Working on the opening page and Top bar
I added a Div to make everything central. I also added a background image to the whole thing along with a bar on top, showing the webite name and current time.
I made it so the middle box is draggable around the screen. Took quite a bit of effort when all I needed to do was remove the margin around the div.
I made it so the main page can open and close, I also added a notes style app with the ability to open and close as well.
I added a to do app. Used some AI to fix some bugs in it.
I fixed the bug where you could only drag the windows by their headers, and the close button covered the whole are above it. Some AI use to solve some bugs.

It also supports categorizing them by tags and languages, giving descriptions and titles to them and even supports macros: [%%] -> Supports variables such as BP_FILENAME, some sandboxed JavaScript evaluation and even macros (variables defined by yourself using JavaScript code) [#n#] -> Tabstops, where n is an index (they’re standard Vscode tabstops: evaluated from 1 to infinity and beyond, 0 at last and can be grouped like in the example) [#n|fallback#] -> Tabstops but with a placeholder/fallback if user chooses to ignore the tabstop. Also, you can change the snippets by the extension itself (supports basic coding editor features, such as tab indenting or auto closing quotes). For all this. it uses an in-build webview (ctrl+alt+u, mac: cmd+alt+u). You can easily download it at Microsoft Extension Marketplace (just search by “Br-Zueira’s Boilerplater”). If you want, you can also get the VSIX file at GitHub Releases (then open it with Vscode and click “Download VSIX extension”). It’s plug and enjoy! For now, Boilerplater has just a function to copy a highlighted section (still does nothing with it) and a database loader/initializer. Most of the concepts are still just ideas. Next step is to program the snippet saving part in database.
Hey guys. After fighting against compilation errors, caused by libs and shx, and errors in database managing, caused by thread throttling by setup-ing db, that were solved using asynchronous tasks instead, now I’ve finally done the snippet creation part! The extension successfully saves the snippet, along with its title, description (can be empty) and language (in another table, as the snippet itself only carries the language id, in a one-to-many relationship, as a snippet have only one language, while a language can have lots of snippets). Next step is continuing the CRUD part, probably by including a web view.
Hey guys! Today, I worked in the webwiew. For now, we have this index page and the start of the list page. Other improvements were more docs focused, such as improving README.db and code commenting, and enforcing code structure with new ‘helpers’ folder and ‘html’ TypeScript file.
Hello, programmers! Today, I improved more the webview, this time focusing on the list view. It successfully shows a list of one of the valid models (snippets, tags, languages) and information about it. TODO: Model creation page, editing page, ensure paginate works 100% fine and add searchbar functionality. Struggles: SQL (I’m having to work with raw SQL as sql.js doesn’t have ORM) and avoiding spaghetti code (trust me: It’s hard when you have to write HTML and frontend JavaScript in string literal templates)
Hey guys! Yesterday, I tried to make this generic model editor, and I have the layout, but the functionality is… well… broke for now. Also, to correct a bug, I had to rewrite the whole functionality of the database. Now I have a proper class wrapper instead of passing the raw database object around.
Today, the edit view successfully shows the right values, but the tomSelect dropdowns I tried to add were a complete failure. TODO: Fix tomSelect.
Hey guys! Now tom-select is 100% working and model editing works… at least 50%? Well, and we also have this gorgeous CSS styling that matches with Vscode styles!
Hey guys! Today, I officially finished CRUD! For all models! I also made tag assignment work 100% fine. Besides that, I improved a bit on code modularity and organization and did small patches. TODO: Improve the “R” and maybe the “D” of CRUD; Add the snippet pasting part (the app focus).
Hey guys! I did a search engine for the list view! It was kind of complex, as I had to deal with SQL joins (INNER JOIN for NOT NULL fields and LEFT JOIN for optional fields), a bridge table, JSON_GROUP_ARRAY, etc, but in the end, it worked. Just have to test a bit more the search bar as it sometimes have some glitches (every time a search is fired, the whole DOM is reloaded).
Hello guys! Now we can paste the snippets directly from the webview! Also, it has dynamic templates: [%%] executes simple JavaScript and can access variables such as BP_FILENAME or BP_YEAR [##] turns into tabstops: can be either [# index #] or [# index | default value #] where index is an integer, and optional default value can be used when user just skips the tabstop However, as a safety measure, the templates can’t directly access vscode, node.js or other possibly sensible variables, methods or functions.
Hello, fellow devs! I just wrote this info at index about the extension and about the templates. I also made the snippet typing more similar to Vscode coding, so now it has tab indentation, and auto closes quotes, parenthesis, brackets, curly braces and the extension templating “[%” and “[#”. TODO: Fix the frontend script that is now half broken.
Hello. I started preparing extension for release, so I changed compiler to esbuild and added the GSL3 license to my project. I also started trying to implement the option to add custom variables for templating to the extension, but it’s all broken.
Hello, fellow devs! Today, I solved the issues related to macros. Also, letting it in configs.json made it messy, counterintuitive and less integrated with the rest of the extension, so I moved it to the webviews, together with the snippets, tags and languages you’re all already familiar with. The evaluation order is very important, as this is what grants macros can be access by other macros, only needing to come before in the order. I’m really excited to see what will people come up with this.
Hello, fellow devs! Yesterday, I completed the CRUD for languages! You can now create, edit or even delete them. The internal name is searched in Vscode language IDs. To delete one, if you have snippets assigned to them, you can either reassign all of them to another language or delete them along with the language, both automatically made.
Hello, fellow devs! Today, I added this gorgeous gif into the readme. Also, I had to escape the content to be shown in list view (I discovered it the worst way: completely breaking the layout while playing around with HTML and PHP snippets) and added aliases for languages, which makes searching them easier. I removed frontend JS and CSS into actual files (they were string literals before) and, finally, moved some files around.
Bug patching and extension updating
Ships:
Hello guys! Today, I celebrate the shipping of Br-Zueira’s Boilerplater! It serves for saving (ctrl+u, mac: cmd+u) and pasting code snippets (ctrl+alt+u, mac: cmd+alt+u). Hope it really lets your workflow more frictionless!...

DEVLOG 5 Ok so added one more command which pulls the quote of the day from ZENQUOTES zen Added /baguette-quote Fixed the /baguette-help command (It said nasa api instead ) Need to start working on welcoming capabilities soon. Also fixed a few more stuff? But I forgor
DEVLOG 6 ADDED CHANNEL WELCOMING FEATURES FINALLY! 🥹 Learned a lot of stuff in this one including events! Applied member_joined_channel event to the list and had to reinstall the app to workspace. Commands use app.command() but events use app.event() and differ a lot from commands (yes no shi sherlock) Realized user or channel referencing is done via <${event.user}> or <$user_id> Forgot to add this to the readme Anyways, thinking of adding basic responses like those “automated workspace” ones
After 51 minutes of fixing the readme, making the welcoming feature specific to only my channel so it doesn’t lead to abuse, and debugging this last event… DEVLOG 7 I would like to leave this as the last devlog as I want to focus on more stuff now! Added new message_detection capabilities which trigger on any sentence containing the keyword “Mk1A”(not case sensitive) Fixed the welcoming feature to only my channel #mk1a-notdefined 🔒 Added local setup instructions + Updated Readme Also added a .env.example file for reference! :) Honestly, I did take some help from Gemini for debugging but that was cause I used “message:” instead of “text:” in the response block Anyways, It was about time it was over!
Ships:
I made a slackbot under the “Make a Slack Bot” mission and completed it around 1.3 hours! Currently these three commands work- /baguette-ping : Pings the bot for it’s latency /baguette-help: Lists all availaible commands for the @baguette slack bot /baguette-dog : Gives a picture of a dawg I have a lot of more commands and api features in mind for this and hope to make it a better welcoming bot :)
Baguette Slackbot, A welcomer bot for my personal channel, which can perform the following tasks- Commands- /baguette-ping : Pings the bot for it’s latency /baguette-help : Lists all commands by the @baguette slack bot. /baguette-dog : Fetches an image of a dawg from the dog.ceo dog API! /baguette-flip : Randomly flips Heads or Tails. /baguette-quote : Fetches the quote of the day from ZEN QUOTES zen! /baguette-customs-incident : Tells the lore behind the customs… (in_channel)(joke_command) EVENT Subscriptions– Checks for user entry into my channel ONLY “Mk1A-NotDefined” and sends a welcome message. 🔒 Replies with “Did someone order a FRESH BAGUETTE” to a message containing “Mk1A” and CCs me to the response message, in_channel. I would definitely update this later on but I have more projects to get to so I guess this is it! :) Hope to keep learning...

Today I worked on the reentry system for pantry reantry and fixed a bunch of annoying physics bugs, especially the crazy jittering when the ship got far from the origin. Today I worked on a space reentry style simulation and spent most of my time getting the gravity and camera systems feeling right. this devlog is a mistake! i accidentally transferred 2 hours via lapse onto this project, instead of youtubeds i accedentally clicked this project. ive gone to help on slack, but the ABSOLUTE CLANKERS there said “there is no way to” like bro why did you reply then
i have decided, that becuse stardance has been extended, i am going to convert pantry reantry, to hdrp!! lit shaders look much better there, and the particles are gonna be volumetric. this game is going to look fabulous! for shipwright: i get whats happening now. how do i have 8 hours? i havent been on unity that much in the past 2 weeks! its because VScode tracks “ple0017’ SO WHENEVER I USE VSCODE, WHATEVER IT MAY BE IM DOING, IT TRACKS HERE. if fraud squad is seeing this you may remove some of these hours, i wasnt vscoding for unity the whole time!!!
ive been working for a while!! so, for the past 2 and a half hours, i have as promised converted the entire project to HDRP, because stock unity looks horrible. i have made a few desicions, including removing the planet entirely and just spawning a blue circle with c#, and removing the particle systems nd swapping them out for PLASMA MESHES! i have made a quick UI using c# here is a image (theres a burning up bean shelf)
pantryReeantry IS FINISHED!!! i have added a settings menu, becuse youre gonna have to download the game, i did some work on github stuff and i uploaded it to itch.io. this has really been a great journy and this MAY be my last project on stardance, because it is ending in about 2 weeks. i hope you like the project! here is a gameplay image of a piano burning up.
Ships:
THIS is pantry reentry. a game where you throw houshold objects, into the atmosphere. it includes: 8 different objects UNITY HDRP shaders plasma meshes, instead of particles. offline play portability (downloadable .exe) please leave me a good rating, i hope you enjoy the game!...

This Project is a continue work imported from macondo and will continue in stardance
Final updates and changes to schematics of my project 2d matrix display. I tried making it more neater and organized than before. I removed all the excess text and other interferences. I think it is done. But I do think I have to make some changes after I make it physically [Maybe].
In the devlog, I got all the components required and started the assembling process. Unfortunately I had to check all the leds before using them and turned out some of them were fused. I still have to solder everything and also code the esp32.
In the devlog, I add the other components which were not added in the previous devlog. I was confused between two resistors about their resistance so I just calculated it. I had a little trouble getting the components in the right place but I figured it out. So, this is how it looks till now. I think will work on the programming the microcontroller or maybe soldering the components in the next devlog.
In this devlog, I started to solder all the components which I assembled in last devlog. First, I soldered all the anode pins of individual leds Secondly, I started to solder all the cathode pins of all the individual leds Then, I started to connect[solder] the anodes pins to make columns, that when my soldering wire ran out. Perhaps, I must have a good stock of it. That’s All
In this devlog, I continued my work by soldering the rest of the led’s pins[i.e. anode, cathode]. I did the best I can still I made some mistakes. Perhaps, I am still a beginner. Now, Soldering [About to finish, Last phase] Circuit [Checked] Microcontroller [Yet to program] That’s All.
In this devlog, I was planning to finish my soldering but it went wrong. Here’s what happened, I bought enough soldering wire for my project[The last picture below] and was ready to finish all the soldering work of my project. As I was working through, the worst thing happened, my Soldering Iron BROKE [the Tip]. I guess this project is gonna take long time.[There is a picture of Broken Tip too.]. That’s all.
In this devlog, So, It has been long since I last worked on this project. So, working on this gives me a long feeling. I suppose, this project has taught me a lot. Any way, I continued the assembling work and almost at the end. Made some minor file updates and also added a BOM.file . Since this was my first ever website and I only had about 2-3 hours to build it, Time management was a big hurdle. On top of that handling responsive layout without CSS framework and making sure smooth navigation work alongside the scroll-based header zoom animation took some tweaking. I’m proud that I took the initiative to read W3Schools documentation, figure out low-level concepts on the fly, and build a clean, dependency-free site from scratch in one sitting. Done with my CSS code! It only took about 25–30 minutes—pretty fast. I used Gemini to grab the background color code and a few styling tweaks, but wrote the rest myself. Moving on to JavaScript now, shouldn’t take too long!
It’s finally done i thought i should just keep going and didnt devlog the JS i just completed it my personal website. Built a minimalist, dark-themed Website using pure HTML, CSS, and JS. -Design: Carbon Black (#0b0f19) & Crystal Red (#ff3366) theme. -Features: Fullscreen hero section, scroll-triggered fade-ins, random idea generator, and a smooth Back to Top button. Repo: https://github.com/unknownmaloo/personal-website
Ships:
I built a minimalist, dark-themed personal website from scratch using HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript (no external heavy frameworks). It features a full screen hero section scroll triggered section fade-in animations using IntersectionObserver, an intrective idea generator. When I looked at other entries, I briefly felt like mine couldn’t compare, but I realized that everyone starts somewhere and this is just the beginning of my learning journey. You can test the live website directly in any desktop or mobile browser at- live link: https://unknownmaloo.github.io/personal-website/ Source Code: https://github.com/unknownmaloo/personal-website If anyone notices any bugs or has feadbacks, plez let me know!...

I still haven’t chosen a name for the project yet, but after an embarrassing amount of time (and unfortunately a bit of AI help) I finally have a functional basic search bar with the ability switch providers. For search providers I chose: Ecosia (default) Startpage Brave search Qwant These may change in the future but I plan to move onto adding widgets and other features first.
I’ve decided on Frutiger-Tab ! A Frutiger-Aero themed search tab. Roadmap: Added an aesthetic design with subtle blurring Added a functional shortcuts system for four customisable shortcuts saved locally Add more wallpaper options Finalize usability and compatibility Give it a go at Frutiger-Tab .
Almost finished! Added the final functions I need before shipping just need to add a few things to improve useability Added various wallpaper options including Nasa’s daily astronomy image (only via the github page not self hosted) Added dark/light themes (although slight styling bug in attached image) Allow dark/light preference to overrride device theme Add button to enter search AI disclosure: The Nasa api integration was fully AI generated as NASA had introduced a new setup and the official documentation website was down so my attempts failed.
All Done! Added search button Checked usability Fixed bugs
Added search history widget This small section shows up to four of your most recent searches and they are functional so you can click them to revisit. Probably will reship to include this.
Ships:
Frutiger Tab A new tab search page featuring: A modern Frutiger-Aero style 4 customizable shortcuts Multiple themed wallpapers (including NASA’s daily photo) 4 choices of search engine Dark/Light themes Had fun using local website cache to store customized features. I tried to make it as polished as possible so most of the time was spent adjusting design features. Disclaimer: I don’t know how well it works on Safari so I recommend using Firefox or Chrome.

This is a website os that is about me, basically kinda like a portfolio website. The website also has a menu that you can browse pages with; it works very well. I plan to add more features and changes to the website
I have added a new projects window to my os to showcase my projects. I also added a fail safe if the shutdown doesn’t close the window, a message will pop up
I have added a weather app for my website os, it takes data from openweathermap’s json, then it tells it to the website the data, I also have finished window functionality and tweaked a bit of shut down function. Everything should be good now :)

I made a website os about myself as a student, the challenging part was making windows and styling, I overcame them by trials and errors and learning how I can fix more mistakes in the future. I’m proud of how good this project looks to me as someone who loves messing with operating systems and a beginner to frontend....

worked on my coding language a bit :D I made the display!!! so basically i’ve implemented what i said in the docs and i think its working pretty good. i should probably add a requirements.txt but for now, yeah its good. hope everyone has a good day!
ok im stupid wow suprise so basically i have been writing ram and stufff to a file called STORAGE.SV but thats the main problem. it takes actually quite a while to write to a separate file instead of just getting it from a list in the python script huhughousdhguofsguohsfuogf now i kinda have to rewrite like half the code igdaihdagodgaohgdaohu when i do actually implement it in Assembly or in an actual x00 computer (which is another project of mine which uses SimpleTon as it’s main language) it will be ALOT faster but for now for the python port its not greatly optimized…. also i made a favicon but it kinda resembles the state of this project rn lmao
more coding yay finished it up and it is ready for shippinggg
Ships:
I made a really cool coding language that is similar to assembly but easier to learn and can run on a lot of devices (even old commodores have the processing power to run it!) and with a larger community working on it, we can all make some really cool programs!...

Devlogs:
Just completed the backend, I completed the setup of mongodb databse, and betterauth authentication, i still need to work on the front end.
Just created the ui of the homepage, using reference from the design language of another website.
In the older versions when the user was signed in, it would still show the sign in button on the navigation bar, now it shows a profile picture and a option to logout. In the previous versions it would also require a login everytime you clicked on a blog now it only does that once, also in previous versions it would require a login everytime the page refreshed i also fixed that so now you stay signed in.
Added the functionality to like, comment and share, also fixed some errors in mongodb where the posts were not syncing with the database correctly
The project is complete, I deployed the website to vercel and created a github repository for it
Removed the useless and weird elements that the AI agent had added, that I did not notice initially, now the website is much more refined, I also changed the font

V1 is now ready, and we’re still fixing bugs and improving things. I’d love for you to explore the platform, test its features, and share any feedback or bugs you find. I’ve been working on MindState, a platform I’m helping build to support young people’s mental health and encourage civic engagement. Today I worked on the website, fixed some bugs, improved parts of the design, and set up email verification for user accounts. There’s still a lot to build, but it’s exciting to see everything slowly come together!
Made a wholesale amount of changes and fixes in the platform, though I cannot add all in here, I’ll keep y’all updated and will soon drop the github!
Finally finished everything, soon gonna add the github repo and publish the platform without any bugs!
Final bugs solving and UI refining is done! Shipping the project.
Pushed all the code on github!

Built MindState, an open platform where young people can share their stories, express themselves, and feel heard. I worked on the UI/UX and development, building features like articles, journaling, mood tracking, community contributions, and more. The biggest challenge was making everything feel simple and welcoming while handling user data carefully, especially since the platform deals with mental health. V1 is now ready, and we’re still fixing bugs and improving things. I’d love for you to explore the platform, test its features, and share any feedback or bugs you find. Still a lot to build, but excited about how far we’ve come!...
