So today I start my new project VidNote a chrome extension that helps you take timestamped notes while watching youtube videos or work as your yt video bookmark so you can know where you were and what you were doing. Today I learned about Chrome extensions how they work and the main file for extension the manifest.json file also made basic popup.js file
So today I tested my extension as the basic structure is complete it is working good just had some problem to add the delete button as it was not visible earlier then replaced it with x emoji so it is now perfect now will add some more functionality to it and work more on its structure and looks ;)
So i added a copy all button so you can copy all your timestamped notes in clipboard also there is a shortcut āALT+Nā to quickly take notes and a little note button sits right inside your youtube video to make it even more accessible while significantly improving its UI!!

Title: Astrophotography Tools by @jdszekeres | Sta Title: Astrophotography Tools by @jdszekeres | Stardance
Devlogs:
Created the equivalent exposures tool to calculate values for each part of the exposure triangle based on other values.
I spent way too much time debugging how to use the data from lightpollution.it to find the light pollution index at a coordinate. Turns out they were using an off-centered projection that I used ChatGPT to decode (x = (lon + 126.44) / 0.03382; y = (-20.28 * lat) + 1862.4;)
Add redlight mode to prevent eyes from getting burned while adjusting to the dark
Worked on getting the project deployed to Vercel (A lot of headaches with relative and absolute paths)
I actually used my project. Here is a shot I took of Bishop Pass in the Eastern Sierra Nevada mountains.
Iām working on an offline star chart generator. Iāve been working with Astronomy Engine and the Yale Bright Stars Catalog to find the proper motion of the stars. Iāve only added the Big Dipper, but I plan add more of the 88 IAU constellations.
Ha, I added orion and aries. This took forever b/c orion has so many connections
I got more constellations (Hydra, Bootes) and added offical International Astronomy Union names when applicable
So, it turns out I didnāt need to enter all those lines manually, there are saved files out there for it.
Did some compression work to bring the download size down from 16 MB to only 4 MB. Mostly compressing images, but also making a new catalog, reduced catalog for stars.
Added a stacking calculator to show how well a stack of images will look based on their signal to noise ratio
I added final UI improvements ahead of shipping and reduced redundant code
I added a FOV preview, which shows how the 110 messier objects appear in photos based on your camera sensor size and lens focal length. Itās very useful for deep space imaging.
Added milky way to star chart! It looks kinda cool how it wraps off the page and it definitely wasnāt because it was too hard to remove it.
Added a guide to Astrophotography tools to make it more beginner friendly.
I did a lot of space saving (pun intended) to reduce the offline cache size by about 0.7 Mb to 3.8 Mb by better compressing images and minifying code and JSON. I also had to do an emergency fix for mobile, where it wasnāt working on certain phones.
Iāve taken your feedback from the last ship and Iāve started work on a more space-y theme for this project. So far, Iāve switched up the color scheme to a dark blueish-purple and comsic latte (The average color of the universe). I also added a procderual starfield with comets in the background. Also, check out the homepage, the page cards also float around like theyāre in microgravity!
I fixed the Bortle Scale by building my own light pollution map from scratch using a light pollution scattering kernel using the CU Boulder VIIRS dataset. Previously, the dataset I used didnāt have enough labels for each bortle scale and had country borders, which screwed with what the expected light pollution is.
Add celestial objects to FOV preview Changelog 2a13b7a
Ships:
I made a set of Astrophotography tools to use in the field. They include an equivalent exposure calculator, Bortle scale finder and reference, sun and moon position calculator, and 400 rule tool. They all work offline and are mobile PWA compatible.
I added a star chart tool and a stacking calculator, as well as a recomended settings for major camera brands to my astrophotography tools PWA. One of my biggest challenges was the star chart generator. I wanted it to mirror other star charts with major stars and constellations. I spent a lot of time entering constellations by hand before realizing there was a dataset that already detailed exactly that. The photo below was taken using the info from these tools.
I added FOV preview and hyperfocal distance calculator tools to the site, as well as adding the Milky Way to the star chart. Lastly, I added a guide to help newer astrophotographers get comfortable with astrophotography. Hereās a photo I took of some star trails in the Dolomites.
In this ship, I: Finally got to fixing the UI, making it more space-themed (i.e stars on every page background with comets, zero-g floating cards, comsic latte color scheme) Added planets and other visible celestial objects to the FOV preview Made the Bortle Scale indicator work by building my own light pollution map from the CU Boulder VIIRS dataset Check out this photo of the moon I took!...

I have pretty much all of the art done but the systems havent been implemented yet though. I also have the last level somewhat done but it still needs quite a bit configuration still. Anyways I hope you have a good day!
Hey everyone! The game is finally done! I added music to the game and finished all of the levels. The game is now ready for release! Have a nice day, and have fun playing the game!
Hey everyone! Since I finished the first warioware game mission I have decided to take on the second one where you expand the game! I have added 2 new levels to my current game that are very different from the pervious ones since I didnāt want to copy the exisiting ones. Iām not going to spoil what it is though but I will say that I like how they turned out! Have fun!

I made a simple fast paced warioware game. This game is all about filling the needs of a cute little capybara. This projects biggest challenge was for me the art. Since I am no artist, nailing the artstyle and getting the sprites to look good was definitely a challenge for me. But I managed and learned alot while making it. So I guess I could say that I am most proud of the art in the game. People planning on playing it should know that have fun!
I made a warioware style game on godot. The post challenging part was making the art. So I can say that i am also very proud of the outcome of it. People who playtest the game remember, that the longer you hold space the higher you will jump!...

Hello, as my first devlog i want to say that my parts have arrived except the sensor, I used Arduino UNO to first test out the LED and counts over serial and i have attached a tape on my fan to represent it as a fauly motor, as it would cause an increase in vibrations
Got and soldered the MPU-6050 accelerometer and wiring was done, most of the two hours was setting it up and installing Node.js and had to resolve issues with an ARM64 and as it did not have a C++ compiler, so i am using PowerShell right now
Added a live FFT graph to the dashboard today. You can watch the fanās spin show up as a spike at 37.5 Hz, which is about 2250 rpm. Kind of cool that I measured my fanās speed with an accelerometer. Also made the Arduinoās LED light up when it spots a fault, so itās not just on the screen. Just wrote the index.html file, in this OS, im gonna have 4 main features, they are Calculator Gallery Media Player Terminal Also added an atom icon which I designed myself, it will act as Application centre, in WebOS2 Mission, Ima add more features, so those will go here. Iām also keeping up with readme file, so that works as a devlog file too.
Created the windowManager.js file, coz thatās crucial for creating any windows in ImtOS.
Designed it, yayyyyy! Now, time to make the calculator.
This worked. Now, you may be thinking that why are you gonna use the calculator function in ImtOS when you have a calculator in your hand or calculator app in your device. This is a great question to think. So great even idk the answer. Whatever, use it or donāt, this feature is awesome (pls say yes).
This took way more than 55 Minutes, like collecting the photos and arranging them, designing the whole gallery. Whatever, here you go, now you can have a watch on the owner of ImtOS and his nice lovely photographys.
Well, here we go with our media player. Actually itās an MP3 player with some dedicated song (which are my favs :3). Now who would come to ImtOS and listen to this songs? ITS YOU!!! YOU WILL COME IN IMTOS AND LISTEN TO MY MASTERPIECE MUSIC TASTE. try it out, now!
Done on the terminal, it has some easter eggs!
Yayy!! Iām on WebOS 2 Mission and today I created a widget for my ImtOS! Make sure to check it out.
Made an easy game.
Added a Tic Tac Toe game in ImtOS!
Now you can find me through my own made OS, lol
here we go, two apps, time to ship.
Ships:
Made an web operating system about myself that comes with a terminal, music player, gallery, draggable windows and A CALCULATOR (im glazing it yes) - made with HTML, CSS, JS and love <3

If URL is not it then you can just copy and paste the entire table no matter how messy and it will format and structure them for the file types I mentioned. It has a citation feature. When you use the URL feature and add the URL there is a button at the bottom for cite this site instead when pressed it the citations for the table will be given so that you can use it for any research or credit purposes. The most challenging part of this project was probably deployment. When I tested it locally it was working fine and instantaneously so I just did the basic deploy in vercel but I found out that when the sites are pinged from a remote server it blocks access most of the time categorizing it as a bot attack so fixing that was probably a hasstle. Other than that it was quite fun to make this project. I am working on a tool that cleans data and structures them in a clean table. It also supports url to data gathering or you can just copy and paste the data you want. It gives you the option to download the data in different formats being CSV, TSV, JSON and md. It also has a citation features for the URL so after entering the url if you want to download the citation in proper structured format as well it will help with that as well.
Finally completed the drag and drop mechanism, the citation logic and learnt how to clean up and fix messy tables.
I finally completed the UI. For the UI I used basic HTML, CSS along with JS so it was relatively fast. I kept the design of the webpage basic deliberately so its easy to navigate and understand the function of the page in an instant. The entire thing is already completed I just need some time to debug some issues and format the code a bit better so I probably will devlog it quite soon.
I finally completed the site. The site is live now at https://tidy-three.vercel.app/ give it a try. Also best bet is to probably copy and paste the table to be fair or clone the repo and run it locally since a lot of sites block the request from remote servers or highly restrict data given and results are not that good. I mean give it a try and if its to your liking well there you go if not well just copy the entire table and paste it and down a structured csv or other format files

I made a QoL tool that helps immensely with table formatting and structured table downloading. It has 3 features: Paste a url and it scrapes the site to gather the table data and structure them in a proper CSV, TSV, JSON, or md format and makes it easy to use in any projects. And also since I need structured tables quite a bit as well for my projects so this tool will help those like me....

I also did the css for it by myself which was not too hard but the only thing I had a bit of issues from was the javascript so claude helped me in it and then I had a issue with the scripts which was 1000% my fault. In the last couple of lines in js I decided to do it myself and I forgot to close the so that took a while to fix lol. Overall it is going well and I am thinking of adding more.
For the past 30 minutes I have just been changing the background because the orange was superrr ugly so personally I like space and the sky so I made it blue. Using css I also added snow flakes which are kind of light. So I updated the root with various shades of blue and also updated 5 to 6 colours in the root. Now it looks amazing especially the shadow coming from the top left of the screen to the bottom right. So it goes from white to light blue in the corner. I controlled majority of this by changing the background-image. So yes everything is going well. Next I am gonna add another tool or possibly make this one better. Lettss see.
SO what I did was added a key signature which can be changed so scales can be changed. For example you can change the scale from C to D which will change its whole tone. Claude helped me with a bit of the logic and I did the whole css and html portion of it, but just for the logic claude helped me on some of it because it involved sin and tan. Overall I love the colour scheme and now Ima go onto the readme which is gonna be PACKEED with detail because my old projects kept complaining about that. Soo stay tuned for the readme.
This may be my last devlog. If you have any suggestions lemme know. So basically what I did was completed my readme which took 2 hours because I added a huge amount of data. I talked about a lot including what I learned, how it all started, how to run it, and even features. I also changed the font style because of a recent suggestion and I changed it to comic sans because it is nice and soft but claude helped me in finding the code lines because at that time it was super unorganized. Overall I may add a small mini game at this point to make it more fun but otherwise my readme is done for now.
This is 100% my last devlog. So basically what I did is add a quiz option so the thing is I had no idea how to do that but with a bit of youtube and ai I figured it out and I create 10 questions by myself and then most of the code was repeating due to the questions so I just gave claude the questions and the write answers with example code of what I wrote and it just duplicated everything but with the right answers. And then I completed the full CSS and the rest of the HTML. I used no JavaScript this time because I am not that good with it so I only used HTML for the logical part. And it is just a button which you can click with easy questions. So overall everything is completed and the readme is updated.

Sheety is basically a browser sheet music web application. You can click piano keys or hum into your microphone, and you can watch the notes appear on a actual staff which plays the tune back based on what you picked. No frameworks and no dependencies and it is just ONE HTML file with around 900 lines of code mixed with css and js. I had various challenges with javascript because it was very complex based on what I wanted to do but I learned how to do it on youtube and ai and I did most of it but claude still had to assist me with the more complex stuff. I am proud of this idea especially the background because it was not preplanned and I kept changing it and finally I got my last chosen one that I picked which was a blue icy sort of background. So overall I love that part and I am super proud of that because honestly it was not easy for me. Overall I had an amazing time creating this and as a musician this helps me a lot in certain ways which you can see in my readme.md....

Iāve built my favorite card game that I play here in Italy. Iām new to coding and a bit shy when I found out about Hackclub, so I didnāt understand that I had to log myself whilst coding and went straight to the chase and completed my game. Itās an awesome game I love playing it with my friends, and I hope you are going to love it too
Added better gameplay to the game by showing what card the player and opponent play, by placing big card images on the sides of the screen. Also added sound effects to the cards when they get place or picked up
Ships:
This is a card game that gets played in Italy. It uses Neapolitan cards and is very strategic...

Inside the desktop there are draggable windows for browser,,calculator, camera, hubble gallery, notes, terminal and snake, settings for wallpapers, an orbital clock and a mini calendar. The challenging part was not the design but fixing bugs. Making windows draggable without jumping, handling minimize/maximize/restore and focus with z-index took a lot of tries. The wallpaper was not persisting at first, notes and snake best score needed localStorage fixes, and the terminal needed proper history and focus handling. Snake had wall and self-collision bugs and calculator needed safe handling. Making everything responsive and making GitHub Pages serve index.html correctly also took debugging. I am proud that the whole OS works from one file and the window manager feels like a real OS - you can drag, focus, minimize and maximize everything. To test it just open https://dxkshh-codee.github.io/StarDriftOS/ Click enter my OS try dragging and resizing windows, switch wallpapers in settings, try terminal commands like help and open snake, test notes saving, and try the satellite easter egg on desktop. Completing ReadMe for GitHub.. StarDriftOS is ready !!!

I made StarDriftOS a personal webOS that runs fully in the browser. It is a single HTML file with no frameworks it has a landing screen and then a desktop you get by clicking āenter my osā. Camera needs https to work....

Devlog #1: Black hole raytracer, the GPU side New project. This time itās a real-time black hole renderer, including gravitational lensing and the accretion disk. Itās in Python, which feels familiar after working on the ISS tracker. The main idea is to shoot a ray for every pixel and bend it according to the Schwarzschild geodesic equation as it passes the black hole.
Devlog #2 ā The render kernel Every pixel is one GPU thread, each tracing a photon backwards from the camera.
Devlog #3 ā Post-processing and cameraRaw output from the renderer is HDR ā values way above 1.0 around the disk.
I made the Quallity settings for the reendering, I swear the 8K will be brutal.
Devlog #5 In this part I fixed a lot of bugs around the cuda and the kernel section, I searched the compatible Cuda acceleration drivers.
Devlog#6 Today I worked around the graphics section more and I made the windows options: Fulscreen, windowed etcā¦
Devlog#7 Finally Iām ready with the quality part, and I am working now on the Apllication and the Cuda drivers, In this section the Ai hellped me with the Cuda accelaration part because as I mentioned in my devlogs I didnāt work with Cuda before and Iām learning in the meantime with the help of Ai.
Devlog #8 I continued the aplication part, I made the screenshot option, this project is huge and I am very excited about it.
Devlog#9 Today I made the buffers and the screen size types to work but I canāt try it yet. because I has to finish the code
Devlog#10 Today I almost finished the Application part, doing some bug fixes, collecting the requirements, and I also did the rotating camera function and the orbit function as well
Devlog#11 In this section I worked a lot, I made the render section and the dynamic resolution scaling (auto mode).
Devlog#12 Finally!!! I finished the main code, however I must do some bugfixes, and write a batch file to automaticly download python libaries, extensions , drivers to work. In the next devlog I can finally show you simulation footage.
Devlog#13 Finally, I finished the project, it is working, I created an install and a run batch file, and it is working, EVERYTHING!!! here a demonstration video (Sorry for the quality i have to shrinf from 201mb to 49mb) in the max level iām getting 2.2 fps with a 5070!!!

Devlogs:
Made a first version of the game with two minigames: one where you have to quickly say if an image shows a cat or a dog, and another one where you have to tell wich color a colored text is describing
New background and minigame! The background is still made with blender and the new minigame is about clicking on the circle with a slightly different color than the others (only problem is that it is not playable for colorblind peopleš„²)
I changed the end and the win screen with text animations (it gives more suspense), and since the game screen size was the godot default, I changed it for a 1920x1080 screen size
Add a new minigame: biggest product The goal of this new minigame is, as you expect, to find the biggest product between four products. All of the products are formed with 2 numbers between 1 and 10 in order to make it mental math challenge. I also change the icon used to represent the lives, I make this new icon using the costumes editor in scratch (which is basically a svg editor), I used this editor because I am used to using scratch so it was the fastest for me.

working on a webos for the webos1 challenge, i have currently added a music app in which you can store my local directory, then you have a lil browser in which it just shows you predefined results, a paint app in which u can actually draw and save your artpieces as jpeg files, a little terminal with simple linux type commands and obviously neofetch, also added a lil notes app cuz well we love notes app. This screenshot may have a little easter egg for whats coming up next in WebOS challenge 2
Added something i learned in my computer science class in the paint app too, it only made sense to add it in my os too. I learned about floodfill and how its used to fill in colors in closed polygons by checking each pixel around it if its of any color other than background
Going with the technical field, remaking the linux type commands in this, added a proper file system, cat, touch, cp, move and a LOT more file commands. Tried to fix the music player glitch that my music wasnt playing, in the end im still not able to fix that so ill keep onto that, but with respect to the technical approach im quiet satified by the terminal rn, just wait till i reach the 2nd tier in this challenge
Fixed the music app finally, the beep boop music is playing, that was such a headache, made some minor bug changes aswell, updated the readme to ship the project, and im quiet satisfied with what has been made even tho Webdev isnt my forte.
Made the OS Since stardance was ending i was like lets js finish this and ship it This devlog i added pyrite, its own python like programming lanuage You can make simple programs in this run them in the terminal inside it Fixed the file manager, now you can use linux commands to make files from terminal and theyll actually show up in the file manager so thats pretty cool I think ill call it wraps now

Devlogs:
I am making a project name NovaTab which is a customizable workspace. I have completed with the first 4 steps: Introduction, Project Setup, Github connection and html. Css is remaining, Now I am writing the Javascript.
Wrote more Javascript for my NovaTab
Added APIās for location and weather and wrote some more Javascript
Added some widget Javascript and more
Wrote more Javascript and made Widgets draggable and dropable, overlapable, etc.
Added NASA APOD API and widget
fixed some Javascript and started with CSS (yet no visible designs but soon it will be very good UI)
Added more css, now the website widgets are draggable and overlapable
Made the NovaTab look more beautiful
Started adding more features and fixed NASA APOD Widget
Added many more features like made it look more like our personal real pin board with some inperfections, tape etc. also made sticky note peel off system and a page for it where it is saved and etc. Took a little AI help in some coding.
Added more features and made everything customizable and editable, just double-click on the widget and then edit it! Used Ai for help in coding. (some)
I have removed all the features added using AI and restored my self written version
Added one more function
made bold borders and shadows in it (UI) and completed both new features: wherever you will click, a Star will come there, and we can change the colour theme of notes widget.
Changed README and fixed an error in Javascript
Added more 2 small features, Now it creates a crunchy sound on button click of Add widgets and reset button, and a motivational quote which changes every time randomly, this quote is visible at right top corner. Preview link: https://nnovatab.netlify.app/

Every great software begins with a spark of frustration or a wild āwhat if?ā thought. For V.A.Y.U. the question was simple: Why must a portfolio or project showcase look like every other dull static scrolling website on the internet? As a developer who loves low-level systems programming, clean web design and building things from scratch Dennis wanted something that felt alive. Not only a page of text. A living environmentāa digital space that shows how a real programmer thinks. So V.A.Y.U. (Personal Web Operating System) was born. Phase 1: Laying the Foundations The journey began with HTML5, CSS3 and Vanilla JavaScript. Than using heavy frontend frameworks the core architecture of V.A.Y.U. Was built from scratch. The Desktop Environment: The first challenge was building a working desktop. A translucent blurred top bar (filter) was designed with a live clock to give it a real modern OS feel. The Window Manager (z-index & Dragging): Creating windows was simple. Making them act like a real OS was hard. Dennis built a custom dragging system that followed mouse coordinates (clientX/clientY) and handled CSS transforms. With a z-index layering (biggestIndex) clicking any window or icon lifts it to the front so windows never hide behind the top bar. Phase 2: Building the Native App Ecosystem A desktop is nothing without apps to run on it. Over iterations Dennis expanded V.A.Y.U. From a simple welcome screen into a feature-rich operating system: V.A.Y.U. Logs (Notes App): A dynamic notes manager that fills itself from JavaScript objects with a clean interactive sidebar. Tech Stack Showcase: A window that lists developer architectures, system tools and project goals. Terminal CLI (>_): A command-line interface that handles real system commands such as help, bio, skills, projects and clear. Sketchpad App: A tribute to his love of drawing with an HTML5 canvas where visitors can sketch directly inside the OS. VibePlayer (Music & Video Apps): media players with custom audio and video streams, progress bars and volume sliders. StickyPad: A scratchpad that uses browser memory (localStorage) to autoāsave temporary code ideas. Code Playground & StardustMiner: A multiālanguage snippet sandbox (JavaScript, Python, C++). An interactive hacking minigame where users mine āstardustā points. Settings Control Center: A hub that cycles wallpapers, shows system specs and toggles between classic looks and a futuristic Neon Mode. Phase 3: The Philosophy Behind V.A.Y.U. V.A.Y.U. Is not a set of code snippets inside window divs; it reflects Dennisās journey, as a student and builder. Balancing school, board exam prep and lateānight coding V.A.Y.U. Shows disciplined execution. Each feature was added deliberately pushing what plain web technologies can do without weight. Today, V.A.Y.U. I was working on HTML part and honestly, it was very difficult for me to understand it. Tomorrow, Iāll be working on CSS part
Almost finished my personal website. I will add my projects list and then ship this project.

I made my personal portfolio website, which will showcase all my interests, goals, and works so far. The most challenging part for me was structuring HTML code because Iāve never used it before. I am very proud of myself for making this website from zero....

I wanted to make it because only checking the filament price leaves out electricity, printer wear, failed prints and the time spent preparing everything. I also wanted it to give a suggested selling price instead of only showing the production cost. I started by making the HTML structure. I split the calculator into three parts: information about the print, printer and material costs, and the final results. For the print information, I added filament weight, print hours, minutes and quantity. I then added spool price, spool weight, printer wattage, electricity price, printer price and expected lifetime. I also included labour time, hourly rate, failed print allowance and profit markup. After finishing the HTML, I started the CSS. I used a light cream background, orange accent colour and a dark blue results panel. I made a small logo and a layered shape using only CSS because I wanted it to look related to 3D printing without needing any images. The calculator had a lot of inputs, so the first layout looked crowded. Some labels, inputs and units were sitting too close together. I fixed this by putting every input inside a bordered box and placing the units on the right side. I also grouped the inputs into material, printer and power, and time and risk. I made the main calculator use a grid, with the inputs on the left and the results on the right. The results section shows the suggested price, production cost, estimated profit and a breakdown of every cost. I also added coloured bars to show how much each part adds to the total. I added media queries so the results move underneath the inputs on smaller screens. The input grids also change to one or two columns so they do not become too narrow. After the design was mostly finished, I started the JavaScript. I made it calculate filament, electricity, machine wear, labour and failed print costs. These are added together before the profit markup is applied. I added event listeners to every input so the results update immediately without needing a calculate button. I also formatted the results as euro prices. The biggest problem I had was that every result stayed at ā¬0.00. At first I thought one of the formulas was wrong, but the real problem was that the JavaScript expected a profit markup input and I had accidentally left it out of the HTML. Because it could not find that input, the JavaScript stopped before running the calculations. I added the missing input and the calculator started working properly. I then added local storage so the save button remembers the current settings. I also added a reset button that clears the saved settings and returns everything to the defaults. Finally, I tested different weights, print times, quantities and profit markups. I checked that the totals updated, the cost bars changed, saved settings stayed after refreshing and the reset button worked. The default settings give a suggested price of ā¬7.88, with a production cost of ā¬6.06 and an estimated profit of ā¬1.82.I am happy with how it turned out, especially since I made the whole project in one go. It is simple, but it solves an actual problem and does not need an account, database or any setup."}]...
