Then publicly marks a card number as its supposed pick. That mark can be honest or a complete bluff or lie. You never see which. The number. Your job is to decide whether to trust it pick your card instead or call its bluff directly with a Challenge button. The AI gets progressively less trustworthy as the game goes on. What I Built Core gameplay loop A 25-card board with 5 fixed bomb positions, generated and shuffled every round. Currently the only way the game ends is. Losing outright. A use “reveal” ability to make card-tracking matter across the whole game not just the first couple of rounds before the shuffle outpaces human memory. This was built solo for Brakeys Game Jam in 3 days. Feedback’s always welcome. Will add the screenshots, in final devlog because right now I’m running late on time for the jam submission. Once you got your WebOS framework done, making new windows isn’t even that hard. The second app on the desktop is now a picture of my cute cat named Pixel :). I also polished a bit (by making windows spawn randomly) and got ready to make the third and final app for WebOS 1, a notepad.
CatOS is done! The app now fully works, has three apps (new is a notepad, which you can write in. It does not yet save, so upon closing a tab (not minimizing) you’ll lose the notes. I’ll add save/load in WebOS 2). The app feels really smooth. Go check it out on https://catpowerz.github.io/StardanceWebOS/
Oohhh, spicy Notepad save/load system and settings panel where you can change the background image, the background transparency (brightness) and even the font.
CatAudio is the final app for WebOS 2: an app where you can play two soundtracks composed by the great great…. me?? Guys I really need FL Studio cuz my DAW is feeling like editing audio like MS Paint. However, I’m still very proud. Just a few more changes and then I can ship.
Oops, I nearly forgot to write the README. I polished everything and if nothing went wrong it’s now live.
Ships:
CatOS is live! A fully working WebOS 1 made for Stardance, featuring cute cats, a notepad and a welcome screen. The project is live on Github Pages. It was pretty doable, but it took some time. I barely used AI, only for debugging specific logic, but the main CSS/HTML is handwritten by me.
This is CatOS, aka WebOS 2, a better and more complete version than WebOS 1. It has multiple extra features, and even my own music that I composed! Please check it out, I’m very proud that the website turned out so well. It was pretty hard juggling the urge to finish this with the rest of my project, but I learned how to do so....

This project is being developed in stages, starting with a simple car and gradually adding intelligence. What I Built MVP 1 – Basic Car Movement The first milestone was creating a car that could: Move forward and backward Turn left and right Rotate smoothly Move using basic trigonometry The car’s movement is calculated using sine and cosine functions based on its current heading angle. MVP 2 – Sensor System After movement was working, I added five distance sensors. The sensors act like rays extending from the front of the vehicle: Left Front-left Front Front-right Right Each sensor checks for collisions with walls and returns the distance to the nearest obstacle. This allows the car to “see” its surroundings. Example sensor output: [150, 120, 85, 140, 150] The smaller the number, the closer an obstacle is. MVP 3 – First Autonomous Driver Using the sensor data, I implemented a simple rule-based AI. The logic is straightforward: Drive forward continuously If an obstacle appears ahead, turn toward the side with more open space Avoid walls detected by side sensors Although the AI is simple, it can already navigate parts of the track without human input. Challenges Faced One of the biggest issues was setting up Pygame. Initially, installation failed because I was using Python 3.14, which caused compatibility problems with the version of Pygame being installed. I switched to pygame-ce and successfully got the simulator running. I also encountered several coding mistakes: Misspelled method names Incorrect variable references Nested functions due to indentation errors Collision detection bugs Debugging these issues helped me better understand Python classes and object-oriented programming. What I Learned Throughout this session I learned: Pygame basics Real-time game loops Raycasting concepts Collision detection Trigonometry for movement Basic autonomous navigation I also gained experience reading Python error messages and tracking down bugs. Current Status Completed: ✓ Vehicle movement ✓ Sensor system ✓ Wall collision detection ✓ Basic autonomous driving In Progress: □ Better collision model □ Track checkpoints □ Fitness scoring □ Multiple vehicles Planned: □ Genetic algorithms □ Neural networks □ Procedural track generation □ Training visualization Next Steps The next major milestone is creating multiple AI-controlled cars and implementing a fitness system. Instead of manually programming driving behavior, future versions will evolve better drivers over time through genetic algorithms. The long-term vision is to build a miniature autonomous driving research sandbox where hundreds of vehicles learn and improve through simulation. our first step towards greatness. Yessir we officially have our own video output! there’s still a long long way to go before we actually render a picture, and there’s a huge memory controller shaped elephant in the room that i do not want to address, but for now rejoice.
Custom encoders , and custom patterns! The lack of an actual memory is nothing to a man who does his magic inside shaders. The hdmi stream in reality is just like a graphics shader, each pixel and fragment are the same to me. custom gradients galore! the encoder was a little hard to lock down but i got it in the end hehe

Man this sure is one bad apple! after much blood sweat and screen tearing, we have achieved bad apple running at max resolution (1024 x768). by utilizing a custom encoding format, I compressed the video sequence into a linear stream that the custom decoder can decipher and deliver images to. This is my new project a study OS! It is going to be a bunch of study apps like notes, a pomodoro timer, tasks, etc. I am learning more js through this and hoping to do more arrays and localStorage stuff so I thought something like this where you have to store data would be kind of good. Overall pretty easy but kinda became time consuming because the styling of stuff got annoying like with the apps grid and stuff but it got worked out. All good so far!
Updates have been made! I made it so that localstorage like remembers what theme you chose and is consistent across all the apps, so I created the notes app first to check but it’s not functional and there’s basically nothing on it. This took me way to long and was lowkey really annoying but it’s fine… anyways this is what the notes app looks so far and now I have to like actually make it work which means figuring out localStorage and it’s probably not that bad but I have like 0.5% JS knowledge but oh well I guess it’s a learning oppurtunity. I haven’t really used this before so it required quite some time and I needed some help from ai as well T-T but this is a good knowledge to have now. Clear notes gets rid of all the notes. Now the next app!
I started the tasks app its basically the same as notes but now I need to implement the logic where if you click on it it’ll disappear it shouldn’t be too hard. I’m debating whether to add like checkboxes which would defintiely look nicer but I am pretty busy with school so we shall see. But the layout for this is done!
the tasks app is finally done! this was SUCH a pain to test there was something with live server about my cache not reloading and then none of the css was loading and I had to do a bunch of like tests to figure out what was wrong and yeah it randomly started working so then I could finally just clear it. It was also a little confusing how to put it in a class and then target specific stuff but its done now!

Well, I’m done with this project, I’m very happy with the result of what I did, and I learnt a lot of JavaScript, HTML and CSS. For this final update I worked on a ton of QOL basically, basically the following: All things you build now get saved when you reset the page. You can now scale and rotate objects (only certain you can rotate), for example, Seals can be scaled up and be slower, or be scaled down and be faster. For rotating and scaling, you can also use your ARROW KEYS :D That was about it, most of my time spent was in structuring my code and making it easier to expand, so the integration of these was pretty easy tbh. Well, thank you for following me on this journey <] SEAl YA!", "repo": "https://github.com/IndieSeal/SealWebOS", "demo": "https://indieseal.github.io/SealWebOS/"}, {"ship_num": 2, "ts": "2026-08-12T06:19:20Z", "hours": 37.0, "multiplier": 19.4, "payout": 720, "blessing": "neutral", "text": "I made 3 new apps, but I did add a heck ton more features! Ok, let’s get started with the apps first: Moving Seals: This is an app that lets you draw seals that move all over your screen and that after they’re spawned you have the possibility to make them explode, or nuke them if you’re so cruel. Sand Builder: An app to decorate your os! Place sand castles, starfishes and sand dollars (didn’t know those existed but they’re really cool). Settings: A simple app to adjust volume settings, and to enable a certain possible jumpscare with a very small chance of it happening every second, hope it doesn’t catch you off guard. They’re also saved if you reload the page (including Seal Clicker!!). About the features, I wanted to add some small things that were fun to play around and fun to discover, very silly! So I made the following: Sleepy but hungry seal: A seal that sits in the top left corner of your screen which if you click, will call it’s guard (an epic cat), which will throw a brick at you lol, this will leave your screen fractured, unless you feed the seal some fish by dragging them into its mouth. Fish: There’s some new decoration, which are fish who like to swim below in your screen in the sea! You can grab them to feed the hungry seal. DVD Seal: I wanted to experiment with 3D, because I saw a really cute seal model, so I made it so you can grab it and throw it around like the DVD Screensaver, I’m not sure why it reminded me of it, but yeah. Foxy Jumpscare: I wanted to scare the user of the website, at first I thought I would do a really creepy seal image, WHICH I FOUND SOME WHICH I WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO ERASE FROM MY BRAIN D:, but I landed on the Foxy Jumpscare as I think it’s funnier and fits the silly vibes more, but I decided to disable it by default so if someone doesn’t know about it, they don’t get jumped or smthing. Since the last update, I updated a lot of the visuals (just UI elements, my weird art will still be there), thanks to my sister which is an artist (thx for the help :D). I had a bit of trouble with the 3D DVD Seal as I thought moving it would be as easy as just getting the input from the canvas, I was so wrong, I was there for hours trying to fix it, and then I thought, what about raycasting? That would literally need the model to be hit! But implementation also took hours as I couldn’t find any guides, but OH WELL. I’m super duper happy with how it turned out, and I hope you love it as much as I enjoyed making it, thanks for watching my devlogs, for reading alla this. and bye <3", "repo": "https://github.com/IndieSeal/SealWebOS", "demo": "https://indieseal.github.io/SealWebOS/"}, {"ship_num": 3, "ts": "2026-08-03T00:56:22Z", "hours": 68.0, "multiplier": null, "payout": 0, "blessing": "neutral", "text": "Hello there!! I made a very Seal-Inspired WebOS, it has 3 apps, which only two are cool as the other one is just an introduction to the OS and me! The REAL cool apps are these as of right now are: Seal Clicker: A clicker/idle game like Cookie Clicker but if it was seals. SealTok: Wanna brainrot your brain until it only thinks of seals? Me too! Now you can do that here!! I think what was most challenging about making this project was the Seal Clicker app as it went through multiple stages of rebuilding to make expanding the upgrades and seals easier, and in general it’s just a big app lol, I also did all the art myself, I’ve been challenging myself recently to learn to draw, even if they’re not the best drawings, but I’m very happy on how it turned out! I also had barely any knowledge about HTML, CSS and JS, so I learnt everything from scratch, though I was glad to discover that JS is surprisingly similar to my main coding language C#. I’m also VERY proud of the Seal Clicker app, it’s where I learnt that a lot of the concepts from C# were applicable in JS and is where I put my structure optimization hat haha, I ended up loving the drawings I made. And for you to test the project just hit the “Try Project” button and it will take you there! I really hope you enjoy the OS as much as I loved building it, and thanks for taking the time to check it out!!", "repo": "https://github.com/IndieSeal/SealWebOS", "demo": "https://indieseal.github.io/SealWebOS/"}]...

So I made some new sliders that affect multiple things, which I used to replace the audio categories! (sfx and ui for example), audios that fit into the same category and have one slider that affects all of them. Thanks to the new slider system I have, it was very easy to implement a new feature, sizing and rotation for objects! Though not all objects are rotatable, but at least they all are scalable :]! So now you can have annoying cockroach seals that zoom all over the screen, or have big sealies that move as slow as a turtle. OH, I almost forgot. You can also use the arrow keys to rotate and scale the stuff without having to grab the slider and move it around, though I could not find a way to make it so you can press more than 2 keys at the same time, I will be putting some time to research that, but for now, nope :[ Alrighty, that is it for this cool devlog , see ya"}, {"post_id": 65627, "ts": "2026-09-10T21:30:46Z", "hours": 6.7997, "text": "Hello thereeee!! i am back with a pretty boring devlog, oh yea I have been fixing bugs, which that I am aware, everything should be fixed (hopefully) These include: Sealtok autoplaying on page load (videos with audio would be heard from outside, which could be annoying) I have also been busy with structuring code, and I am currently working on optimizing the Audio Categories to translate them into the new settings system! Fixed Foxy Jumpscare setting not actually working I already have some ideas in mind of what I want to do next! If you wanna hear my quick vent, go ahead: For WebOS 1 I really placed a lot of time into it so I could have my code structure really well done so it would be really easy to create new apps, and I did spend a lot of time in Seal Clicker lol, but I thought the ratings would count both Web 1 and 2, but sadly not, so I will have to work another 50 hours on this , not annoyed, but I did wanna work on other projects"}, {"post_id": 45597, "ts": "2026-08-12T05:57:52Z", "hours": 8.5486, "text": "Hello there, and welcome to my last devlog, it is been a long journey, but I have done it, I have learned the ways of HTML, CSS and JS. I hate them all, but at least I know them now lol. I made a lot of QOL, a LOT of bug fixing and added some cool little features, you can take a look: Random Foxy Jumpscare: It is an option in the Settings App which can be activated and desactivated, but it is disabled by default. Saved settings: All settings you modify will be kept if you reload the page, this also works with the Seal Clicker app! Fih: Now you will see a bunch of fish swimming around in the bottom of the screen, and they are grabbable!! Sleepy, Hungry seal: The seal in the top corner of the screen is very sleepy, if you click it, it will get mad, but you can fix the damages by feeding it fish. So i had to spend a lot of time making it easily expandable, and it was worth it!! I also made a variation of the seal´s sprite so you can choose which one to spawn, there is also brushes now for spawning and removing seals, aswell as an icon for nuking them all!! The other app will be for spawning sand castles, sea stars and other stuff like that ONLY in the sand, below everything that is UI. With these two apps, I would just need to add one more app, and I should be done! Probably another game to have some more fun stuff, I know that will take a while, but eh, doesn´t really matter."}, {"post_id": 41328, "ts": "2026-08-05T14:03:48Z", "hours": 8.7142, "text": "These days I have been mostly optimizing the code, so again, it is easier to create new windows and stuff, and I also fixed some annoying window header css issues. I finally finished the drag and drop feature, took me a while as I was trying to have different cursors while outside, while hovering and while clicking, which took longer than I thought, but I did it! Next task: Make an app inside of the OS
Finally finished the basic part of the windows, still needs to be polished, but hey they behaviour’s there!
Working on the taskbar, and added some audio to keep it from being so silent, I was getting tired from it! To-do: -Work on Wii-type opening app menu. -Finish adding sounds everywhere -Add more desktop apps -Finish taskbar behaviour
I have improved my audio system for dragging objects, so it only plays when you´re moving the window and not just by touching it, and finished adding the lerp implementation to the windows, I still gotta fix some bugs though, like the buttons from the windows making sound when hovered WHEN moving the windows too fast, I´m thinking I´ll disable their interactions when the window is grabbed. I also made a very important change, to avoid creating duplicate script and to make my lerp actually work, I made the whole drag script into a class! I´m about to hit the 10 hour time limit per devlog, so I´m posting this :] As of currently, I´m just trying to make the project more organized, I´ve been making folders to store CSS´s as I´ve been splitting the main one, similarly of how I did with my Java Script files. Hellooo!! Well, I´ve been working a lot on the Seal Clicker app, it´s taking a whole lot more than I had initially thought, but oh well. I have finished my Seal-Tok, I wanted to keep it simple, I do not really want to add likes and comments and stuff as I do not want to overcomplicate myself as much as I did with Seal Clicker lol, but I may add a ¨Share¨ feature which would just take you to the source of the authors video. Final devlog, this was a great journey, and I cannot wait to get started on WebOS 2, this is going to take an eternity with how long this first part took me, but I already have a solid base (I might even do some more structure changes in the code to make it EVEN EASIER to make windows), and I learnt a lot about HTML, CSS and JS! Well, in these last two days I did the following: Fixed the drag audio bug Fixed some CSS which was not working on build Finished adding all the art for Seal Clicker Balanched Seal Clicker so it takes around 10-20 minutes to finish Made App Icons for Seal Clicker and SealTok Made some visual changes Added RESOURCES.md and updated the README.md hope you enjoy it!!! I really loved building it 🦭 (hope there is someone as autistic as me who loves seals lol)
These days I have been mostly optimizing the code, so again, it is easier to create new windows and stuff, and I also fixed some annoying window header css issues. I am also thinking to change some of the audio the apps have to sound a bit less THUMPY. I currently have two things I am working on, just a visual update in general for the OS so it feels more silly, which should be in video 2, and a new app >:] This new app, I am still unsure in which direction to take it, maybe both?? But here is the idea: You have seals that move in your screen, and you can click to explode them (sorry sealies ) But I do need to decide wether with this to do this or that: A minigame where seals spawn and you have to explode as many as you can in a limited amount of time. Desktop pets, them just hanging around, and if they are bothering you, just pop them lol. Or I could do a combo of the two, but again, unsure. Would love to know what everyone else thinks
Hello there, I did a lot of expanding on the Seal Moving app, I grabbed it and stripped all of its bones and removed their personality so they were easily modifiable and expandable! YIPPEE. What I am trying to say is, I plan on using the same behaviour of spawning seals for another app to decorate your OS´s background! Probably another game to have some more fun stuff, I know that will take a while, but eh, doesn´t really matter.
I made mostly visual improvements and added some silly stuff in general, because I wanna have fun, you know? These include: Mad Seal: The seal is resting, and you woke them up by clicking them, they are calling the crazy kitty to attack you, for now the damage is permanent (until you refresh the page), but there will soon be a way to revert it by feeding the seal. 🐟 Spinning Seal: You can grab it and throw it around like those DVD Screensavers, its fun! 📀 I want to make something to jumpscare y´all, but I will be thinking of ideas to do so hehe, be prepared >:] I had to make the Desktop App Icons wrap around, so they did not sink into the water, because I do not want that. I am so close to finishing this really cool OS which I am really proud of, I love it so much, and did it all without any frameworks which is really cool. These changes are not published yet, they are on a testing branch as I still need to squash some bugs.
Hello there, and welcome to my last devlog, it is been a long journey, but I have done it, I have learned the ways of HTML, CSS and JS. Audio: Added a bunch more of audio Fixes: A lot of bug interactions with the DVD Seal.
Well, I am back at it, as my goal is to get a 3D printer! As of currently, I just fixed a couple of bugs, including: Making ¨painting¨ apps easier to close. Fixed it so you could not ¨paint¨ when clicking the close or minimize button. Fixed Foxy Jumpscare setting not actually working I already have some ideas in mind of what I want to do next! If you wanna hear my quick vent, go ahead: For WebOS 1 I really placed a lot of time into it so I could have my code structure really well done so it would be really easy to create new apps, and I did spend a lot of time in Seal Clicker lol, but I thought the ratings would count both Web 1 and 2, but sadly not, so I will have to work another 50 hours on this , not annoyed, but I did wanna work on other projects
Hello thereeee!! i am back with a pretty boring devlog, oh yea I have been fixing bugs, which that I am aware, everything should be fixed (hopefully) These include: Sealtok autoplaying on page load (videos with audio would be heard from outside, which could be annoying) I have also been busy with structuring code, and I am currently working on optimizing the Audio Categories to translate them into the new settings system! (sfx and ui sliders) I also spent some of the stardust on buying a domain, so I can have my cool OS outside of github >:] (now with cloudflare too) Some really cool things that I have been working on for the Paint Windows is so they get saved, so you can restart the page and have your drawn things there again!! I have a rotation system and scaling system for object painting, but with the structuring of the setting system so that I can create sliders for other things too, it is still a WIP, but it should be out soon! Alright, yippe and bye
Helloooooooo, I again fell into the rabbit hole of OPTIMIZATION As I am on my mission to make everything really approachable for coders that may want to inspect the code and fork it, and make their own silly changes, it is easier than ever. You can also use the arrow keys to rotate and scale the stuff without having to grab the slider and move it around, though I could not find a way to make it so you can press more than 2 keys at the same time, I will be putting some time to research that, but for now, nope :[ Alrighty, that is it for this cool devlog , see ya

Hello there!! I really hope you enjoy the OS as much as I loved building it, and thanks for taking the time to check it out!!
I made 3 new apps, but I did add a heck ton more features! I’m super duper happy with how it turned out, and I hope you love it as much as I enjoyed making it, thanks for watching my devlogs, for reading alla this. and bye <3
Hello there!! Well, thank you for following me on this journey <] SEAl YA!...

Devlogs:
Transitioning from Macondo I realized that I won’t be able to complete this project in time for macondo, so, instead I will do the project here! All the logs for the creation process are on macondo, I can provide as per request, but I’ll be continuing off of here.
Changes, and advancements in pcb design… I decided that i will use a top-mount case, much easier to manufacture than gasket mount, which I am alien to… kind of. What I’m doing is kind of a combination of top mount case and gasket mount. I will use a foam tape as a sort of gasket type thing, but it will span the entire perimeter of the keyboard, instead of specific gasket areas, allowing me to get a proper thocky sound but at an easier way to design it. I’m also placing all the keys now for visual representation.
Finished placing the keys, a daunting task. I had to manually place the keys, reference what the offset is compared to otehrso n the guide, etc etc. And get this: It is all just for the visual cad represenation when this finishes. lmao
Now I’m transitioning to blender for the case design. I like blender because I can fine tune the aesthetics and all. SO I set up the case basics and everything, and did allat yk. it looks pretty nice. I used a pre-designed set of keycaps online because I won’t be making those, but ordering them instead. anyway, it all looks pretty nice!
Working on the keyboard case… I made the exterior look all nice (ish), but I didn’t create the semi-gasket mount. An invention of my own The “gasket” is just foam tape going around the whole perimeter of the keeb’s plate. Absorbing vibrations and enhancing “thoccieness” Hell yeah I still have to finish the case. It isn’t close to being done yet. This is a rough “sketch”
Okay so I swapped up the case design agian. I had to redesign eveyrthing because the top part of the case is too shallow for the esp-32 s3. Also I have to make sure the walls have thickness right now they are just 0mm thick. BTW, what i’m doing in this keyboard case, is something rarely done before. I’m creatign a gasket mount but no the regular kind. THis one will consist of poron foam tape spanning the entire perimeter as the “gasket”
building even more of the case I finished up the general shape of the case. I created an opening for the USB-C port, and now I have to give the walls actual thickness and stuff, and check for stuff. This case design is really cursed because instead of combining two walls, I just placed the verticies in the same place instead of joining lmao
My design is cooked… The plate is same in dimensions as the PCB, so there is no way for the gasket support to fit between PCB and plate without losing structural integrity or just not fitting if I’m 3d printing. So I think the workaround here is to widen the plate across the y-axis and use those protrusions as support for the gaskets. Idk I’ll see how the flow goes lowk. Even though right now it is a kind-of gasket mount, this classifies it as a semi kind-of gasket mount lmao Also, I’m deciding that I will do a silicon pour under the PCB for maximum sound insulation. it will also add weight to the keyboard, to keep it anchored and NOT rattly. next will be to double check all parts of keyboard, make sure everything has proper thickness, and hope for the best!
I finalized the keyboard design (hopefully…) I added sections for rubber feet Made the case slightly longer for the bottom to have some thickness, and all sorts of other stuff. Now onto rendering or sum idk.
Rendering coming along ; )
Oh boy working on the rendering more
This is the final render. Pls comment if I should change anything Edit: I saw those two weird white lines and removed them. IDK why they were there in the first place. Yep so hopefully looks fine now.
So I was working on teh BOM and stuff, but I realized I forgot to put screw holes in my keyboard case lmao. have to do that.
I am fixing the stuff and adding holes and all, but blender froze. I reverted it cuz I didn’t want to lose the project. It’s late anyway. i’ll do it tomorrow (along with 5 APs in school :( )
I finally was able to remove the trillion verticies frying my ram. I used the remesh modifier. It make the topology a bit cursed, but its ight since its going to be 3d printed. I don’t really know what to do about the holes. Create an extended part of the keyboard specifically for the holes? idk son 😭
LESS GOOO SCREWS DONE
Polishing the keyboard. I converted the STLs to .STEP (a very annoying process btw), but before that i had to optimize the whole thing. I had to combine meshes and everything because all the files were totaling ~1g, and frying my RAM. Also I continued creating the BOM, and validating the PCB and stuff. This was SOO slow. because my ram was maxed out, I had to use SWAP. then blender, i had to wait like ~15 minutes between each operation because it ran hella slow. But I started researching different things like which keycaps I should use, which pour, and whatnot. BUt the whole optimization was so freaking tedious it took my whole bloody afternoon

Having those ledges just gives the chance of messing up the 3d print. So I’ll do it like that. Also, I’m working on the github. I am solidifying the whoel readme and BOM.
righty guys so i changed some PCB things, sorted out through budget (was pushing $300 but now down to 220) and I split the prints in half so that they can actually be printed. I had to create brand new screw holes and patch existing holes and stuff with cursed geometry
Yesss lesgooo we are moving bois the case is getting done, now i think ima order all parts now.
Lets see how it will go now…...

Just finished the first version of the macropad. Beginner, so I followed the instructions. Can’t wait to reverse engineer some features and make it unique.
Worked on the schematic for my own macropad design. This was a lot harder than the three-key schematic in the instructions, and I learned a lot about wiring and Kicad. At first I wanted to fit in lots of keys and both encoders, but somewhere along the way I pivoted to a simpler design. I feel the final product would be easier to use this way. I’m having fun, looking forward to making progress!
Worked on troubleshooting my schematic and completing the footprints. In my next sessions, I’ll work on the PCB design.
I worked on power management and arranging the PCB footprints. Now all I have left to do is to finish arranging the PCB, route the PCB, and finish a CAD model for the macropad’s casing.
Worked on the PCB (routing is hard!) and the case....

Right now I am working on the HomeScreen of the game. I know I know, the background color is not very good, but it is just a placeholder since I don’t like it so blank as I work. I also made 2 buttons (The Rules and the Play Game buttons ) which also seem pretty generic to me, but I am hoping I can improve it further on as I find a theme for this game. I am currently planning on just using CSS, JavaScript, and HTML for this.
So I have made a Rule Page and a Play Game Page, and made sure to have added an Escape button to return to the Main Page. ( I am not really to concerned about the styling right now, I am just trying to focus on what I am trying to do)
It has been a while! I decided to go with a more retro feel to it and even learned how to add an audio file and set it to autoplay, loop, and unmuted. I also officially figured out what was wrong with the demo url, fixed it and now currently trying to commit changes onto GitHub. Next time, I may learn how to add graphics so the Home Screen isn’t so basic.
I decided to add a starry animation for the background of the page. I didn’t exactly know how to do it, but as I was watching a video I was able to create a canvas and define the randomization of the positions of the stars( Kind of going for a space-trek kind of feel in a way). In doing so, everything that I have done for the beginning page got moved down, so I am hoping that once I get the animation done that I can merge what I have done before with the more immersive background. It doesn’t look good right now, so please stand by!
Today, I just decided to use a GIF to become the more immersive background that I was looking for. I found this one that seems to go well with the rhythm of the audio. I also tried to put a text-shadow on the title and made it a little bit bigger. Now to work on the games itself . . .
So today, I wanted to make my first avatar(something simple like a blob or just a circle), but I think it was a little advanced for me :( Instead I decided to start making the Courses buttons to direct the user to the actual levels. I decided that for this project, I would just make three levels and call it a day, so I set up a folder for each Course or level and set up html, CSS, and JavaScript for each one.
