I started by creating the base and basic track components, learning how to sketch shapes and turn them into 3D parts using extrusions. I also worked on modifying the base and figuring out how to shape it into something more interesting than a basic square. After that, I created the Plinko section by sketching and extruding its different parts. I had some issues with uneven extrusions and getting the pieces to fit together properly, so I made adjustments. I also rotated the Plinko board into the position I wanted and extended the main base using extrusion so I could plan where the other sections would go. I wanted the marble run to have multiple stages that connect together instead of just being separate pieces. I then worked on the staircase track, starting with a sketch and measuring out rectangular sections with 20 mm sides. I made sure the steps were evenly spaced before turning the sketch into a 3D structure. This part took some trial and error because I struggled with getting the extrusions to work correctly, and the base ended up slightly uneven at first. After adjusting the extrusion settings and fixing the base, I was able to finish the staircase. After that, I created a cylindrical base in the center of the marble run and started planning the overall layout. I positioned the staircase, funnel, and base track to see how everything could fit together. I also designed a spiral track that wraps around the cylinder and adjusted its position to prevent it from intersecting with the base. I started positioning the funnel above the spiral so the marble can enter the track, although I still need to make sure the transition between the two sections is smooth. My current plan is for the marble to start in the funnel, travel through the spiral track around the cylinder, continue along the main track, pass through the Plinko board, and then go down the staircase. I want everything to connect into one continuous path, so I have been thinking about the placement, height, and spacing of each part as I work. For the ending, I want the marble to land in a cute star or flower-shaped base to make the design more unique. My next step is to continue assembling the track, finish connecting the funnel to the spiral, and make sure the marble can travel through each section smoothly before reaching the final base. I am excited to finish up design and get to actually building a functioning marble run!! :)"}]...
