Devlog #1: Basic foundation I decided to pause on my other projects for a bit and get started on this. In the past hour, i just created a foundation to devlop my project for this mission. I added a huge live clock and under it i added a field that displays a quote that comes from the DummyJSON api and under it some hyperlinks to github, stack overflow, and youtube. So, quite simple and nothing too complicated
Devlog #2: Finished Product I managed to finish this entire misson in two sittings, and the final result looks absolutely nothing like what I started with cus i decided to change most of the stuff. I kind of forgot the purpose of the project is to create a new tab page and was drifing away. so i scratched the quote and added an input field right in the middle right under the time. Devlog #3: Final submission with README and other changes I finalised the readme.md and added some small changes to the website so it looks better.

after uploading all my files to github (it’s an absolute mess) and switching operating systems to use fusion360, i was really proud of myself. that was until i found out i got my dimensions wrong and the DXF diagram didn’t fit. i think i’ll create the schematic and pcb of my own macropad in kicad instead of the guide’s and i’ll figure out modelling the keyboard housing later
after researching how to do a switch matrix in kicad, you could say i’m a professional. I did my own schematic, and… absolutely failed when making the pcb. i simply don’t know how to wire yet :c genuinely so embarrassed of the pcb i wont even put a screenshot here...

So lots of people were not able to open my project (probably because it did not work on Mac, and to open it on Mac they had to install some stuff), so I decided to switch from CustomTkinter to Streamlit, and now it runs on the web! The Streamlit app looks a lot better than the old one(if you have any ideas, I am all ears). I also lowered the Epoch number so it does not train itself as quickly. Clicking it runs the network through 3000 epochs(1 epoch is one full pass through of all the data) of training, then redraws the canvas with the updated weights and shows the current loss number, you can now visually see the colors and thickness of the lines changing. I also added a loss counter on the right of the screen to show the amount of loss, and how each time you click train the loss goes down until it reaches near zero(0.0001, it will never reach 0, it will just infinitely go toward zero, but we won’t be able to see the change). The hardest part was that nothing visually changed on screen, and I assumed it was a color/contrast problem with how I was rendering the weights. I spent time tuning the color logic before realizing the bug: I had written using the wrong method leading to it not updating the visuals. I figured it out after I realized that the network was just asking which weights caused the mistake and nudging them in the direction that reduces the error. Why am I building this? Because you can see more information clearly, and what path and connections the network is using, something a terminal can’t show you. And it just looks cool To test it works, I trained it on XOR which stands for exclusive or and returns 1 only when one input is 1. Next up: the UI"}]...

First Devlog! I’m building a neural network visualizer to help you see how the network trains itself. Today I finished the math layer of the project such as passing inputs through the network(made up of neurons which decide how strongly to fire based on the inputs), calculating how much weight(How strong a connection is between two neurons) contributed to the error and nudging every weight and bias to reduce the error. I used NumPy to do this because of speed as it was more efficient at running due to being programmed in C(as well as python) and it had built in matrix math functions. The hardest part was understanding backpropagation specifically how the error gets calculated backwards through every layer using the chain rule from calculus. Next up: the UI
I updated the UI on the canvas to where it shows circles for neurons, connected by red and blue lines that have differing thicknesses. The red lines are positive weights, and blue lines are negative weights. The thickness of the line shows how much weight it has. Thicker lines have stronger weight magnitude, and thinner lines have weaker weights, the hardest part was actually making it symmetrical and look good, this took an hour to do. Next, I am going to make the train button actually work to show the canvas draw itself out so see the neural network build.
Today I got the Train button actually working. Once I fixed that line, the canvas started updating correctly and the color changes I’d built earlier were finally visible. Next I am going to add a reset button and possibly live animation during training instead of only seeing the result after it finishes.
I added a reset button so users will be able reset the network, and train the data again without having to close the app and run again. Clicking the button creates a new NeuralNetwork object, tells the canvas to swap in the new network and redraw, and resets the loss label back to blank.
First Dev log after the first ship!!!!!! Now I am working on creating the reset button again, and am using some of the feedback I got on my app during the ship, and making it more interactive and animated.
Ships:
I made a Neural Playground app in which you can visualize a neural network training itself. This was challenging, as I had never created UI with python before, and the math was also challenging. Some things you should know is that windows might show a blue screen saying that they are protecting you computer from this app, to bypass it just click more info and then run anyway. Also for mac you will need to download the project open it in an IDE and then install a package then run. You can get more detailed information in the README....

I finally got more apps and fixed the camera on my WebOS. I’m learning more about HTML and Java integrations, especially through the .innerText command in Java. This is my last devlog on this project and I will be moving onto my next step in learning coding. My journey will be tough but I will get there. In my last devlog, I fixed a lot of bugs that there were.
I just made the OS look better!!! I created a new drawing pad feature and made the OS look more futuristic and go along with the theme.

Devlogs:
Made a rough prototype of 1/4 of the transparent sheets with the arcs on OnShape. Will try to further improve, if I struggle I might just go back to Blender. (I’m new to CAD T-T)
Went back to blender to make a much better prototype of the transparent disk with the pie slices. I should really learn CAD
Finished the Template in blender then moved on to start modelling each of the disks. I got two numbers working till now. Will make the rest with a bit more time.
Sheet 1 is Done!!! Lesgo I probably have to remake the entire thing as there are tolerance issues from making the pie slices in blender. gaining some momentum finally
Made all of the required disk on Affinity. I tried to do a test with all the layers within the app. Soon realisted that i need to angle every layer so that the numbers dont look crooked. Gotta redesign the entire thing again (yay)
Fixed the tilt by tilting the numbers independently. All 4 sheets are done!! Next up is modelling how to move the pieces individually (more CAD T-T)
Sketched the to-scale designs for the sheets, made about 6 sheets of sketches for reference for the upcoming 3D Modelling. Give or take, consider it an idea 70% done. Gears to be drawn. The sketches align well, with a common center. ~Adithya S Nair (Team Designer)
Finally got the gear ratios and teeth intertwined properly. I duplicated the thing and I’m starting to animate it. Soon posting the video demo link. stay tuned!
Done animating! Check it out https://youtu.be/OlERzJMozBw
Scaled the entire project to irl scale and animated the gears to scale. Only 1/4th of the disk is now teethed. servo model added. Check out the final Animation here: https://youtu.be/dpsFsUzoGjg
Made G-code files for attempting to use a cnc milling machine to cut out the main gears. Wish me luch cuz i gotta figure out the cnc software now
Added a proper ReadMe. Somehow i missed making a proper one till now. Sorry and Thank you review team for pointing it out! https://github.com/b-b-bheeshma/ChronoStack/blob/main/README.md
Added a GIF and links to the BOM on github as recommended by moderators. Thank you for the funding approval!!
I received my 3D printed and electronics parts finally! I’ve made some basic working code to fetch time from ntp servers and use them to set the servos to a set angle. Now I gotta hook up the ESP electrically to check if everything works. Wish me luck!! Code is updated on my GitHub. I know its not optimised and thats just how i like it :P
Made the first disks from acrylic with a scalpel, pliers and sandpaper T_T. Also stuck the gears to the servos with epoxy clay.
All disks now have the slits at their required angles (8deg black 2deg clear). I got the sheets printed out rather than painting them in because, well..
All disks are now done!
The disks are stackale and ready but stacking them on the gears makes it a huge tolerance pain and this is unfortunately all i will be able to ship. I wont stop trying tho!
Assembled the build to this point. Gotta stick down all the parts and finish a test code to run on this to showcase it doing its thing, althought the alignments are definitely off

(Different variations of the base colour - which is now changeable in the settings!) I also used HSLuv instead of just HSL (which I tried before and thought it didn’t do much but now I realise it did help make everything nicer). I also added an effect so when you press on buttons it decreases the border radius a bit! And lastly I thought I’d fix some issues super quick due to the increased layout diversity from the settings but ended up spending much longer on them than expected, those being the jumpyness of the settings dropdowns (so I removed the animations and fixed it up a bit more and also fixed the flowlayout because it turns out everything is broken), fixed scrollbars inside other scrollbars, and probably more I forgot."}, {"post_id": 65060, "ts": "2026-09-09T22:07:39Z", "hours": 4.7747, "text": "Tweaked the colours lots and I’m now quite happy with how it’s at! Don’t worry that it looks kinda bad right now, I had to learn UI design from scratch for this, and I will improve it soon. Made all the colours (well, most of them for now) generate based on a base colour and added a light and dark theme! I also made the Android navigation icons and the svgs change between light and dark properly. I spent quite some time trying to implement HSLuv or HCT in the hopes it would improve the colours but ended up scrapping that due to many reasons, including too much extra stuff, wasn’t making much (or any) difference, and my HCT implementation was just so broken and I wasn’t bothered to try and fix it. Also some parts are now extra broken, I’ll fix them soon too don’t worry! I had to devlog this in case I went over 10h by accident, hopefully will be resolved before the next one"}, {"post_id": 62540, "ts": "2026-09-05T23:38:38Z", "hours": 4.4194, "text": "Improved some UI layouts, clarified a sentence or two in the conversation, reordered the tasks page, made selecting the title in the task overlay hide the buttons (to make it easier to see), fixed some visual bugs (maybe?), improved some icons, changed ‘today’ to ‘starred’ (and made it not clear at the end of the day; I wanted to plan for the future) and last but not least I made the grey background for some of the overlays reach past the navigation AT LAST! Devlogs:
Added the very basic interface! The reason it took so long was because I had zero idea how to compile anything and took way too long figuring that out. But it can compile for desktop or mobile now! (although desktop is only for testing)
Added more to the UI layout, including a settings (with accordian sections) and new tasks (currently empty) page!
Added an item input field with a bottom bar with utilities in it!
Added a bottom bar to the task input including some utility functions like move up and down, a sample highlight that can get modified with the + and - timer buttons and a scrollbar!
Added a parser for conversation backend data and an options list and text box to display it in!
Dramatically improved the backend for the conversation, adding many new features!
Added a basic scene!!
Added task groups and an add, rename, and delete task group button that do things! Deleting, naming collisions and other problems are also handled with dialogues! Also added a slightly better colour scheme
Fixed a lot of bugs in the tasks area; including resizing issues, inability to scroll, and wrapping problems.
Added an importance slider, an info text and some minor things to the task overlay
Added a qualities screen to add qualities to tasks by clicking on the buttons and a lot of backend work to make everything run smoother and easier to code!
Implemented many extremely minor things brought up from user feedback, including: adding titles to the category and task list, using e.g. +2.5h instead of #E for counting time, improved the importance selection layout, ordering tasks, improving done task formatting (with tick and strikethrough) and other even more minor things!
Spent the whole time working on a date selector! Also added text about the due date, e.g. “was due yesterday”, “due next Monday (in 5 days)”, etc.
Implemented a bunch of small improvements and fixes to the calendar popup and date highlight!
Added the beginnings to the task importance system and implemented a cool task bottom text including progress, and also included that task progress in the task overlay popup at the bottom!
Worked on the conversation, improving the quality of texts and options, and added some new options and features! Also added some cool mathy functions for determining task urgency/load!
Spent pretty much the entire time working on the conversation choices and options (yes it’s that difficult). Also made some improvements to the backend (extra features making it easier/possible to do some things, fixed bugs). Still not done the conversation, will be another long stretch until I finish it but it’s nearly there!
Finalised the connection between the task engine and the conversation including adding variety, conversation suggestions knowing about the qualities and reasons, a significantly improved conversation (that’s almost done!!), a lot of conversation backend (including a custom parser for recursive synonym choices) and heaps more!
Added buttons to insert new lines above/below, saving information to an external file automatically and trimming whitespace off of some things (a small convenience when on mobile)
Finished the conversation! (It may change/get improved more later, but for now I’m happy with it!) I made many changes to some terrible phrasing choices I made previously (e.g. “But why won’t you do xyz? It’s super fun!” -> “You don’t have to do it if you don’t want to”), rewriting huge chunks of it and adding other huge chunks. (I hope you appreciate the dialogue, I’ve apparently spent 20 hours by now JUST on that, not even the code behind it) Also changed times to use +...m as well as +...h and included a preset range of times which are more on the short side to incentavise shorter tasks.
Added all sorts of cool things, including info in the settings page, bullet points to the text edits, changed the preset times and tasks, extra conversation features (failsafes and external functions), and improved the conversation some more (because it was fun)!
Did various small improvements, including: Many many bugfixes, rearranging the task and settings display to have buttons on the bottom (from user feedback), a help screen, a ‘move task to another category’ button and dialogue (which I cannot believe I forgot about until now) and added another purpose in the conversation for the user designated reason (so it actually gets shown sometimes)!
Improved the “X weeks away” text (which was just wrong before) and added a today toggle and category button!
I thought I was done but turns out I forgot to add scrolling to the tasks list, so it would cause large issues if there were many tasks (or if the screen height was very low, as it does get on mobile when the keyboard is up)
Added an app icon and FINALLY got around to actually drawing the Grapefruit character! Also improved some parts of the conversation a bit more, improved the default tasks, improved the date importance calculations a smidge and fixed many tiny issues. It should now be DONE!
Improved some UI layouts, clarified a sentence or two in the conversation, reordered the tasks page, made selecting the title in the task overlay hide the buttons (to make it easier to see), fixed some visual bugs (maybe?), improved some icons, changed ‘today’ to ‘starred’ (and made it not clear at the end of the day; I wanted to plan for the future) and last but not least I made the grey background for some of the overlays reach past the navigation AT LAST! So now the title bar doesn’t look off when the overlays are open!
Added dynamic colours! I had to devlog this in case I went over 10h by accident, hopefully will be resolved before the next one
Tweaked the colours lots and I’m now quite happy with how it’s at! Added auto generating colours for everything I didn’t before (the calendar, settings, importance and some buttons in overlays) Saved the dark/light theme to a settings file And fixed a bug with the confirm and move overlays being a strange fixed width!
I did a bunch of work on the settings and added a “theme”! (Different variations of the base colour - which is now changeable in the settings!) I also used HSLuv instead of just HSL (which I tried before and thought it didn’t do much but now I realise it did help make everything nicer). I also added an effect so when you press on buttons it decreases the border radius a bit! And lastly I thought I’d fix some issues super quick due to the increased layout diversity from the settings but ended up spending much longer on them than expected, those being the jumpyness of the settings dropdowns (so I removed the animations and fixed it up a bit more and also fixed the flowlayout because it turns out everything is broken), fixed scrollbars inside other scrollbars, and probably more I forgot.
I improved how tasks are made, making the task overlay centred instead of to the side, changed “reasoning” into “goals” which is easier to understand and still useful, reduced the number of qualities and added some new ones similar to the old reasoning (e.g. ‘obligation’ & ‘reward’), came up with MUCH better sample tasks and fixed a small issue with the bottom bar!
Ships:
I finally decided I had done enough and it was really good! This app contains the conversation, a scene with Grapefruit in it, a basic settings page with not much in it, a tasks manager with categories (including a today category) and tasks with importance, reasoning, qualities, items! Also has a great bottom bar for easier text editing and has everything layed out in a mobile-friendly manner! Installation instructions are in the README
FIXED THE UI with dynamic colours and themes! Fixed some layouts Improved how tasks are made (including a not overwhelming amount of qualities and changed the ambiguous “reasoning” into a much less so “goals” As well as many minor also cool things! (See the devlogs after ship 1 for the full account)...

started schematics I’m thinking of adding a diode in the key matrix layout so that there is no ghosting in the hek-pad. I wont be able to do much because of my exams. I will get back on as soon as the exams are over.
i fixed the matrix. im trying to fix the slider pin value problems. i will start the 3d modleing or coding next.
i fixed up the neo-pixel problem, i miss took the tiny leds for the ws2812b kind, so i fixed that and the project passed the E.R.C.
I did a lot of work, I printed out the schem sheet and matched it with the actual dimensions and all, but the prb is I didn’t realize that the keyboard switches were too far apart… I have to delete all the wiring before shifting the keyboard switches back and then rewiring….. HELP
This is the last of the PCB editor. I ran DRC and it came back without errors and warnings.
I think I’m finally done with the PCB, I know I said it before but the board exceeded the max board size. i had to rearrange it and also added some random silkscreen art. I have a few parts that StarDance does not provide. :-)
I’m creating the 3d print now. I its sooo hard cos my laptop does not have a gpu. :-(
i got a lot of work done today, I’m getting more familiar with fusion 360. I have to fix the angle it slopes at. Its currently too low it will probably get cut off by the slider other ways.
I fixed the slope problem but I think its gonna cause a new problem… the oled may not fit on the elevated plain. The capacitors seem like they wont fit but ill just bend it down sideways....
