For my Web OS 2 mission I added a stopwatch, countdown timer and also a way to change your desktop background to a different picture that I have put in, these are all in my widgets slide out dock. I have also added a calculator app so when you want you can use it to do calculations. And I’ve done some updates to my Notes app so you can save your notes and when you come back later it will be waiting there for you and you can continue where you left off. Also to the notes app I added that when you add a new note it asks what you want to name it and it uses that name. The part that was challenging was, that when I expected the code to work it didn’t. Especially when the bug was like a few extra spaces I had put in or me not typing something in correctly(I admit, that was really frustrating). But if I had to choose what the hardest thing was I’d say it was the calculator it was really frustrating and wouldn’t do what I wanted half the time and when I finally got it to work I was so relieved and happy. Honestly, I can’t pick one thing that I’m proud of because I am proud of the whole thing and I am proud of myself that I built that whole Web OS by myself. That I coded every little piece of code with my fingers, on my keyboard and it just makes me so so (I don’t know what to say) happy and proud! In the bottom right corner, a window states that the environment has initialized successfully. At the start getting the features up and running was challenging but over time as I progressed and got used to it I was able to get it up and running and add new features and code freely without needing too much help. I am proud that I have built this because I have never done coding a web page before and it was a wonderful experience. But, if you asked me for one thing in my Web OS that I am especially proud of I would say that would be my notes app because I am so happy with how I built it so far and the new features I added to it that makes it uniquely mine. Along the way I accomplished stuff and improved stuff but I also ran into errors and problems in my code which was frustrating and sometimes shocking because I had expected it to work. I have also done some updates to the Notes app now it saves your notes so next time when you open it you can continue where you left off, also now when you open a new note you can name it yourself (it works!). Now let me tell you something, when you give me too much time on my hands I’d either waste it or do something overly productive and this time I ended up being overly productive and guess what I added another new feature! You can now change the background by choosing one of the three buttons given. You can choose and change it in the widget center. Though all of this wasn’t easy, quite the opposite really. Personally, I think it took way too much searching sites to build all of this new code and to get it working. Changing the background the code was simple but I had a few bugs here and there and because of that my code wouldn’t work. Honestly I am so proud of my work and am very satisfied with this project. I was so so happy. Then I had to decide what to do for my 3rd feature and Guess what it is? I’ve decided to do another app. what kind of app you ask? Well its a ..(drumroll ….).. Calculator! Did you guess it? :) I admit it took me 5 minutes to come up with the idea but hours (well it felt like hours. m( _ _ )m ) to actually get it running and its still not running . The button to open it, even though it should’ve been simple wasn’t and the code just wasn’t working and it took me quite awhile of picking at the code to get it to work. In the middle of all that I actually found a block of code that did nothing it was just sitting there dormant and I remembered that when I wrote it I had tried doing something new but then abandoned it and moved on to another piece of code. Hey everyone! Since I wasn’t able to write much in my last devlog—because I was low on time and only posted a few sentences as a summary—I’ve decided to write more this time. I’ve been chipping away at the Fortfact app and just pushed some fun updates. I’ve expanded the pool of content with a handful of brand-new facts and fortunes for you to discover, and I also refreshed the text in the welcome box to make it a bit more inviting. I also gave the UI a little makeover—I shrunk the welcome window’s overall size so it feels less intrusive, and tucked it neatly into the bottom-right corner of the screen and changed the text inside it. Behind the scenes, I also took some time to dive into the codebase and refine a few areas that felt a bit rushed and messy during the initial build. It wasn’t all smooth sailing, though. ok, so i ran into a few bugs when i was doing this and it took me a surprising amount of time to fix it but finally I fixed it! yay for me! anyway, after that i put in a few more additions to my notes app, like putting in buttons to open a brand new note or delete one or to save your current note.
I added a new app that gives you a fortune or fact and i refined the code in places.
Progress, Polishing, and a Sudden Deployment Scare! I ran into a massive roadblock trying to deploy to GitHub Pages. For a moment, everything broke and it gave me quite a shock! It took a solid chunk of troubleshooting time, but I managed to untangle the issue and get everything live.
Refining and Changing! 👌 I had to change and delete some of my code because I had asked AI to do it and so it took me some time to try to figure out how to change it without breaking the code though there wasn’t much I needed to change because most of the time I hadn’t used AI much other than to point me in the right direction(and most of time no answers, I wanted to figure it out by myself if I could) and also I had looked at some code I had done before to help me out. In the middle of all that I actually found a block of code that did nothing it was just sitting there dormant and I remembered that when I wrote it I had tried doing something new but then abandoned it and moved on to another piece of code. I didn’t delete that block of code though, I was thinking I can eventually get back to it. I tried the site again and I was so relieved to see that it still worked perfectly and nothing had broken😮💨. Finally I was thinking if this devlog needed a picture but I don’t know what to put this time so I’m just going to put a picture of the working website again😅.
I am now in the middle of doing my 3 new features for my WebOS 2 mission. And I’m getting so nervous because the deadline is so close. I’ve decided to make a slide out widget sidebar as 1-2 of the features and I ran into quite a few bugs when I was doing it. The button to open it, even though it should’ve been simple wasn’t and the code just wasn’t working and it took me quite awhile of picking at the code to get it to work. I then decided that inside it I was going to do a stopwatch and a countdown timer and after much researching and searching through a few websites and my past code i was able to build them and I am so happy with them. But at the start it kept on not working and it was quite frustrating and so I decided to have a break and after when I came back to it and I managed to fix it then.
I know I said I got the widgets up and running well I take it back I didn’t. When I went back to it guess what? They weren’t working and I was like “Seriously?! why…??!!”. It took me awhile of editing to get it working and when I finally got it working I was like “YAY!!!”. And also in the back of my mind I’m thinking OMG there is only practically less than a of couple days till stardance ENDS!!!
Hey guys, The calculator for my WebOS is almost done and I’m so happy! It took me quite a while but I’ve got it working though only after a heap of bugs and layout problems (it was exhausting…not really ;) ). Anyway, I still have time so I was thinking of maybe saving the notes in the notes app so even after refreshing they are still there. If I manage to finish that maybe I’ll do something else but I haven’t thought of anything yet.
Hey Everyone, I have finished the calculator and that works smoothly now. Yay! Stardance!!!

I made a Web OS. A top status bar tracks a localized clock, the system name, and a banner reading “You learn something new everyday!”. On the left side of the screen, desktop shortcuts for “Notes” and “Fortfact” sit next to an open, stylized “Welcome” window that explains the system’s core capabilities. To test my project you can just click the link I have put in or click the link I have put in my ReadMe and it launches directly from there, no extra steps!
I made a WebOS. To test out my project just click the link I have put for the demo url and it takes you to the deployed site or go to my READ ME and It under live Demo it has the link just click it and it takes you to the site(that’s it. no extra steps). Thanks HackClub people I loved Stardance o7 ....

the keyboard is going well in the sense that im probably heading towards the right direction. Im still VERY very behind compared to many other people but comparison is the thief of joy. My design will be rather simple, but i need to figure out how to use Autodesk before anything big can happen.
Progress has been made. We got the keyboard case set up after much trial and error. Now for the hard part.
test 1. I think the logging thing is broken? i chnaged the name so idk if it took in the last hour of my work so ill post this devlog to check. nothing yet im still working on the pcb im just posting a devlog to see if my time was logged
Yea they got me. I have no clue how screwed I am but I pray everything is gonna be fine. Edit: might need to go visit microcenter or best buy after work. Edit 2: so my laptop basically killed itself according to the technician

PCB. DONE.
forgot to mention but case is done and so is the firmware, which is technically in progress but its enough to let me submit it rn and edit in the future. i also need to figuire out how to get the pcb inside to export all of this
FINISHED (sorta). ok cool everythings done i followed all the instructions which took me a stupidly long time to do since i had to configure git and everything. Woohoo!
finsihed again. sorry fellas i was gone for a hot minute cuz i was procratinating like crazy. Got the Display working. Ngl I completely forgot to Devlog this stuff but I ended up having credit someone else to get the loadRom function working. Afterwards it took AGES to implement and configure SDL2 but at long last… It works
I started working on implementing the opcodes for the emulator. Thank the lord for Timendus’s chip-8 test suite. Soon enough i should be able to run an actual game on it :)
I finally finished implementing all the opcodes needed for a chip-8 emulator. It took a while and i ended up having to review some of them to mimic the behaviour of the original COSMAC VIP chip8 emualtor but it can FINALLY, play pong :) (not well but). I FINISHED IT

I’ve also been working on power optimization using ESP32 light sleep, so the device doesn’t waste battery power when it’s idle. The project is still evolving, with plans for a larger TFT display, better interface animations, vibration notifications and an INMP441 microphone for future voice-controlled inventory management. I have around 230 modules and sensors, and searching through all those pouches every time I need something is honestly annoying. So I decided to build an inventory manager using an ESP32 and an OLED display. The idea was to search for a component and get its exact location instead of digging through everything manually. I also wanted to add a few things I’d actually use at my electronics bench, like timers, Pomodoro sessions and a clock. What started as a simple inventory tracker was already turning into something bigger. Day 2 — Getting the keypad and RTC working I worked on the keypad interface and RTC integration. For text input, I wanted something similar to the old Nokia phones, where pressing a key multiple times lets you enter different letters. It makes searching through hundreds of components much easier without needing a full keyboard. The RTC was a different story. Initially, the ESP32 couldn’t communicate with it, and I thought the module might be faulty. Turns out, I’d swapped the SDA and SCL connections. After fixing that, I got it working, but the time was still incorrect. I had to set it properly and replace the nearly dead coin cell. At least it wasn’t a dead module. Just my wiring. Day 3 — Making the battery last longer Once the main hardware was working, I started looking at power consumption. The ESP32 was constantly running its main loop, updating things even when I wasn’t interacting with the device. Not ideal for something powered by a 2,200 mAh battery. I started optimizing the loop and implementing light sleep so the ESP32 could spend less time actively processing when idle. The RTC handles timekeeping independently, which helps avoid keeping the ESP32 awake just for the clock. There’s still room for improvement, but getting the power management sorted out was an important step. Day 4 — Organizing the inventory I worked on the inventory system using LittleFS for local storage. This means the component data stays on the ESP32 itself instead of depending on an internet connection or an external database. The plan is to keep track of component names, locations, quantities and lending status. With around 230 components to manage, having everything searchable in one place makes a real difference. I also wanted the device to be more than just a storage database. Having inventory search, timers, Pomodoro sessions and a clock together makes it much more useful on my electronics bench. Day 5 — What’s next? Looking at the current build, there are still plenty of things I want to improve. The SSD1306 OLED works fine, but its small size is becoming a limitation. A TFT display would give me more space for a better interface. The bigger idea, though, is voice control. I’m planning to experiment with an INMP441 microphone so I can eventually give commands like asking the device to locate an OLED or update the inventory when I borrow a component. Of course, plugging in a microphone won’t magically turn the ESP32 into Jarvis. Wake-word detection, speech recognition and command processing will all need work. For now, I’m happy with how far the project has come. It’s still a work in progress, and every new feature seems to introduce another problem to solve. That’s pretty much how my electronics projects go."}]...

Devlogs:
I’m making the Bugatti Destriel from scratch and I want it be like the real thing, and I’m only did the back part of it and there is long way to go.
Make the rare diffuser, and also ajest the topology so much better body flow and to get details after the general shape come.
Make the said skirt and remake the body because the topography got bad.
I make the engine bed and the roof scoop and added the things from the things. And I also make the topology much more good
Today I make the front part of the Bugatti and the it look so good, I need to model the saids and the cut out
Cut out sections and add things like the horse shoe grill and now remaking the engine bet with new reference images.
Cut out sum sections and cut out the headlights and add things and i guess finally i make the engine bay caret this time, because i remake this engine bay around 4 time because i didn’t had much reference images to make it.
I work on the interior and som small sections of the car and I need to finalize the interior too and small details and things
I close completing the interior and I make the rim design for the car,
Add texture/materials to the car and it look good and added normal maps to everything i think to give so much depth and detail
I lost around 10h off work because the house not recoded in the Stardance page, Add so much material normal maps and and good amount of stuff to make it the thing
Finish the interior room so long and so much effect, and need to adjust sum small theing around the body of the car
I heavily modified existing map custom textures, terrain/topology edits, foliage, mountains by me. to animate the car.
I rig the car to animate and put in to the map and I’m starting to animating it
I admitted sum cool shots and work on refining sum animations
In the modle the head lights didn’t look right so I fixed it and I finshed all of the animations now jest need to render it
Modle and the video is all set now
Ships:
This is my fest car model I make from scratch and I make it in to a cool video to share with you guys, hope you enjoy it :). all the details are in the Readme....

I started with learning the basics of numpy, ie., how to make an array, array types, how classes are used etc.. Once I did that, I created a brief .md file of how I would implement the neural network concretely, with all the equations and structure and stuff. Then I went to a LLM (cgpt & gemini) and asked it whether it would work if I implemented it. Took multiple iterations to get it concretely-right, but eventually it was done. I started with defining the class. Then, I made the __init__ function, settle , train and reinitialize functions. Again, I asked LLMs for any mistakes, giving it the paper to base it’s answers on. Now, imagine we have a greyscale image consisting of 128 pixels that shows a number 0-9. We can encode it into the leftwards layer. The rightwards layer must predict the middle one which must predict the leftwards one. However, the image has size 128 whereas the righwards layer has size 10. Therefore, the network is forced to compress the 128-long image into a 10-long vector. How do we teach it to do this? We randomly initialize the states of the layers. Next, we clamp the left layer to some image. Then, we let the network find a configuration of states that matches the leftwards image best. Of course, it can’t find such a configuration because the matrices aren’t trained yet. Once it has settled, we gently adjust the weight matrices to match the image better. If we repeat this process enough times, the network finds a configuration for the matrices that let it encode the image into the rightwards layer. That’s it! Next, I’ll try training the network on a XOR function to see if it’s actually capable of doing anything, maybe even move on to MNIST. I’m using CMake for this project so that the project is widely compilable, which is obviously important if it is to be playable by everyone who wants to. In order to make the levels look… like anything, one needs to be able to place images. So I got to work on the ImageBox stuff in the code. I did a lot of coding for the images without actually testing it, most of which worked first-try! But the part that DIDN’T work first-try was the images’ actual appearance. Like an idiot, i plugged in the camera to charge and realized i had a switch between the charging module and the battery, and flipped it. welp. it powered the esp AND was charging and the battery’s protection PCB freaked out and disconnected the battery. I thought i had fried the camera, so i had to resolder the entire thing (becuase wires were coming loose due to bad soldering too). At the end, everything was rlly fine because the battery’s protection pcb tanked the hit and is fine now. one more thing. i decided to ditch the enclosure because im just loving how it looks right now, so cyberpunk-y with those naked wires. im keeping it this way. although i have made it in CAD, those who want can put it on their own pocketcams. Devlogs:
Today I used Lego to try to see how small I could make my retro pocketcam. I first drew out the dimensions of the components (3.7v 500mah LiPo, ESP32CAM + OV5640 Camera, IP5310 Boost Converter) I then opened my big box o’ legos and tried to match the paper sketch with appropriate pieces. Although I did make them a tad bit bigger cause tolerances exist, I think its nice.
I drew out the rough circuit diagram in diagram.net of how the wiring/circuitry for the cam. would look like.
I modelled the entire camera in onshape; including the internal components. I must admit- the enclosure was the hardest part. I feel quite productive.
I made a V2 of the camera enclosure. I think its significantly better than yesterday; looks cleaner and is a bit more ergonomic.
I got a sort of bad breadboard- so i had to manually plug a dupont male header in and out to make it looser. It was so tight that none of my components went in without feeling like id damage them pushing in
I wrote code for Pocketcam, my friend helped me a lot. got a ton of errors on the first try. I had some trouble uploading however, the thing just would not flash the esp32cam. It was getting late at night so I decided to shut down and sleep.
I successfully flashed the esp32cam after a big big boss battle. The thing just would not listen or connect or talk. At the end I gave up, tested it with a multimeter. All evidence pointed towards a defective board. The thing just wouldn’t communicate! not even over baud 74880, not even garbage characters!- thats usually a dead board. I tried flashing it like 20 times since yesterday I think. Same cycle. Upload code, compiling, connecting –> PRESS RST, hope something happens, fail. I even sent the supplier an email saying I got a defective piece. The thing is, you gotta flash this board by pressing the “reset RST” button when the arduino ide says “connecting…..”; which obv. did not work for me. I try it. EUREKA. it goshdarn works. like holy crap dude, how. wth!!! i am so goshdarn happy right now that the thing works.
I got the camera working. However… the tft is giving me a bad headache. The screen just won’t work- the backlight turns on and all but its not displaying anything. I think its cause of the brownout detection, something is fishy. Working on solving it. I also messed with the code a bit and my friend helped me write better code.
I made a millimeter accurate cad model of the esp32cam and the tft since i have them in my hands rn. battery and buck converter remain
I modelled the battery (just a cuboid) and imported the ip5310 from the web. I messed up the importing a bit and had to manually delete a lot of parts lmao
I worked a bit more on the cad. The internal assembly is wayyyy more detailed now. milimeter accurate
I FINALLY GOT THE TFT WORKING LETS GOOOO. this thing was giving me headaches since the past week. just wouldnt turn on. backlight did. but no data- glowing rectangle of doom. I FIXED IT TODAY. I READ THAT I COULD USE eSPI thingy, change some code, MOST IMPORTANTLY, i wired my DC to IO1… and it just worked. im very tired to type out the detailed thing but yeah. lets go.
I fixed the colours on the TFT ( yesterday it looked rlly weird). now its working. LETS GO. the prototype is 99% done. just soldering and 3d printing the case left
Messed something up…. [Image from the camera btw] Im running the cam at 5mp now and it takes like 8s for the thing to save, and sometimes it doesn’t even save, I was tweaking around- changed something, now the image sometimes saves, sometimes doesn’t- wth is happening, the first iteration worked perfectly…?
Tried to model a new enclosure but failed horribly. Guess I’ll edit the old one
Updated camera enclosure: This is probably the final design- ig only a few changes will be made later like adding holes for the type c and all. But yeah. Its almost done…….
ITS DONE!!!! soldering and everythign and everything is doneeee. just gotta put it in a case and call it done. lets go. finally.
bad news. i messed up the wiring. had to desolder the battery. will do the rest later
ITS CHARGING MY DUDES. FINALLY. LETS GO. I had accidentally tripped the battery’s protection circuit and wouldn’t work (I had messed it up while trying to charge lmao) I just resoldered everything. AND IT WORKS. LETS GOOOOOOOOOO
resoldering the camera… the earlier connections came loose. and this ones even worse ahhhh
resoldered like 2 wires.
Resoldered one more wire, and a prev one had come lose so fixed that too
resoldered 2 more wires and added the power system
Display has been resoldered
Soldered the shutter button and one part of the sliding switch, also connected a few more wires. Its almost done (again)
Its done. Resoldered the entire thing. However the battery is depleted and im gonna have to charge it so we don’t know if it turns on yet
Ships:
I made an esp32cam digicam with a tft showing live view. it was a very exciting and PAINFUL project i must say. alright i really wasnt expecting this level of complexity. first, the damn esp wont flash- somehow got it to flash, tft wont work- it was a library problem. soldering was another pain because first time, and i have shaky hands- all the time, sooo yeah uhhh you know how it went. then. writing the code, huge thanks to my friend; he helped me write the code without AI. it was easier than i was expecting it to be. okay when we got the camera working. i accidentally fried the battery TEMPORARILY. So uh yeah. first ship. lets go....

Cursor ripples in the water, and nearby fish peel away Notes show “Saved in this tank” Windows remember where you dragged them Esc closes the focused window A first run hint: “Move around — the fish notice you.”
I wanted the cursor to feel like something in the water. When it gets close, fish peel away instead of swimming through it, and the water keeps a little ripple. Notes now say when they’re saved, windows remember where you left them, and Esc closes the focused one.
I gave the water moving light patterns and ripples Fish now grow and change forms when you feed them + tank has memory now. A goldfish can become a koi, then a dragon koi. I also replaced the dock with little objects sitting in the sand. Notes opens from a treehouse, Calculator from a treasure chest, and Music from a shell. Nailed the movement system. Feels fluid and its really simple. I will upload it on github later and put it in the NorthHigh Description. (Sorry for the laggy video) Next thing to make is a map i think, but we’ll see. AND THE MOST IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: bean name is BILLY

Devlog #4, I think. Sooooo, i needed to redo the mountain, made it bigger so textures worked better and the world felt bigger. Also managed to texture the snow and the rock, let me know how it looks. Name of the game is not final ,but i ain’t having any better ideas so it might as well be it. Next up ill need to add vegetation like trees, bushes, maybe grass? idk rocks would also greatly help. 1 more think i should add is a better sky, the Godot default looks kinda bad tbh. I might also make my trello board public if there’s enough demand
DevLog #5: Major Visual Update, makes the game look way better that i originally thought I could make it. Although I’m not supposed to give my own opinion, it looks pretty good. Godot crashed so i had to reimport the textures and redo the auto-shader, but it looks nice, i think. I think y’all also can see the gun test on the last image, and i think its the way to go, ill just have to model a silencer and some other guns and AAaaaaahh why everything so hard. If y’all have any suggestions, write it in the comments, I’ll take it into consideration.
DevLog #6 I’ve wasted too much time just trying to figure out how to import good looking and also good running trees, and I still DIDN’T figure out HOW?! Any help is greatly appreciated (please). These screenshots I took we’re running in like 10 fps because of the trees, maybe it could be because of my laptop, and if that is, I just don’t know what to do. Other than that, I’ve fixed some weird bugs in the terrain, but there still remain to be some, it takes a lot of time as it needs to be done manually. Anyway, thanks for reading fellow human being, hope you have a great day!

I learned Godot from 0, sooo this is my first experience. It turned out being way harder than I thought and the whole game idea managed to change over it’s life spam. I ship the project here, but I will continue it over on the terra hackclub program. Hope you enjoy my little… walking simulator? demo....
