I decided to start working on my next project while waiting for the other one to get accepted (from Google). This project will be an upgraded version of my personal site. I want to build something like an underwater city with houses, and each house holds information, so for example, you click on the telephone cell to get to an under site which shows my contact information, etc. I just worked on the graphics and stuff a little, and I kind of missed that. Do not get me wrong, I love my other project, but this is just so relaxing and calming at the moment. This site will also have a dark mode where your cursor turns into a flashlight, btw. What do we think about this idea? Thanks for reading <3
As you can see, I added this super cool new feature: the dark mode. As I love dark modes, they are kind of boring on sites because they always look the same and often aren’t really designed (they just make EVERYTHING black -no, I don’t want to look at a black wall), so I added a cooler way for my site. It is currently working with an and not an but I’ll change that tomorrow as well as the cursor because the current cursor does look good but is super bad to use. That escalated quickly. Really really quickly. The music player is soooooooo good. I cannot be calm about this I am sorry. Look at all the fishes and uhh the light feature works with a flashlight or the key l or L now. The font has changed,it also got an hover effect the background music get’s you so in the zone and just imagine how I’ll build so much stuff into this. I am sooo happy and yes yes Ik I normally log every 2 hours but I coded in school and couldn’t write one and I was so in the work thingy that I couded 2 more hours at home. What do you think about the cursor? I made it myself and added that bubble effect that follows the submarine. Thanks for reading <3
And another update for today: Fullscreen should work now. It would really help if you tried it out (go to the site and then F11 on windows ,idk apple) and tell me if everything looks right. So what did I do today: For you I did norhing but for me I worked my life through responsive tutorials and started making the site responsive. Because this is my portfolio and it has to work on phones or laptops/tablets too. My plan is to only build the deskop site for now ship then the phone ship and then the tablet/laptop. For the phone version there will be somehting to move around the submarine I believe. Thanks for reading and thanks @matthewwong12 for your help <3
We are backkkkkkkkkk! So I know I have to work A LOT due to this short amount of time, but I think that I can at least finish the desktop version. I just made the some graphics for the heading (it is that wood you find underwater don’t ask me the English word for it), and I also started working on the bubbles. The bubbles are supposed to show the text of their content on a hover, and I am currently working on that. Love how it looks so far. Okay, so as you can see, we are close to finishing the contact site. So the hover effect works with bubbles, but the click thing (yk clicking on the link) works a little bit hard. That is not a big issue, though, because the contact form works best, and the main task of a contact site is to contact me, so it does its job. I am pretty happy about this site, and now all I’ll do is add a home button, and then it is up to the next site/house. Thanks for reading <3
So I have to take a break asap because I am working non-stop, but just look at it! All these houses look sooo good. I also changed one (in the drawing the site with my sites was a normal building just like the GitHub one) into a museum, and I love it. The GitHub building also has this thing on the top, yk, that advertisement that you normally see on buildings. The GitHub house, the contact site, and pretty soon my site work. The site has an actual book that works with 3D and looks super duper old. I am finished with the code, just changing a little bit more of the graphics for it, but it works. I also added a text thingy that shows when you hover on items to make it more user-friendly. I really like where we are going, and I am working as fast as I can! Thanks for reading <3
I present to you: The education site!!!!!! And the start of the observatory, hehe. I added a cute little new site with a grid and an object (the grid is pretty empty right now because it only holds my stardance certificate due to the fact that I would have to black out ALL my other stuff completely, personal data, etc.), but it looks pretty good, and the styling of the PDF thing was a pain. I also started with the observatory and made that new font, that super matching spaceship cursor and a completely new background. For better understanding: The background is not one image. Every piece is on its own and then per Z-Index + position styled. The observatory will hold code resources, resources for text, and all that kind of stuff. It’ll basically be a library. Have I ever made a menu before? No. Can I believe that it is that easy. Also no. Do I actually love it? Yes, sssss. I just love the little space moment with the window and the little detail with the earth in the background. The colours are colouring, and I am just super proud that the menu works. I’ll now do the content and finish the content tomorrow and start the README. The content and the README will take much time, so I have to hurry. Thanks for reading <3...
