Devlogs:
First devlog I built the basic of any plataform using the godot built-in character body 2D and added a tilemap for easier level desing
Added the finish line and the timer The finish line is just a area2D and the timer well is just a timer node, next step is doing the silly mechanics of the game
Added the main feature of the game, the upgrade system like in a roguelike, every time you finish a run you will get to choose one of three upgrades, I proggramed it so upgrades can never repeat and are radomly choosen, also I made so the player can select the upgrade with the keybord or mouse(it will help if I want to make the game work on controller)
I added a skin system where the player can wear one hat and one costume Hats: Silly hat(on the image) Red hat(marios hat) Crown Costumes: Dream(on the image below) Batman Mario Lolipop(a lolipop) I also added the final tileset, it is white so I can change its color in the game engine, I also added a tilt when the player moves...

Framework & design The biggest problem when starting this is that the deprecated RoboRIO cannot use the modern robot frameworks (used to control the robot at a high-level). The roboRIO is incompatible with the new frameworks because they are tightly coupled to the newer hardware. To overcome this, I created a new framework that mimics the behavior of the current modern frameworks. It subclasses TimedRobot , allowing for each robot mode to be encapsulated in its own module rather than all lifecycle hooks needing to be in the same class. In other words, this eliminates the problem of a gigantic robot.py file that orchestrates the entire codebase. Here’s a diagram to show how each mode is separated: Robot Framework (inherits from `TimedRobot`) │ ├── DisabledMode ├── AutonomousMode ├── TeleopMode └── TestMode Testing Unit testing robot runtime behavior isn’t feasible. Therefore, I created integration tests to ensure the correct behavior of the lifecycle methods in each mode (i.e. entered, periodic, exited). Robot Code I completed the drivetrain subsystem as a model for the rest of the subsystems to follow. The file structure encapsulates each of the subsystems, making it impossible for other subsystems to talk with or command the hardware of any others. Devlogs:
I thought it would be fun if the desktop pet would bounce around the screen, and I made it so you can move it with your cursor.
I put the desktop pet in a box that will play an animation when hovered over.
Alright, this is a small update, just a few hotfixes. I’ve managed to make the box’s animation loop correctly, and now the box can actually be behind your tabs.
I’ve managed to make it so that the dog will walk, run, and lay down after you have pressed the box. althought its a little buggy right now so the first thing i will do tomorrow is fix that and add more features.
Alright this was a more larger update; adding more states and I got rid of the previous bugs.
I made a rpg style dialogue system and tomorrow the pet will be set up to be able to talk to you.
I made it work! Tomorrow this full project will be uploaded to my GitHub. Also, I’m thinking of rebooting this project because it’s not going in the direction that I envisioned.
I couldn’t post the full project on github today, but tomorrow i will for sure. Also I added a few a more features!
I couldn’t post the project today because I was busy. But I added a feature that lets you pet the dog :D...

Devlog 1 I got a little busy with school and my social life so I have not worked much on this project yet. Definitely a little step down from my grand project that I just finished. Devlog 2 Did not do much for this devlog. I mainly did refactor work and cleaning up my code. But I discovered a new thing about python. DUNDER METHODS These are actually really cool and they add some additional functionality to your classes that you make. For example in my use I use the: __str__ () dunder (double underscore) method which allows me to call print() on my class and print whatever I want to print for my class. This code snippet prints what is shown in the photo.
Devlog 3 Added actual pygame rendering, piece images on their tiles, and basic clicking events on tiles. I am currently having one issue with my pieces not being centered on their tiles hopefully an easy fix. But overall I’m making solid progress. It definitely gets hard to code every day while coming home from school tired every day but I will push through. The picture below shows my progress with this so far. I’ve addded from last devlog to this one: Rendering board with PyGame Rendering pieces with their images onto the tile they currently are on When a piece is clicked it outlines the tile in red...

Testing the opening and closing of my wing mechanism with legos
Main structure of the wing designed in freecad assembly and connecter shafts left. now need to test whether proportions are accurate and will they work as intended.
First Failure. trying to assemble my mechanism in cad but for some reason its glitching and not fitting as intended. Some parts assembled in reverse and also shafts of wrong size....
