STARTING OUT I’ve created the base of the project with Electron. I’ve used Ai, it has helped to understand which language to use and helped me understand CSS , JAVASCRIPTS/NODE and HTML concepts. PROGRESS I built an intro screen with 3 button ( blacklist settings start ) I only worked on the blacklist in wich you can Add sites that keeps your brain rotting. The settings do not work. and the start session too. WHAT I NEED TO WORK ON almost everything but I am on my way right now my focus is to make it work so I’’ll work twoards the start button but since this is my first time using java script I feel proud of my work
I NEED HELP I ’ve done everything, I want some feedback on my work. Should I add more features, like a color palette for the remainder? FIXING ISSUES I FOUND WITH FRIEND -fixed some websites recognition problem -added addition dialog message at the start of the session -added more paragraph descrition
PUBLISHED VIDEO GUIDE ON YOUTUBE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KYm0ztkC648
MADE SPECIAL VERSION FOR REVIEWER.
I made progress -made some tooltip -and tried adding sound
I’ve done something and I am in hurry today

Today was supposed to be a simple enemy spawn system. But it turned into a full‑blown debugging session. I spent most of the session tracking down a dumd issue where enemies were either spawning off‑screen, stacking on top of each other, or not spawning at all depending on the frame timing. The main issue ended up being a mix of incorrect prefab references and a timing bug in my spawn manager. The game is starting to feel alive now that enemies actually appear correctly.
I created a points system 5 points for normal alien ships and 10 for alien suicide bombers as I like to call them, they come down fast and one shot you if break your lines.
Last devlog!!! Finally after hours of working on this project I got a menu, scoring system damage system, and even a shooting system. I also added upgrades like rapid fire, as well as multi-shot. I hope you guys enjoy this game with all the bugs I faced on the way this’ll be worth it....

Huge progress!! Wifi connection is working nicely. Right now the best way to do it is by connecting the steamdeck to your pc with a hotspot and the latency is actually pretty nice! Been working on fixing a couple things before shipping, the problem was all with windows and its super wierd api. most of these changes were done long ago but i forgot to devlog them lol anyways, ive also published a demo video to see how it works if for some reason you dont own a steamdeck. i know this is not the most quality post but im a bit tired from all the work ive been doing on other projects. so, in a way, this project is completely finished!

Devlogs:
Set up the building for this project and added the SDL boilerplate and some input functionality.
Added pipes that can randomly generate and a background image that was pretty annoying to get in (had to convert it to the rawest data ever).
This use of free will consist of adding a collision to die, score, and a background song. The way I did it was to load a font from my system to use in the game (Which is a way I don’t fully like but It was the easiest for me I think). This had me messing with CMake again to compile the needed libraries for text and audio. Today’s use of free will I added the ability to shake the Wii remote to flap. It was pretty weird to add since the SDL method wasn’t working so I did it the more hardware way. Overall pretty cursed but is a fun Wii way to play the game, and the buttons are still there so don’t worry.

I made the introduction section of the website, and finished the main animations. I also added a bit of filler text for the body of each one
Added the first photo in my portfolio to the website! I also made sure that a user could see it knowing to scroll down, Im going to add the other photos in my portfolio soon.
Added more photos! Fixed the scrolling because the old one while it looked cool was WAAY too complex to be used at all on other computers. Also I made it so that when you hover over the photo details their opacity increases.
finished adding all my photos! finally! I rearranged some of the photos so it made more sense and also I made it so that lansdcape orientated photos instead of multiple lines of Shutter speed, apurture and ISO its one line so that everything fits better on the screen. Made it so that JSON controls the photos and JS inserts them dynaimically, this was quite a challange for me since i didn’t know JSON syntax and how to parse it at all.

Challenges: The biggest challenge for me this time was the User Interface. Before, the UI was pretty basic, and so the HTML and JavaScript had pretty simple variables and id’s for the styling in the CSS. But, when I went to upgrade, I had to change a bunch of variables, but I got it done. One challenge in particular was adding a progress bar to my quiz. Since I already had a structure inside my HTML and CSS, putting it there was not a problem. I thought I had it in the right spot for JavaScript. I was wrong. I spent 20 minutes debugging, then finally found out that it was in the wrong spot the whole time. It was in the function nextQuestion(index) instead of showQuestion(index). Lessons Learned: Keep a close eye on which function is which and keep code organized Debug carefully and don’t mix up different parts of the code Looking forward: I hope to publish this on GitHub now, thanks for following my project!!"}, {"post_id": 13404, "ts": "2026-06-21T23:04:32Z", "hours": 1.0369, "text": "Devlog #2: In this update, I added another flashcard set to my flashcard and quiz website. I edited the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to make sure that it mirrored the other sets. One challenge with this was to keep each of the information on each flashcard separate. Each flashcard has an image, a title, and a short description specific to the object on the flashcard. Additionally, I had to add another function in JavaScript, but (as I mentioned in the last update), I kept the variables consistent across the functions. One thing I learned from today’s coding is that if the layout is kept consistent across the different flashcard sets and in CSS, it is easier to navigate and make more flashcard sets. In the next update, I plan to update the user interface to level up the experience. Thanks and see you in the next update!"}, {"post_id": 12799, "ts": "2026-06-20T22:40:18Z", "hours": 3.3878, "text": "Devlog #1: In this update, on my flashcard website, I added two flashcard sets. I also updated the user interface significantly, and I added a two-question quiz at the bottom of the page. I upgraded my CSS to show “blocks” (the flashcards) to make sure that the cards that were supposed to be hidden were hidden until the buttons were clicked. I also upgraded how the website looks by adding hover features as well as changing the background color and adding images to each flashcard. Overall, my biggest challenge was keeping ID’s and variables sorted from HTML to JavaScript for each of the flashcard sets. I solved this problem by sorting out each part of my JS into two categories for each set, changing the variable names to ones that made sense and were easy to keep track of (set1, container1, etc.), and finally updating the HTML with these new variables. I learned that keeping code organized from the start prevents problems later! I also learned the debugging process through the console in the website preview on my device. Another thing I learned is that divs in HTML can be extremely useful, especially when there are very similar elements on the page. For the future, I hope to add another flashcard set. Thanks and see you in the next update!"}]...
