I worked on the index.html file and am going to add styling with CSS.
I didn’t spend too much time on styling since it has fixed payout but I added background colors for the body, navigation bar and for each section. I also changed the font. For each section, I also have rounded solid borders
I added grids to show images of my favorite things! I also linked multiple websites.

Depending on how well you know the objective and map layout, it is very possible to finish the game on the first go around and never spin the wheel, and because of the time constraint we couldn’t play test to find out if the game really is as easy as we found it. Anyone reading this should keep that in mind, and I apologize if the game is too hard/easy. One of my favorite parts of this game is the art. Even though the art is rough and not integrated completely well, different pixel sizes and all that, I still think it's really cool. My friend was the one who made all the art and he did so in blender, exporting those models and animations into a pixel art program where he did some touch-ups then sent them to me in engine. He has a very unique style, with vibrant colors and textures. I can't really explain it past that, so I'll put in a picture which will do all the explaining. Another thing I'm proud of is the backend for the wheel spinning mechanic. It essentially boils down to a bunch of lists, and that is exactly what is so good about it, because it allows for very easy additions and changes to the game. One pitfall of us starting the game so late is that things like GUI design and audio design were put on the back burner until we finished the actual game-loop, which happened to be around 4 hours or so before the 2am deadline. Because of this, one of the scoring criteria, audio, was basically non-existent, save for a song my friend whipped up. Dev Log 1 Joined Stardance at the start of June — now it’s about to end. Spent a month learning a language that took its developer 10 days to prototype! Finally shipped my first JS project: a Slack bot. Still a bash loyalist at heart, so I built a CLI parser (a minimal implementation) that lets users interact with the bot like a command-line tool. I’ve added a /summarize command to help me triage unread messages across Slack. The dopamine hit of shipping this without blindly dumping AI-generated code was unmatched — the kind of serotonin you only get from debugging your own stack traces at 1 AM. And somewhere along the way, I learned to collaborate with the weirdo.
Devlog 2 Turns out one AI provider isn’t enough — so I added OpenAI support to the /summarize command via the -model flag. The interesting part wasn’t the API call itself. It was realising that Gemini and OpenAI have completely different request formats — different URLs, different auth methods, different JSON body structures. So I had to refactor the whole AI section: pulled the Gemini logic into its own askGemini() function, then built an askOpenAI() twin next to it. Finally SSHed into Hack Club’s server, set the bot up as a systemd service, and now it just… runs. 24/7.
Devlog 3 Built an OAuth server using Express so users can install the bot into their own Slack workspaces via an “Add to Slack” button. Got a shallow knowledge on how OAuth works and learnt how to build a express server to catch the code and proceed with OAuth Deployed it as a second systemd daemon on Hack Club’s server. Now both the bot and the OAuth server run 24/7 without my laptop being on.

I did the PCB for the project. I found a solution to the layout, by making the battery sit under the PCB, not in line with it. I also did the traces, but that was pretty straigthforward. I added a silkscreen with what goes where, and a little decoration.
I made the CAD for the project. I made the whole board in Fusion 360, and after designed a case around everything. The case turned out good I think, I went with a pretty open design, with the buttons being easily accessible for ease of use. I wrote an Update UI function to update balance, and prces of the purchasable Items. I created a topbar and added three new panels: Employee tab, Knives tab, Drinks tab, and Research Tab. I added a scrollbar to these panels so that when I add more items, they will fit in. I used object oriented programming in C# to create Employee and Knife objects, having their own variables. I completed the frontend and backend of the Employee tab and Knives tab. When you buy these items, the prices and levels of that item increase accordingly, and prices increase exponentially. I created a function so that when your balance is lower than the price of that item, its button becomes unclickable and its color fades. There is passive kebab income. So I also adjusted the update UI function. Now it updates the UI 5 times a second. This way, the balance count became smoother, and items become interactable without clicking the kebab with passive income. I coded the backend of employee and knife panels for now. When you buy a knife, it increases Kebab per click, and when you buy an employee, it increases Kebab per second. In a couple of days, I plan to code the research and drinks tab. I also want to add pop-up panels that will give a description for each purchasable item (like knives or employee) so that I can bring my game a little story and fun."}]...

Hello! I made a physics simulator for oscillating systems, called Harmonique. Some challenging aspects were keeping the physics mathematically exact without external engines o. Thank you for reading. Byee!...

Devlogs:
Created scripts to add spells, enemies, and characters. Modified character select screen to support more characters. Made example mod to showcase framework features.
Added custom intents, put custom enemies in phonebook, added mod settings menu. Replaced the paparazzi with aqua who has uses the custom intents and has her own unique projectile physics and sounds
Make knife throwing animation faster and made the wooden slash attack into a chain knife attack that hits all the top and bottom tiles. Released version 1.4.2 on github. (cut out the parts of the video where it took me a while to find a good word to play)
Added a tile effect loader to add new tile affects. To the example mod, added the tile effect negative, which multiplies tile value by -1 and the spell Inverter which alternates between making a tile negative and crit.
Its very hard to see, but the shadow of the text can now also have it’s color changed. The second picture has a more visible shadow color

Project: I created a Personal Productivity Dashboard with a minimal organized display designed to serve as a template when opening a New Tab. Key features include a personal quote (picked a personal one instead of motivational one) at the top of the page reminding myself to be present as well as a two column display to maximize space usage on the tab. The left column includes an embedded google search bar which links the search into a new tab when entered, a dynamic clock which syncs to your clock’s local time to update every second, a date display, and quick links for common developer tools. The right column is the planning/productivity section where you can set your main focus for the day at the top. Right below this you can ask daily tasks/goals in your todo section which can be marked as complete through the checkbox or removed from the list with the X. Challenges? The main challenge I ran into was fitting the display efficiently in a way that could fit on a single screen without having to scroll up or down. I initially opted for a single centered column displaying everything vertically. However, I quickly realized that this method extended past the screen very quickly and also wasted a lot of space on the sides. Another issue was that the moment I began adding more tasks, the dashboard would extended further and further downwards. This is why I took a dual column display approach to maximize the horizontal space available, saving the vertical overflow. I also included a max-height setting for the todo list with an auto overflow restriction so that adding multiple tasks would create a mini scrolling page within the todo section instead of extending the dashboard page downwards. Success? I was able to implement all my features into this display screen. I am notably proud of the todo section which includes the completion checkbox feature to strikethrough the goal when marked as complete. Additionally I created the option to delete goals if needed. This, alongside the clock and date display, was the main use of my script.js file. The clock feature were created by extracting the local time on the computer, formatting everything to 2 digits (ex: 06 instead of 6), displaying it as the time and updating it every second. The todo list first initialised by retriving existing tasks from localStorage or defaults to an empty array, adds new tasks when the enter key is pressed with eventListener, changes the state of the task depending on if it is completed or deleted and removes accordingly, and finally the task list updates in localStorage where it can be retrieved when needed.", "repo": "https://github.com/TheChessSagittarius/Productive-Tab", "demo": "https://thechesssagittarius.github.io/Productive-Tab/"}]...

The rendering engine consists of a bunch of math to render all tiles relative to eachother in a cool way to make it look 3D, complete with a simple API to interface with it and full 360 Degree rotation support! To be fully ready for the ship, I need to do the following: expand the API a bit more make and render a couple more demo tiles make a simple demo project to show off the awesome functionality I made! make some docs I also do currently have my character and action systems in the works, but I will remove those from the demo and will not include those in the docs for now since those are goals for the next two ships I’ll do. “oh my god he’s actually being productive…” - the random person in the mirror"}, {"post_id": 56759, "ts": "2026-08-28T17:22:57Z", "hours": 2.7228, "text": "CLEAR ENGINE Devlog #3 wait… what happened to CLEAR? The scope of this project is way more than something doable in the duration remaining of Stardance. Luckily there’s some good news! I am a pretty skilled coder, so I decided to just take everything I have so far and turn it into a framework that anyone can use to make their cool 3D-ish turn-based games for the playdate! (I know, very mainstream right?) so that’s the new goal: I need to unify all of my different APIs into one usable API I need to make docs 😭 I need to add some features like A working state system with a planning, action, and response phase. The best part is, that’s with the FPS cap set to 30, so I bet I can push 40, or maybe even optimize it enough to get 50! I also added distance sorting, so the tiles that are the farthest away from the “camera” get drawn first and so forth so that everything appears normal when overlapping. CLEAR Devlog #1! so what actually is CLEAR? CLEAR is an isometric (ish) turn-based action strategy game that is essentially a cross between Ready Or Not and Tactical Breach Wizards (would 10/10 recommend). The game flow is something like this: Your turn! you can: Move any of your teammates Do any of your characters’ actions that you can do based on their mana and turn levels Then you end your turn and the enemy plays: They will move, attack, and use abilities to try to defeat your team Repeat! (until either your team is wiped out, the objective is complete, or all enemies are defeated) Features: Fog of war! You can’t see anything your characters can’t actively see. Multiple missions multiple selectable characters to build your team Arco inspired skill tree Cool 1-Bit artstyle Oh, and did I mention it’s (for now) EXCLUSIVELY for the https://play.date ! Right now I have spent my time working on the rendering engine, that should be done by the next one! (optimization sucks… sigh )
CLEAR Devlog #2 The Tile Rendering Engine is DONE!* * hopefully Now, tiles can render next to each other with no issues, and with 8 tiles in the scene while spinning it manages a SOLID 30FPS!!! The best part is, that’s with the FPS cap set to 30, so I bet I can push 40, or maybe even optimize it enough to get 50! I also added distance sorting, so the tiles that are the farthest away from the “camera” get drawn first and so forth so that everything appears normal when overlapping. Finally, I also completely restructured the entire game so far and moved all the tile stuff to it’s own file, to declutter my main.lua script.
CLEAR ENGINE Devlog #3 wait… what happened to CLEAR? So CLEAR was going to be a turn-based strategy game based on Ready Or Not combined with Tactical Breach Wizards, but I realized two things: I can’t make good art. period. Better art importing systems An easy character making system via custom lua files A demo for the ship more stuff I don’t really want to do!
PREPARING FOR FIRST SHIP!!! I’m gonna ship the first part of CLEAR-ENGINE, the rendering engine! After thinking about this for a while, I decided I want to ship my beautiful framework in multiple parts, with multiple stages of completion, and the first part is basically done! “oh my god he’s actually being productive…” - the random person in the mirror
BASICALLY READY TO SHIP!!! I whipped up a quick demo that generates a 5x5 random room that you can spin around with the crank! I also implemented some basic docs using markdown to explain the basic usage of the API! (the docs are very simple rn, but I encourage you to actually read some of the source code and modify it to suit your needs if you feel you need a special feature out of it or just want more understanding to how it works) I just gotta make the README actually READable, Make a demo video, and clean up the documentation a little more and then profit!
More API Docs and functions! I improved the API docs and also added the following functions to the tile rendering system: CLEAR.tiles.clearTileSystem() clears the initialized tile system CLEAR.tiles.hideTile(tx, ty, value) sets the hidden value for the tile at tx , ty to value (a boolean) CLEAR.tiles.isHidden(tx, ty) returns the hidden value for the tile at tx , ty as a boolean CLEAR.tiles.removeTile(tx, ty) removes the tile at tx , ty from the tile system I also added a simple check to all the CLEAR.tiles functions to make sure the tilesystem is initialized before they run to prevent errors.
Ships:
CLEAR-ENGINE is a easy-to-use framework for making 3D turn-based strategy games, or at least 3D isometric-ish tile-based games. I originally made this because I wanted to make a videogame that was a cross between tactical breach wizards and ready or not, but I realized it was way out of scope for a small project and so I decided to make this awesome...

Learning esp32 basics through PlatformIO, VSCode and wokwi simulator as I wait for my parts to arrive. I spent most my time setting up the wokwi simulator and made a simple LED flash.
Connected a 0.96 OLED display. All virtual, still waiting for my components to arrive.
Still waiting for components, Wokwi simulator is causing some headaches.
Wrote a little library to make writing code for games easier by making button inputs quicker to write and make drawing circles and rectangles easier. My parts have landed in my countries airport so I hope to have them soon.
Made a little screen saver and simple menu, parts have cleared customs so they should be arriving within a few days.
Parts finally arrived, been doing some testing of screen, buttons etc. Broke my sd card module but found a workaround by soldering pins to a MicroSD card to SD card adapter. Been working on file system and game/music selection.
Bought a new SD card reader IC as my DIYed solution did not work. It came two days ago, still didn’t work. After some headaches got it to work.
Finished making the software and spent the last week soldering everything together, bit messy but everything works. I will try to make a case for it but I don’t have a 3d printer so it may be made out of cardboard.
Made a simple website and ironed out some bugs
