Devlogs:
I’m building an app to calculate RAM speed in GB/s from the MT/s value that is commonly given. I haven’t gotten very far yet though.
Finally got it working (example shows data of my future PC). Check it out at https://hacker-anirudh.github.io/ramspeed-web/ !
I don’t know why I didn’t do this earlier, but now I added an “About” dialog and a license! (not live yet though, I need to add some other changes). While I’m at it, should I make downloadable binaries?
I decided to go ahead and upload it now. With an improved dialog and all the other improvement I’ve added.
After a bit of work, I have cleaned up the spaghetti code I had produced yesterday. For now it’s pretty useless, but if I ever decide to add any other functions (PCIe??) it will come in handy.
I found a linter called very_good_analysis as well, so the code is even cleaner now. Took forever to do though. The commits are piling up more than I’d like given I should be studying, but oh well.
Cupertino version is here guys!
I finally got around to adding another screen that calculates PCIe bandwidth. Was actually pretty straightforward.
I added a mode to switch between decimal and binary prefixes, as well as getting rid of spaghetti logic.
It’s been a long day, but I have some stuff to show for it! Firstly, I added persistence for all the settings. I also added both the Material and Cupertino designs, and you can choose which one you want to use!
To round it off, I made the selector responsive to your theme so you don’t suddenly get blinded in the night.
Ships:
Since I have exams now, I decided to start with something I’ve wanted to make for a while - a RAM speed calculator. It’s pretty simple, but it works reliably!
Funny thing that happened while shipping this: I want it to be v1.4.2 when shipping, because, of course, 42 is the answer to everything. However, I missed theming the selector for the initial 1.4.2, so I ended up just incrementing the build number for the patch. Aside from that, I think this is it for this project (what else could I possibly add?) Stay tuned for more!...

IELTS Only - Version 0.1.0 - Brand Kit Update
IELTS Only - Version 0.2.0 - Dashboard Update I tried my best to make it as simple as possible. How I have these lovely people art when my drawing is bad! The solution is that I sketched it and then using Nano Banana Pro to enhance my drawing.
IELTS Only - Version 0.3.0 - Authentication Update The logic is very straightforward: The user enters their email. If that email already exists in the database, they will be asked to enter their password. The system then checks the password and logs them in. If the email does not exist yet, the user will be asked to enter their name and create a password. After that, they will be logged in. This is my idea for combining login and registration into one simple flow. I use Supabase to store the user database, ensuring security and transparency.
IELTS Only - Version 0.4.1 - Setting Updates 0.4.0: Personal Information Update I build the pages for user to change their information. Moreover, they can also delete their account. The system will delete all the data belong to the UUID of the user to erase all their data. 0.4.1: Statistic Update: I make the activity grid! The idea to make it from Codeforces, it really motivated to see the activity grid full of colors. And also and activity history so user can see what they have done.
IELTS Only - Version 0.5.0 - Reading Section Update I made the filter so user can easy to filter what lesson they want to do!
IELTS Only - Version 0.6.3 - Real IELTS Reading Interface Update - 0.6.0: Build the exact interface of IELTS Reading test I researched on Google but cannot found any real IETLS Reading interface. Luckily, on YouTube, IDP has posted the instruction for doing Reading in computer-based system which including the real IELTS Reading interface in the video. So I build side-by-side with that. - 0.6.1: I made the hamburger icon work! Now user can change the theme or text size like official IELTS test. - 0.6.2: I made a small change in the lower board, user can watch time and adjust the volume that best fit to the user (I know Reading does not contain any sound but anyway in the actual IELTS it also included it) - 0.6.3: I researched on Google and found that IELTS does not allow to find (Crtl/Command + F) so I make the system listen to that key to prevent it perform find. Copy-paste still works!
IELTS Only - Version 0.7.14 - IELTS Reading Test Creation Portal Update This is the hardest part so far, I’m very struggling with this because I need to think what to design to make it simple, so for the low-tech people, they can still easily use it. 0.7.0: Changed the Single and Multiple Choice selection buttons from blue to IELTS Only red. 0.7.1: Added dropdown answer selection directly beside each heading in Matching Headings questions. 0.7.2: Made dropdown answer limits and important instructions bold and easier to notice. 0.7.3: Redesigned Sentence Completion with one flexible text editor instead of separate sentence inputs. 0.7.4: Added automatic blank detection using [] placeholders inside completion-question content. 0.7.5: Limited the answer fields to exactly match the number of [] blanks detected in the text. 0.7.6: Applied the same flexible text-and-placeholder system to Summary, Note, and other completion question types. 0.7.7: Removed unnecessary content containers from question types that do not require 0.7.8: formatted passage content. 0.7.9: Started designing an Excel-like editor for creating custom Table Completion layouts. 0.7.10: Started designing a visual flowchart builder for Flow-chart Completion questions. 0.7.11: Started designing a simple paint-style canvas for Diagram Labelling and Completion questions. 0.7.12: Reviewed the entire Reading Test Creation Portal to improve consistency, clarity, spacing, and usability. 0.7.13: Simplified labels, controls, and workflows so first-time and low-tech users can create questions more easily. 0.7.14: Reduced repetitive inputs and automated as many complicated setup steps as possible.
IELTS Only - Version 0.7.15 - IELTS Reading Test Creation Portal Update I build the preview, so teacher/creater can be easily see what is going on!
IELTS Only - Version 0.7.16 - The Editor Update I change from Quill into Tiptap for more features and more easy to use! Love it because I can easily modify text like Word/Google Docs instead of using Markdown which is quite hard for low-tech people P/S: Do you think ⭐️ STARDANCE should have an update like me:)?
IELTS Only - Version 0.8.0 - Complete Real IELTS Interface Update Pheww, It took me quite a long time to copy the real IELTS Interface and made it work!
IELTS Only - Version 0.9.0 - Reading Dashboard Update The Reading dashboard just got a fresh new look ✨ Tests are now easier to browse with clearer passage filters, useful details at a glance, and quick filtering by progress, source, or question type. I also added custom pixel-art covers to give each passage a bit more personality. A few small details are still being polished, but the dashboard is now cleaner, faster, and much more fun to use.
IELTS Only - Version 0.10.0 - Infrastructure Update This update is mostly happening behind the scenes, but it is a big one 🔧 IELTS Only’s infrastructure has been rebuilt to make the platform more stable, faster, and easier to scale. It still in progress, I will update soon! P/S: It took me like 1 hour to draw the painting below! Like if you love it ♥️
IELTS Only - Version 0.11.0 - Error Page Update Today I made the Error page so when ever someone run into an error, I can use the trace code to trace the error and easy for me to fix the web. (Jury will be the main website’s mascot too)
IELTS Only - Version 0.12.0 - Grammar Practice Interface Update After hours and hours, Reading section still in progress but i kinda bored. So I have changed to build Grammar Interface instead. I really like the interface of Duolingo so I tried to build almost as same as its interface (don’t worry I will not copy 100%). It still in progress and I hope to finish it soon!
IELTS Only - Version 0.13.0 - Optimization Update Recently, I have optimized the website by some of the useful trick I learned on Instagram like instead of showing the loading spin, we can use skeleton loading to make user think it will be more faster to load,…
IELTS Only - Version 0.14.3 - Grammar Lesson Update So I’ve spent 8 hours making three major updates: 0.14.0: I upgraded the grammar interface from version 0.12.0 so now it becoming more clean and easy to interact with. 0.14.1: I built the grammar dashboard with widget as you can see in the third picture. It quite easy because it the same as reading dashboard so it don’t take much time. 0.14.2: I built the grammar question creation, this is the hardest one because i face a lot of error while doing it. And make database to save the work. 0.14.3: Fixing some minor bugs of grammar.
IELTS Only - Version 0.15.2 - Writing Update 0.15.1: I built the real Writing interface, it is easy because I just change some of element in real Reading interface which I struggle for a long time 0.15.2: I also built the writing creation page. It also easy compared to reading and grammar as you can see in the second picture.
IELTS Only - Version 1.0.0 - Reading & Grammar release! For a long long long long longggggg time, I have finished the first two skill, which is Reading and Grammar, get ready for the first ship to the world
IELTS Only - Version 1.1.0 - Writing Updates Hi y’all, long time no see! So today, I have made a real writing interface, I tried to copy exactly what IELTS writing interface have,…
Ships:
Q: What did I make? - A: As you can see, learning IELTS nowaday is becoming much more expensive, making it harder for youngster, whose need that certification the most for their study career, to afford it. So I have made IELTS Only, the completely free IELTS learning & practicing platform that can help people to study IELTS easily. Q: What was challenging? - A: There were a lot of challenges that I faced when doing this project, such as coding, fixing bugs. But the hardest thing is the imitation of real IELTS interface, I need to research a lot on it. Q: What am I proud of? - A: I proud of myself because I have done something good for the social and learn a lot of value lesson. Q: What should people know so they can test my project? - A: You just simply click on the “Try project” button below, it will direct you to my website (It kinda lag… im dont have much money to buy a web hosting sr…)...

On the running of this tool, an Alpine Linux container will be spun up for Jae to experiment inside! The packages I included in the Dockerfile (or image) for Jae to use are Rust / Cargo / Rustup, Python 3 and NodeJS. Docker Compose manages the behind-the-scenes for the Jae Execution Server and Docker-Socket-Proxy (thanks, Tecnativa :D) and if you were to run the bot on a different machine from the execution server, you can use the handy environment variables declared in the bot EXECUTION_SERVER=<IP>:<PORT> and EXECUTION_SERVER_TOKEN=... . Of course I had to include a token, otherwise it just wouldn’t be that secure. A next bit to this might be persistence for a single conversation thread, or setting resource limits so the bot doesn’t accidentally run a crypto miner. And, then even allowing Jae to interact with programs could be a great addition. Update is live on Slack, but of course I will be monitoring + Jae will be a little hesitant to run commands. The GitHub tree for these changes I made in 9 hours is here if anyone is interested: https://github.com/JustAnEric/jae-slackbot/tree/dev-execution-server Expanding on my last devlog, I couldn’t brainstorm much other uses for tools other than this, and making these changes, Jae will probably be making a considerable turn in its primary capabilities (from not being able to generate code to being able to generate code). I’ve also added in a Slack Canvas (this wasn’t said in any other devlog, so I’ve decided to link it here): https://hackclub.enterprise.slack.com/docs/T0266FRGM/F0BTEH85NKX Thanks for reading! The thinking functionality currently only supports streaming mode (so I will work on getting the latter done in the near future, I only know how to show the tasks via progression.) It uses Slack’s task_update and plan_update methods, tested on all Gemma 4 models. The Gemma 4 models shine for this purpose because they output a consistent, structured trace instead of just rambling for most of the time. If the model chosen doesn’t support the format set in the code , the thinking trace won’t be displayed to the user and instead will display a Thinking… text. This took way longer than expected, especially because I started on it late at night.. but at least it’s finally done. The future calls for tool-calling and thinking blocks. I’ll probably get the thinking blocks done in a few more hours, I’m learning about @slack/bolt as I go :-) Commit History | README
V1.1.0 | you can freely access JAE by sending a DM through the Hack Club workspace to the agent , or by joining the #-jae channel ! <3 Today, I’ve now finalized the thinking aspect of the Slack bot! It’s enabled by default in the GitHub repository’s new .env.example file, just as streaming mode is enabled by default. README | Commit History
V1.1.1 | you can freely access JAE by sending a DM through the Hack Club workspace to the agent , or by joining the #-jae channel ! <3 Some minor cleanups here and there, more refactoring and bug testing, also devised a new title generation feature that will be coming soon for threads as Slack allows that apparently… will probably get the AI to generate the title after 3 messages. There will be more updates, just been a little slow with it due to school. Hopefully I will get tool-calling working by the end of the week. Maybe even a change to TypeScript, as IntelliSense with VS Code on NodeJS is really bad . README | Commit History
V1.2.0 | you can freely access JAE by sending a DM through the Hack Club workspace to the agent , or by joining the #-jae channel ! <3 Even more cleanups, and I changed it all to TYPESCRIPT!!! Also, now there’s tool calling included… I really need suggestions for tools to include, whatever you’d like to see… I beg you all to make me busy. ;) I still want to work on making tools and thinking available outside of streaming mode, but I’m SUPER lazy and there’s no other APIs yet supported… just admit streaming is better at this point. A TOOLS_ENABLED=true environment setting turns on this functionality, and tools can be found inside src/tools , I’ll create some clarity by editing the README soon for the creation of your own custom tools, I want to make it as easy as possible, of course. README | Commit History
V1.2.1 | you can freely access JAE by sending a DM through the Hack Club workspace to the agent , or by joining the #-jae channel ! <3 Jae now has feedback buttons! No settings or dashboard has been created yet for this functionality, but it is still going to be useful for gathering feedback from everyone into how Jae can improve. I feel like all my images on the devlogs are so out of context, sorry about that… Main point is, we now have those buttons I guess. README | Commit History
V1.2.2-experimental | you can freely access JAE by sending a DM through the Hack Club workspace to the agent , or by joining the #-jae channel ! <3 I have been working a major update, so basically I created an execution server for Jae the AI to use… and I don’t want to push it to main yet just because of safety issues and concerns I’ll still need to fix up. README | Commit History
V1.2.3-experimental (haha, 1-2-3…) | you can freely access JAE by sending a DM through the Hack Club workspace to the agent , or by joining the #-jae channel ! <3 After a lot of trial and error, I’m proud to say that Jae now has ONE tool that hasn’t been released yet, called the run_command tool. Thanks for reading! README | Commit History
V1.2.4-experimental | you can freely access JAE by sending a DM through the Hack Club workspace to the agent , or by joining the #-jae channel ! <3 Jae can now access Stardance projects, and search the web with a configured SearXNG server! I also made sure that if you don’t configure them, the appropriate tools don’t get registered (to make your life easier) Update is live on Slack, and the experimental version is available through the first pull request. PR: https://github.com/JustAnEric/jae-slackbot/pull/1 Thanks for reading! (sorry for the slow updates, school has been on and I’ve also been reviewing projects for my ship payout) README | Commit History

I made an AI bot called Jae that is completely free without limits (✊ go local AI!), it shows what it thinks and does using Slack’s Block Kit, and a basic version is working pretty well in experimental testing. The thinking part was the most challenging, but it works for models that have a structured thinking trace! Use this agent bot if you feel gorkie or other bots provide too little information into what they think. Slack Technical Information Canvas...

I was able to create a stub of windows.kinect so that we could have kinect support and redirect it to Microsoft.Kinect. So far its been working well, but the point of this was to get mc 1.61 to not freeze when playing. It was a lot of repetitive work to get the idl and cpp stubs. The other issue is that mc seems to be giving me the trial version which I need to try and fix. Sonic Mania is completely playable as well which is good.
So I was able to get terraria working which was pretty easy since I just had to implement some DX11 stuff. I implemented config support so that you can change your gamertag and gamerscore as well as your controller binds and your keyboard binds via a json file.
We finally migrated to github, and I was able to get Github Actions to work. It also caches the cmake dir so that its faster for newer builds. To get Github Actions to build, I had to install windows sdk 28000 and remove the hardcoded dirs in all the CMakeLists as well as properly migrate to vcpkg.
After a while of debugging Burnout Paradise I was finally able to realise that it was looking for D3D12Device. For some reason it was looking for d3d12 device in a d3d11 dll, so I was considering redirecting it to d3d12. But after a while I just gave up.
I noticed that the Windows.Xbox.Speech.Recognition idl looked a bit odd and it used stuff from midl2 so I removed the idl and cpp files and pretty much started from scratch. It took me a while to create the idl and get guid and stuff, but setting up the cpp files and tidying it up into 5 files from 30 small file took a lot longer since I had to manually tidy the funcs and add a debugging line to each of them.
I didn’t have much to do in WD currently, so I decided to create the watchdog process for WD, since it would be needed for the new WD Launcher to pass back errors to the user. Its a pretty simple debugger type of thing for now, but Im going to try and make it a bit better and more readable.
Last Devlog So I forgot about the WinDurango proj, until recently when I saw that I hadn’t counted the last devlog. So I fixed a few things with kernelx and I cleaned up all the winrt idls and the connected storage part of WinRT.
Ships:
I helped make WinDurango with @Rodrigo_Todescatto2010 and @dexrn . Unfortunatly, Im not able to work on WinDurango anymore, because I switched to MacOS so Im going to have to ship it now. If I do get a windows computer later on, I will continue this project. I mainly did WinRT stuff and got a few games working in WD. Currently, the only version of Minecraft LCE that works is 1.2.0.0. You will need a dumped Xbox One game to test it out.
I helped make WinDurango with @Rodrigo_Todescatto2010 and @dexrn . I have to ship again since I forgot abt the 4h that I hadn’t devloged....
