It was my first experience with KiCad ofcourse after the tutorials I watched. I was well kinda confused the software is hard to get familiar to for me. I designed the wings to be printed in spiral vase mode which was also a pain cuz the slicer just kept putting holes in my wing which is super annoying. There are still some jagged edges on the trailing edge, but I have given up with trying to fix that. The fixed model to hair loss ratio was just not worth it. . The tail was designed to have built in hinges which worked surprisingly well with just PLA. they just need a bit of a wiggle and they worked fine (slightly stiff but still usable). . I printed the whole plane in LW PLA and the wing root plus the tail in normal PLA for a bit more strength, but looking at it; I think the wing root would work just fine in LW PLA and that would save another 10 grams. . The motor I am using right now is not great for the purpose of this aircraft, because it is designed for efficiency, but it is the only one I have lying around right now. I will swap it out with something more suitable for this aircraft in the future when further developing this plane."}]...

This entire project is supposed to be a replacement for a basic macropad that I have to control my room lights. I recently started using home assistant to control my lights, and with it I started experimenting with presets. I ended up with 6 presets for my room, ranging from totally off to maxxed out. This dial uses magnets to create indents between each preset, and uses a hall effect sensor to detect its position. ESP-Home then uses that position to report a number from 1-6 to home assistant, which a home assistant automation then uses to activate a specific preset. Currently, I am trying to add space for a stepper motor and driver, in order to position the dial depending on what preset is currently active, as I am planning to have multiple of these across my room and also to be able to still control lights over the home assistant ui. Modified Stepper Motor Cavity and Adjusted Other Tolerances I already made a decent bit of this before this, but Lapse didn’t publish it properly so this is now my first devlog. This entire project is supposed to be a replacement for a basic macropad that I have to control my room lights. I recently started using home assistant to control my lights, and with it I started experimenting with presets. I ended up with 6 presets for my room, ranging from totally off to maxxed out. This dial uses magnets to create indents between each preset, and uses a hall effect sensor to detect its position. ESP-Home then uses that position to report a number from 1-6 to home assistant, which a home assistant automation then uses to activate a specific preset. Currently, I am trying to add space for a stepper motor and driver, in order to position the dial depending on what preset is currently active, as I am planning to have multiple of these across my room and also to be able to still control lights over the home assistant ui. I know this is an overly complicated setup, but I like complicated things....
