I’ve been working on my IR Signal Emulator , which is basically a circuit that copies IR signals from almost any remote, saves them into memory, and retransmits them later. Since most IR protocols don’t encrypt their data, the emulator can imitate the original remote. My goal isn’t only to make it work, but also to understand why it works. Here’s what I accomplished today. ✅ Added FOTA (Firmware Over The Air) I integrated the ArduinoOTA library so I can upload firmware to my ESP32 over Wi-Fi instead of connecting a USB cable every time. I mainly did it because I wanted to try something new. It wasn’t that hard to implement, but understanding what the library actually does internally took much longer than writing the code itself. While researching, I wrote a lot of notes on paper. I’m planning to turn everything I learn during this project into a few PDF files and upload them to GitHub once the project is finished. Hopefully they’ll help someone else who’s learning the same things. ✅ Enabled IR Reception The receiver started receiving signals… but there was a problem. The Serial Monitor kept printing random signals with an UNKNOWN protocol even when I wasn’t touching the remote. After a bit of investigation, I realized my circuit was sitting next to a window. Since sunlight contains infrared radiation, I moved everything into a nearly dark room. Most of the random signals disappeared immediately. Unfortunately, the receiver still couldn’t detect my remote. I couldn’t find the datasheet for my exact IR receiver. The only one I found was for another module with the same name but different dimensions, so after several random attempts I finally figured out the correct wiring by myself. Once I rewired it, the receiver immediately started detecting valid signals. That was probably the most satisfying moment of the day. ✅ Added an IR Noise Filter Even in a dark room, a few random signals still appeared. Instead of ignoring them, I wanted to understand why. That led me to spend a couple of hours learning how the IRremoteESP8266 library works, what raw timing data actually means, and how the library recognizes different protocols. In the end, I built a simple filter: Ignore every UNKNOWN protocol. Ignore signals whose raw timing is below a chosen threshold. If you’re interested in this topic, let me know. I wrote pages of notes while researching it, and I’d like to convert them into PDFs and upload them with the project. ✅ Enabled IR Transmission Next, I added: An IR LED A Save button A Send button A Delete button This part actually went much faster than I expected. ✅ Debugging This was definitely the hardest stage. The first bug was that if Wi-Fi failed to connect, the rest of my code never executed. The second one took me much longer to understand. The received signal wasn’t being saved correctly. After several hours of debugging, I discovered that the problem wasn’t the receiver—it was my program logic. Since the loop() function runs thousands of times every second, the variable holding the received signal kept getting overwritten by new data before I pressed the Save button. The solution was simply to keep a copy of the last valid signal instead of relying on the receiver’s working variable. Honestly, that bug taught me much more about how the library works than I expected. ❓ Question I spent almost the entire day researching, reading documentation and debugging, but WakaTime only logged about 5 hours because most of that time wasn’t spent writing code. Does anyone know a good way to track research hours as well?"}]...

I edited the README file and add a demo video link , and journal the evolution of this project

To accomplish this I added many different smaller functions, then combined them all together to get the final result. This allowed me to test each part individually to ensure they all worked. I also added this to the UI of the app, which you can see in the image. Devlogs:
Devlog 01: This is the first devlog of the FormCheck project, an Android app that helps you check your form during workouts. Currently I just set everything up in Android Studio, connected Hackatime, and set up GitHub.
Devlog 02: I added the initial video selection interface. I added some text to describe the app, and a button for the user to be able to select a video to upload. Currently, the button does not do anything. Next I will have to continue working on the button and the actual pose estimation part of this.
Devlog 03: I added the file picking dialogue. Now whenever you click the “Select a video” button the android folder picker opens and you can choose a video. I think next is working on the actual pose detection logic.
Devlog 04: I added functions for measuring the angle based on three points (the joints). Basically how this works is that it first takes in three points, the first endpoint, a vertex, and a second endpoint. Then it uses the dot product formula with the two vectors to find the angle between the two lines.
Devlog 05: Today I added landmark storage and reliability tests. What this is is basically a new object that can store a point, its visibility, and presence. The point is the point itself, the visibility says how well the object can be seen, and the presence determines how much of the object is actually in the video frame. These three factors help determine how well the video can be analyzed. If the video cannot be analyzed well enough, then FormCheck will send a message saying so (This hasn’t been implemented yet, but this is the basic idea of why this is there in the first place).
Devlog 06: I added the landmark quality gate, which helps determine whether the visibility and presence of the point meet the minimum requirements. If it does, then it passes. If it doesn’t, then the point fails. From here there are two options, either the app tries to find another point, or the app says it cannot reliably determine your form from that video I also added the AI use log. I mainly did this because I will be submitting this to the Congressional App Challenge.
Devlog 07: I changed the emulator from being on device to remote via Firebase. This allows me to test the app cleanly without lagging my computer. The only problem is I get a limited 30 minutes per month, so I have to use them wisely. I also updated the Point2D function to reject non-finite points. This prevents errors on the future. I also added a class that combines all the other functionality into one. It returns an OptionalDouble, which is useful when you don’t know if you are going to get a result. This new function accepts three LandmarkObservations, Then if the result is valid, it returns the angle degrees between the points. If not, it returns nothing.
Devlog 08: I finally added the MediaPipe dependency, as well as a few functions. First of all I also added the Pose Landmarker Full model for it to actually detect poses. Then I created a manager function to initialize and close MediaPipe. I then added a function that could process an already decoded video frame with a timestamp using MediaPipe. I added tests for all of these to ensure they work when the app runs, and updated all the logs.
Devlog 09: Now the app stores the selected video’s Uri in an activity field, meaning it can be accessed for later processing instead of only the status text. Also frame timestamps can now be generated. This means that you can input the video duration as well as the interval that you want the timestamps to be generated, then you will get a set of timestamps for the video. The video metadata can also now be read. It uses Android’s MediaMetadataRetriever to open the video. Currently only the duration of the video can be retrieved, but later you will be able to decode individual frames. Finally I added tests for all of these. For the metadata retriever specifically I uploaded a test video to confirm that I could get an accurate measurement. Also updated the documentation.
Devlog 10: This time was some meaningful upgrades. First of all I added a function to extract a bitmap from a video given a timestamp. Then I added a separate function in order to convert that bitmap into an MPImage. This allows me to access it from anywhere. Finally I created a new class that combines the decoding, conversion, and pose processing tasks into one pipeline. I also added tests for all of these. Currently only one frame processes, but soon I will start to improve this.
Devlog 11: Now I added a few things. First I added a function that can sample frames at different intervals and stores the MediaPipe result with the timestamp of the frame. I also added hip/knee/ankle extraction for both sides and also confidence-based leg section. Codex wrote a few methods (2-3), and I wrote the rest. I then added timestamped knee angle measurements, and also connected the leg selector to the angle calculator. Finally, I added a sequence analyzer that keeps the valid measurements and skips the unclear frames. I added test for all these functions. There is a little more than this, but this is the gist of what I have been working on right now.
Devlog 12: I added some more meaningful upgrades this time. I added functionality so that the app could detect a real squat repetition. This works by combining this with the pose sequence analyzer, which contains poses and their timestamps. By mapping the angle formed by the hip, knee, and ankle at different intervals of the video, the app is able to detect if the angle got gradually lower, then gradually got higher. If these angles pass the thresholds needed to create a straight leg angle and a squatted down angle, then we can conclude that a squat repetition was performed. To accomplish this I added many different smaller functions, then combined them all together to get the final result. This allowed me to test each part individually to ensure they all worked. I also added this to the UI of the app, which you can see in the image. Finally I added real video validation, which basically means that I tested the current state of the app with a real video of a person doing a squat. The app was able to successfully recognize the repetition of the squat.
Devlog 13: This devlog was mostly some final touches. I did add 3 things, though. The first of which is a frame progress display on the UI. This shows the user of many of the total frames have been processed after they start the analysis. Second, I added some text that was a disclaimer on the limitations of the analysis. The next step is probably going to be actually implementing feedback.
Devlog 14: I started preparing for the feedback. I am planning to mostly give feedback on timing/tempos, so I started adding some functions for that. The first thing I did was correct the scaling of video coordinates before calculating knee angles to ensure higher accuracy. Then I added a lowering-time estimator that looks for sustained movement instead of just angles at timestamps. I ensured to account for rectangular frames, leg switches, observation gaps, and timing integration. All tests passed. The next steps are actually providing feedback from this data, and then connecting this to the UI.
Devlog 15: I moved the app’s results onto a separate page so everything is cleaner. The new screen displays feedback, if a repetition was detected, and the timestamps. I check both a valid squat and an unsupported video to verify error messages. This took a long time because I had to learn how to use intents, and also how to use scrollable areas. I am finishing up the app, and almost ready to ship.
Devlog 16: Performed some final checks and implemented some final features. At first I was adding some features, then I noticed everything was repetitive. Because of this I handed some of the tasks to Codex so it could complete the repetitive tasks. It just added some more data to the results screen, a cancel button, and rotation support. I added most of the details on the results page.
Devlog 17: I completed the apk build and published FormCheck v1.0 on GitHub. I also added a Readme. I tested the apk on my emulator and did all finishing touches. This is my last devlog before I ship this project.

I built SiriusOS, a space-themed WebOS with multiple interactive windows and five apps: About, Terminal, Stargazer, Notes, and Calculator. The hardest part was coordinating window dragging, focus, and z-index behavior. I am especially proud of the interactive Stargazer and the polished no-password welcome flow. Open the demo, press ENTER, then launch several desktop apps to test the window controls....

I added silver upgrades that give you the air jump, wall jump, and slide boost abilities. (spending a couple minutes wondering why nothing was changing before realizing that changing public variables in the code and not in the inspector does nothing) Upgrades were also nerfed as they felt too powerful when I was playtesting, and they now actually reset when you die and start the game (i forgot to add a line to reset the static variables) I’ll probably ship this project soon but I’m still open to adding features after 1.0."}, {"post_id": 46721, "ts": "2026-08-14T05:21:51Z", "hours": 3.3803, "text": "FIRST DEVLOG IN A LOOONG TIME For the possibly zero people who are reading these devlogs, I’m finally gonna finish developing a playable version of the game. I was busy and then I kinda lost motivation. I’m finally back tho. The game is not gonna end up as ambitious as I planned it to have, and I decided to scrap many ideas such as ability recharging orbs and more room types, although maybe I’ll add those in the future if I get enough positive feedback. ANYWAYS heres the actual devlog part of the devlog Added one new ability: Recoil As pictured below, recoil fires something in the direction you are facing that knocks you backwards. I decided to give this ability three charges, so you can use it three times on a full charge. Abilities are now randomly given to the player at the start of the game."}, {"post_id": 28100, "ts": "2026-07-14T04:48:04Z", "hours": 6.0725, "text": "Two New Abilities I added two new abilities to the game, the obstacle destroyer and the teleport. Obstacle Destroyer: Sends out a (kinda) cool orb of particles from the player (which i accidentally deleted the VFX graph for and spent a while remaking). Nearby obstacles will shrink into oblivion, turning complex rooms into flatter ones. The block prefab has a seperate plane for each face so that the material can automatically tile according scale, so I put the script on the main component to simplify calling the method. Teleport: The ability pictured. It launches a ball from the player with added velocity. I used a rigidbody on the ball so that it would be able to bounce off walls and do other fun stuff. After a couple of seconds of bouncing around chaotically, the ball turns into a portal that instantly teleports the player to its position. I used a VFX Graph for the portal effect. I fixed the rigidbodies and colliders so the ball almost never bounces out of the map, teleporting you to your doom. Endless Runner Game V0.1.4 First Devlog!! The game is now in a somewhat playable condition. So far, the start and death menus, basic movement mechanics, and level generation mechanics are working. I started work on this sometime in the middle of May but I never finished it so I’ll probably continue working on it for this challenge. Fixed issues: Shaders not loading in itch Menus not scaling when going into fullscreen Mouse not unlocking after dying Connected project to github (finally) Deleted a couple of lines causing errors when building the project Here’s the itch.io link if you wanna check it out. https://drcooke123.itch.io/endless-runner-test
Endless Runner Game V0.1.5 Features: Stamina orbs now randomly spawn and will restore half of the players stamina when run into. The effect for the orb was made with the help of some VFX graph tutorials. Options menu now exists and can be used to adjust mouse sensitivity when in the game (dont set sensitivity to zero) Destruction of the rooms speeds up the farther you go (game becomes impossible after 500+ score, will be balanced later). Many other small QOL changes were made but are hardly worth noting. DEVLOG UPDATE: Changed project settings to use WebGPU so that the Visual Effects Graph displays on itch. Still slightly buggy due to WebGPU being experimental.
Upgrade Rooms Added upgrade rooms that spawn once in a while, stopping the destruction of the world until you leave them. I spent the bulk of the time deciding on how a button in the 3d space would detect when it was clicked, and finally settled on using a physics raycast. QOL: Added small dot in the middle of the screen denoting the cursor.
Upgrades have now been added alot with some other changes. I used a physics raycast similar to that of the button to select the upgrades. I also decided to not use static variables for changing stats when upgrades occur because they make the variables dissapear from the inspector. Various sound effects have also been added (thanks to pixabay). I used two audio sources on the player to seperate the looping sounds from the sounds that only play one time. (Im also trying out a new devlog format)
Broken Rooms + Movement Changes Broken Rooms can now spawn, and the chance of them appearing increases with the amount of upgrades you have. They are more difficult than normal rooms. I also reworked the movement system so that the x and z velocity gradually increase to the maximum speed to prepare for future additions.
Abilities Added The updated movement system allowed me to add more advanced abilities into the game. The two semicircles near the cursor show you the amount of charge you have on that ability. So far, there are two abilities. One makes you accelerate in the direction you are facing, while one gives you a massive horizontal boost but causes your camera to do a flip. I also added double jumps, wall jumps, and a slide ability that converts downwards momentum into forwards momentum. These will eventually be upgrades, but at the moment you have them all at the start for testing purposes.
Two New Abilities I added two new abilities to the game, the obstacle destroyer and the teleport. Credits: Gabriel Aguiar Prod on Youtube for VFX Graph tutorials
FIRST DEVLOG IN A LOOONG TIME For the possibly zero people who are reading these devlogs, I’m finally gonna finish developing a playable version of the game. Abilities are now randomly given to the player at the start of the game.
V1.0 BUILD!! The game is now in a playable state and it is also somewhat fun!!! I added silver upgrades that give you the air jump, wall jump, and slide boost abilities. (WAAAY BETTER THAN JUST HAVING THEM AT THE START) I also rebalanced the speed of the player so that the game actually felt fun but also increased the speed of the world collapse. (spending a couple minutes wondering why nothing was changing before realizing that changing public variables in the code and not in the inspector does nothing) Upgrades were also nerfed as they felt too powerful when I was playtesting, and they now actually reset when you die and start the game (i forgot to add a line to reset the static variables) I’ll probably ship this project soon but I’m still open to adding features after 1.0.
Ships:
An endless runner game focused on movement mechanics. You run through endless rooms carefully managing stamina and ability cooldowns while the world dissolves behind you. A much more detailed description is on the README file on github (click “See source code ->”)....

Created The figma design for the hero section. Looking forward for your feedback.
I changed the UI a bit to improve UX. Why add friction with an extra button when they can just simply do it here
Coded UI for mobile. Just btns and some final touches are left
So I manage to code the UI for desktop too, button is non functional and it seems a bit weird, the sizes and all but now I’m working on fixing it, and deploying my app
After Prompting AI for some improvements, and improving the overall UI and UX, Home page is completed! Its not live yet in prod, but PR created: https://github.com/anay-208/quorumly/pull/1
So, I finally completed the home page. Now the only thing pending is using better-auth anonymous authentication or smth similar to allow users to select their availability
So I did spend time trying to make things without figma and it didn’t work out well(AI really does’nt help that well)
After using some AI with Figma Screenshots, I was able to Cook Something!
after bug fixes, I’m finally done with first version of the app
The project is now open for contributions: https://github.com/anay-208/quorumly
Ships:

Title: DIY arcade machine by @Makkonen | Stardance Title: DIY arcade machine by @Makkonen | Stardance
Devlogs:
We made an arcade gaming machine using cardboard, logitech speakers, joystick,an old laptop running linux mint, tape and paint,an rgb strip in the back. The machine has artwork all over. The doors have an coin slot for payment. The machine runs an self made unity game that is controllable with the joystick and the project was made with @suklaasukkulayt
We remowed the existing joystick and speakers and replased them with an steering wheel and put an speaker inside the mashine so the sound quality is better, we added an sticker to the steering wheel and goed outside to get two rocks that we will put inside the mashine so it wouldnt be wobbly and unstable. We also added an new support for the laptop so it wouldnt fall,in the next devlog we will probably add controller support for the steering wheel and paint the places that dont have paint
We added an working door mechanism so the doors can actually close and stay shut(the steering wheel was blocking the doors),we also painted the arcade gaming machine from places that were not painted or the paint had gotten damaged. We finally got the controller support to work and now all the buttons are working and the game is now playable and an bit easier because of the steering wheel(yay) we also cable managed and added an antenna to the back but its only for decoration.
We did an MASSIVE map rewamp featuring humans who cheer for you, gas stations, red and blue fire, new plants and structures. In real life we added an ventilation system so the machine wouldnt overheat(the system now has an air filter and an fan) and we also added an wooden chair so you can play and sit, we also added an mechanic where you can press an button and the pov swiches so you can see begind the car, we added an new text blink in the press any button to start screen. We secured the black box around the screen. We added an lap system so you have to go 3 laps before winning. We also changed the boost text to english.
In this devlog we fixed many bugs (most of them were from the new features) Added a secret button to make AI start tweaking we added a difficulty changer that has easy (ai is slower and stars behind the player), Normal (just the same as always), Hard (the ai is faster and the player is slower) (actually hard without using shortcuts but still possible) Bumping into the AI car is better and funnier (it stops the car from fixing itself when being bumped into so it actually does something, before it did nothing) If you didn’t hit all checkpoints when going to the finish line the game lets you know it When you win the camera goes in the air on top of the AI car so you can see where it was If you fall through the ground the game now puts you where you were before falling instead of just teleporting you to the start like before.
We took the laptop out because we wanted to fix the lag issue caused by the temperature by making an airflow system into the machine. We also put an controls text where all of the controls have been listed, we also added an RFID reader into the machine so now when you scan an card it starts the game, we added an first person mode AND an FOV slider so now the game has more variety. We also fixed minor paint errors(where there wasnt paint we painted) and added an lauer of wax? Paint protector? Idk but now the paint shouldnt come off now. We also added an HackClub sticker to the thing that goes over the screen.
Ships:
Me and @suklaasukkulayt made an arcade gaming mashine using an old laptop, logitech speakers that use an aliexpress amplifier c64 mini controller, rgb strip, coin slot, artwork all around the case that are an space invaders alien and an car the machine plays an unity racing game that @suklaasukkulayt made that has an opponent,an large map, checkpoints, an boost button(B), an start menu,an restart button, one level and music. the case has two opening doors that lead to the storege where all of the cables are. The rgb strip is located at the back of the machine. The case is made using an cardboard box and tape that have been painted with black paint. This project would have not been possible without @suklaasukkulayt so an massive thanks to him....

Hello everyone!During the last few days I’ve been mainly working on improving the app and cleaning up some of the problems we had. A big part of my time went into fixing the window movement and making the UI feel smoother. I also worked on the tabs system and added the ability to drag them around. It took longer than expected because there were some annoying crashes that kept showing up, but after a lot of debugging everything is finally working much better.I also helped with some of the issues we had while sharing and syncing files through Git. Hello everyone! During the last few days I’ve been focusing on adding new elements to the UI. I implemented the main browser dropdown menu, which now includes all the standard options like Zoom controls and add a New Tab. I also built the new tab start page. It now features a greeting message and a row of quick-access shortcuts for websites like Google, GitHub, and YouTube. The AI chat window is now fully styled and integrated into the right sidebar. It includes the active chat view and an input field that supports both text messages and image dragging. Meanwhile, @adri_3763 is still working on the backend but now he is focused on the part of the setup interface and he is still improving it. That’s all for now. Thank you for reading
Hello everyone! During the last few days I’ve been focusing on improving the overall look and feel of the browser. I redesigned the UI to make it cleaner and more consistent while also giving the AI panel a completely new style that matches the rest of the interface. I also added smooth animations to the windows, making transitions feel much more polished. I fixed several bugs in the browser dropdown menu that appeared after the recent UI changes. I also resolved multiple issues affecting the window control buttons which had broken during the various interface updates. Meanwhile @adri_3763 is still working on the backend and is currently focused on improving the setup interface. That’s all for now. See you in the next devlog.
Hi guys,After a long break at the start of the month and a period of hard work, we finally fixed many bugs that were present in the browser. First of all, @adri_3763 and I added memory to the AI to make it smart so it can remember things. We added ad blockers too and the ability to set a personalized wallpaper. We added a button to copy the link from the search bar. On the homepage, we optimized the section for favorite websites and the media players. In the end we made some tests and optimized the code with AI to make it run smoothly and prevent lag. We are now ready to submit the work we did with so much effort. Thanks for everything, and I hope y’all will support us!
Hey guys! We are excited to announce that we made it. After solving those final bugs, refining a few features and running a lot of tests, we are almost ready to ship it. We add a lot of effort Can’t wait to hear your feedback!
Hey everyone! Quick update on our browser project. @adri_3763 and I spent the past week testing it on Linux VMs, fixing bugs and making a few improvements. It took a bit longer than we planned. The VMs were very slow most of the time, and we both had a busy week outside of coding too. Anyway, everything is running smoothly now. There are still some things we want to improve, but overall we’re happy with how it’s going. Feel free to try it and let us know what you think. Byee!

I built a ligthweight and beautiful browser with AI integrated. It was simple in the beginning but when we started to add more features we had so many bugs that came out of nowhere. After a lot of hard work, my friend @adri_3763 and I managed to fix them with some help from AI for debugging and UI styles. I am so happy to ship this project. Try out the new features such as: AI memory and AI chat I can’t wait to hear your opinion about the project....

Just spent 10mins trying to get an arraylist to work only to realise i just forgot to add a semicolon ;)
After ages, I finished my types, now i can make the game ;(
Wait, can’t do that yet, don’t want to make every Room individually, time for worldbuilding! 😭
Finally, after 3 hours of coding and bug fixing… I can read and parse a file :sigh:
After another 2hrs, you can finally play, just, without combat
Combat system fully finished! At last, you can sort of play.
Finally finished the shop system, so here’s a gif for you guys to enjoy
Added colours, because, you know, colour! :)
You can now save to a file, loading comes later! :)
Spent ages working on a workflow to make system binaries for a console java app, still not working… :sigh:
Finally, after all this time, i finished my workflow. I now have a new motto for life guys: “Never use github actions if you can’t be bothered to deal with random crap that never works”
Finished last bit of work After finally finishing coding my game and addressing ship notes, the next update should be the full release!
QOL Changes QOL changes including: The search command auto-picking up items Message displayed after using a potion Enemies you are fighting are displayed at the start of a combat Shops now tell you how much gold you have when opening You just put north, south, east or west, no need to prefix with ‘go’ anymore Technical changes: Moved room handling to handleRoom Moved help menu printing to printHelp removed help branch to be replaced by default case

D Title: Worm Game by @CHIMKEN_NOUGAT | Stardance
Devlogs:
a worm game, created a title and a basic format of the game
created some more features like speed and level options. and also is finalising the formats and text options
I added some of the requirements to go to next level, and more options like speed, level and length
I made the functions and maps of levels and features of specific things.
added a lot of the functions for each level and purposes of a lot of the commands
added the controls of the game, controls of arrow keys, wasd keys and some other random formats. also some functions of things.
I finished the game off, by making the prototype which makes it playable as a 2d game, made the corners and borders of the game
I fixed some bugs and errors in lines of code, and now the game is actually finished! I was also stuck committing the actual project and links, so ye I finished the project now.

I made a worm game, featuring 10 levels each getting harder, speed of worm increases each level too. I made a gym tracker for gym rats like me that realized that tracking workouts is one of the most important things in the gym, alongside tracking nutrients. By far the hardest thing was the multi device sync, and I am not proud of that, but I gave that work over to AI, this was done before I knew about stardance tho. However what I am proud of is the fronted store made with zustand! Not only can my project be tested completely account free, but the only features missing from the guest version are the multi device sync & logging. The rest of the features still work! The website is hopefully simple to understand and I hope you’ll think that as well. The way the website is meant to be experienced on a mobile device....
