I added an new enemy type, i call it the heavy(wow so original) it is an slow robot that is packed with an big automatic gun and it is ready to shoot, the robot is big so its easier to hit but it also has alot more HP than Gary or an standard robot. I added an vision changer so now you can use your scroll wheel to zoom out or in to either see farther ahead and plan out your attack OR to admire Gary
Big game update! New levels I have updated level 2 and added test versions of levels 3 and 4. Level 2 You will have the first encounters with the robots, and after eliminating them (either deactivating or just shooting) you will find the first humans and free them, you will find out they are your neighbors and you will want to go to the (un named)robot company’s headquarters to find out more stuff. Level 3 You will be at the supposed “headquarters” only to find out that the robots have moved the headquarters to another location, but you don’t know where, in level 3 you will encounter an high-damage unit, it is an different color robot and it sure packs an punch, in other words IT WILL ONE SHOT YOU! But it has an small downside, its reaction time isn’t that good, and the weapon isn’t automatic so it will take an bit to reload the next bullet. Level 4 Level 4 is definetly my favorite, because of its variety in enemies! Level 4 has alot of different enemies like: Default, high damage, heavy and an new one! The light unit, the light unit has some serious reaction time, and it has high fire rate making it THE MOST DANGEROUS UNIT (yet :D) The robot is bright red to indicate the danger. New stuff I have added an new weapon, THE RIFLE! It has high damage and also good fire rate but it comes with an tradeoff, the recoil is pretty big, but once you master this weapon you will be unstoppable! (until i add new dangerous robots that is)...

Devlog 1 ###For the new page tab here are my ideas i want to improve me Competitive Programing skill so my new tab page will revolve around that theme i will create some web shortcuts and a reading list thing theme customization is there, but i dont know i will try to provide as much as customizability i can Current Status have created a simple search bar the search bar can be focused by pressing “/” it also has options for three different search engines
Devlog 2 so i started with goal to display info cards of my coding profiles from different platform, but turns out that i cant codechef has deprecated their public api, leetcode graphql api can only be accesed from server, so was only able to display my codeforces and github stats after this i added a toto list card, initially it was a card but later i made it like aa sidebar app insted for better UX i also worked on settings to customize the design , some thing i have completed like selecting which cards to display, theme, and bg, but there is still imporvement like more option for images, gradient and colour also more then just dark and light theme, maybe a comic theme and termical theme created a component for displaying time, date and weather, weather thing is yer to be completed
Devlog 3 this time i fixed the weather card, now it shows the correct weather based on your location, and also shows the correct time and date. i also made UI improvements and now the todo list is on the left side of the screen, almost 100% long added text shadow to text, so that its visible on any image as a background
Devlog 4 wrote some of css again, removed the AI snippets that I had used fixed some bugs like, error on refetching data when handle is chagned showed more info in cards thorugh codeforces and github apis (commits and next rank requirement in codeforces) the image in the bg was not loading on the first opening of the website, fixed that too
Devlog Last time reject due to my project being ai heavy, idk, the ui was generated with google stitch and then i coded it out, i just removed the css and redesign the website completely i took the inspiraation my from my old project, idk i made it like 3-4 years ago, link below https://ashish757.github.io/some-frontend-stuff/guess-the-number/index.html

The fix was sharing my laptop’s connection over a LAN cable (Windows ICS), ping-sweeping 192.168.137.x until something answered, then SSH-ing in. It now runs 4 services in Docker: a Homepage dashboard, Gitea (mirroring my GitHub repos), FileBrowser Quantum, and Uptime Kuma. It also does encrypted daily restic backups to my laptop, and I actually test-restored them (72/72 files identical, SQLite integrity checks OK). The interesting part was everything that went wrong: The box was pulling packages from Armbian’s nightly repo, and upgrades rewrite /boot. No HDMI means a bad boot = full reflash, so I froze the kernel, bootloader and initramfs, and checksum /boot before and after every upgrade. The SD slot kept failing flush commands. I spent ~3 hours testing the card with H2testw: the card was perfect, the slot wasn’t. The card now lives in a USB reader. Docker 29 stores images in containerd, not data-root. “Moving Docker to the SD card” would have silently filled the eMMC anyway. Filebrowser got archived mid-project (no more security patches), so I swapped to FileBrowser Quantum. My phone hotspot returns NAT64 addresses, which made Gitea refuse to mirror from GitHub. restic over SFTP to Windows broke because of an open Win32-OpenSSH chroot bug (#2263). Today I worked on getting Surge AI into a more usable state and continued developing the main application. The main focus was on the AI interaction system and the application interface. Next, I want to continue improving the interface, make the response handling more reliable, and add more features to make Surge AI feel like a complete application rather than just a basic AI chat interface.
For the past few weeks, I’ve been working on my own AI app, Surge AI. I initially started working on Surge a few weeks ago, however, as I worked on the app more, I found myself making various tweaks and changes to the app’s overall design. As such, most of my recent activity for Surge has revolved around tweaking and perfecting various parts of the app as opposed to simply adding new features. While seemingly minor, little additions and tweaks to an application can make a massive difference when it comes to the overall feel of the application. I’m sure I’ll continue to work on Surge AI, adding features and tweaking the app’s feel for the future.
Been working on Surge again! This update has mostly been about voice, UI improvements, and the new accounts system.Testing different voice models to make responses sound more natural.Cleaning up the UI — fixing spacing, scrolling, animations and a bunch of small things. And finally, I’ve started working on accounts + cloud sync, so users can optionally back up and sync their Surge data across devices. Still a lot to test and fix, but it’s coming together.
Surge AI - Voice Model Devlog Most of my time lately has been spent on developing the voice feature in Surge AI.The previous implementation of voice in the app was rather slow and quite unnatural-sounding at times, so I’ve been experimenting with other models and trying to improve the experience as a whole rather than merely swapping the voice. There’s still some tuning required, but I can already tell that the answers sound a lot better now. It’s this kind of feature that seems like a straightforward thing to implement until you actually try doing that.
Surge AI — UI DevlogI’ve been spending some time fine-tuning the overall UI of Surge AI.Nothing major was redesigned this time. Most of the work was on the small things — spacing, animations, scrolling, button placement, navigation and making different screens feel more consistent.I’ve also been cleaning up a few things that looked fine while developing but felt slightly off when actually using the app. It’s mostly small changes, but together they make Surge feel a lot more polished.Still fine-tuning and testing before moving on to the next update....

Today i designed the CAD file for the robot. I tried freecad first but it was too hard to use so i did the whole design on tinkercad and now i will try to turn the file into a .step file for posting
i did the 3d modeling of the impeller and the impeller bracket for a 720 type coreless motor
edited the BOM files, reuploaded, got the total amount and tried some 3d design AGAİN (FAİLED)
I FINALLY DESIGNED THE BODY The body of the Micromouse is FINALLY done. i cant wait to get my hands on the parts to make my custom design sensor and the robot itself!!!!
Designed Half of the Custom IR sensor board today-it was hard since theres so many components and less space, but i think i will complete it in 3 days! ( it uses a stm32 blackpill board and some op-amps for strenghtening the signal)
I finally completed the kicad design of the custom IR sensor today- after learning so many things such as pcb designing, 3d cad designing and using github for this project, i finally completed the kicad design of the sensor board- ITS FINALLY DONE
Devlog #8- Schematics Design For the Custom IR Sensor- Today i tried kicad schematics for the first time- it was actually a basic and an easy to use software. i drew the schematic of 1 channel of the sensor board(and theres 6 of those, so 3 op-amps, 6 IR leds, 6 Photodiodes, 12 resistors(i think) 6 potentiometers, 6 mosfets and some power source boards such as a mini 360 and stm32. it uses 40khz signals to eliminate room light. thanks for reading!)
Today I polished the pcb design a little Bit- Devlog #9 this time i polished it a bit(i know theres still some mistakes, im a newbie on the pcb world) tomorrow i will upload the better polished version on the github and try to make this a little bit smaller maybe? we will see tomorrow
Today I Designed the circuit from scratch and made A V2- Devlog #10- The Custom Sensor Board the second picture shows the better and smaller version. i will later add some connection ports for I2C , encoders, pwm and other things. theres still some time, so i will update the BOM file again and use this pcb but also code some to show how it will work so it will get accepted once i ship it again. 26.09.2026-01:50
today i added the schematic file and finished it- i think its missing something but that okay i guess :/...

Finished the 3D model. It was bit of a strugle, because the tutorial is for fusion and my pc cant run it so i had to use onshape (wich is great too btw) Tommorow programing😬...

Finally on the 3d designing for the macropad, first time to use fusion
I’ve almost finished the 3d part (I have to colour it and add the usbc port slot). After this I’ll have to write the firmware
I’ve continued the 3d part, now I have to figure out how to edit the pcb for the LEDs and to understand how much larger than the usbc port the port on the case is going to be.
Still on 3d part, but MAYBE now I can start to think how to connect the LEDs to the pcb
Finally I can say that I ve finished the 3d part, the pcb is okay (I’ve added the ReverseMount LEDs and wired them up). I ve decided that I’ll solder the case’s LED directly on the XIAO board so now I just have to do te firmware....

Devlogs:
I created the PCB for my HackPad. It was my first time using KiCAD so I tried my best and here is what I came up with.
Initial progress of creating my pcb a case. I started off by importing all the 3d files of components which were lacking them in KiCAD and creating a basic plate.
Created a basic design for my hackpad after importing the components and pcb into shapr3d to create a basic visualisation. Now I can go on to refine the look and create a better looking case better suited to my vision with functionality.
Just finished iterating what is hopefully the final version of my hack pad design in shapr3d!!
My older case design and pcb did not fit the design specifications therefore i had to alter my design. I could have simply adjusted the older case to fit the required dimensions but after attempting to do so i found quite a few issues such as hangovers with the 3d model which would make it harder to 3d print. So instead i designed a more minimalistic model which incorporates a vornoi style on the front and sides. To make it easier to print I could split the model into parts in Bambu studio when i eventually print the model myself.
Organised all my saved files in my GitHub repo so that the product is ready for submission.
FINALLY! The parts took ages to arrives but anyways I got started on assembling the hack pad immediately and managed to finish it.

Devlogs:
Made the high level design (block diagram) of Nexus 55 which is my version of google or alexa smart home system but local
Setup Home Assistant
Finally got to the home assistant main menu
Made a quick mock up of the circuit in wokwi, dont worry mess will be sorted later
programmed some stuff, didnt do a lot cuz i got a big ahh exam tmrw
SOLDERED SOME STUFF
Made a curtian opener and closer thingy, the big metal thing is a motor ink assembly thingy i pulled from an old hp printer and i used relays instead of a l298n or tbh any motor driver bc … i only have the l298n and it is very inneficeint
coded blynk then decided to not use it bc of its limitations
Soldered on some male headers for the rgb led board
cut and epoxied a peice of wood so i can install a relay for AC connections
installed a relay for ac stuff on another wooden block
today was kinda boring, i just got esp rainmaker working, it took 1 hour because the esp32 storage and cache stuff, i had to create my own partition scheme and stuff to get the code to fit on the esp32
messed around with esp rain maker even more, prob will not use it and just continue with arduino iot cloud or smthgn (image not related and not mine, jst a meme )
tried arduino cloud iot, it sucks, so i will prob just make my own esp32 hosted webpage for the controls
cut some wood and added brackets to mount to the wall
made it workkkk
wired up the signal side of the relay #3
Installed node-red and mqtt broker
heatshrinked some wires, didnt have time for anyhthing else lol
Made an interface, with a lot of help from ai, will rebuild this from scratch tomorrow, just made this using ai as a test, and the ui runs completely on ur pc as an html, it works although it is buggy and the sliders do do their jobs properly that much
heatshrinking !
Replaced the relays for motor control with an L298N and made the entire thing run on 12v instead of 5v, sounds a bit more less feasable but it is actually more feasable because if ur using 5v usb , u need a power brick with good ampere ratings, 12v u just need a normal 12v barrel jack thingy...

soo i am working on a servo tester it is basically a device that can control servo motors and acts as a way to check if a servo motor works or not(as the name suggests) I have only made the raw pcb it still needs work to be done soo i am gonna work on it
Okayyyy soo devlog #2 last time I did a small amount of PCB and I didnt do traces back then atleast not all of it Today when I did that then I realised that Its a bit difficult to connect the SCL and SDA to the analog pins of arduino. So what I did is I added two copper pads or holes whatever it is called and I made it like a bridge When I will solder it I can use a wire to jump the connection. Devlog #3 : I am gonna have a crashout now I finished the PCB and now I need to make the enclosure for the pcb and its killing me. I have never really made an enclosure for anything I used to do the simple cad and now when I did make an enclosure I am just getting overwhelmed…… Well I did figure out something and my PCB is now assembled. I literally spend hours on getting the CAD model right ToT
Devlog #4 I redid the PCB it was hell The last time I did the PCB it didnt go well when making the case because the potentiometer didnt fit into it. Now I am redoing the PCB and I made it a bit bigger, if i am right Also I changed the positioning of display and arduino and almost everything. The worst part wwas getting things right in this model each time I cant find a good model I did find a nano model but it was x3d and kicad doesnt support it……. Also i made the PCB purple I really like this colour
Devlog #5 I did the CAD and the potentiometer FINALLY FITS PROPERLY I am kinda proud of how the CAD model turned out and I really like the look however I am not sure if the fitting and everything will work or not cuz its my first time having something 3d printed soo we will see However the model is really bland soo I will add some decorations to this project which means there will be one more devlog for CAD which is not what I was expecting but meh, here goes nothing
Devlog #6 Soooo my dumahh didnt think of the fact that the signal will not move until the ground are common Which is exactly the issue in my previous pcb and i have literally redid my pcb 2 times… well i made it such that u have a different power source for running servo and it is to be connected on top at the bottom right there are 3 pair of 3 pins which are connected to the servo and then it works i hope i dont run into something anymore………
Devlog #7 Since I had to redo the PCB I also had to redo the enclosure At first I tried to make changes to the one I had made this but it didnt go well and I decided to make the top section again.Since the left portion of the lid will be removed completely I think I will add a way to join the bottom and middle section in there since I also had to remove one of the snap fit thingies which could decrease the fit strength. Devlog #9 I wrote the code and even tho the concept were really simple for some reason I cant process any information going in my mind But in the end I did it Its not finished but I kinda have a concept ready I will explain more in the next devlog
Devlog #10 Say Hi to this guy, he has eyes I finally finished the program for arduino and I am gonna finish it up and then we might be good to go, I am gonna ship this project soon. Spent a bit of time making a little favicon on Figma, sadly my time wasnt logged ;-;
Added a font and turned the page into a little window!
Okay, so I gave it a wallpaper (hey this looks familiar…), and I made the top bar from the tutorial, but in TRANSLUCENT RED!!! I broke my brain trying to get the time to work, and then I found out it was stupidly simple and I plugged in the variables wrong (I thought I was supposed to put another script tag where the time and date is printed 😭)

I have added display UI for modes 0 to 5 , the UI for this modes is almost fully functional and reacting to touch, icluding colorPicker UI starting, numeric keyboard starting, boolean parameters change 2. I have encounered some RAM problems since my ESP uses RAM heavy display graphics and WiFi and NeoPixel animations, that is why I moved the NeoPixel mode functions and NeoPixel modes support functions into a separate module and now it works so much better. I also had tio optimise the ColorPicker UI creating function since it creates a huge buffer. I hope it will work OK now, so I can continue developing UI for other modes. -I have written a validation functions for numeric keyboard so that it will only accept valid parameter value. Future plans: -I am going to continue adding UI for the other modes. -I need to make a function to run and stop the modes using thread. - i am planning to add a speaker so that it can function as an alarm clock. -I am planning to add a PIR sensor so tht it can turn off when you leave the room."}, {"post_id": 62390, "ts": "2026-09-05T18:43:12Z", "hours": 2.6175, "text": "SMART LED strip (NeoPixel) Devlog#4 —————————————————————––I haven’t worked on this project for a long time but I am back. I have done some small work since I started again. I decided that I would be nicer to have something physical to controll brightness, so I added a brightness potentiometer , that meant some small hardware changes, but a lot of software changes. I had to make small changes in every mode, and now it is finished. I also faced some changellenges beause I had to make sure that the physical brightness controll will not interfere with the future WiFi controll. So I designed it so that if the brightness is set throught WiFi it will ignore the potentiometer value, unless you move the potentiometer and then it switches back to potentiometer control. Next I will move on to design the UI for the display."}, {"post_id": 27376, "ts": "2026-07-12T21:49:06Z", "hours": 5.46, "text": "SMART LED strip (NeoPixel) Devlog#3 NeoPixel modes update: I managed to finish the remaining 3 modes, random mode a.k.a. stars, and two soundbar modes. (Videos are included in the devlog). I am having some problems with the noise sensor because it seems to not be reacting to normal music, only to extreme loud noises like blowing into the microphone. Also the value in quiet changes every day so I added the calibration function. WiFi: I also managed to finish part of the code that connect the ESP32 to the wifi network. I also added a code that synchronizes time. This was quite hard because I used a NTP server which return UTC time. And my country is UTC+1 and we have daylight saving time. But, after about an 1.5 hour I finally managed to find a public API that returns the UTC offset based on the location that it figured out using your IP adress. And it works! (It took me such a long time because the APIs a have tried before requied HTTPS and my ESP32 didn’t have enougth RAM to manage it) More detailed project description: I have written 2 devlogs so far but I think I haven’t described my system enough. So, basically I am building a led strip for my room that will be controled by a display witch touscreen and a simple local web server. (if I don’t run out of RAM on my ESP32). It will have 12 modes and the parameters will be changable via the touchscreen and the web server. I am also planning to integrate a PIR sensor so that it can turn off the strip when I am not in the room (some parameters will be also changable here) and i will add a buzzer because I want it to serve as an alarm clock too. (I hope that light combined with sound will wake me up more easily :) ). System achitecture: I will run the neopixel mode functions on the core #2, because I want to make sure that the neopixel animations will run smoothly. I have written functions to display the color picker UI, numeric keyboard and mode picker, as well as the functions that process thouch during these modes. I am planning to write on big function in which I will process the mode setting UI touch events, and a function that will display the mode setting UI. Each time someone touches the diplay it triggers an IRQ which sets a flag, after that the touch is assigned to a touch handling function in the main loop. I will probably use another IRQ for the On/Off button and one for the PIR sensor. I will also write a function to start and stop running modes on core #2. Also an alarms function. I have also been solving some problems with HackaTime. (I have worked for at least 5 hrs not 15 mins) Because it does not support Thonny, so I decided to write the code in VS code and then run it on my ESP32 using Thonny.
Smart LED (NeoPixel) strip Devlog#2 Work done: Today I have been working on the mode functions. I have managed to write 9 of them today, which means there are 3 left for tommorow. I think I will be dreaming about for loops tonight after this. I have also fixed my HSV to RGB function because I found out that the fictional HSV color wheel was mirrored. Future plans: Tommorow I am planning to finish the mode functions, hook up an PIR sensor to the ESP32, so that the NeoPixel strip can turn off automatically when there is nobody in the room, and also write code that will process the noise level sensor raw values, so that they can be used in the soundbar mode. I also want to start designing the display UI that will allow me to change the mode parameters, because I have only finished the numeric input, color input and mode picker so far.
SMART LED strip (NeoPixel) Devlog#3 NeoPixel modes update: I managed to finish the remaining 3 modes, random mode a.k.a. stars, and two soundbar modes. The web server will run in the main loop and the requests will be handled by a function that the mainloop will call. Basically the main loop will can funtions and the functions will do something or call other functions. And IRQs will set flags to the main loop.
SMART LED strip (NeoPixel) Devlog#4 —————————————————————––I haven’t worked on this project for a long time but I am back. Next I will move on to design the UI for the display.
SMART LED strip devlog#5 Hi guys I am back after a longer time again, unfortunately I will not manage to ship this project in time so I will at least post my progress here. :) What have I done: 1. -I am planning to add a PIR sensor so tht it can turn off when you leave the room....

It uses light waves to measure changes in mirror distance in the order of nanometers, acting as a super-precise ruler. What’s that? A Michaelson Interferometer splits light through a beamsplitter, then recombines it at the same place to produce interference fringes. As one mirror moves, the phase shift in the recombined light moves too, so these patterns also shift around, increasing in number, and decreasing in size about the center. The photodiode system detects these changes in light intensity, and a relation between wavelength, distance change and number of signal peaks in the photodiode can be established. How did I build mine? I used 3D printing in PETG to build solid, adjustable and modular mounts. I used a rated 650nm adjustable laser light and λ/10 flatness mirrors to reduce external causes of error as much as I could. I designed a sliding rail system coupled with a micrometer for one mirror, allowing for precise wavelength measurement (‘fixed’ mirror in the magnetostriction test). I designed a solenoid system paired with a nickel rod within it which holds the other mirror, allowing magnetostriction measurement (‘fixed’ mirror when measuring laser wavelength) These features allowed me to detect signal changes from a nickel rod’s size as the current in a solenoid wrapped around it increased from 0A-10A, with most if not all external causes being ruled out. So what else could it do? Configuring the photodiode more optimally and using a higher current power supply, magnetostrictive saturation should be possible to calculate, not only for a nickel rod, but for any other metal. Thermal expansion, which causes much greater displacement than its magnetic counterpart, should also be possible to calculate for any metal using this device with no other changes to the system.", "repo": "https://github.com/rsourcer/Project-Helios", "demo": ""}]...

It now outputs signal value ranging from 97-350, and filtering out almost all noise. This required re-programming the way in which output signal is detected, as heavy 120Hz noise was present, and rewiring until the best result (so far) was acheived. This allowed me to complete the project’s main goal: magnetostriction effects observed in a nickel rod! This is despite amplification still not being fully maximized. (theo. max: 1023) To test this, I wrapped a 25ft copper wire around the solenoid cover and connected it to a DC power supply. As current is turned up, the photodiode signal has been decreasing repeatly. (See photo - output decreases by ~1-2) In the pulse test, it is also shown to decrease instantaneously, and when the photodiode is covered, no parasitic effects from the current are present, leading me to believe that the observed effect was truly caused by fringe shift due to magnetic shrinkage caused by the solenoid. For this reason, this may very well be my last devlog! There is still room for improvement in fine-tuning the amplification system, but the full functionality of every component has been demonstrated. It however doesn’t mean I’m done with the project at all after shipping - I can try out rods with different metals and higher currents with amplified signal to get and compare ‘true’ quantitative data in the future! Check out README.md for more details!"}, {"post_id": 70900, "ts": "2026-09-19T23:58:45Z", "hours": 6.7633, "text": "✧˚⋆ DEVLOG 6: The last three weeks of my project have been subject to great stagnation - However, I now have been able to photograph fringes! (See photo 2). Unfortunately, they appear to be a mix of Michaelson fringes and lens (Newton) interference (remain when one mirror is blocked) - the latter kind is useless to measure wavelengths, so we now only want stronger Michaelson fringes, which appear more as bands or arcs of light. (noticeable now yet currently hard to image) To come to this, I’ve had to reprint the LMB and LDM to allow translation (and some rotational) alignment with screws, reworked the mirror mounting system screws (removing bolts) and reprinted the solenoid cover from Devlog 5. This has allowed my alignment to be much more precisely adjustable - it has also made it more tedious to align. To this effect, I added ruler and protractor markings for the MMM, LDM and LMB to serve as alignment guides, and since, I’ve added guides to the MMM to make sure the mirror follows more linear guides. These changes insure that I can now very finely adjust angles and mirror distances prop. to beam splitter to be equal - which is what we need! For acronyms list, and further info on how the alignment process is done, check out the project GitHub! :)"}, {"post_id": 59278, "ts": "2026-08-31T23:53:04Z", "hours": 4.2981, "text": "✧˚⋆ DEVLOG 5: Beamsplitter is here! I’ve finally started proper alignment testing by putting together the optical components into their respective mounts. However, no interferometry yet - the BSM had to be reprinted to fit the beamsplitter, and my SMB mirror mount was 4mm too low, which made me reprint a slightly taller solenoid cover.. Every time I had to print the solenoid cover, severe noodling would happen in at least one section of this component. After 4 iterations, i decided to use the least damaged one, and now, my lasers at least somewhat align to the mirrors! I’ve now made additional supports for the laser and lens allowing for slight translation to make precise alignment a much easier task. Attached in the image below is the mounting system in the interferometer’s calibration phase. The assembly process took a disgusting amount of time, as most parts had to be re-iterated upon, either due to screw alignment, screw dimensions or linkage strength. Tolerances were a recurring issue with the components — I had to drill the mirror mounting systems in the MMM and SMB (new acronyms to be found on my GitHub btw!) which served as a wake up call on wearing proper safety equipment, multiple times.. my screen protector is still irreparably cracked from the PETG-CF shards, and my hand felt much of the same to say the least lol. Oh, and no more DVD drive laser components - I have switched to a proper (Class II) laser to conduct my experiments. However, things are looking up, and the build quality is now solid! I had to find a way to encorporate the advantage of the screw-plate mounting system and free suspended motion, and my design eventually (…) was able to accomplish this using a counterbalance! Then, while messing around with the Uno R3 kit, I also managed to get the laser diode, which I disassembled from my old laptop’s DVD drive, to be functional! Then, while messing around with the Uno R3 kit, I also managed to get the laser diode, which I disassembled from my old laptop’s DVD drive, to be functional! It’s not collimated by its lens anymore, but it’s a step in the right direction. I’m sure i’ll be able to find a workaround someway, right? right? :’)
✧˚⋆ DEVLOG 4: I’ve finally been able to complete, print and assemble all CAD mounts! I am waiting on the final component to arrive (beamsplitter) before assembling the final system. same time next week? :)
✧˚⋆ DEVLOG 5: Beamsplitter is here! For more info and acronym list, check out the README on GitHub :)
✧˚⋆ DEVLOG 6: The last three weeks of my project have been subject to great stagnation - However, I now have been able to photograph fringes! :)
✧˚⋆ DEVLOG 7: I have finally succeeded in setting up the photodiode system! Check out README.md for more details!
Ships:
I made a Michaelson Interferometer capable of detecting magnetostriction in a nickel rod! Thermal expansion, which causes much greater displacement than its magnetic counterpart, should also be possible to calculate for any metal using this device with no other changes to the system....

PDB , Chassis & Flaring
New concept for streamline! - Due to my new simulation of the drone flaring and doing some analysis i found out that the flaring provides little to no aerodynamic advantage and instead adds up more weight to the drone , simply said the new analysis showed that a classic fpv drone wont bring up the aerodynamic advantage i am looking for instead a pod drone with a uni-body with integrated chassis would be better for speed and aerodynamics i used NASA Airfoil sim to simulate the NACA wing profile And applied specific Camber angles (0.3 Degrees) which almost eliminates most of the drag on the wing while the current stage of the drone in prototype and mockups Software’s / services used Fusion 360 Simscale NASA Airfoil Sim (student) Airfoil plotter Airfoil DAT to Spline ( or any other fusion 360 Plugin for the conversion of CSV file to spline for accurate Airfoil Profile) Although i wasted a ton of time on the classic but atleast i got to learn more complex modeling such as T-spline and Surface modeling for such surfaces . I am currently not using ansys because using ansys for small task is a waste of time and also my ansys is kind of having a crack down idk why
Components placements , Frame & CFD for the new Drone design the placements and the frame of the components matters a lot because its helps in reducing weight and keeping it balanced through constant speed and also not concentrate all the weight on a specific point (weight distribution), to model the frame correctly i needed to be sure that the prototype Aerodynamics are correct and balanced without causing to much drag on the cone and on the wings thanks to the water droplet body and the aerofoil wings the drag was significantly less and the main points causing the drag where the points at which the air and the body would first impact and the drag caused by it was mostly negligible allowing the drone to fly at its true capacity rather than being a literal flying brick Software used fusion 360 (modeling/CAD) Simscale (CFD analysis , Incompressible fluid (air) ) Reading used speed / velocity inlet - 83.33m/s pressure outlet - 0 / constant walls of the simulation box , Slip walls settings used
New mounting & aero designs Well i looked at some designs of the worlds fastest fpv pod drone from youtube of world record holders in search of proper tested ideas and mounting hole positioning this helps in saving time and money while the design of the drones is not copied the core idea and the mistakes of the record holders drones are kept in mind to avoid any costly mistakes , while this method cant guarantee 100% perfection of the entire assembely or the design there can always be room for mistakes despite trying to avoid it Now for the new elements the issue with the PDB mounting holes have bought me to a conclusion to change the distance between the mounting holes and match it to the FC so a single big hole can be used for all purpose avoiding any poor mounting or adding additional weight just to support any additional unnecessary supports for the holes talking about supports the supports between the holes and the walls are now webbed with thickness of 1mm with multiple walls to make it stiff enough for high G forces , making it a better design choice for mounting and stiffness about the new addition the previous design of the wing is now changed to a proper NACA airfoil to avoid excess drag and no lift to avoid instability at high speed during maneuvering Details : Videos taken inspiration from https://youtu.be/-Iu6k9qJQ4I https://youtu.be/RoSSaSkOTTc -Airfoil details attached in images -Website - http://www.windandwet.com/windturbine/airfoil_plotter/index.php
Main body design So the wing is now designed from the NACA 0016 airfoil but there one problem , how do we know that we are getting the require drag and lift ?? , the answer is simple just put your airfoil model into simscale and use C(D) vs C(L) graph from your cfd post process result , okay now we have our data after 10 Mins of simulation , but oh its is newtons… now we will use the equation that every engineers use this formula Force(Newtons) = C(D) * 1/2 * p * V^2 * A Notations C(D) = coefficient of drag p = density of air V = velocity -A = area so after some mind soaring calculations you get 24.82 Grams of drag per wing yeppe , congratulations ! you have successfully got a low drag and zero lift wing !! apart from all of this accurate and precise modeling is done for low error model , just joining the wings to the core testing a locking mechanism making few adjustments in models and making the model aerodynamic that’s it for this devlog folks nothing more ! sources used : Simscale - CFD - Incompressible , V : 88.3 m/s
Body & frame In this time period the overall assembly of the frame and body and the mechanisms which will hold all the body together and will last all most 2G’s during flight and make sure that nothing get dismantled at 300km/h (unlike Boeing) and also make sure that the frame is tough enough to withstand high tension and gravitational forces and not snap under it and also making sure that everything can fit properly with leaving some room for some wiggle and in this process i had to change the battery that i aimed to use, to fit it inside drone and made a decision to not remake the drone itself again that’s all folks! can’t belive that this is my shortest devlog , geez i need to work more efficiently…. Some of the trickier parts of milestone 3 were getting planets and moons to move in a convincing way, while keeping the controls responsive; showing useful live readouts without making the screen feel overloaded; and making spacecraft trips and orbital data understandable without pretending they’re accurate enough for real mission planning. Devlog #1: Hello Earthlings So I started with phase 1 of ASTRA-3D, which is a website that shows a lot of stuff, like 3D Solar System, info about planets, asteroid details, weather details and might have a ASTRA AI Chatbot as we progress through more updates and phases. Phase 1 is basic and basically shows the 3D solar system and you can rotate to move the camera around. Moreover, you can click on planets to display the info abt them. Thats it Thx

Devlog#3-ish Hello mighty earthlings, I’m not really done with phase 3 of my project, hell, I’m not even done with phase 2 . I am currently adding moon textures and planet textures to the planets to make them look more realistic and I’m improving my UI. The thing is, there is a lot of errors and bugs, so this might be the most boring and brain-draining part yet. I think I would need another 6-7 hours to stop all errors and polish it. Until next time I guess
So, hello It has been a long time since I made my previous devlog. I actually went from milestone 1 to making milestone 0. So milestone 0 is the landing page, that describes what ASTRA 3D is and has a scroll driven narrative system. Clicking the ‘enter observatory’ button will take the user into the main logic of this website. I’ve integrated milestone 1 and milestone 0, and I’m progressing through milestone 2. That’s it, I guess. Byeeeeeeee
Devlog #5: Hello Earthlings, For Milestone 0, I upgraded the landing page into a proper interactive intro for ASTRA. It now has the orbital blueprint design, animated planet cards, scroll and pointer effects, section reveals, mobile navigation, reduced-motion support, and a clearer button that takes you into the simulation. The simulation itself stayed mostly the same for now, while I focused on making the first screen feel more polished and connected to the project’s space-science theme. As you can see, the design of the website has been improved a lot from before. I had some help from my friends at school, but I did around 65% of the work.
Devlog #6: Milestone 1 is where ASTRA stops being just a cool landing page and becomes an actual interactive Solar System. You can look around in 3D, select planets and moons, speed up or pause time, check live information, measure distances, and try simple spacecraft missions and orbit experiments. There were a few challenges along the way of building milestone 1, bugs and alot of errors. But I’ve created milestone 1, and I’m simultaenoulsy creating milestone 2.
Milestone 2 is basically about taking ASTRA from a working demo to a more complete learning tool, with things like extra satellites, better mission lessons, more detailed visuals, and useful features like saving or exporting your measurements. Added ASTRA Guide, a built-in educational assistant. It can explain planets, orbital speed, orbital periods, Kepler-inspired motion, eccentricity, inclination, AU, simulation time, distances, and the model’s limits. Answers use the currently selected planet, simulation date, speed, and active distance measurement. Added suggested questions to help beginners know what to ask. Milestone 3 will probably focus on making ASTRA more advanced and useful, with deeper mission-planning lessons, more satellites, better visuals, and tools for saving or exporting your measurements.
Guys, so like I started grinding on this thing Like this has been my main centre of focus atp. I finished building milestone 3 and added some features. Milestone 3 is the Expedition phase: adding moons, spacecraft missions, live data, and guided learning and discovery tools. Basically, ASTRA grows from exploring the solar system to taking little learning trips through it. The project simplifies some of the physics, and the roadmap still calls out live data and guided discovery as future work.
Alright guys, It might genuinely be time to ship this Goddamn I finished milestone 4 and 5 now, last minute grind Milestone 4 is where ASTRA gets more interactive. There’s more satellites, moons, spacecraft, etc. You can move around the 3d environment, so that it starts actually feeling like space simulation. In milestone 5, you can actually do stuff with those objects. You can create a mission, choose a destination, set objectives, plan the mission steps, and see everything play out in the 3D environment.
Ships:
ASTRA 3D is an interactive Solar System explorer. You can change the date and clock speed, select planets, compare distances, experiment with orbital parameters, and try simplified flights and transfers. It also includes a local notebook and an offline guide. The challenging part was connecting the orbital calculations to an interactive 3D scene while making clear what the simplified model can and cannot tell you. I’m proud that the project lets people explore these ideas hands-on and explains its limits: it isn’t a full physics simulation or a mission-planning tool. To try it, start the app with pnpm install and pnpm dev, then use the controls to change the date, select planets, measure distances, or launch an experiment....
