some of it is nightmare fuel though (I can’t draw cats) I’m still in the process of refining some stuff and hope I can get to the 5 hour requirement while doing so.
MeowGame! Devlog #3 Spent a bit of time on art and polishing the game. I added: Flasks as a life counter New Background ✨ Animated character for the platformer minigame Polished some small stuff Overall very enjoyable project, I hope my drawing skills aren’t too bad Will ship now.
MeowGame! Devlog #4 Added a Flappy Bird game I added a space themed flappy bird game. This was my first time doing a bit of proper coding in GDscript, everything is still a bit weird for me. Redid some art. I updated the art for the platformer minigame, I hope it looks a bit better now.
MeowGame! Devlog #5 I added a Pong game I added a simple pong minigame. There’s not much to say about that, it’s pretty self-explanatory. Also, particles I figured out how the particle system works and have implemented some in a few places. Sounds! I added a coin pickup sound. That’s all, cheers!
MeowGame! Devlog #6 Top down racing game I added a top down racing game, you have to complete one lap before the timer ends. I also experimented a bit with lighting and stuff. I don’t quite understand it yet but it looks fun.
Let there be light MeowGame! Devlog #7 I started experimenting with lights. I recently found out that lights and stuff exist in 2d, so I experimented a bit. I added some lights and glow to my first platformer minigame. I also spent some time redrawing the player sprite. I wanted to have one that’s a bit more detailed to avoid a big difference in pixel size. That’s all :D
MeowGame! Devlog #8 It’s a long one, I got a bit carried away I changed some minigames so that it all fits one theme (forests and stuff) Changed the Pong minigame into a game where you have to collect fruit that falls from a tree. Also replaced the racing game with a minigame kinda like Geometry Dash. Changed the art on the flappy bird game to fit the forest theme more. More minigames! I added two more minigames (I think) A doodle jump game where you have to reach the top. A game where you have to maneuver a raft through obstacles Also did some minor quality of life improvements. That’s all :D
MeowGame Devlog #9 Some small stuff I did some performance improvements and added some particle effects. I added a falling leaves effect to the 4th minigame (I think) and added some wind particles to a few other minigames. I had to change the particles from GPUParticles2d to CPUParticles2d, otherwise the browser lags for some reason. I forgot what else I may have done that wasn’t there before.
MeowGame Devlog #10 (Wow a 10th devlog already) Normal maps and god rays God rays I found a shader for god rays online and decided to put them in my scenes. Very pretty things they are Normal Maps I found out that normal maps exist. I proceeded to add a normal map to almost every texture in the game. It isn’t a huge difference but it’s there and that’s cool.
MeowGame Devlog #11 More stuff Pause menu I added a pause menu. You can choose to return to the main menu now. Thanks to whoever gave me this idea. Some particles I added a few particles to some levels. The first minigame I changed it a bit and also added some lanterns Controls Controls for the next minigame are now visible during the intermission. Also added arrow keys and stuff back into the controls. Ambient sound I added ambient sound to all levels (I think)
MeowGame Devlog #12 Even more fixes and small changes Some more decoration and visual stuff I added some bushes in the background of two minigames. I also adjusted the lighting a bit. Particle changes I changed the particles a bit. Some of them should be more noticable now. Pause menu update You can now find settings inside the pause menu. Audio fix I found out the volume that was being changed with the slider in the game settings wasn’t working probably, so I fixed that. Timer changes I changed the timers on some minigames so the game is a bit more balanced. Clicking sound There is now a sound when you click menu buttons because why not Timer visibility The timer wasn’t visible in one or two minigames, so that’s fixed too. README I also updated the README a bit in preperation for shipping. That should be all
Ships:
(Please read the README first) MeowGame! is a WarioWare inspired game with two minigames: A platformer and a clicker game. The difficulty is very easy please keep that in mind. The art is all drawn by hand so it may look a bit silly. Quite a fun experience creating my first game. I got a grasp of the basics of Godot now and am excited to further develog this game.
MeowGame MeowGame is a forest-themed WarioWare style game featuring 7 minigames! All art is drawn by me, it’s my first time doing this, so don’t expect it to look fabulous. The minigames: Platformer Clicking Game Fly through obstacles (Like Flappy Bird) Collect falling fruit Jump over spiky bushes Climb to the top (Kind of like Doodle Jump) Maneuver a raft There’s also a pause menu, just press the Esc key. If you’re stuck, the controls are shown during the intermission just before the game. It took me quite a while to get accustomed to everything, from the basic Godot UI to drawing the pixel art. I learned quite a lot throughout this whole process and am pretty happy about the result. Looking back, there are definitely things I would’ve done differently, but as my first step into game development this is pretty good I think. I redid a bunch of stuff on the way and kept changing stuff. it took me a while to get a unified theme going (forest and stuff) Also if you haven’t noticed, the character I drew is inspired from Sekiro. Drawing that character was the hardest, especially the walking animation....

So I started off like the guide suggests by making a title for the page and a description of this site and its purpose. Subsequently, I made the Header (top navigation bar) and added only the About Me, Portfolio, and Contact Me links and sections. And then ADDED 3 EXTRA SECTIONS A STARDANCE ONE, A SITE DESCRIPTION ONE and A BLOGS SECTION. I ALSO MADE A CURSOR HIGHLIGHT with javascript and A LIVE TAB where anyone can see WHAT I AM ON CURRENTLY. ALSO I ADDED A DROPDOWN FOR BETTER APEARANCE ON THE NAV BAR.
I changed most of the site. I added in the Javascript, 100 lines of Javascript. I basically created a more soul casing and flashy portfolio, if you will, that I certainly liked. Here is a small example. You can go see it. Everything is uploaded.
I started from zero. I started from zero, but not really, because now I had all the foundations I needed to create a perfect, full-on, very good app that represents me and is my personal website. So I started with the same boilerplate code for all three HTML files. Then I added icons from Auto Icons pack in Figma package that GitHub gave me. Thank you, GitHub, for giving me the chance to subscribing to your GitHub Developer Student Pack. Brooooooooooooooo! I rebranded again! Now it is the best version yet! It is a retro game console super mario inspired site. Most work was doing the css it was DREADFULL tbh. now I am designing the images!!
This site I finally feel is something that represents me + it has a better UX/UI overall! It is quite Neet SO here is what I added: EVERYTHING changed Here is WHAT CHANGED New Landing page features pixelart I made 2 types of content bgs: one for serius staff blank white 👌👌 and one for more silly and myself stuff pixelated letter paper Ig or smth (it is just yellowish and has black outline like wow) H for a very cool menu/hub inspired by playstation mid game dropdown activated by the ps button. SCROLL DOWN prompt to signify there is more to see I was told the colour pallete was not optimal to say the least so now it is much simpler paler and themed altho there are some hints from the previous one (i love purple) Now the screen is actually snap screen so 2 categories won’t overlap Replaced Spotify copycat w/ a game selection menu where more info are only available by tapping the middle button (github icon) Plus a small pixelated version of me gliding on your screen
Fixed some sizing issues and text overflow! I added some more details!Previous devlog mostly describes this!
I spent 3 hrs to make my own music track ro bg music to my personal website and I had to learn sonic pi from ground up so I can show it in my personal site as a coding achievement and I think it is rly solid if you want to mute it u can mute the whole page.
I added a my artsy side section in which you can click a polaroid photo and get teleported to my creation. I am thinking of adding custo contact links and game selector controls skip previous and play and then implement them in this site! I also updated the bg music to all the pages of my site except blogs cause thay gotta be read in seriousness. second screenshot is hover animation!
Drew all network links: https://lapse.hackclub.com/timelapse/tVeIk_5bqSzo and fixed them to 50 by 50 with css. Now I am off to the github repository selector where I basically need to draw one arrow and flip it upside down once so it will be very easy! Then I don’t know what else I could! However I am very happy by how it has turned out cause it expresses me better than any previous version!
I cleanedup the css cause it was a mess and I replaced the white boring div card with my pixelated fun super cool yellow version: This WAS NOT as eay as it seems. With fully operational v1 of the bot, here’s what you need to know: The SpartPing discord bot is a bot designed to call your friends for you, literally! Mentioning users to attract their attention quickly becomes annoying, and when it’s time to assemble the crew, the message quickly becomes very long and mainly consists of “@ user1, @ user2, etc.”. Discord solved this problem by adding roles that can be pinged, but that introduces new problems, that SmartPing is designed to solve: Discord enforces a strict limit of 250 roles per server, and a large community might have better uses for those than organizing 15 people to play minecraft once a week. SmartPing solves this by organizing and mentioning users via its own system, independent of roles You need a relatively high access level within a discord server to be able to create and manage, so the amount of people capable of that is limited, especially on a large server. Solution: since SmartPing is independent of the role system, call groups can be created and managed by regular users, with server admins always being able to intervene and take control if needed Should you create a role, it is either only mentionable by administrators or everyone. Former is only viable for announcements, and cannot be used by users to organize themselves. Latter introduces the ability for users to spam the role. This is once again solved by SmartPing by enforcing a once-per-five-minutes ping policy that can only be circumvented by server admins Development of this bot touched, among other things on asynchronous python code and event listeners/handlers, the latter of which is not implemented in hikari, so the handlers for the commands, autocomplete (did i mention the bot features autocomplete for group names?) and callback actions were written by me manually! I also had to touch up on my database knowledge, which, while is kind of annoying, was a lot of fun. I deployed to my dad’s (thanks, dad!) heroku server, where it is to stay for the foreseeable future You can try the bot out yourself, today! After adding it to your server, start by using /group create to create your first call group and then go from there! Devlogs:
Hello, world! So far i have created infrastructure that allows me to easily add and manage commands for the bot
I have rewritten the bot to use Discord’s built in interactions, which enables it to send messages visible to the command issuer TODO: database 🥲
Slowly but steadily, i’m setting up the database
After a little shenanigans, i finally got autocomplete hints to pull data from the database
Database code now allows for creating and joining groups, honoring users with admin permissions I also created a dedicated error code system, instead of relying on try-catch to get all my info
Currently working on deleting and managing call groups
Most of the bot is now fully working! This includes: Creating, joining, leaving and deleting groups Calling groups Checking user eligibility to call said groups based on group policies TODO: Invites to private groups
Group invites are now being handled properly! This turned out not as hard as i thought it’d be, only requiring one top-level handler function, that could be arranged similarly to the other two i had for commands and autocomplete TODO: settatr for groups
The bot is slowly nearing completion! I’ve finished implementing rest of the commands, such as setting group parameters, added better arg parsing, etc.. All that’s left now is to polish the code, add final touches and deploy it
The bot is nearly complete! Transferring group ownership or deleting it now brings up a dialog
With some final touches, the bot is deployed to heroku and ready to ship!
Ships:
Sup, it sure has been a minute! All commands are available and documented through discord’s in-built slash command system Peace!...

So I actually patched to to a new custom server, which should have both footer & a very basic homepage, but for some reason it’s quite mad at what i’m sending it, and I am yet to find out why....

I started on the prototype design, still need to work on it more. I also need to learn how the heck a microcontroller works
devlog #2: I continued designing the prototype, here’s a picture :3 (how do i upload lookout time lapses)
I accidentally posted this already in my other project, i already deleted that devlog. This is the v2 design for the prototype, v1 was kinda unpractical, this version only uses 1 servo. I’ll start printing it tomorrow ps: how do you export lookout timelapses
I made my first prototype , I’ll make the v3 design next with a bowden cable, the AMA with jared issacman was very fun.(if the video doesnt work for you, there’s a image on the second slide) ps: do you guys think 2 cables in a single ptfe tube will work and not get tangled. Oh yeah, and should i harvest this thing for parts
i finished the v3 design, i still need to buy the ptfe tubes for the bowden mechanisms. V3 is much more compact than v2 and this time the servo is actually secured to the servo mount (turns out you needs to click “force send heartbeat” to update your time for the onshape wakatime addon)
here’s the v3 prototype design, i’ve printed a few test prints but i still need to figure out how to hold the bowden tubes
I did a bunch of printing today, the v3 servo assembly is done, I still need to remake the v3.5 base because of tolerances
so i made v3.5, there’s some rope tension issues, but I think i can move on to make a full scale prototype
i finished the full scale v1 prototype(left is full size ear, right is the ear used on the previous prototype
i started work on the pcb for the full size wearable and apparently i hate myself because someone decided it would be a good idea to make the battery charging circuit from scratch (1 ak)
so i decided to make a custom pcb im also going to start designing the final version btw, will my charging circuit explode?...

Most hospital software is clunky, slow, and painful to look at, so I wanted to make something modern that actually feels good to use for daily clinic rounds. It’s split into an Express.js REST API hosted on a Linux VPS behind a Cloudflare tunnel, a React 18 + Vite dashboard with Tailwind CSS and Radix UI primitives, and packaged as an Electron desktop app for clinic workstations. It covers the complete clinical flow across 6 roles (Super Admin, Admin, Doctor, Receptionist, Pharmacy, and Diagnostics) — from patient check-in and live queues to digital prescriptions, lab orders, inventory management, and PDF invoices. The most challenging part was session management and granular RBAC. In real clinics, doctors get interrupted constantly; standard 15-minute JWT timeouts were kicking them out mid-consultation. I built a 30-day extended session architecture with rolling token renewals and inactivity tracking, while ensuring cross-department data (like an Rx immediately updating pharmacy stock and billing) flows seamlessly. I’m most proud of the UI responsiveness — it switches views instantly and feels smooth, even with dark mode and live charts. To test it out: Open the live web app: https://auracare-gamma.vercel.app On the login page, click the “Sandbox Demo Login” button — you can pick any role (Doctor, Receptionist, Admin, etc.) to jump straight in without signing up! Windows desktop installer is also available in the GitHub releases: https://github.com/AuraZod/AuraCare-CRM/releases", "repo": "https://github.com/AuraZod/AuraCare-CRM", "demo": "https://auracare-gamma.vercel.app"}]...

"text": "Devlog 9 finally done. literally coding until my fingers are numb. completed the entire crm frontend and the desktop wrapper is fully functional. no more mock gaps or missing files. here is the breakdown of what happened: frontend modules (crmfrontend): finished the pharmacy inventory page (pharmacyinventory.tsx). it handles full batch tracking, manufacturing/expiry dates, cost/selling price margins, gst calculation (5%, 12%, 18%), and hsn codes. also threw in reorder level alerts when stock drops below threshold. built out pharmacybilling.tsx from scratch. doctors write rx, pharmacist pulls it, builds the bill with automatic gst and prints receipt. made pharmacycustomers.tsx to track loyalty points, lifetime spend, and outstanding balances. has a quick reminder trigger. wrote pharmacyprescriptions.tsx to handle the incoming doctor prescription queues. pharmacists can do complete or partial dispensing if we are short on stock. added pharmacypurchase.tsx for restock orders and supplier inventory ingestion. built pharmacyreports.tsx for tracking medicine usage patterns and monthly sales dashboards. all routes are auth-locked in app.tsx using role-based routing policies (doctor, pharmacist, receptionist, admin, super-admin). styling is built using vanilla tailwind classes alongside shadcn UI components like dialogs, tables, and dropdown menus for layout consistency. data fetching is managed using tanstack react-query to cache active lists and handles state mutators for adding/editing items. toast notifications via sonner trigger real-time updates for pharmacy sales completions and out of stock warnings. integrated standard currency formatters to display indian rupee values properly in all tables. desktop wrapper (auracaredesktop): spun up electron setup. main.js manages window dimensions (1400x900 min, resizable) and ipc communication channels. preload.js sets up contextbridge and ipcrenderer exposing window controls safely without opening nodeintegration. connection strategy: in dev, package.json uses concurrently and wait-on to launch the frontend dev server on port 8080 and then point the electron browser window loadurl to localhost:8080. for prod, we run electron-builder which bundles our assets. npm build script builds the react frontend, copies dist to desktop/frontend-dist, and main.js loads it locally via loadfile. configured cross-platform packaging target options for windows (nsis installer, portable executables), mac (dmg, zip), and linux (appimage, deb) in package.json. added native OS window hooks for minimized, maximized, and close events so client-side buttons in the custom titlebar work. added shell handler for opening external web links in native browser instead of electron window. assets folder holds local icons configured for specific OS packing rules (ico, icns, png). how it connects: the desktop shell is just a container running our react client, which talks to the node/express backend via api client calls to VITE_API_URL. ipc communication checks the app version and process platform. window actions (minimize, maximize, close) are wired back to the ipcMain handler. if backend is unreachable, the API services default to local mock fallback data so the app does not freeze. auth tokens are saved in localstorage inside the web view which carries over across app launches. took way too long to align the dist copy paths in the build script. had a dumb bug where frontend-dist was missing and loading a blank screen, but fixed the cp target path. compilation is completely green now. going to collapse."}, {"post_id": 7129, "ts": "2026-06-11T22:13:59Z", "hours": 9.46, "text": "Devlog 8 coded for 10 hours straight. brain is absolutely fried but got most of the core pages done. the lopsided progress is finally balancing out. frontend is starting to talk to the backend client. made some serious headway: user-management.tsx: admin controls, user activity graphs, and session tracking. shows average response times and role badges. billing-finance.tsx: invoice lists, revenue breakdowns (upi, cash, card), stats, and mock trends. pharmacy/pharmacy-customers.tsx: mapped patients to pharmacy profiles. tracked loyalty points and total amount spent, plus warning badges for outstanding dues. app.tsx: wired up all the protected routes and role permissions. admins, doctors, pharmacists all see different stuff now. what’s left: pharmacy-inventory.tsx is half-baked. literally stopped at line 65 state declaration because i needed a break. need to add medicine batch dialogs, GST calculations, and stock levels. missing pharmacy-prescriptions.tsx, pharmacy-purchase.tsx, and pharmacy-reports.tsx files completely. they’re imported in app.tsx but the files don’t exist on disk yet. build will crash if i try to compile right now. actual integrations testing with the express backend. right now it falls back to mock data if the local server isn’t running. need to build the electron wrapper for desktop and expo for mobile later. everything is coming together. the app finally feels like a real crm instead of just a bunch of empty files. going to sleep now. Devlog 8 coded for 10 hours straight. brain is absolutely fried but got most of the core pages done. the lopsided progress is finally balancing out. frontend is starting to talk to the backend client. made some serious headway: user-management.tsx: admin controls, user activity graphs, and session tracking. shows average response times and role badges. billing-finance.tsx: invoice lists, revenue breakdowns (upi, cash, card), stats, and mock trends. pharmacy/pharmacy-customers.tsx: mapped patients to pharmacy profiles. tracked loyalty points and total amount spent, plus warning badges for outstanding dues. app.tsx: wired up all the protected routes and role permissions. admins, doctors, pharmacists all see different stuff now. what’s left: pharmacy-inventory.tsx is half-baked. literally stopped at line 65 state declaration because i needed a break. need to add medicine batch dialogs, GST calculations, and stock levels. missing pharmacy-prescriptions.tsx, pharmacy-purchase.tsx, and pharmacy-reports.tsx files completely. they’re imported in app.tsx but the files don’t exist on disk yet. build will crash if i try to compile right now. actual integrations testing with the express backend. right now it falls back to mock data if the local server isn’t running. need to build the electron wrapper for desktop and expo for mobile later. everything is coming together. the app finally feels like a real crm instead of just a bunch of empty files. going to sleep now. Project Screenshot The attached screenshot is ai generated as the final devlog will contain demo link to try website yourselves.
Devlog 9 finally done. literally coding until my fingers are numb. completed the entire crm frontend and the desktop wrapper is fully functional. no more mock gaps or missing files. here is the breakdown of what happened: frontend modules (crmfrontend): finished the pharmacy inventory page (pharmacyinventory.tsx). it handles full batch tracking, manufacturing/expiry dates, cost/selling price margins, gst calculation (5%, 12%, 18%), and hsn codes. also threw in reorder level alerts when stock drops below threshold. built out pharmacybilling.tsx from scratch. doctors write rx, pharmacist pulls it, builds the bill with automatic gst and prints receipt. made pharmacycustomers.tsx to track loyalty points, lifetime spend, and outstanding balances. has a quick reminder trigger. wrote pharmacyprescriptions.tsx to handle the incoming doctor prescription queues. pharmacists can do complete or partial dispensing if we are short on stock. added pharmacypurchase.tsx for restock orders and supplier inventory ingestion. built pharmacyreports.tsx for tracking medicine usage patterns and monthly sales dashboards. all routes are auth-locked in app.tsx using role-based routing policies (doctor, pharmacist, receptionist, admin, super-admin). styling is built using vanilla tailwind classes alongside shadcn UI components like dialogs, tables, and dropdown menus for layout consistency. data fetching is managed using tanstack react-query to cache active lists and handles state mutators for adding/editing items. toast notifications via sonner trigger real-time updates for pharmacy sales completions and out of stock warnings. integrated standard currency formatters to display indian rupee values properly in all tables. desktop wrapper (auracaredesktop): spun up electron setup. main.js manages window dimensions (1400x900 min, resizable) and ipc communication channels. preload.js sets up contextbridge and ipcrenderer exposing window controls safely without opening nodeintegration. connection strategy: in dev, package.json uses concurrently and wait-on to launch the frontend dev server on port 8080 and then point the electron browser window loadurl to localhost:8080. for prod, we run electron-builder which bundles our assets. npm build script builds the react frontend, copies dist to desktop/frontend-dist, and main.js loads it locally via loadfile. configured cross-platform packaging target options for windows (nsis installer, portable executables), mac (dmg, zip), and linux (appimage, deb) in package.json. added native OS window hooks for minimized, maximized, and close events so client-side buttons in the custom titlebar work. added shell handler for opening external web links in native browser instead of electron window. assets folder holds local icons configured for specific OS packing rules (ico, icns, png). how it connects: the desktop shell is just a container running our react client, which talks to the node/express backend via api client calls to VITE_API_URL. ipc communication checks the app version and process platform. window actions (minimize, maximize, close) are wired back to the ipcMain handler. if backend is unreachable, the API services default to local mock fallback data so the app does not freeze. auth tokens are saved in localstorage inside the web view which carries over across app launches. took way too long to align the dist copy paths in the build script. had a dumb bug where frontend-dist was missing and loading a blank screen, but fixed the cp target path. compilation is completely green now. going to collapse.
I had medical issues and couldn’t post more devlogs moving forward, neither I was able to finish the entire project to be supported in multiple platforms, but i’ve still made the web and desktop version of this project……..

I built AuraCare CRM — a fast, lightweight healthcare and clinic management system. Windows desktop installer is also available in the GitHub releases: https://github.com/AuraZod/AuraCare-CRM/releases...

It has four sensors, pH, conductivity, dissolved organic matter, and turbidity. It constantly uses these sensors to take measurements and sends it to a locally hosted Python Flask server tunneled using Ngrok. After the buoy is collected from the water, the server will analyse the data and find out where the water quality started to worsen, therefore finding out where riverine polution might be. Although the project wasn’t very complicated, I faced many many problems. The most memorable and most fustrating ones: I use a step up module to turn the 4v from my 18650 to 5v for my ESP32 C3 Supermini. But the step up often randomly output over 20v, though it is set for 5v. I later found out that its because a loose connection between my battery and the step up, but the voltage spikes has badly burnt many things in my circuit. The ESP32 C3 Supermini suddenly cannot connect to my computer. I tried holding down boot button, boot and reset, redownload a driver, and trying all the ports on my computer and in Arduino IDE. But it just won’t work. So I changed to a Arduino Nano. But that just made things worse. The Arduino Nano successfully connected to my computer, but it often corrupts recieved UART signals from my cellular module. Later I found out that its because the Arduino Nano’s clock is a bit off for 112500 baud. This made things more complicated because I need to start the UART communication between the Nano and the cellular module at 112500 (since my cellular module is default 112500 when start up), then request the cellular module to turn down to 9600, and then change the Nano UART back to 9600. It did finally work tho. I guess this is the worst nightmare in my project. My project uses a pair of 18650 in parallel, as it can have more power to sustain my buoy for longer. But the cellular module often shut down right after it turns on. It turns out that the celular module can pull up to 2 amps when connecting to the cellular tower and sending messages, which is causing the voltage drop. However, this was weird because the two 18650 cells I had is the Samsung 25R, which has a max discharge of 20 amps. Parallel means that the max discharge become 40 amps, which is wayyyyyyy more than the 2 amps required. So the problem must not be the batteries. Or is it? I suspect that the batteries are fake. They weigh pretty normal, being 44 grams. I checked the imprints on the wrapping, and it did have a legitemate manufacture date code that says someday in 2017 (I forgot which day it was, but it was 2017). And I also took off the battery wrapping, and it did had Samsung factory imprints on the metal. So the battery is good, the cellular module can only take up to 2 amps….. then the problem must be between the cellular module and the battery! And it was. It was the thin jumper wires and breadboard that decreased the voltage when the current increased. Shorter thicker wires solved it. There was actually much more issues, but these are the most memorable ones for me. I am glad that my project turns out to be working, becuase i genuinely thought that it would never work when making it.", "repo": "https://github.com/LukeHuang2026/Project_Flowmark", "demo": ""}]...

It kinda works for a while but then the voltage dips and the module turns itself off. Its most likely the thin wires, and I optimised it as much as I can, but the same thing happens. I will charge my batteries up again and if it still dont’ work I will just skip my MOSFET circuit that turns the module on and off, as this thing still has a bit of thin wires. If it STILL dont’ work I give up. My 18650 can go up to 8 amps max apparenlty, so it should support 16 amps. My module only uses 2 amps, so it should work if there was minimal wires. Hopefully, finger crossed. If this doesn’t work im cooked. In the end I discovered that it is my string commands that I am sending to my cellular module that is gobbling up all my memory, so I used F() macro to put them into flash memory. My screen can’t connect after that change. I found out that by rendering a frame the screen library takes up 1024 bytes of dynamic memory, which is over the limit for my Arduino Nano. However, I made the dissolved organic matter solution a while ago, and it doesn’t seem to absorb UV anymore. However, two of my step ups randomly jump to 20v for a while and then will jump back to exactly 5v, and after a while 20v again. I tried another step up, and that one won’t go down below 10v. I thought that its probably my circuit drawing too less power causing the booster to be unstable, so i added a 470 ohm resistor to the outputs. It still didn’t work after a while. I was very confused and forgot to pull out the resistor out of the malfunctioning booster that was at 20v…. the parallel 18650s made it even worse. So then I smell something burning. I didn’t know that it was the resistor burning, so I just took the resistor off with my fingers, and I got burnt. D: But later I found out that its actually so dumb. I wasn’t sure if my step ups were working at first so I didn’t fully secure the battery wires into the terminals, so in case something went wrong I can just immediately pull the power source out. However, the bad connection of the wires with the terminal made the step up really unstable, causing it to jump to random high voltages. Devlogs:
Water buoy data sending and reciever server code. Just finishing on the finshing of from what I did before.
Turns out i forgot to do a huge chunk of the reciever code, which is to analyse and display the data. I finished most, just a bit left!
I coded most of the analysis programme for the reciever. It can calculate how far down a pollution source affect from GPS data from my buoy, identify turbidity and dissolved organic matter problems, and respond to sudden change in pH or conductivity.
My code is going to be really buggy, so I added some debugging print() for easier debugging to the local server.
I added another function to my analysis of the data, which can combine the individual sources detected from each of the different water quality sensors into real sources that may be the source for many of the individual sources.
I debugged the extremely buggy server data analysis code, with help from deepseek because the arrays are getting a bit messy.
I ran the buoy code and debugged it. There was a few code mistakes and a few power source problems, but it was alright. However, the server code on the right seems very buggy, millions of errors. Hopefully its not that bad when I test that later.
I FINALLY debugged the server analysis system. I made a new more organised and simpified code since my original one is way to over OVER complicated.
After more than a total of 20 hours of coding, debugging, restarting, crashes…. The server code is working. :D
Today I started making the 3D model for the buoy itself. I finished most of it, including the top controls, GPS solar panel, and the space for the electronics.
I emailed a few councils in my country for some feedback onto my project, since they are part of the stakeholders. They said that I should add confidence level for GPS, CSV file save, adjustable measurement intervals, and official guildeline comparism. I added savable CSV for the data and adjustable intervals, but I didn’t do confidence level for GPS cuz my GPS module doesn’t measure carrier to noise ratio. I didn’t do the official guildeline comparism because I made most of the sensors and the only way to convert the data from the sensors to official units is to use calibration sollutions, which is kinda expensive.
I printed the parts for my buoy, some needs reprinting. I installed some working parts, and glued some sensor windows with ab epoxy for waterproof. Theres still lots of work to do!
I put most of my electronics into my buoy casing. The wires are totally very neat and I totally don’t need a flashlight and tweezers to move teh wires. (its way worse than it looks) Theres still a bunch of parts I need to add. I think the buoy is going to sink because the wires weight too much :P. And i feel like my wires are made out of resistors a whole volt dissapeared in a single section of wire.
I tried to test my circuit that i put inside the casing, but there was some problems with the step up booster to make the 4v from my 2 parallel18650 into 5v. So I guess by being more carefull I actually ended up worse…..? Ok I see. :D Also most of my circuit was connected to the step up (thats even dumber), and the 20v fried my conductivity module, and I think maybe my sensors too but I still need to check (fingers crossed). T_T very cooked
Today I tried to figure out which of my components have been fried by my dc booster accident. Luckily, its just the photodiode (OPT101) that i use to test turbidity. I didn’t believe that it was broken even though it outputted strait 0v with light and without light, since it apparenlty can handle up to 36v. But after lots of testing i think it is indeed broken. I soldered on a new one, but i soldered the pin headers teh wrong way around (this is like the 1 billionth time i did this wrong) so I tried to take the headers off. But i didn’t have any solder wick or anything, so i tried to pull the headers off (which is very very stupid), and i did pull the headers off… along with a big chunk of the PCB. So yeah, no more photodiodes. But fortunately I do have some LDRs and ill use tehm, hope its accurate enough.
Today I sat in my desk all day at my project. I made all the sensor connection work, power system, soldering stuff (and getting burnt 99999 times), drilling holes, epoxy resin -ing (they should invent a word for this), and coding. It feels like its going to work, but I still need to wait to tomorrow to do a few final changes to my code and test it.
I got a bucket and put some pollutants in there (dirt and DIY-ed dissolved organic matter), to test the sensors (that detects pollution by seeing how much light it absorbs, UV for organic matter and normal light for turbidity) and getting a threshold value that will define what is polluted water and what is not for my water quality buoy. However, I made the dissolved organic matter solution a while ago, and it doesn’t seem to absorb UV anymore. Apparently its because the bacteria ate all the organic matter, or it precipitated out as large clumped molecules. But I can’t be bothered to make some fresh solution so I just made up some values for the organic matter sensor (very scientific approach :D).
Today I did a bit more work on the buttons and screen.
Today I wished to do more but my productivity is very cooked recently. I planned to add all the final features to my code, but ended up only debugging the OLED mini display. But ok its working so I guess its alr.
Another day of extreme unproductiveness. I only tried to debug my cellular module turning on and off by itself, but didn’t really solve it. Module rebooting cycle T_T :
Today I restarted my wiring since my esp32 c3 supermini isn’t responding to my code uploads and I had to change to a Arduino Nano. And now the pH sensor doesn’t work and the organic matter sensor doesn’t work either. Hopefully i can find some magical way out tomorrow but now idk what it is because.

Today I did a lot of fixing in my code, but its way too buggy and I still didn’t fix all of them in 10 hours. Here are some bugs that is fixed and some changes: Dynamic memory on Arduino Nano is running out, so I tried to use the U8G2 library for my mini screen instead of the Adafruit library, but its actually using more memory and is more buggy than Adafruit. Arduino UART is recieving corrupted data from my cellular module. After a bit, I figured out that the built in timer of the Arduino Nano is not precise enough for 112500 baud rate, so I lowered it to 9600.
Today I finished all the debugging and my floating buoy is ready for testing.
Today I wrote a script for my video about my project so I can enter a competition. But they limit the video to be 5 minutes long, which is basicly 800 words max, but half way through i already have 1.4k words. If there is no limit i feel lik i can write a whole paper about it. But I’ll try to make it as short as possible so I don’t have to get a buzz cut and become real slim shady :D
Today I planned a presentation about my project for UWEN Annual General Meeting. Hopefully I can get their oppinions on how i should imrpove my solution as they are my stakehoders.
Today I tried to power my cellular module with my two 18650 in parallel. But lets not think too much yk things always work out after you charge ur lithium batteries overnight cuz ur table will probably catch on fire and everything will be burnt out and u will never have to worry about it again. srry i don’t have a photo
Today I finally made my cellular module work, as before it always shut down due to thin wires burning up too much voltage. My free floating buoy is ready for testing!
Today I almsot finished the slides for my presentation for UWEN next week, so I can go there and get some feedback.
Ships:
I made a buoy that can float freely down a river. I am glad that my project turns out to be working, becuase i genuinely thought that it would never work when making it....

Whenever I am designing a project, I use online calculator for many things: Ohm’s Law, Voltage Divider, Transmission Line. These are just the most common. Language support As you can see everything is translated and has no impact on performance. Further plans I still have to add a few calculators. I was thinking about: Voltage divider Capacitor filter for bridge rectifier Transmission lines
Devlog #04 Overview I added a menu and fully finished Ohm’s law calculator. Menu From the menu you can now select what calculator you want to use. For now there aren’t too many options but there will be more in the future. Ohm’s Law Calculator This section is now fully finished! You have to select what to calculate, input all remaining parameters and click Calculate.
Devlog #05 Overview Voltage divider is now finished! Features For this calculator I decided to add combo boxes to select resistance units. It is quite useful sometimes. And everything else is the exact same as Ohm’s law. You fill all the required fields and it calculates as expected.

I made an electronic calculator. That is a tool for hobbyists that want to make cool project and don’t want to deal with a lot of math. This project makes it simple since it bundles the most used equations into 1 program. I wrote it in C++ with Dear ImGui and GLFW. As rendering backend I chose OpenGL. It supports Linux....
