Today, i did some research about making an mp3 player and i started working on the usb and esp32 s3 part of it.
I worked on the usb serial programming part and on the battery charger, ldo and usb receptacle.
Today, i worked on completing the schematic by adding the e-ink display,sd card slot and pcm50102a. the schematic is 90 % complete and needs connection of pcm50102a with esp32 s3 and organization of schematics. Thanks!
Today, I started checking the schematics for errors, fixing them and arranging them neatly. Then, I assigned footprints to all components using the help of gemini. Lasty i imported the components to pcb editor.
Today, i worked on grouping the parts together. I grouped all parts together and i will be doing its layout and routing tommorow....

(thankfully) What’s new SO most of my effort has been put into making the 4th level so not much has been added Created and finished the 4th minigame Collect 8 stars in under 20 seconds, dodge the meteors (meteor icon hasn’t been drawn yet 💔) Minor bug fixes Appreciation section As I was making this minigame I saw that @lantyrn created a minigame similar to this! Their project really helped me fix my signal connecting issues cause I genuinely had no idea what I was doing. So, thank you latyrn for your amazing project (Starry Scramble) – Go check it out it’s really cool and well made! To-do Draw icons for meteor and new star icons Also finish making sprite animation while I’m at it Figure out how to fade out music using tweens Draw some more backgrounds Make the game more enjoyable to play! If you have any suggestions, let me know. That’s it for now. Until next time!
Star-Catcher - Last Devlog “Catch the Stars!” - Game made for the WarioWare Mission Background info It’s been a looong time since the last devlog. Honestly, I’ve been thinking about this project for awhile now, but I’ve decided to ship this project. What’s new Made the meteor icon for 4th minigame Animations!!!! Meteor animation New sprite walking animation! Minor bug fixes Extra info Thanks for everyone who enjoyed my devlogs and this project, It was really nice seeing you guys enjoy it! I wish I could’ve added more to this game, but I’m happy with how it ended up. Maybe one day I’ll return to this game. Thank you for reading. Until next time!

Dev-Log 1 So I locked in for like 40 min and made a cool landing page and also it has time in the side and also a cool starting pop up and also the best part is that it has free promotion by having a link in the pop up for my TY - https://www.youtube.com/@CKInnovates - So that is that it was fun and I used tony stark workshop as the BG
Dev Log 2 Made a app to show all of my most recent projects i only addes 2 becouse it took a bit to add and overall it looks good and it works good
Dev Log 3 - Done (Yay) Added two new apps to WebOS: a simple calculator and a browser (powered by an iframe cool:) I also hid a Easter egg and polished the overall UI and i made github read me and also I have it ready to ship
Dev Log 4 I added a Notes app, Music app, Settings app, and Weather app to my WebOS. They were all simple to build, and I chose “Life Goes On” by Oliver Tree for the music app because I like the song.

The new character design features aerodynamic lines, a high-mounted rear spoiler, Goodyear-style racing slicks, and custom race decals. To make the garage look seamless, every character mood (happy, hungry, sad, sick, sleepy) was re-rendered on isolated transparent backgrounds. A smooth cross-fading system was implemented in the code so when Thunder’s state drops or recovers, the visuals morph fluidly without any clunky image snapping. With the core visuals locked in, the garage environment and pit crew system were expanded to give players more active control over Thunder’s stats. A brand-new tire service mechanic was added, requiring strategic pit stops to keep the race setup performing at its peak alongside the refuel, rest, and engine repair actions. The entire dashboard UI was also overhauled, featuring retro neon gauge tracks, critical low-stat warning alerts, and real-time state detection that reacts immediately to how well Thunder is cared for.The biggest chunk of the build session went into completely rewriting the Race Mode mini-game engine from the ground up. The basic track was replaced with an updated racing canvas that supports fresh map layouts, sharper cornering, and refined driving physics—including custom acceleration curves, drifting feedback, and off-track sand hazards. To make the track feel alive, dynamic AI competitor cars were added to weave around, along with a lap-timing system that tracks split times, triggers flash effects on new laps, and saves your absolute best lap and race records. At all. I started out building Thunder McKing in Python. Made a whole Pet class, got the stats working — hunger, happiness, energy, health — even had a game loop ticking away. Spent a good few hours on it, honestly thought I was close to done. Then I hit a wall. Python is great for logic but the moment I wanted to actually show the pet on screen with images and buttons and stuff, it got complicated fast. I had these five custom illustrations of a little race car — happy, sad, hungry, sleepy, sick — and I really wanted them front and centre, not just some text in a terminal. So I made the call to scrap the Python build and switch to JavaScript + HTML. Bit of a painful decision after all that time, but the right one. JS just made way more sense for what I was actually trying to make — a proper interactive game you can open in a browser, tap buttons, see the car react. The rebuild went quicker than expected. I carried over all the core logic from my Python project — the stat system, the decay loop, the health penalty when hunger gets too low — and rewrote it in JS. Then built the UI around it: four action buttons (Refuel, Race, Rest, Fix Up), animated stat bars that pulse red when critical, and the car image swapping dynamically based on whatever state he’s in. If he’s hungry you see the hungry car. If he’s about to die you see the sick one. Little details like that make it feel alive. Got it running with Live Server in VS Code which was a nice workflow — save the file, browser updates instantly. Biggest lesson from this whole thing: don’t get too attached to your first approach. The Python version wasn’t wasted time — it helped me figure out the logic before I built the real thing. Sometimes you have to build it wrong first. BUT…. After an initial review after shipping I received feedback to change that overly AI generated look, and to change that up I decided to make the UI a bit more “Radiator Springs” vibe with that rustic Route 66, dusty desert, neon signs, cracked asphalt, the whole look to bring the simulator together. Dev Log - Final Log So this project did NOT go how I planned. At all. I started out building Thunder McKing in Python. Made a whole Pet class, got the stats working — hunger, happiness, energy, health — even had a game loop ticking away. Spent a good few hours on it, honestly thought I was close to done. I tried to make a small mini game inside, and instead of an infinite road sim, i made a small track where you have to control a small 8-bit version of Thunder around the circuit and race him to victory!
Today was a massive 5-hour grind, completely transforming the game from a basic pet project into a much deeper, higher-octane experience. The primary focus was a complete design overhaul for Thunder McKing, ditching the old look in favor of a modern, aggressive NASCAR stock car. The new character design features aerodynamic lines, a high-mounted rear spoiler, Goodyear-style racing slicks, and custom race decals. Dev Log — Styling & Code Refactor CSS Redesign: I just realised I used the wrong images in my last dev log, but overall I slightly updated and polished the project’s CSS for a cleaner look and better UI responsiveness. Code Optimisation: Rewrote and refactored previous AI-generated code snippets to ensure every part of the codebase is 100% my own work.

Started making the schematic for the keyboard! I decided to go with the popular XIAO nRF52840 module, since it has wireless capabilities. The big problem for me was trying to manage my GPIO’s, since for 5 rows and 5 columns I need 10 GPIO’s, + a battery sensor, which is 11 gpio’s total (MCU max), but I was looking forward to adding sk6812mini-e leds. But I discovered that the nRF52840 has a battery sensor integrated so that would free up the necesary gpio for the leds. Another problem I had was trying to manage the button count, I was constantly switching from 6 rows, 4 columns to 5 rows 5 columns, and so on. I decided to use a 5x5 layout but leave one row (lowest one) with 3 thumb keys, which would be space, Lctrl, and LAlt. For the diodes, I decided to go with the classic 1N5819, and for the switches I decided to use the Kailh hotswap footprints.
Today I completed the left half of my split keyboard! I had a bit of a problem with the LED model I was going to use, since I was planning to sue the SK6812MINI-e, but discovered that it actually needs 5V to work, which is bad since we only have 3.7V coming from a 1S LiPo Battery. So, I switched to its 3mA counterpart “SK6803MINI-E” which can operate at 3.4V instead of 5. Routing wasn’t that much of a problem, a few vias usually fixed the problem. I still don’t know about the battery pads, I feel like they shouldn’t go where they are (maybe they are too close to the edge?). But apart from that, everything is ok! Now I just have to make the right side of the keyboard
Almost finished with the second half of the split keyboard! I spent most of my time fighting with KiCad’s UI and trying to get the measurements of the board right, at some point I made the mistake of making the board 11.75cm and not the 11.73cm it was supposed to be (took me like 40 minutes to try and fix it), so all the wires and stuff had to be moved and replaced. I want to make each side of the board click somehow? Like not actually click but something like giving the illusion that you can merge them. Right now I still have to check the DRC for errors + some power routing I forgot on the right side. I’m also thinking about adding some silkscreen designs to some of the free spaces on the board, so it doesnt look empty.
PCB Finished!!! I am SUPER happy because I finished the split keyboards PCB! Though I had to redo some parts because I got confused with the footprints, so like an hour wasted right there because of a small mistake. Long story short , the LCSC SK6803 MINI-E footprint was NOT right, I discovered that all the leds in the SK series are reverse mounted (the LCSC was not), meaning that every single led in my pcb was wrong, and therefore, every single trace tied to it . I’ll see later.
Design time!!!!! 🌠🌠 Ok, so I didnt have much time to work on the split keyboard because I had to study for a LOT of tests. Usually before I desing something in fusion 360, I like to sketch it out first, I usually do it on my phone, but I decided to give figma a shot for this project. I probably took more time trying to figure out how properly use figma, I made some very messy stuff in it. I had two main ideas while working: First idea : Left → Wave Right → Beach But the little fleck that a wave has at the back would be bothersame while gaming. Thats why its good to sketch it out first! Because if I had gone with my first idea immediately in fusion, I would’ve had to design all over again because I would’ve noticed the bad fleck- So now all thats left is to design the CAD!
(Almost) Finished making the bottom plate of the left side of my split keyboard!! As soon as I started modeling the plate, I realized I’m incredibly slow and bad at CAD, It took me almost 3 hours just to do it. Rewatching my recordings, I was probably anxious and kind of confused about the measurements and how the stackup will be. Hoepfully with the other plates I take less (I already know what to do). Another thing: I’m going to see what’s up with the hours I logged becasue according to stardance I’ve worked 4, but when I look at my lapse it only sums up to around 3 hours, so I’m going to ask in slack.
Finished the left splits components! Today I finished polishing the bottom part of the split, like adding the battery wire hole, and screw holes. I also made the top part of the split! I used the color stackup I said I was going to use in my figma sketch, mainly dark tones of blue. I also added white arrows (which appear in the TW title screen) on a little raised platform, and a few little bubbles as extra deco). An import change I made was changing the screws from M3 → M2, since the M2 are smaller and leave more space for clearances. Now all thats left is to make the assembly design of it! That means every single screw, key, keycap, heatset insert. And after that would come the right split and firmware!
Right side CAD complete!! As planned in my figma sketch, I went with the beach themed right side split, I even added little starfish in that little empty space in the bottom right. I also decided to keep the dent that the left side has, that way they look symmetrical. Plus, I made a lid for the battery compartment with corresponding colors for each one! Now all thats left is to make the assembly! Shouldnt take long. I think I’ll do three designs: One for the left, the other for the right, and a 3rd one where both of them are together (for the picture!)
Hi everyone!! Sorry for not devolging in like what, more than 2 weeks? I just haven’t had a lot of time lately, had to study for a lot of test + school dances, ect, etc, etc. This means not a lot has happened these days, I’ve mainly been doing the assembly (which is almost completed) + modifying some parts bercause they didnt fit. I had a huge derail on this project, because I thought that each keycap had a litte 1mm spacing in between them, turn out that was definitely not true, so I had to work +3 hours to fix all that in the board and CAD. (I wish I had known that sooner! 😭) Trying to find keycaps for it is an actual PAIN, I really cant find 3u keycaps for DSA, so I had to improvise (just scaled a 1u horizontally, all add in the stumps later) *Right side is still in process! Also the enter key is kinda off scale, have to look into that.
Finished assembly!! Mainly took a bit longer on it because I had to fix some model errors, but apart from that everything went smoothly, the keyboard case is done! Also started working on the code, which is actually pretty simple, since im just following the zmk firmware guide.
Finished the zmk code! Hi! Today I just added missing features like bluetooth, rgb, and battery level, though it took me a while because I constantly got lost in the guide and didnt understand what I was reading (especially the bluetooth part). Now all thats left is the bom and the github repo!
Finished debugging my code! It took a suprisingly long time since I had to wait like 5 minutes in between fixing sessions (16 git pushes!) to determine where the error is, though it was mainly syntax errors here and there.
Started making the BOM! Probably the thing that shocked me most were the Cherry MX2A prices (20 dollars for 36 keys!), so I tried hunting for the best key-value deal. In the end I settled for a 29 dollar 70 pcs on Aliexpress (cheapest option)
Almost done with the BOM! I think all the components are listed, except the keycaps, I’m going to do that tommorow. A lot of weird stuff are there, for example, only using 4 screws but the bundle is 100pcs (even though its the cheapeast)
Finished BOM! Probably the most painful things to find were the 3u and ISO enter keycaps(30$ shipping), so I decided to ask my supplier for the case parts if he could also print the iso enter keycap (he said yes, so yay). I reduced the 3u to 2.75u since its easier to get. I decided that the enter should be the only 3d printed part, since regular keycaps last longer than 3d printed ones. Now I need to make a README! I made a little gif for it (stardance for some reason cant load it).
I added a 2nd set of washers to my assembly, I noticed that there could be vertical wobble since there IS 2.75mm gap between the pcb and the insert, so I reduced that to .75mm (basically nothing). That way, the pcb is kinda sandwiched between the spacers. Also another thing, for some reason my hackatime timed sessions are around 10-20 min slonger than the lapse one, which I find weird! I asked in slack but they told me there is nothing to do about it....

Changes: Added a top bar, which includes a Canadian Maple Leaf in-line with the text “Canadian Mortgage Calculator.” Changed the font and font sizes of the text, inputs, and buttons. The button is now red with white text. The payment per period is now displayed either on the right (if the screen is wide enough) or below the inputs. The Mortgage Amount, Down Payment, Loan-to-Value, and Insurance Premium are also displayed. A 25% transparent white background surrounds both the form and input to allow the user to see the necessary information. Added a background image (image of housing, source: Bank of Canada) Next steps: Start of NHA MBS calculator (which has not been built by anyone yet!)"}, {"post_id": 55633, "ts": "2026-08-27T16:24:55Z", "hours": 1.7978, "text": "Devlog 1 Using vite in my Andromeda project (from the Give your Website a Pulse project) really helped as I managed to install it for this project as well! In Canada, the CMHC only offers a Mortgage Calculator and provides only documentation for the NHA MBS calculation; however, I am going to try and change that by creating one. I started off this project by creating a Mortgage Calculator that would take the Home Price , Down Payment on the Home , Annual Interest Rate , Amortization Period , Payment Frequency , and having a small checkbox for whether or not the Down Payment was non-traditional. I started this project by using HTML, CSS, and JS . In the HTML portion, I used the form , label , and input elements with IDs to ask for the information listed above, and then on the JavaScript side, I used the .getElementById method to retrieve the information. I also added various calculations to the project for me to figure out CMHC’s premium amount (more information regarding CMHC’s premium can be found here ) and the mortgage payment per period specified by the user. Changes: Added inputs for the user to type in values for Home Price , Down Payment , Annual Interest Rate , Amortization Period , Payment Frequency , and whether or not the down payment is non-traditional. Added calculations in the background (the premium amount and mortgage payment per period are displayed in the console). The favicon has changed from being the vite default. Devlogs:
Devlog 1 Using vite in my Andromeda project (from the Give your Website a Pulse project) really helped as I managed to install it for this project as well! Next steps: Check the accuracy of the calculator by comparing it to the CMHC Mortgage Calculator that they provide (preliminary tests show that it is accurate to the hundredths place). Add CSS and other formatting. Start the NHA MBS part of the project Disclaimer : This is an independent, unofficial software implementation and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by CMHC.
Devlog 2 This past approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes was used mainly for two things: Test out the accuracy of the calculator by comparing it to CMHC’s existing mortgage calculator. Adding some styles to it. Added a background image (image of housing, source: Bank of Canada) Next steps: Start of NHA MBS calculator (which has not been built by anyone yet!)...

You basically enter a date, and it pulls the Astronomy Picture of the Day, DSCOVR’s full-disk Earth imagery, solar flare records, and exoplanet discoveries from that exact day. There are three ways (for now) that it can arrive: a cinematic scroll, a storybook you turn page by page, or a wax-sealed letter the recipient opens. If you are testing it, try the Letter template. It’s the one I put the most effort into. The hardest part wasn’t the features. It was making it fast enough to be worth sending. A page was loading around 20 MB on mobile because the APOD indexer was storing print resolution masters (some over 15 MB!). Also, every page load was fetching four complete NASA archives just to display one day. So, I basically ended up sharding all four into 366 files keyed by month and day. So, a January 20 birthday fetches 01-20.json instead of the whole thing. That took the data payload from 3,210 KB to 47 KB, and the page from 20 MB to around 1 MB. The thing I’m most pleased with is something small. I found out that NASA’s own metadata is wrong more often than you would expect. Entries labelled as images that are actually videos, with a play button baked into the still. One APOD entry is an animated GIF of a full lunar cycle and any thumbnail extracted from it came out solid black because the first frame is a new moon. Getting those right took a lot longer than building the templates did. If you want to test it properly: pick a date before 2000 to see how it handles years the archive doesn’t fully cover and share a gift link somewhere so you can see the recipient view. A unique HTML website on Sprint Cars, I’m trying to implement a whole lot of cool effects to make this look modern. Currently I’m relearning CSS for this project, so at the moment it does not look the best.
I added a functional dropdown menu for the table of contents. I also added a home button on the history page, and made a few hover effects such as a shadow and its color to change when a cursor is over it.
I centered the boxes and text on the page by assigning them a div with an id and then centering the div. This is probably not the most efficient way of doing this, however it works for me lol. Secondly I cleaned up the pages by adding a nice entrance animation. (I used a website tool called Animista to create the animation w/CSS code [Not an AI tool], all credits are in the READMD file). Lastly, I added a home button to the images page.
I updated the website, where the history page now contains more content. I rearranged the table of contents, and fixed the size, so the interactable box doesn’t span the entire page horizontally.
I added a new page with a very short reason going over why I made this website :)
I added a page that currently has two games, snake and pong. I used the code from straker on github, and did some slight modifications to fix the speed.
Ships:
I made an HTML website that mainly focuses on the concept of sprint cars, however, the main focus was to see what I can make and then use to improve. Although some of the code was not mine, such as the nice entrance animations made in CSS, and the JavaScript games. I am still proud of what I made, and hope to improve on it. Lastly, I want to note that I know the JavaScript games are not of the same theme as the rest of the website. This is intended, and was use to see how I can make it work with my website, even though I do not have much understanding of CSS or JavaScript at all. :)...
