I spent so much time overthinking how to debug the 53 errors i got, turns out it was because of a semicolon…. btw this is a retro themed esp32 music play, because way too much stuff is digitalized and music shouldent be filled with ads!
i started rewriting the code so i can use little fs to save song names to the esp32, as the sd card is going to be directly mounted to the dfplayer and there is no other way to save or read data form the sd using the dfplayermini. I created a new settings menu as wel.
The display of my laptop broke :-( I have been coding uisng an external 7 inch monitor… These curly brackets are confusing me so much! But ill never stop this project till im done. Currently am rewriting the code for the menu and how to interact with it, i will andd bluetooth once im done with this base model!
currently writing the track selection code! Its throwing soooo many errors at me :-(
i started working on the settings part of the code . in getting hit with a lot of errors but im combing through the code and finding manyyy errors! ill update soon.
I finally got all the errors fixed! I’m going to flash and test this version and then add bluetooth! I’ll publish this version on github after that. :-)
im fixing a few errors it the menu like not being able to rename songs and fixing ui freezing and audio glitches, I got the base working and will start on bluetooth soon!
ok so the project works but i complete forgt to add the logic part of renaming songs etc, i deleted about 200 lines of code to update it. ill will post a breadboard prototype after fixing this version of code
I finished ver1.3, currenty debugging errors in ver1.3… Ill do a timlapse soon stay tuned for the hardware build montage!
I added code so that i can rename songs through the player but i have to clike abt 52 times per letter becaue the screen size and buttons are limited . If you have any ideas on optmizing the typing please feel free to suggest it in the comments!
just uploaded build montage on lapse go check it out
I’m currently fixing the keyboard navigation, and adding code to rename artists as well. I will update agian after fixing it.
I just dropped version 1.3 of the esp-pod on github , go check it out!
I found out i have to create a pcb so I’m doing it.
i fixed the schematics of the board. I added switches and labeled everything. I ran through the tests and it passed perfect.
i finished all the PCB Editing in about 5 hours!! I’m gonna put the PCB files on github soon. I”ll also send it for reshipping… hopefully it will be accepted.

This is a retro themed mp3 player built around the esp32-wroom-1, this is version 1.3, this verson can play audio, browse through songs, add favorite songs, remane songs, artists and setsong duration. It has an inbuild keyboard wich makes it easy to type and save songs....

There is a storyline that progresses throughout the game, and the user has to escape from being trapped inside a computer. There are multiple interactive elements, such as file explorers, terminals, open/close windows, draggable windows, choice buttons, and hidden objects. There is also a unique win and quit screen that can be achieved. I am happy with the way this turned out and the overall aesthetic of it. New project time! I wanted to make one of those web based kind of crappy escape rooms because I love the vibes of them. Unfortunately my script writing skills are sub-par so we will ignore that part for now. So far I made the opening slide and an intro slide where you just click open and a window opens. Took me way too long for so less but anything for the Stardance certificate I guess. Hopefully this turns out well and next time I’m hoping to make the very first minigame.
Updates have been made! I am now working on the first minigame sort of thing, it’s kind of like an OS where you have to dig through and find the password. Lucky for me the password is my birthday. Made a journal window and a photos window, hoping to add sort of a code window and a trash window later. This is sort of reminiscent of making the my web oS project LOL. Added open/close, and draggability and things.
First level is officially done and we are onto the second! On the first one I added a journal file, with a manifest from the little organization thing (I think the story is like you are trapped in a computer by a cult… and you have to get out) and a personal journal that has the password. There’s also a trash file (which is empty), a photos file with some random photos, and also a file explorer with some files. Second level just has numbers hidden in photos. Overall pretty good, kind of repetitive JS and HTML and things so yeah. Next up LEVEL 3!
Third level is COMPLETE! This level has a terminal with a bunch of commands, you click on that icon to open it and again it is password protected. You can get the time, list of commands, clear, about, where am i, and a clue which basically tells you to like take the first letter of each thing under help and thats pretty much the password. Next level (4) is probably gonna be like you have escaped from the computer but now your like in a room or something. We shall see!
Fourth level done! This is basically kind of your in a tunnel, you click on one of the posters on the wall and then when you hover over a certain area of the poster the password appears and takes you to the fifth level. I have no idea how many levels there are going to be but we’ll see. This took longer than it should but it was kind of a pain figuring out the position of stuff and thats why it took quite a bit of time. Next fifth level!
Level 5 is done! I think level 6 is going to be the very last level so next I just have to make that and a win/death screen. Of course all windows are draggable what not. Level 6 next!
Level 6 is done at last! AKA the final level unless I spontaneously decide to add one more. Here there is a newspaper you reveal, and basically there is a clock on the wall and the paper tells you to look behind the clock, there’s the password but oh wait it has to be in numerical order least to greatest. Pretty fun and easy to make, and yeah I’m kind of running out of ideas for levels so this will probably be the last. A lot of repitive work mostly.
Quit screen is done! Pretty simple but I think that’s okay since the quit screen won’t be viewed very often… click session terminated and everything goes black and one would probably close the tab. Lastly the end screen!
This may just be the final devlog! Unless I add more although I don’t think I will. Here you can click on this guy and it opens a popup asking if you want to talk to him, and you guys can talk through the terminal. Finally you choose whether you want to stay and switches to this terminal room, or leave in which its just a black screen that says session terminated. I made a lot of silly errors in the terminal so debugging took a little while but its done now!
Ships:
I made a web based escape room made in HTML, CSS, and JS. There is a storyline that progresses throughout the game, and the user has to escape from being trapped inside a computer. Each level (there are 6) is password protected, and the passwords are hidden in different places throughout each level. There are multiple interactive elements, such as file explorers, terminals, open/close windows, draggable windows, choice buttons, and hidden objects. There is also a unique win and quit screen that can be achieved. I am happy with the way this turned out and the overall aesthetic of it. The Javascript was kind of difficult at times but for the most part just repetitive. Future improvements may be more levels or better graphics/storyline. Hope you enjoy!...

There are no CLI subcommands, CI mode, JSON output mode, daemon, or headless workflow in this version. Product and UX The interface was shaped around a developer diff dashboard: dark terminal styling, green/purple/blue accents, a file explorer picker, a scope list, candidate tabs, category counts, a diff table, and a selected-finding detail panel. The picker now includes a file explorer. Selecting a directory updates the scan path, and selecting an .env* file uses its parent directory. Single-scope projects open directly into the diff view so simple projects like a root .env plus .env.example do not require extra navigation. The diff view supports search, severity filtering, suppressed finding visibility, selected-finding details, and selected-only secret reveal. Secret-like values are masked by default throughout the TUI and export flow. Core Engine The core/ layer is UI-agnostic and independently tested. It contains: A custom dotenv parser that preserves ordering, line numbers, duplicate entries, blank values, quotes, and export prefixes. A scanner that discovers flat projects, multi-variant flat projects, and monorepo scopes. A comparator that returns dataclass-based findings. A data-driven heuristic engine for known token formats, high-entropy strings, weak values, and blank required secrets. One important v1 fix was discovery behavior for gitignored env files. Many real projects list .env in .gitignore ; envscope now still scans target .env files even when ordinary .gitignore rules mention them, while continuing to skip ignored directories such as .git , node_modules , venv , dist , and build . Configuration .envscope.toml supports: Custom scan ignore globs. Custom secret patterns. Custom weak values. Reasoned suppressions. Suppressed findings are not deleted. They remain visible in the TUI and Markdown export, but are counted separately from active findings. Each suppression requires a reason. YES I WILL USE FORCE IF YOU DONT SAY.) lets leave the jokes apart (or am i not joking ) and focus on project. ive added a list where it has almost every monster flavour and redbulls and right now we have a working counter along side with caffeine in total!
devlog 3# New stuff here, ive added a button that deletes the drink in the list!
devlog 4# NEW UPDATE Finally decided what color pallate should i use. i had choices from green with grayish colors, simple gray and black and purple with violet and more purple related colors. I think i have problems with violet and purple, BUT WHATEVER. also finally designed the site and made it be compatible with phone too, added EVERY FLAVOUR OF MONSTER AND REDBULL FROM THE ENTIRE EXISTING (please tell me what brand should i add next). LETS NOT FORGET THE MESSAGES BASED ON HOW MUCH CAFFEINE YOU HAD IN TODAY SECTION. (i wont spoiler, either you see on repo or wait until the project is shipped) You might think that the project is finally done. WRONG . i still have to process with what ideas should i do next BUT im thinking in the place where you select the drink you had, it should have info about it and a picture of it, something like this but i hope i can do it, most importanly is the picture one rather than the info about the drink cuz the caffeine amount is enough. (Edit) Forgot to mention that ive used Claude to make a list of every flavour and how much caffeine it has. STAY TUNED FOR MORE UPDATES, BE SURE TO FOLLOW TO PROJECT IF YOU WANT 54000 YEARS OF LUCK
devlog 5# Soooooooo major update incoming, ive removed the selection list and the new idea will come alive soon! before it was just a list with no pictures, now there will be a popout with all the drinks with a photo of them (check out my artistic drawing to know what im talking about)
devlog 6# FINALLY THIS IS OVER!!!!!!!!!! ive finally finished the major update (well 90% cuz i need to put the pictures of the cans there). with a little help with claude, THIS IS OVER!!!!!!!
devlog 7# Well… i kinda broke it while im trying to add them. BUT HEY good news that ive installed everything what is need! (from all monsters to redbulls. I dont know if there are all the flavours because where i live is kinda limited of few flavours)
devlog 8# I can finally say that… the first ship is finally done! ive finally added the pictures!! now i only have the readme.md, setup github pages and im all done!

Today I set up a brand new Github account, made a repository for this project, and connected it with VScode. I settled on using Java over Python, since I figured I needed a refresher after taking AP CSA 2 years ago. Then I spent about an hour researching encryption algorithms. Attached is my best understanding of how the encryption should be implemented/will work.
after reading up a little more on AES and still not fully understanding all of the processes I’ll need to implement, I figured I should just start writing the parts I do know I’ll need. I wrote a method that converts a string of plain text to a string of it’s binary equivalent, then another that splits that string of binary into bytes (every 3 digits) and adds each one to an array, and another that prints it in a readable manner for testing purposes. I’m still not done implementing the binary string to byte[] function as I just realized that the reason the byte variable type has 3 digits and not 4 is because it is not encoded in binary and I did not account for that in my code. I have a feeling I might find more systemic errors and/or redundancies in my code tomorrow as I’ve barely touched java (or coding for that matter) for 2 years, but I’ll work through them tomorrow and then move on the next step, which I believe is turning that 1D byte array into a 2D 4x4 column-major byte array for each 128 bits of text being encrypted.
spent about an hour writing the process of setting up plaintext for AES, but then as i tested it, i realized i hadn’t accounted for all edge cases and hadn’t written very efficient or elegant code so I decided to take a step back, write out the process on paper, and then rewrite the methods. Been working on the works page! I’m considering either linking everything to their GitHub repositories or creating dedicated pages for them 🤷♀️
Finally, I finished the works page. I wanted to create some project-specific pages but I convinced myself not to. Next up, I might add a blog.
I did some work on the blog page. The blog side of things should be fairly minimal, as effects shouldn’t be distracting people from reading a post, but also not too minimal for it not to fit the design language I’m going for. I settled for something simple with nice, snappy, hover animations. Oh right, I also worked on a fancy animation that followed your mouse on the homepage but I ended up throwing it away as it was a bit too much.
Working on the blog post view and styling markdown components so everything looks nice and tidy!
I took some time to make this nice micro-interaction. This copies the link to the heading you have hovered to your clipboard, in the context of a blog post.
i may or may not have done a lot of stuff and kinda forgot to devlog - anyhow, it’s publicly available now and i finished making markdown components

Okay the overall goal, similar to most, if not all tech companies is for this to be light, small, and have a long battery life(10 hours +). This is going to feature a 2 TB microSD card and despite the name of this project, is going to have FLAC or lossless audio files. I found this cool rotary encoder on a device and found that it is very very nice to use as volume control. I want to be able to have libraries on this singular device and the three buttons (rewind/back/left, play/pause/select/battery check, and skip/shuffle mode on and off/right ). The headphone jack is also going to be on the top of the player so that the head phone wires don’t get damaged. For the display, there’s not going to be an album cover on it for the sake of getting as many songs as possible on this, but album name might be included with the title. It’s going to scroll as well like many other mp3 players. Lastly, there are three more special features I wanted to add to this as well to make this personal. I’m going to add a strip of leds to show volume/battery like in the Nothing Phone 4a. I’m also going to add a metal clip to attach to pants. And finally, I’m adding a bass slider. I might actually also add an equalizer function to the software. Oh and one last thing: I’m going to add a microSD card slot like the one in your phone, but you don’t need a paper clip to open it. Simply just push and it pops out. Thanks for reading guys! Until next time!"}]...

Built file uploading + virus scanning of uploaded files! doing my vbest to make it prod ready soon!
Made it use tabed navigation, implemented identity verification!
im planing on offering more services so!! i made service isolation i will soon implement free web hosting and eventually compute!
offering free AI now! i have 200$ to burn since DO stopped offering github EDU a week ago :(
Started to implement webhooks! For users and for admins! this way you can be alerted over discord or slack for stuff regarding your account!!!
Moved back to Resend because Mailcow + Amazon SES wasn’t working due to issues with Amazon SES.Flagged files are now stored by their hash in our database. This significantly speeds up reviews, as ClamAV no longer has to rescan the same files repeatedly. Also started working on stats + made webhooks semi working!
Fixed admin sidebar navigation — clicking tabs actually switches views now, not just overview- Added reset modal with granular checkboxes (storage, verification, introduction) instead of a single button- Removed Access Codes feature entirely (sidebar, actions, schema)- Created suspension enforcement system: assertNotSuspended() / isSuspended() guards across AI chat, files, API keys, webhooks, and proxy routes- Added unsuspendUser() admin action with button in admin users table- Fixed webhook test delivery — was calling fireWebhook() which silently dropped test events; now calls deliver() directly. Same fix in admin and API route.- Changed webhook payloads to Discord embed format with color-coded events and “Hobbycloud” as bot name- Stripped PII (names, emails, filenames, share tokens, API key prefixes, ticket subjects) from all webhook payloads- Removed “Need more storage?” footer from dashboard shell- Added ticket categories + subcategories with shared hierarchy constants, database migration, subcategory selectors, admin category filtering- Redesigned ticket creation UI — dedicated full-page form with visual category cards (icons!), auto-priority based on category/subcategory- Priority now auto-adjusts: Feature Request/General → low, Abuse/DMCA → urgent, Account recovery → high, etc.
Added banned_domains table + admin page to ban email domains — bans a domain, terminates all users with that domain, sends a termination email explaining they used a blacklisted domain- Created components/emails/banned-domain-termination.tsx email template- Added admin Broadcasts feature — form to send an email to all users, logged in broadcasts table- Added lib/zip.ts — lightweight ZIP creation using raw DEFLATE (no npm deps needed)- Added /api/admin/users/[userId]/export — admin can download a user’s account.json + all files as a zip- Built fraud detection engine ( lib/fraud-detection.ts , app/actions/fraud.ts ): - Duplicate IP detection on registration (+15/+30 score) - Upload velocity spikes (+10/+20 score) - Storage abuse (80%+ full, mostly tiny files, +25 score) - Auto-suspends at 80+ score- Admin Fraud Detection page with score leaderboard, drill-down flag viewer, clear flags + unsuspend button- Fixed scripts (migrate.mjs, check-health.mjs, reset-password.mjs) to handle both 'email' and 'credential' providerId values after registration was updated to use 'credential'

i came up with a design that i wanted to use before i began the project thats based off of bleach - so i began with that in mind. i then looked at the hackpad website for all approved parts in the hackpad kit and placed in all of the components that i wanted in my schematic. the schematic was easy enough to create as the pinouts for all the components are either widely available or on the hackpad website :) after that, placed all the things i wanted down in the pcb editor roughly where i wanted to, tweaked a bit, routed traces and voila - bare pcb before i add any art to it!
downloaded the pcb’s step files and imported into onshape! designed a really low profile case - because i want the bare pcb kinda aesthetic - so its literally an angled plate with standoffs for heat set inserts. spent a lot of time tweaking and tinkering with the case and also made some really quick of art to engrave in the case and encoder knobs :) finally downloaded all the 3d models of the parts i will use, then assembled them using mates in my main assembly. hackpad’s pretty much fully finished, so the next couple of devlogs will be dedicated to making art, a proper github page and firmware using qmk!
the readme is like 70% of the way there already! (all the blank parts are placeholders for art and images ) i really like the designs of some of my other readmes, especially peroxide and pentoxide (wasted a really cool idea on pentoxide and im still fuming) so i copied most of the formatting from them and then once i get some batteries for my pen - ill make some art for the readme and the pcb! next on the agenda is obviously art, but also renders, qmk firmware writing AND making it via compatible are the next courses of action!
so, pcb art am i right? i finished off my silkscreen art and im honestly so happy with it and all the little references that i put in :) also a little aesthetic choice that i tweaked because it’ll end up looking cooler than before - the solder mask and case are now going to be white with the art showing in a black silkscreen (like ulquiorra’s skin in bleach) next up is making the firmware, which shouldn’t take all that long, rendering the model in blender and updating the repo with all production files and the finalised readme!
and that’s the base firmware complete! i made sure all the gpio pins matched their assignment in qmk with the xiao documentation, and now have a (hopefully) functional piece of firmware to test the board with. the firmware also includes encoder functionality and a basic rgb lighting pattern for the leds - although i will be further testing it once i actually physically build it! the firmware does NOT include via functionality OR oled functionality YET - and i will be uploading both the non-oled firmware and the oled + via firmware to the repo when i get around to committing all the files to it. for now - all that’s left is rendering and repo polishing!!
renderring complete! i made 5 renders in blender and i’m really happy with the results, which you can see in the images below. all thats left is finishing off the repo, then i can ship it!!!
and so the design process comes to an end! the readme has been finished and i’m very proud of how it looks - see for yourself in the images :) now to submit the design for funding!!
finished the soldering! not much to say other than now that left is to wait for the 3d printed parts to ship - its looking good!
heat-set all the inserts and bolted the pcb to the case and thats the hackpad done! looks awesome - now all thats left is to ship it :))...

Hey guys, I’m back on the grind and I decided to sit down and go through some of the CSS w3schools course. I’ve made “minor” changes to my personal site but I’m torn whether I should do center text orrrr left side or be unique and go full on right side. I’ll keep working on refining it maybe do a different color scheme because the whole dark mode theme wasn’t working.
