I started to plan the project, i will do a npmjs library with pnpm + tsup
I uploaded the package to: https://www.npmjs.com/package/better-intl v1.0.2
I changed the package to better-intl I uploaded the stable version If you can, star our repo for a better intl pattern in future next.js projects. Thank you.
I did hard changes to the project core improved the DX based on real projects improved the README added a new init script to the library too
I did a fix that ignores “()” folders (nextjs ignores that as routes), DX improvement

spent like 12h getting the blaze3d renderer to work. long story short, the opengl renderer is a mess and I’m doing pretty much a full rewrite to get it to work on blaze3d. it’s taking extremely long but i’m happy because i’m learning a lot about graphics. the core functionality kinda works but there are all sorts of bugs, and a bunch of features are missing. some of them i probably just won’t be adding back. the old opengl renderer used a three shader setup: a coverage shader (establishes positions and colors of each cloud cube) a shading shader (recolors each cloud cube based on saturation, sunlight, and other properties) a depth shader (changes the transparency for each pixel based on how many cubes are overlapping) …wait what, why do you need all that? i assume order-independent transparency? whatever, i’m not doing allat, hopefully a simple cube drawing will work and blaze3d can handle the transparency stuff right now i have just one fragment shader and one vertex shader, basically the rendering setup possible. hopefully i don’t need anything else, considering i’m literally drawing just cubes… p.s. vulkan renderer so cool! performance is a lot better than opengl on my mac p.p.s cool formula: gl_Position = ProjMat * ViewMat * vec4(pos, 1) (ball knowledge required)
the renderer looks good again! i added back the light gradient sampling, so the clouds actually turn orange during sunset and go dark at night time like they used to. btw, I spent like 3 hours reading through https://open.gl/ . it’s a great tutorial, and i applied pretty much all of the graphics concepts i learned to this project! i’m using blaze3d instead of opengl this time, but the concepts still apply. how the algorithm works based on the time of day, it samples a color from this texture , where the white part of the texture produces the bright fluffy daytime clouds, the dark part produces the dark nighttime clouds, and the remaining orange and light blue produce the amazing cloud colors shown in the image during sunset and sunrise! i can’t explain the formula too much in detail, cuz i kinda just copied the math from the old code…
I’m preparing for 26.2 release! I updated the mod to 26.2 pre-4, as well as YACL 3.9.4 which also just came out earlier today. NeoForge is also out but I’m too lazy to setup their custom repo for prerelease builds so I will fix NF support when 26.2 releases. I fixed a really annoying bug that was making the cloud ripple effect way larger in magnitude than it was supposed to be (I sampled WorldPosition instead of WorldPosition - originOffset ) I added a hardcoded minimum brightness in the shader so that clouds will be just barely visible at nighttime. Also GLSL operations are element-wise which is pretty cool! Like you can do max(color.rgb, vec3(0.15)) and each element of the color vector will be element-wise compared with 0.15, and the bigger one will be chosen. Really elegant solution for my minimum brightness operation.
Added option in config screen to choose the renderer, Also added back frustum culling (where clouds don’t render behind the camera) Qendolin’s original algorithm for frustum culling was: compute the bounding box of a section of clouds (clouds are generated in sections with a chunk-like system). if the frustum of the camera (basically an object describing what part of the world the camera can see given a camera angle, position, and fov) can see the clouds, expand the bounding box with the next section of clouds else, render all the sections of clouds we can see, and skip this section if we can’t see it in other words: (original comment from the code) // This algorithm loops over chunks, which are in a line-by-line order. // When a visible chunk is found it's marked as a run start. The run continues until // the next non-visible chunk is found. At the end of a run the entire run is rendered as once. // This is possible due to the memory layout of the instance buffers.
updated to 26.2, and the blaze3d renderer I made works great on vulkan! the renderer was mostly done for weeks now, i just added neoforge back and that was mostly it. Iris was giving me problems as it hasn’t implemented reverse z yet. but i was able to fix that really easily because i kinda know what i’m doing now when touching graphics code! this woulda taken me forever if it were the first time i had to do this. also added longview support to 26.1.2 then declared it end of life
made the celestial body halo much bigger and more visible. i also added separate options for the sun and moon halo, and scaled the moon halo’s size based on the moon phase! also the way I change the halo size is kinda cursed. i’m using qendolin’s superellipse formula, and i only kinda understand how it works. // i still have no idea how this formula works but it seems to work fine float superellipse = ( ( 1.0 + ( 1.0 / 3.0 ) * ( pow ( cos ( 2.0 * projAngle ), 2.0 ))) * haloSize * ( 1.0 - abs ( superellipseFalloff )) - 1.0 ) * sign (- superellipseFalloff ); then i fit an exponential curve based on what halo size i wanted for which moon phase 💀 // larger value = smaller halo size float haloSize = dayTime () < config . shaderPreset (). sunsetEndTime ? 2.05f - config . sunHaloSizeMultiplier : ( float ) ( 5 * Math . pow ( 0.06217 , config . moonHaloSizeMultiplier * DimensionType . MOON_BRIGHTNESS_PER_PHASE [ moonPhase . index ()])); // curve fit for ideal moon halo size based on phase
added a bottom tint option that basically lets you create a gradient on your clouds i’m getting quite familiar with shaders and graphics code! this is one of my main goals for the project, and i’m glad it’s working out well! also fixed a bunch of bugs basic description of the bottom tint algorithm: vertex shader: tint interpolation progress = (y level of the cloud vertex) / (transition range percentage * cloud height range) fragment shader: color = lerp(bottomColor, topColor, tintInterpProgress) by default, the effect is much more subtle than this, but it is still there
Published 1.14.0 release! I renamed “Tint” -> “Top Color”, “Bottom Tint” -> “Bottom Color”, “Bottom Transition Range” -> “Color Transition End” also renamed the options keys too, with a migration thing that migrates the old options keys to the new ones ok ima take a break from this project for now! next up, probably a config system rewrite? i want to implement like discord roles thing, where: you start with a base config given a certain condition (e.g. dimension = minecraft:overworld), certain properties of the config are modified and repeat until you get dynamic clouds with your own defined conditions! or i might not do that idk it sounds kinda complicated
i’ve done what i’ve wanted to do for this project for now! i’ve polished up my devlogs, and gonna ship the project now. here’s a screenshot where i tried to make the clouds look realistic (they’re not supposed to look realistic, so this is very cursed)
I made a few bug fixes and am preparing for 26.3 migration. I also need to make sure the Blaze3D renderer gets feature parity soon. I’m using old reference images like this one to see what the old OpenGL renderer used to be like
Ships:
it’s been roughly 3 months since i’ve taken over the project, and it’s been going great! again, huge thanks to qendolin for letting me maintain his minecraft mod!...

Devlogs:
okay uhhh devlog number one as they say so basically for some actual context ive been making an unblocked games site for a while now- i decided to post it here because i saw this on a discord and… well yeah im here now today i uhhh basically made some slight tweaks to the code, moved a section from the index to a different part of the page, and made it better to not be seen by the filter scanners. lil anti-climactic for the first one but oh well.
devlog number 2 i guess? literally the only new visible thing is the about:blank warning and you can press a to toggle on and off the about:blank cloaking (aka hiding the website in a lil secret-ish window) theres probably gonna be more today but that might be it for now
devlog number 3 perchance so first things first ive been verified so people can see these goofy ahh posts? yay. so uhhhhhh there aren’t really any visible changes however i did re-format most of the code using prettier the other thing i did was actually change some of the links that were blocked to actual unblocked links. probably gonna try to add some games and figure out how in the world i can classify that as time on here okay thats all goobbye
i guess devlog number four so i webported a game i managed to figure out how to get actual time on it it was one of those baldi “numberslop” mods its called hydrogen and yes its on my games section now ok bye
devlog number 4 i guess? im gonna be so honest i didnt even KNOW i had 25 minutes logged - im gonna use them tho! so ive added a couple games- probably mostly just 15% in the top left. i found it here, so i thought i might as well use it heres what my current “web ports” section looks like! of course, there’s a whole lot more games actually there, but these are ones ive ported myself. anyways uhhh you people enjoy the rest of your day and thanks for reading this
devlog numero cinco (5) im making a singlefile. the biggest problem with it’s gonna be that it’s gotta be updated manually and… that’s kinda tough. i could probably make a script that does it for me… to be honest. Problem is, i’ve changed so much that it literally needs to be an EXTREMELY goofy script and would need to figure out how to get all the css and js in there properly. for now, im not even singlefiling it fully. The CSS and JS are in separate files… for now. wish me luck, i guess.
devlog 6 i believe? I did it. It is currently 12:17 AM and I have stuff to do tomorrow. The singlefile has been made successfully. Unfortunately, it only shows one game section because I can’t get the others to show. That will HOPEFULLY be fixed up soon when I get the courage to! Anyways, this was kinda exhausting to make. Goodnight. Here’s the file link. Download it and open it up! https://github.com/BestSpark687090/stupid_singlefile/blob/main/single-min.html
so turns out its devlog 8 time ive been trying so hard to get this singlefile working im gonna be so honest though has anyone asked if i should…? I’m just kidding. This might be useful for later techniques though! Right now, it’s in the linking phase, where all the scripts are linked via actual external JS files. Also, I removed the images that are grabbed weirdly (aka, not from gn-math) and just slapped a image i made in like a minute about how to remove that. in my opinion though… i’m not even sure if i should’ve made this. You gotta do it just because though. Goodnight. (Or whatever, depending on timezones and other things)
the egg in between. (deltarune reference) https://egg.bestspark.org (i’ve been seeing this EVERYWHERE on my tiktok feed so i decided to do a little funny with it)
i made https://bestspark.hackclub.app a valid link! i forgot why i have these 17 minutes of time but im using them now ok bye
I’ve been making a settings page! It’s linked on a gear icon in the bottom right. All colors automatically change when you change them, too! ok byeeee :P
devlog #i have no idea what number this is i’ve been asking ais i have access to (gpt, claude, (i even decided to ask deepseek too, made an account rq)) about what i could fix on my site. image 1: gpt telling me about the games section image 2: gpt - summary of what ive said to it or whatever image 3: deepseek telling me what i should change i could ask more ais but im already wasting enough water as is. thank you for reading
I’m SingleFiling now! this is genuinely going so good!!!!! games even work now! i’m finalizing everything up and will be out soon!!!!
nevermind its not going so good anymore this bug is plaguing the singlefile pieces at least i have an svg maker for it so i can use it like that buuuuuuuuut i gotta fix these bugs first.
well i did it! the singlefile has been made successfully ! yippee! i did a cool thing i guess! i also made a wisp server changing thingy as well but its not visible in the screenshot the “wisp server” is to proxy requests to my server even if it’s blocked in your school example, my school has my website blocked (it got too popular, it was actually unblocked before) so i’d use a different link of mine to view it instead! (the links are in my discord server right here !) have a great morning/evening/night depending on the time you read this
so i set up sparky ai the walmart ai. yeah. its avaliable at any of my links. Username and password is “sparky” it has access to my cart. it can add. people have already added too many things. please just dont add anything for the time being if you jailbreak it please contact me i want to use it okay thank you so much you have a great day
Ships:
Have you ever wanted a game website for school that would… hopefully- be unblocked? well look no further than bestspark.org! this is my personal site, and you can experience it yourself today. it’s not really a… personal site, but I’d call it close enough. there are a BUNCH of games, with a built in cloaking feature (it does it on open, or you can press escape 3 times!) i’ve been working on this project for a while now… and i kinda hope you enjoy it. if you uhh- really want to- you can join my discord at discord.gg/bestspark i guess. (PS: this wasnt started during stardance… but it’s my site. what can you really do about it :P) anyways have fun and uhhh- enjoy the rest of your day/night, person who’s reading this :)
This is my second ship of my unblocked games site. It’s named “BestSpark’s Site” but i named the project bestspark.org because why not. This first image you see? That’s the “cloak” of the site, making it appear harmless at first. Second image is the actual site, by the way. Kinda weird I can’t add more than 2 images… oh well. I do have a bunch of games on it, so why not try it? The link to my discord server is… here if i did that right. I… don’t know and I forget how to actually do it sometimes. I’m shipping now because my school starts in 2 days… and I 100% won’t have time to code and have the time show up here. I think. I hope you have a great rest of your day/night!...

Devlogs:
First devlog of berryOS! This is part of the webOS mission, however I am already pretty experienced in web devving so I kinda improvised on some stuff. I got an app dock, windows, topbar, time and a background!
Sigh….. I got bored I hate vanilla html and javascript, so…. I switched my webOS entirely to SvelteKit. This change should help me add components easier, also can add better stuff, I have also switched from base CSS to TailwindCSS, which is what I’m more used to. What I plan on doing is making every app its own svelte page, making it really easy to add apps. Overall nothing changed for now, I just spent the time porting over to SvelteKit.
Not much was doen apart from porting the gh pages to SvelteKit Was done by making a deploy.yml workflow that builds the website and deploys it to GitHub Pages. Next plan of action is cleaning up desktop to make it more pleasing on the eyes
So, A LOT of time was spent on this, a lot more than I anticipated. Firstly, I added a new settings app (which currently only has like one setting) that uses shadcn’s components for switches, buttons, sliders, etc. This was because I did NOT want to make my own components from scratch. Quick look at the docs, I added my necessary components, and CSS theming. I had a slight issue with setting raw CSS variables on .dark blocks weren’t syncing up properly with unedited shadcn svelte components due to Tailwind’s V4 theme compiler rules. Configuring custom colors directly in the @theme inline block in layout.css seemed to fix this. I also migrated the dock into its own components (Dock.svelte), allowing for better scalability. Overall, pretty happy with this session, as now I can seamlessly add settings, add components, app, and all. The new task is to clean up the desktop, making it more visually appealing to the eyes.
Simple stuff this time around, just made the desktop look more like macOS, will probably edit though so it doesn’t look TOO similar. Will add the ability to change dark/light mode and background next!
(flashbang warning) Light mode! Changes CSS values to respect the theme detection, also tries auto detect light/dark mode based on browser settings. Oh yes also changed up the topbar to look better (looks alot more like macOS now which I may change in the future.)
Alt tabbing (sort of). A lot of this time was spent refactoring the window system to use a windows object. To start off, I tried adding a navigator.connection API to try and identify cellular vs wifi vs ethernet structures, however as of reading the MDN docs it turns out its not a very common API, with Firefox dropping it as of Firefox 31, and Safari never having it in the first place, I ended up switching to the onLine/offLine property, which is supported by all mainstream browsers. Also Alt + tab is currently slightly broken, as it does not yet show a window preview, as well as not properly focusing the chosen window, however this is something I will tackle later on, as I plan on adding custom wallpaper support now.
Custom desktop and accent colors! I added a modular color picker component in the Personalization settings panel. Clicking a preset or using the native eye-dropper custom color tool instantly updates buttons, icons, switches, and highlights across the entire OS. I also implemented a FileReader data-stream pipeline. Users can upload any .jpg, .png, or .webp file from their local machine, converting it to a base64 string to update the active desktop background immediately. Also, if a user doesn’t have a custom wallpaper, the default desktop gradient now intelligently samples the chosen accent color, blending a low-opacity hue directly into the dark/light background.

I’ve been working on creating a bedrockR installer in C#, this will be cross-platform, and it will be released with each version, handling installing, and i also might add a way to run it without installing
it took a long time, but i finally figured out how to style the ui, and i recreated the bedrockR style. (the versions page will be fixed soon)
Im back to working on this, stopped using visual studio because it was horrible, now im using Jetbrains Rider. Ive implemented some methods to get releases from the github, so now im gonna implement them.
Progress is going faster than before now that im using Rider now, I have made an API for getting the versions, instead of using the latest.json file in the github, and now im using it in the installer, and next hotfix i’ll use it for bedrockR updating. Oh and bedrockR 1.3.1 is finally out now… i guess i forgot to upload the release assets when i published it…
devlog 1 Alright, I’m actually resuming normal development. I’M NOT MAKING THAT INSTALLER. I expect to be doing a bunch of code clean, now that I have even MORE experience with java. I also MIGHT continue on the android version. slack channel for more updates
devlog 2, again i kinda forgot to mention this… but im completely redoing the resource system…. oh wait i already did yea i thought i said this last devlog, but cleaned more code, and redid most of the program again. Resources instead of saving to one json file with the files, now save in a structured directory system, that you can see in the screenshot. (its actually a full workspace, but you get the idea.) Right now, you can’t convert older workspaces to these new resource system one, but thatll be worked on later. Time to do some ui! (also i did more code cleaning, and i renamed a ton of stuff)
devlog 3, this is why you write clean code early ok so the dreaded day has finally come… The largest class in this program, RElementValue is finally being cleaned up. devlog 4 pssst, hey i have a slack channel if you want more dev things im not rewriting everything i said again, stardance utils deleted this whole thing, instead ill give you 1 sentence bullet points: i redid the recipe screen wow it was so bad redid launch page mmm smooth animation also did a bunch of random ass things that i cant explain cause they were mostly like 1 line of code being altered… also, stardance utils doesn’t edit this textbox correctly, so below should be the changelog v Changelog make this appear on the right screen ( 6d8b140 ) make the recipe creation screen better ( 0660edd ) make this smooth ( 52e32fb ) clean ( 8e86c27 ) fix the positioning ( 2c88991 ) Bump gradle-wrapper from 9.6.1 to 9.7.0 ( 928260d ) clean, make help button a class ( 2fc07dc ) make windows open on the current screen the mouse is on ( 23ee12f ) add more greetings, and make it a record ( 6bbee27 ) fix where windows open ( f33af46 )

Basically I resuscitated my old 2013 macbook pro with Arch Linux, but was kinda upset it didn’t have touch ID like my current one does. Long story short: I decided to try to build a form of biometric authentication based on typing patterns, with the idea that this makes passwords safer. I started with a web demo in HTML/CSS/JS, mostly cuz I know those already and I rlly just wanted to figure out how this thing was gonna work without dealing with syntax errors every five mins. It only took me abt an hour to get this web demo working which was nice. Unfortunately it’s not too polished (sorry abt that), cuz the focus was getting it working on Linux. Then I started coding in C, which in and of itself ain’t awful cuz I work with C++ regularly. Thing is, you can’t just take input normally, so I sent a couple hours going down a rabbithole of getting keyboard events directly from /dev/input/ (the low-level kernel events basically). Ironically, the part that screwed me over the most was the part I hoped would be rlly easy. Turns out that writing protected files from a hidden root process brings with it a lot of security considerations, so I had to get AI to help me build smthn that was acc secure instead of the half-baked security nightmare fuel I built. I spent wayy too long on that and compiler errors, but I digress… Anyways, after going through a couple of iterations of integration hell with the PAM library, I got it working on Linux. Building the Makefile and installation scripts wasn’t too difficult (especially compared to C cough cough ). Add a README and a MIT License, and we’re good to go Basically, the result is a functional biometric typing pattern authenticator that can be installed on Linux (instructions in the README). Currently I’ve got it set up to still fallback to the default PAM (just in case yk), but it is possible to set it as the sole PAM if you want to (see the experimental section of the README). No idea if people will actually wanna use it, but I had fun building it. Hope y’all like it too :) P.S. For all the Mac users, I found out you can use touch ID to authenticate sudo on MacOS. Here’s the guide if you wanna try. Works like a charm for me"}]...
