I made LOST SIGNAL, a small browser puzzle game where you have to follow clues and figure out what each signal is trying to tell you. I made the pages with HTML and CSS and used JavaScript for the puzzle interactions and hints. What was challenging? The hardest part was honestly getting everything to work together. I kept breaking the CSS, changing the design, fixing buttons, and debugging JavaScript when something didn’t work. Making the different pages connect properly was also more annoying than I expected . What are you proud of? I’m mostly proud that I actually finished it and made it myself. It started as a pretty simple idea, but I kept adding to it until it became an actual playable puzzle. I’m also happy with how the signals connect instead of each page just being a random puzzle. What should people know so they can test your project? Start from the beginning and don’t skip the clues. Signal 01 gives you the information you need for Signal 02, so paying attention matters. Some parts aren’t immediately obvious, and you’re supposed to investigate and figure things out instead of just clicking everything. Also, if something seems strange or hidden… it probably is.", "repo": "https://github.com/Red0x-106/Lost-signal", "demo": "https://red0x-106.github.io/Lost-signal.github.io/"}]...

Some buttons weren’t taking me to the right page, some links were broken, and a few pages just wouldn’t load properly on GitHub Pages. At one point I decided to just delete all the files from the repo and start over instead of trying to fix everything one by one.I added the project folder again and then separated and uploaded the files one by one. That made everything way easier to manage because I could actually see which files were there and which ones weren’t.I also had some problems with uppercase and lowercase letters in the file names. I didn’t realize how much that could mess up the links. A file could be there, but if the link used a different capitalization, GitHub Pages wouldn’t find it.So I went through the links and made sure they matched the actual file names exactly. After fixing all of that, I finally got the whole thing connected:Signal 01 -> Signal 02 -> Signal 03 -> Signal 04 And now… Signal 04 is finished too. Honestly, getting all the puzzles to work was only half the problem. Making all the different pages connect properly was a whole challenge by itself. But it’s finally working. No more broken links. No more random missing pages. No more GitHub Pages confusion. The whole signal chain is connected now. LOST SIGNAL IS BACK ONLINE. SIGNAL 01 -> SIGNAL 02 -> SIGNAL 03 -> SIGNAL 04 PROJECT COMPLETE. 😁😁"}, {"post_id": 76636, "ts": "2026-10-04T07:20:19Z", "hours": 0.755, "text": "Final Devlog — LOST SIGNAL And yeah… I think LOST SIGNAL is finally done. This project started as a simple idea for a puzzle website, but it ended up taking way longer than I expected. I built the pages myself with HTML and CSS, and then added JavaScript when I wanted the puzzles to actually react to what the player was doing. The first signal was probably the part I spent the most time messing around with. I had the code 18 - 5 - 4 - 24 , and the idea was that the numbers weren’t really numbers. After getting the first puzzle working, I added the wrong-attempt system, hints, and eventually the continue button that takes the player to the next part. Then came Signal 02.I wanted it to feel different from the first puzzle instead of just being another text box. The player has to use the numbers from Signal 01, find the right boxes, and then figure out what the message means. I also connected the later clues to my own website, which made the whole thing feel more like an actual trail instead of separate random puzzles.Honestly, I broke things a lot while making this. There were times when the CSS looked completely wrong, buttons didn’t look like buttons, pages didn’t match each other, and some of the JavaScript didn’t behave the way I wanted. I also kept changing small design things because I wanted the site to feel like something I actually made instead of a random template. The biggest thing I learned was that making a project isn’t just writing code until it works. A lot of the time was spent figuring out why something didn’t work, changing it, testing it again, and sometimes realizing that my first idea wasn’t even that good.I also got much more comfortable with HTML, CSS and JavaScript during this project. Before starting, I didn’t really understand how much the different parts of a website could work together. Now I can actually build a page, style it, add interactions and connect multiple pages into one project.LOST SIGNAL isn’t some huge game, but I’m genuinely happy with it because I made it myself and I learned a lot while building it. So…SIGNAL LOST. PROJECT COMPLETE. Thanks to everyone who helped me when I got stuck."}, {"post_id": 76429, "ts": "2026-10-03T14:28:49Z", "hours": 0.4156, "text": "LOST SIGNAL — CSS ImprovementsToday I mainly worked on improving the CSS of LOST SIGNAL.I changed the overall look of the signals and made the backgrounds feel more connected to the mystery/puzzle theme. Signal 01 and Signal 02 now have their own slightly different styles instead of looking exactly the same.I also cleaned up some of the spacing, borders, buttons and puzzle boxes so everything fits better on the page. I kept the grid effect in Signal 03 and the game area because it actually fits the design, but removed some of the extra lines that were making the page look too crowded.I also made sure the design still feels like LOST SIGNAL instead of making it look like a random website template.Next, I want to move forward with Signal 04 and keep improving the project as I go."}, {"post_id": 76394, "ts": "2026-10-03T12:11:42Z", "hours": 1.8469, "text": "LOST SIGNAL — Signal 03 Signal 03 is finally starting to feel like an actual game instead of just a bunch of questions.I’ve finished the first part of the Signal 03 puzzle chain. It starts with a riddle, then moves through a few different steps before leading the player to a real-world location. After that, I started working on the first actual mini-game.The player has to cross a signal area while avoiding moving obstacles. I made the player start at the bottom and the exit at the top, with multiple lanes and obstacles moving in different directions. LOST SIGNAL DEVLOG #1 I started working on a new project called LOST SIGNAL.It’s going to be an interactive puzzle game where you have to find clues, solve puzzles and figure out what is actually going on. I’m making it with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.Right now I have the basic files set up and I’m planning out the first puzzle, right now i am just creating the first puzzle!I don’t want it to be hard or boring, so anyone should play and solve them by paying attention and thinking.
LOST SIGNAL DEVLOG #2 I worked more on the first version of LOST SIGNAL.I started building the actual website using HTML and CSS. The basic game layout is now there, including the signal section, clue, answer box and decode button.I also worked on the visual style. I didn’t want it to look dry or a boring website, so I went with a darker blue and gray look with some small interface details. It’s starting to feel more like an actual game now instead of just a normal webpage.Next, I want to work on the first puzzle and make the interactions actually work.
LOST SIGNAL — Signal 01 CompleteI finally finished the first puzzle of my game, LOST SIGNAL.The first puzzle is pretty simple, but I wanted it to feel like an actual signal instead of just a normal question. The player gets this:**13 - 1 - 19 - 11 **The clue says that the numbers aren’t really numbers. The player has to figure out that they represent letters using A = 1, B = 2, C = 3…That gives:13 = M1 = A19 = S11 = KSo the final answer is mask. (BUT OBVIOUSLY I CHANGED THE WORD)I also added different hints depending on how many times the player gets the answer wrong. And after 12 wrong attempts, I added a little message because why not Signal 01 is now finished. Now I’m moving on to Signal 02, where I want to make things much more interesting and have the player move through multiple pages to find clues.
Today I finished Signal 02.I first made the Signal 02 page and added the message for the player. There is nothing to decode in this one, so the player has to look somewhere else.I also added the continue button and made it go to learn.html.Then I went back to Signal 01 because I wanted the player to only be able to reach Signal 02 after actually solving Signal 01. So I added another continue button there which stays hidden at first. After the player enters the code and gets ACCESS GRANTED, the continue button appears. Clicking it takes them to Signal 02.I also made a separate CSS section for Signal 02 so I could change its design without messing up Signal 01.Had a few stupid mistakes while doing the JS , like putting the script stuff in the wrong place, a typo in getElementById and forgetting to add the result element. Fixed those and now the flow works.Signal 01 -> solve ->ACCESS GRANTED -> CONTINUE -> Signal 02Next I can continue building the next part.
Completed the signal02 It took me long time to get through the grid box in html then i went to CSS to style the box then , I hopped to js to get the message box and to make the grid really work also after clearing the grid stage i added my site for one of the puzzle stage including my instagram ID:D
LOST SIGNAL - Signal 03 HTML DONE finally finished the whole HTML for Signal 03 at once, which is the third puzzle stage of LOST SIGNAL.This one is going to be a much bigger part of the project compared to the previous signals. I’ve finished the basic HTML structure, and now I’m moving on to the actual logic and puzzles.Next I’m going to work on the JavaScript for the puzzle stages, then the coordinate part, and after that I’ll start building the location-based section. I also want to add a small playable mini-game and another puzzle after it, so Signal 03 doesn’t just feel like a bunch of questions.I’m also planning to connect everything together so the player has to actually notice things and figure out what to do next instead of just entering random answers.I’m not sharing the answers or the actual puzzle solutions here because that would completely ruin the point of the project Signal 03 is still being built, but the main HTML structure is finally done.Next: JavaScript -> puzzles -> location section -> mini-game -> more clues.
LOST SIGNAL - Signal 03 HTML AND CSS DONE Signal 03 is finally looking like an actual part of LOST SIGNAL now.I just finished the whole HTML and CSS for Signal 03 together. This one is much bigger than the previous signals, so getting the layout and design done took a while. Now I’m moving on to the JavaScript and actually making the puzzles work.No answers or spoilers here Next: JavaScript
LOST SIGNAL - Signal 03 JavaScript Done Signal 03 is finally working now.I finished the JavaScript for the main puzzle chain. The riddle works, the equations unlock one after another, and the final coordinates appear after solving them. This part took a bit of testing because I wanted each puzzle to unlock only after the previous one was solved. The main Signal 03 puzzle is now working, so next I’m moving on to the location section and the mini-game.No answers or spoilers here.Next: Location section -> mini-game
LOST SIGNAL - Signal 03 Location Section Done Signal 03 is moving forward.I finished the location section and connected it to the main puzzle chain. The coordinates now lead to a city, and then another clue reveals the next location.I had a small stupid bug while testing because I accidentally put some Signal 03 code into the wrong file but I fixed it and everything is working now.No answers or spoilers here. Next: Mini-game
LOST SIGNAL — Signal 03 Signal 03 is finally starting to feel like an actual game instead of just a bunch of questions.I’ve finished the first part of the Signal 03 puzzle chain. There’s also a timer, so you can’t just stand there forever.I also ran into a pretty annoying JavaScript problem where the WASD controls were blocking letters inside the answer boxes . I fixed that by making the controls activate only when the mini-game is running. The whole Signal 03 mini-game is staying inside the same , file instead of making a bunch of separate pages. There’s still a lot more planned for Signal 03, including another puzzle, a hidden clue, and a memory game.Signal 03 is definitely getting bigger than the first two signals.
LOST SIGNAL — CSS ImprovementsToday I mainly worked on improving the CSS of LOST SIGNAL.I changed the overall look of the signals and made the backgrounds feel more connected to the mystery/puzzle theme. Signal 01 and Signal 02 now have their own slightly different styles instead of looking exactly the same.I also cleaned up some of the spacing, borders, buttons and puzzle boxes so everything fits better on the page. I kept the grid effect in Signal 03 and the game area because it actually fits the design, but removed some of the extra lines that were making the page look too crowded.I also made sure the design still feels like LOST SIGNAL instead of making it look like a random website template.Next, I want to move forward with Signal 04 and keep improving the project as I go.
Final Devlog — LOST SIGNAL And yeah… I think LOST SIGNAL is finally done. Thanks to everyone who helped me when I got stuck.
LOST SIGNAL – LAST - Devlog this part was actually annoying I finally got all the signals connected and working properly.I had problems with pretty much every signal. 😁😁

What did you make? Also, if something seems strange or hidden… it probably is....

first time working on my old website in 2 years! took me a while to familarise myself with things I wrote at 13 lol Replaced redundant socials panel with one showing my MakerWorld statistics, fetched from a Vercel Blob since there is no official API & Cloudflare is a PITA to bypass. Next up is making some sort of script to automatically send updates to update the storage… future me problem :D
working tooltips with tippy.js!
updated tools card with dynamic variants! ✨ added my phone, laptop, 3d printer, and keyboard since they’re devices i use frequently added ‘on’ and ‘off’ variants of images that change dynamically on hover added size hover effect only got 2 hours logged but i probably spent over 4h finding and editing images in affinity haha
fixed navbar and command palette! ✨ navbar at the top of the page is now sticky! added ‘pills’ behind each link that smoothly transition to each other while hovering the navbar (my fav) navbar has a frosted glass background that appears on scroll, and disappears when at the top of the page command palette now opens with cmd + k, and closes with esc or clicking outside the window new navbar looks pretty clean if i do say so myself
added music card! fetches data from my last.fm profile through the api displays top 5 artists/albums/tracks from the past week/month/6 months/year unfortunately last.fm changed their api to not fetch artist and track images, and displays a generic star image intead :( I tried to fetch artwork from MusicBrainz with the MBID from Last.fm instead, and it worked, but it was just too slow for me to be satisfied with it. skeleton loader to prevent abrupt size shifting gradient overflow indicators and buttons for scrolling smooth staggered load-in animations with framer motion i’m almost done with the first page now, next i gotta figure out what to do with the rest of the site… if you have any cool ideas lmk 🤠
COMPLETELY overhauled projects page Added most of the models that I designed for 3D printing, each with their name, description, image, and MakerWorld link. I started laying out the screen and buttons in FreeCAD (I know the hackpad guide recommends Fusion360, but I recently switched to Linux and I don’t think it’s available on my system; it’s a pain to use anyway), using constrained sketches to set their sizes and positions. Midway through I realised I didn’t like where I’d placed the switches, so I had to go back and edit the PCB. I moved the switches higher in KiCad, bringing the buttons closer to the screen. I also had to reposition the LCD because the “F.Courtyard” layer was overlapping with one of the switches. Moving the components meant repairing the routing. I reconnected SW1–SW4, adjusted the LCD signal and power tracks, and refilled the ground zones. The updated DRC report showed no unconnected pads, with one remaining silkscreen warning that I addressed by moving the SW3 label. I then exported the updated STEP model and resumed work in FreeCAD. I also imported the Waveshare 1.8-inch LCD model and positioned it above the PCB. Using its actual geometry helped me size and align the screen opening. The case now has a 2 mm front plate, four button openings, 2 mm sidewalls, and a USB opening aligned with the XIAO’s connector. I made a separate back cover with four PCB support posts and pilot holes, then added posts to the front shell and matching clearance holes through the back cover so the two halves can be screwed together. The current CAD check found valid case solids, aligned mounting holes, and no intersections between the case and the imported electronics. The assembled enclosure is currently 71 × 106 × 22 mm. So far, I’ve set up the project folders and built the schematic in KiCad, using a Seeed XIAO RP2040, four tactile switches, and an eight-pin connector for the planned ST7735S display. I assigned the button and display signals, connected power and ground, and resolved the electrical-rule checks. I haven’t done many hardware projects before, and I figure that what I’m making doesn’t differ too much in functionality as a macropad. So I’m kinda following the hackpad guide, hence the use of the RP2040. For the PCB, I created a 65 × 100 mm outline, added four mounting holes, and positioned the components alongside reference outlines for the display and button caps. I routed the connections across both copper layers and added ground planes. After fixing unconnected switch pads and silkscreen issues, the DRC report showed zero violations, unconnected pads, or footprint errors under the enabled checks. I’ve been designing a HandiNAVI-inspired USB macropad, with a colour LCD, four buttons, and a red case with custom black button caps. It’s inspired by various screenshots I found while googling for inspo, it has been built before by other people (some functioning, some as a prop). The design that caught my eye was this 3D model. So far, I’ve set up the project folders and built the schematic in KiCad, using a Seeed XIAO RP2040, four tactile switches, and an eight-pin connector for the planned ST7735S display. I’ve exported the PCB as a STEP file and imported it into FreeCAD, which is the current stage I’m at.
I’ve been working on making the PCB layout and enclosure match the appearance I wanted for HandiNAVI. Devlogs:
am doing a website made by myself no ai just for challenge
I added new features like time using java script and was able to use new elemnts to make cool small boxes down as u can see there down…i used elemts like display flex and border size to space them and give them round edges
i added a draggable icon on the websie can open and close it but so far does nothing ..java sucks
so i didnt change anything yet i just was experimenting for some time and i didnt want to waste it ill soon bring new features to thiswebsite and make it look more geourgiuos…idk how to spell it. anyways i saw how some people actually made some crazy work for their OS website and i want to do also something decent so yeah.
kk so like i decided to redo everything….i just checked what others did and what i did is just so bad am even ashamed it looks nothing like an operating system so am definetly redoing it. this is what it looks so far. I hope things will go well and ill be able to finish this by the end of august. no fetures work for now its all either stickers or just buttons that do nothing am just trying to structure it
si i was working on the script today didnt do much change cause i also spent more time in trying to arrange he project and i added some cute effect on the project when u open buttons in the css file u see down here
so today i was able to change alot of stuff i made the clock widget but i used an image that alr had time written in it wich is why it look like that and another thing i did was to make the calender and yeah that was not that hard the hard part might be to make the apps which i still didnt do yet and am almost startng school 😭 idk if will have time to do all this .
so updates are i changed the calender and now it doesnt only show the month and the year but also the dates and looks more like a calnder most of the work was done in java script and it was actually not that hard to make just a few lines and what took the most time was to chang the colors i changed the green with purple and pink as u can see its compeltely different from bfore and kinda look much more better another thing i did was to remove the numbers drew inside the clock and yeah now all u see is the actuall time i made in java i thnk i will try to arrange the time position inside later… yeah thats all for today .
kk so i done added up a new feature here. its a files app so u can see the picture of the os but for now it just shows the pictures and documents already in the file but i will cange that later and make it a wodget also its hard tho when making it like see the files and store it in the local storage cause i actually use netify so like idk how i will manage it. i might use some c(laude) :/
today i added some icon pictues for the apps i also made the different app files i had made be interconnected with the main html file and made them into widget style am left with making the draggable and also the remove button “x” doesnt seem to work ill be on that soon too
am finally done with this project ,just checked for bugs and tested it and might say it all look good and ready for shippin
Ships:
I made a website on my own and it was actually not that hard its not the 1st time i make them but most of the time it was AI that did the most but it i also lean while using AI so i was kinda used to the Css codes and Html BUT Java will forever be the most challenging this to be honest so i did take more time on java and allow my dragable elemnets to be dragable in the 1st pace so yeah am proud that its functional and made 100% by me its not too much but am Still very proud :) IDK how to make screen record of my project so i wasnt able to film it in action but u can try it with the demo url or see how i made it in my repo...

I have been following the WarioWare mission, and so far I have the title screen, timer screen and first minigame all set up. It has been challenging working with a new program, this means I still have a lot of bugs to fix (you don’t progress in the game properly). The theme is Greys Anatomy (the best TV show ever made) only as a placeholder, I am planning on doing some art for it later.
I have been working on my existing minigames, and changing some styling. I added sublevels to the first minigame, proper level design still to come (they are too easy currently). I hope to add changeable background music, a pause game feature, and a third trivia minigame (I have given up on my dreams of doing pixel art, stock images will have to do).
I have now added a pause menu! This took a lot of debugging, but I think I’m learning a lot about Godot as I go. I also consolidated the code for all the minigame 1 levels into one, hopefully this makes it easier to edit. Plans now include working on minigame 2 as a bit of a mental break, and then trying to add the background music (I’m also considering adding a timer that runs throughout all the levels for a total time, might be too hard?).
I have finished setting up my third (and probably final) minigame. This one was a trivia game, I debated having the user press a key to answer but thought it best to just go with buttons. This might mean its too similar to my second minigame, but I’ll see if it grows on me. I think next I’ll work on the win and lose screens, then it will finally be time for me to attempt music! If I have enough time, I also am thinking about adding some animation, and looking for a custom font for better aesthetics.
The time has finally arrived- my game has background music! I finally gave in an watched a tutorial video which helped a lot. Adding music was part of developing the settings menu, which is complete until I think of more cool things to add. You can turn the music on and off, change the volume, and pick what song is playing. If anyone knows the deal with licensing and copyright I’d love to know, I picked real songs they play in the show but maybe that’s illegal?? I also added an animation to the hearts, it looks kind of bad but in a fun way I think. Next steps are debugging the pause menu, and fixing the win/lose screens....

Hi, I am Ishan and for a foundation i build My personal site. I update whenever i improve. So please rate my design out of 10.
I did Glassmorphism on the header part, Linear gradient muddy animation through keyframes and also improve the colour combination of the website compared to the previous I made. I also add the typing effect to look more nice
With help of ai i diagnosed my website and fix the color grading and also tracking progress animation with css , and Re create the layout of my website compared to previous UI but I failed to start recording it to lapse so my 8 hrs does not shown here hu….
I added 3 more new section to my personal site
Polishing into new upgradation and more functionable and odd. Removed all the AI Assistance.

Apparently i used too much ai in my styling so i removed the parts of css that were ai generated. The rest are human typed, with what i learnt from making my own website and the guide
Removed all ai code and rewrote some of the css
Made a loading screen with 4 different types of animations, these animations are chosen randomly when page is loaded, or u can choose which animation by appending ?loader=spin/bounce/pulse/wobble to the end of the url

Anyways, after I’m done with this project I should have a great total of 30 hours done, earning my Stardust Certificate, which is cool, sadly I will probably get no Stardust from this mission, since they only get 5 Stardust per hour on construction, not design… still, it was fun.
I’m done!...

Devlogs:
I added smooth (phong) shading to my OBJ viewer, and prepared the code for texture mapping.
This update might be a little boring, but I genuinely spent hours debugging a problem with the normals that occured on high-poly models. It added random empty spots in the model and it was genuinely so satisfying to fix it. All that was happening was that it was dividing by zero and returning NaN; I just added a check to avoid NaN.
Texture mapping has been implemented into the renderer but not the parser. My next step is to add textures to the parser so that the user can load the textures automatically instead of manually writing the filepath. I have already set up the structs for MTL support, including a hashmap to allow for string-indexing.
I added texture and material loading support. It uses SDL_image to load the textures and supports relative paths. It supports MTL files. I think I’m going to ship this project soon.
I just fixed some bugs. Those bugs include three buffer overflows (💀), a goto initialization error, and file loading not working with Windows paths on other OS’s.
I’ve just fixed some more bugs, including: leading spaces not working, UV coordinates being upside down, indicator text not showing, and the specular exponent being the wrong default value. The proper UV coordinates now make some of the free models I downloaded actually work. The rasterizer is now super cool.
I added basic near clipping for polygons with two vertices behind the plane (I will eventually add clipping for polygons with one vertex behind the plane). This actually took forever to figure out. I nearly gave up twice. The attached image puts the clipping plane at 0.5 so you can see what I am talking about, but in reality the clipping distance will be a really low number like 0.01.
I finished adding near clipping. I spent a ton of time figuring out why the UV coordinates were messed up, but I ended up fixing that. Now, you can go extremely close up to the model without any unseen polygons.
My last touch was reversing the Z-direction because OBJ files use a right-handed coordinate system. Now I think I’m ready to ship this project.
I spent a lot of time improving the CMake packaging. Now, I can just run one command and it will build and package the project (with correct linking) for MacOS and Linux. I don’t have access to a Windows machine at the moment, so I haven’t added support for that yet.
Changes:I fixed a parsing error with materials with the map_d attribute. I also added support for tiling UVs, so the well-known Sponza model works properly.
Ships:
I made a .OBJ File Viewer that uses only the CPU (no OpenGL a.k.a software rasterization). It has its own (albeit not very good) parser for .OBJ and .MTL files. It supports texture mappingl, near clipping, Phong illumination, smooth shading, and screenshots. All the user has to do is drag a .OBJ file into the window and it will open it. I have no idea how to fix this error. I have tried not initializing sync objects, changing the order in which functions are initialized. Maybe its not working because of an empty field somewhere…
I finally got it to run and render more than one frame before crashing. Now I just need to figure out how to get it to render an actual image. Probably just messed up a section of the code.
It finally runs with no real errors this time and produces expected behavior. Next I want to figure out how to change the brightness with a key input.
I replaced my code for allocating buffer memory using vk-mem-rs. Still trying to track down the memory leak. Now I need to fix the rendering issues as something happened when switching the buffer systems out causing the brightness to significantly decrease and rendering to be locationally based on the cursor for some reason, and also now it would require a seizure warning for any video/gif which is suboptimal. Only during closing the application does brightness return to expected ranges as seen in photo below.
Well I finally managed to fix the memory leak somehow, currently it only supports a single model however my next goal is to add support for different models. Currently it can change the number of models displayed on screen at once along with the brightness of each model.
Finally manage to get rotation properly implemented and bound to various keys. Still need to change the movement system so that the camera axis rotates with the camera instead of being fixed to the same rotational state of the world.
Finally got the movement system for the camera all smoothed out. Now it moves relative to the direction of the camera instead of along the world grid. Also smoothed out the motion.
Very last devlog, just added some finishing touches, tried to get LOD’s working but they still appear too close to the camera. Yeah that’s really it, have a good rest of the year :3
Ships:
I made a basic game engine in Rust and Vulkan, doesn’t do much other than render an object ten times in a row. It does have movement support about the camera along with rotation of the camera allowing you to move around the scene. It was of course very challenging to get to this point and I had to reference a variety of like wiki’s and documents because none of it was very clearly explained in one place, and Vulkan is a low profile API where you need to code eveything. Anyways I had a lot of fun writing it, learned a lot about how it works this time as well....

Devlog 0 I’ve just started work on my entry for the warioware mission since I’ve used godot before and have always enjoyed quickfire arcade-like games. I have no clue what I was talking about saying I was working on foundations, because I look around and all I see is garbage. Its been a while since I’ve worked on this, but I am really baffled by what I was trying to do in the code. At least I have art for placeholder stuff, and got to actually work on the ‘game loop’. Sometimes I am genuinely concerned with what I am even attempting to make, but maybe when it all comes together the absurd plot will at least be at home with the rest of the absurdity in the game.
Cleaned up some of the minigames and made a fitting Readme for the github before shipping
I added tips just before the start of the game to make it more clear what the objective of that particular level is. To make use of the assets I made a third minigame. I also added a system to basically cache all the particles at the start, since it takes a good second for it to load on the first run, especially on web. I think I’ll properly implement the lives system once more games are added.
Added some more things to the readme to prep it for launch
Wow I remembered this project exists! worked on actually making lives, and added a new minigame to connect pcb traces
Small things that add a lot The game doesn’t end! Once all the minigames are completed, you can continue but the time gets faster over time (up to a certain point so its not completely impossible). I haven’t gotten past 12, so I haven’t quite seen the max speed for long, so maybe it is not humanely possible at that max I also procedurally made sounds so the game feels just a little more lively
I thought making something somewhat smooth with curves would be a little hard, but its really easy to slap on a lerp and everything works decently
Added a new minigame here you must accurately sort the objects to train the always watching AI. But you cannot get it wrong

That was a mildly questionable. SO i made shortcuts for tabs, panes, zooming, focusing the panes, search, copy, paste, opening the system monitor, blah blah and I was reaching the point where I MADE THE TERMINAL AND EVEN I COULDN’T REMEMBER HOW TO USE IT. So instead of having all those actions just scattered around the keyboard handling code part, so I made a command system So things like NewTab, CloseTab, SplitVertical, SplitHorizontal, and much more are now commands The keyboard shortcuts just execute those commands now instead of each shortcut having its own completely separate logic. whichhhhh also meant I could use those exact same commands from other places… SHORTCUT MENU I did the thing yep! i made the menu There is a shortcuts overlay now that shows the shortcuts for tabs, panes, navigation and other terminal commands. So I no longer need to remember ANYTHING to summon the features. very useful considering this project now has TOOOO MANY CONTROLS COMMAND PALETTE There is also a searchable command palette now. So when you open it and start typing it, it would filter out the available aster commands. Then you can select any one command you like and execute it just by clicking enter ASTER HAS : COMMANDS ok my absolute favourite feature. If you just type : in a fresh terminal input, Aster would intercept and open its OWN COMMAND LINE AHGHHHH. I can now do things like :themes , :monitor, :shortcuts and these are SPECIFICALLY aster command, not for powershell BTW IT ALSO HAS AUTOCOMPLETE when you click tab after you typed some of your commands out. A BUNCH MORE THEMES I have been planning this for too long and NOW THEY EXIST Now Aster has themes like: stardance, nebula, sunshine, mono and you can change them in the shortcuts command line. NEXTTTT Aster is much much closer to where I wanted it to be. I only want some more patches here and there for this iteration of this project FOR THE FINAL STRETCH: Polish the Monitor Make the process killing a bit more safer Polish the theme and command UI Hunt down bugs and make everything feel finished AND THENNNNN ASTER IS DONE (for now)"}, {"post_id": 74299, "ts": "2026-09-27T04:33:19Z", "hours": 9.6747, "text": "Devlog-5 soooooo last devlog, I said I wanted to add some uniquely dedicated panes, something specific like something that could monitor RAM and memory while I was working. … I may have gotten a little too further in that… like a 10 hours too further SO ALL PANES WONT JUST BE TERMINALS Originally every pane in Aster was fundamentally a terminal. That did work just fine, but I wanted something more cause i like torturing myself… and I refactored the pane’s architecture. Instead of a pane directly holding a terminal, panes can now be different types using a rust enum called PaneKind So, a pane is just like a container and anything in it can be different and it took a longggg longggg time to change all the code for this, but i can add SOOO many more stuff cause of this (i will tease them in the coming up section) System Monitor and then i just accidentally made my first specific pane Ctrl+Shift+M now splits the current pane and opens up a super live System Monitor and it displays CPU usage, Memory usage, Disk usage, Network activity, System uptime, Running processes. im going to come back to put in the description in full detail
I will write the specificities a bit later, but! i added scroll up and down, keyboard shortcuts like arrow_up, arrow_down. arrow_right and arrow_left to edit text and ofc backspace and stuff like that. Then I worked on having multiple terminal windows and added shortcuts like ctrl+shift+t for a new tab, ctrl+tab to alternate between tabs, and ctrl+shift+tab to delete tabs. Devlog-4! So last time, we were done with vertical panes, being able to have multiple tabs and plenty of shortcut keys to move through the tabs, cursor and panes much quicker. I also want to add a lot more themes, and just make the core template aesthetically pleasing while retaining its bare personality. (and fix the bugs… i have too much of them.
Devlog-5 soooooo last devlog, I said I wanted to add some uniquely dedicated panes, something specific like something that could monitor RAM and memory while I was working. Both the CPU and memory have cute little bars. (they use sysinfo to update btw) Process List & Process Inspector and Terminator You can select a process and pressing I or Enter to open up a specific process inspector and it shows the process specific stuff like specific things like name, pid, cpu usage and memory usage. and esc or q can get u out of the specific process. Next, i want a shortcuts command to show all the shortcuts cause i myself am starting to forget everything. AI Agent monitor so you can see what your agents are doing meanwhile u work. AND yes i need to make the themes… and fix the bugs…
Devlog-6 in the last devlog I ended by saying “Next I want a shortcuts command to show all the shortcuts cause I am STARTING TO FORGET EVERYTHING” …yeahhhh, i made that and an entire command system Aster has COMMANDSSSSS Before this, every action was linked to a keyboard shortcut. I only want some more patches here and there for this iteration of this project FOR THE FINAL STRETCH: Polish the Monitor Make the process killing a bit more safer Polish the theme and command UI Hunt down bugs and make everything feel finished AND THENNNNN ASTER IS DONE (for now)...
