Ok, I’m going to ship V1 in 2 days. Cuz I wanna be able to buy something from stardance here’s the plan: update readme finish user input make it run in the background (maybe) make sure it works Will this pan out? we’ll see.
V1 COMPLETE It actually happened! I implemented every feature I wanted for V1!!!!!!!!!!! of course, it looks pretty bad at the moment. But all of the core features are working. User input isn’t broken, it runs in the background, and it actually rings at the correct time. First ship, here I come!
Improvement of UI WIP I’ve started work on improving the UI of the program, specifically the config setup, using Raylib! It’s going well so far, but I’m not quite done yet I’m really not looking forward to having to deal with keyboard input ;-;
GUI config editor almost complete after much pain and memory wrangling, the config GUI is almost complete! I just need to fix a few save/load bugs. It looks very stripped down at the moment, but I’ll be sprucing it up soon, you’ll see. 1st 2.0 feature (almost) complete!
INSTALLER also the setup menu is working correctly now. Making the installer was SO EASY ITS INSANE people (windows devs) really need to do this more, It’s one of the easiest ways to make your little project feel more professional, like a real, big boy application, not just a silly program you made. A nicer alarm Check it out! Much nicer than a text box, don’t you agree? This means that V2.0 is finally ready to ship!!!! tomorrow it’s 2 rn ;-;
Finishing touches before V2.0 release! Just commented some debugging code and recompiled everything for the V2.0 release. She’s ready!
Minor bug fixes I wouldn’t call some of these “minor” but… I’ve fixed several bugs in the program in the newest releases (2.1 & 2.2) The exact details are listed in the releases on github. If you’re one of the absolute legends that are actually using this program, PLEASE update asap! I call them minor, but these bugs (especially the one fixed in 2.1) completely brick the program!

V2.0 Version 2.0 of the EepyAlarm brings several, major improvements: Installer GUI for setup automatic run on system startup Custom icons! A much nicer alarm With these changes, EepyAlarm is much closer to a real application than just a program!...

Devlogs:
Created a Basic working of the ping command in Rust. Started with writing my own ICMP socket with the socket2 crate, but the implementation was primarily for Linux and didn’t work on Windows. For a more cross-platform option, I chose to use crates that could provide the functionality. One such crate was pinger . Used it to create the basic implementation that is shown in the picture.
Tried to implement UDP Sockets for Pinging the server with a Echo Request. By tracking the time needed for the response, I can find RTT. But issues in using UDP sockets from the server side. Also a problem arises when IPv6 is used instead of IPv4. So, back to square 1. Searching for other possible options.
After trying to create an ICMP socket, a UDP socket, I decided it was time to try other crates that offered cross platform ICMP sockets. One such crate was ping-rs . I included it in the project to send ping requests and receive the replies. Then I wrote the logic for calculating the no. of packets that were sent, received and lost. Calculated the maximum, minimum and average RTT for the entire ping command. Then formatted the output and added colour to it. Wrote the README.md file. Published the application to cargo . You can try it out by cargo install pingrs . Created a GitHub release and ready to ship!!

I made a ping utility written in Rust. It provides coloured output with statistics about the packets sent and received. I first tried to use ICMP packets but it seems Rust requires elevated privileges for it. So I turned to UDP packets. But UDP packets had problems from the server side. So I checked for other cross-platform implementations of ping in Rust and found ping-rs crate. So I used it to send and receive ping packets. Around it, I wrote the core logic of the application. Then I formatted the output and gave it colours. pingrs also provides configurability for TTL, timeout and number of packets to send....

Built a Slack bot using Node.js and the @slack /bolt framework with Socket Mode — no public server needed! The bot runs in the Hack Club workspace and supports 5 slash commands: /sirius-hello (motivational greetings), /sirius-weather (live weather via wttr.in), /sirius-fact (random fun facts), /sirius-calc (safe math evaluator), and /sirius-8ball (magic 8-ball). Created a basic window system. Added widgets. Going to continue with the tutorial and then customize it
Lots of work was done! I redid the background and also completely revised the window system. Now the window has maximizing. Window system is polished so that apps can be launched via a javascript command(scripts are revised versions of scripts i used in a previous project)
Added a new app! Ever since i migrated to a new window system, adding apps is so much easier. You create your app as an html file and just add a shortcut to the desktop to open it. I added a very fun game called loading screen simulator. I am going to make some more apps soon!
Added a notepad app I added NoPad –, it has saving that persists through reloads and text that tells you if its saved or not!
Updated the readme to be more comprehensive
Ships:

I just started I made a basic key logger that tracks the keys used on rebuilt 2026 mosimulator. Currently it gives a bunch of detailed info on what keys you pressed
Added UI and now playback semi-works UI has some broken parts. First run is my play. The second and third are the program’s. The OBS overlay thinks that im pressing the keys since the python program uses keyboard =D https://youtu.be/uFGnG4JAFzI <-testing video
I added saving and loading! Auto’s can be shared now but there are a few requirements to run and share your auto’s such as stable framerate and consistent robot positioning. I also updated the readme. All that is left is improving the GitHub repo’s usability
Minor update with tkinter ui and ability to change keybinds
Started working on a method to get controller support working. This works by using hidHide, and adding the program as an exception, and then creating a virtual game pad and relaying inputs from the controller to the fake gamepad.
