This update introduces a layered configuration system, HTTP Range support for S3-compatible downloads, a redesigned CLI, and a cleaner runtime state architecture. To keep the project moving forward, I ended up working on Minamo almost everywhere I could — on my desktop, in GitHub Codespaces, through remote SSH sessions on a Linux server, and even from GitHub Mobile whenever I had a few spare minutes. Unfortunately, development time spent through remote SSH sessions and GitHub Mobile isn’t tracked by Hackatime, so those hours don’t appear in my statistics. Also, because this refactor involved lots of experimentation and incremental changes, I squashed many small commits into a single clean commit before pushing. The history is much cleaner now, even though it hides quite a bit of the work that went into this update. Highlights Layered Configuration System The previous environment-variable-only configuration has been replaced with a layered configuration system: CLI arguments ↓ Environment variables ↓ TOML configuration files This makes deployments much more flexible while still allowing temporary overrides from the command line. The refactor also introduces: ConfigManager Automatic configuration scaffolding config.example/ templates HTTP Range Support Minamo now supports HTTP Range requests for S3-compatible downloads. Clients such as rclone and the AWS CLI can now download only the required portions of large objects instead of fetching entire files. Supported formats include: bytes=start-end bytes=start- bytes=-suffix The implementation correctly returns 206 Partial Content , Content-Range , Accept-Ranges , and proper 416 Range Not Satisfiable responses. CLI & Runtime State The CLI has been redesigned around subcommands: minamo init minamo run Runtime-generated state has also been separated from user configuration, making deployments cleaner and preparing the project for future storage backends. What’s Next? The next milestone is adding additional storage backends. Current roadmap: Layered Storage Scheduling Alongside new storage backends, I’m also redesigning Minamo’s storage scheduling architecture. The long-term goal is to support a layered storage model, where frequently accessed (“hot”) data stays on fast local storage while less frequently accessed (“cold”) data can be transparently moved to lower-cost backends such as OneDrive. Since Minamo hasn’t seen production workloads yet, this design is still largely based on theoretical considerations rather than operational experience. I fully expect it to evolve as the project matures and real-world usage reveals better trade-offs. Cloudflare R2 This will likely be the first backend after the local filesystem. Cloudflare R2 is surprisingly developer-friendly: it only requires a credit card for verification, includes 10 GB of free storage , and charges no egress fees . For many personal and small projects, I think it’s one of the best object storage services available. Microsoft OneDrive After R2, I plan to implement a OneDrive backend. I wouldn’t recommend using a personal OneDrive account as production object storage. It isn’t designed for that, can be less reliable, and is relatively easy to hit rate limits (HTTP 429). However, for personal projects or storing infrequently accessed “cold” data, it’s an incredibly cost-effective option and fits Minamo’s planned hot/cold storage architecture quite well. Yes, it was a result of some disappointing personal experience. Instead of having to search through different media groups or hope someone sees your post, you can report a lost or found item here and let the system look for possible matches. The main part I’m proud of is the matching system. Lost and found posts are compared using things like category, description, location and dates to find possible matches, and users can get notified when one is found. I also added the usual stuff around it like authentication, notifications, resolving recovered cases, an admin dashboard, and as always a light/dark mode. It might seem quite like “Okay now how the hell am i supposed to use it then?” Here’s something important. A quick way to test it: create an account → make a Lost Item post → create another account →create a matching Found Item post with similar details → check the notifications/matches → if it’s the right item, you can resolve the case. (You can also try the flow the other way around by posting a found item first.) Devlogs:
I’m working on a web-app which I’ve named ‘Lost&Found’. As the name suggests, it’s a community help oriented, supportive, efficient and easy to use application which people can hop onto to search for their lost belongings. The idea is to create match between lost items and found items based on their descriptions and filters to finally get a confidence match score of whether the item is actually the one the user is looking for ( basically checking if lost-item = found-item ) For now, the actual countable work i’ve done is created a few icons for the web_app and finalised on one which is followed by same favicon.
I spent this session working on more of the Lost&Found frontend. I worked on the news feed, the UI for reporting both lost and found items, and the notifications frontend. One thing I also noticed with Stardance: when I linked my other Hackatime projects (i was working on separate directories for client and server side) to this project, their tracked time got added to the time shown on my previous devlog. My first devlog originally showed around 1 hour, but after linking those projects it changed to 6h . It didn’t work like that previously on Flavortown. Other than that, the frontend is coming together and I’m getting closer to having the main Lost → Match → Notification flow fully connected.
Okay the progress is I made a few changes and improvements across the app to make the main user flow feel more complete. Up untill now was just the frontend part. I’ve also started working on the backend side of things, connecting the frontend features with the actual application logic and getting the necessary API functionality in place. There’s still quite a bit to connect and test, but the project is gradually moving from just having separate features to having everything work together as one proper application.
Today I worked on the admin dashboard. The idea behind it is to give me a simple overview of what’s happening across the platform instead of having to dig through individual reports. It includes stats for total lost reports, found reports, resolved cases, recovery rate, average resolution time, and the most common item categories. It doesn’t look the best but works for now..
This time I worked on adding light and dark mode. Previously the button was just sitting there doing nothing. Now the app can adapt to the user’s system theme instead of forcing them to pick one manually. If someone has their device set to dark mode, Lost&Found can follow that preference, while still giving them the option to switch between light and dark mode themselves. Still doing some small tweaks here and there, but this might be the final goodbye to frontend now
I’ve started working more on the backend! This time I focused on the lost and found reporting system, making sure the reports actually get sent through the API and saved properly in MongoDB. Each report is linked to the user who created it, along with things like the category, description, location, date, and image info. I also added some validation so the backend doesn’t just accept whatever the frontend sends. There were a few annoying little issues between the form, authentication, API and database, but I’ve got the main flow working now.
FINALLLLYY I’ve worked on the matching system. This is what the whole app was all about tbh. The backend compares lost and found posts instead of just showing everything as a possible match. It looks at things like the item category, description/details, location, and dates, so a lost wallet and a found wallet in a completely different place or with an impossible date won’t just get treated the same. I’m also working on the backend logic that calculates these matches and sends the relevant results back to the frontend. A certain kinda post and match is successfully tested and its GREEN > < but there’s still some testing to do with different combinations of posts and I’m not confident about it yet :’(
Been working on connecting the rest of the backend now. I got the resolving part done so when someone gets their item back, they can mark the case as resolved and it gets taken out of the active feed instead of sitting there like it’s still available. I also worked on the privacy policy agreement during signup, making sure that gets properly handled instead of just being a checkbox that does nothing. Apart from that I’ve connected the remaining reports, notifications, matching and user posts so they all actually talk to the backend properly. Most of the main stuff is pretty much done now, just a few small things left to fix and test. After that it should finally be ready to ship. Next devlog is basically going to be getting everything ready for deployment😋
Finally got the main workflow of Lost&Found working! The posting flow and matching system are connected now, so users can actually post lost or found items and the backend can go through the matching logic to find possible matches. I also finished up the remaining bits around resolving cases, notifications, and the other backend connections. I’ve now made the project deployable too. The frontend is hosted on Vercel and the backend is running on Render, and I’ve connected the two so the live app can actually communicate with the backend. There are obviously still things I can improve later, but for now the main workflow is working properly and the project is finally ready to ship.
I spent some time cleaning up the frontend code and styles to make the app faster and easier to maintain. Split up bloated pages: Broke down massive files like Item Detail, Recovery Requests, Feed, and Navbar into smaller subcomponents (modals, media previews, contact info, filters). Now editing one UI block won’t risk breaking the whole page. Fixed React state quirks: Switched Feed categories to derive directly with useMemo to skip extra re-renders, fixed initial edit form state, and added cleanup guards on API calls so navigating away doesn’t trigger memory leak warnings. Cleaned up the CSS: Replaced duplicated skeleton loaders and empty-state styles across 5 files with shared rules in index.css. Swapped hardcoded colors and overlays across all stylesheets for theme tokens so dark and light modes behave properly everywhere.
just improved the Readme a bit nothing much nothing more showed for review and now adjusted as per the recommendations. Now the next thing is finally the shipping of project Optimistic to hear your says on this😄😄
it seems the css wasnt responding well in feed page after the hosting. took me some time but i’ve fixed the code and it works as expected now :)
Rewrote the READMe from sctrach and tuned up the CSS a bit cus they asked ¯ _ (ツ)_/¯
I got idea from some other open source web-app and added a new “Recent activity feature in my admin dashboard”. Here’s also the recent data of what ya’ll have been doing ><
Ships:
I built Lost&Found mainly with the aim to make finding lost belongings a little less painful. (You can also try the flow the other way around by posting a found item first.) The backend is hosted through render and may take a LITTLE time to load but please be patient for a few seconds and the flow’s gonna go as mentioned above
This is my second ship to my project lost&found with little css tweaks and UI/UX enhancements as per the reviews from first ship. This web app is basically a platform for people to perform actions regarding lost items. (either seek their lost item or post a found item) The basic workflow is : -Sign up with a random acc and post a lost item in feed -Sign up with a diff random acc and post a related found item in feed -The system will create a match between those two items and let you choose wat to do furthur with it. As per last ship reviews, One important suggestion i found was to include a demo video of whole workflow in my README and this time I’ve not missed that out dw. That might help yall a lot in this ship since signing in and our repeatedly is troublesome. Looking forward to hear from you guys. (Suggestions are immensely appreciated😋)
this is a tribute to my lost&found with a dead last ship with small update...

NEXUS- All in ONE –I’ve kicked off my new stardance mission - Give your website a pulse with “Nexus” which is a custom new-tab-style dashboard designed to make opening a new tab little more useful. I’ve spent the first hour of work setting up the project with Vite and Vanilla JS and planning the main sections and look of page in Canva and implementing it in html. So yes, The UI is still a skeleton right now, but the foundation is in place. Next up, I’ll be giving my page a little life with CSS and JS
Nexus has its own look now. This session was supposed to be CSS along with JS but i figured i could just separate the logs for them. SO this is just the part for visual foundation. I’d envisioned a dark purpulish theme and pre-designed the layout in canva but implementing that in actual code was really troublesome. Also added a feature for remaining time of the day to boost up your morale haha. I also embedded lucide for header icons and implemented the relevant CSS. Well, finally it’s now a html+css+js thing but still need to add more.. (dw i’ll replace that dirty thing with an analog clock later)
As promised, Nexus has its own analog clock now.. This design was what I initially envisioned. The previous version was just a placeholder for my html section. This one little update took a lot cus my math wasn’t mathing at all. After trials and error, I looked up some reference and finally managed a live-working one. Hope yall like the update
I made the shortcuts section responsive and usuable. You can add a new shortcut with its link and it’ll update in the main page. It vanishes just after a reload tho >< Finally functions like an actual new tab page now
Two major updates at once this time.. –I’ve completed the daily task feature which was previously only a skeleton. In this session I wrote the readme file for Nexus. I also made Nexus deployable and hosted through github pages. I took help from the guide for this process. Finally Nexus is live now
My final log for NEXUS– I’ve added an actual background this time removing just the color gradient one. The whole UI theme is now based on the new bg. New layouts. Removed whole box- designs and unnecessary css. This time there’s mobile responsiveness as well. Here’s a before vs after for you.

DEV LOG #11 i don’t why i have to post because the program don’t understand that i’ve made dev log before trying to ship btw i’m starting the note app i’m using localestorage
i’m making the note editable and deletable heheh
my top new OS DEV LOG #12 Hello this might been a while hehe i have work and 2thing in my os : first of all i implemented the famous localStorage for the note app and make it look a way more stilized. I also implemanted 2 new button -delete note - edit note these make the experience better and make it usable in every day life (yippie) for this a just use the splice(i(index of the thing that will be change ), 1(only this note, newNote(the new content) method if you edit. And push if you had a new one note ––––––––––––––––––––––––––then i’ve work on the message app i make my account on fire base and set un my program with fire code (i use claude to help me understand how to set up) then i’ve made the page look like cyberpunk in game messagerie! and i prepare the account button so like i said i’m starting implementing a auth parameter i still wondering if i would make one for the whole page or one only for the message (as if i make one for the whole page i’m free to implement new app with auth and without remaking the aut thing then i hope you will love experience and play the moon or jazz playlist in the musics app! ;)
heyyy it’s been a whileeeee recently i’m quite busy but i’m here to log old hour and so what i have done for thee 5h i start the animation at the start and got some strughlle and then i also try to fix the message app but it still in progress so not big thing only fixing debuging but the web site is on the old version till i finish this one !! have a good dayyy and enjoyyy lifee see you next timeee!!!

i’ve make my first ever OS i never touch js in my life apart to make a little game for my friend! so it was a brand new journey💫 i only use ia to explain me some thing about js (like a teacher), I'VE MAKE ALL THE SITE (yippie 💫) i’m quite proud for this achivement moreover the music app is like my baby I LOVE IT!! With the setting to loop or the menu i find it so great.. but i know i still have a lot to learn! ! ("GO BEYOND PLUS ULTRA"💫✨ the little quote in the top bar is an "my hero acadamy" ref, it's like outpass your limit keep learning and become stronger!💪) the OS is made in a cyberpunk theme as i love the serie! and even if i don’t have the hardware to play i watch a lot of gameplay of the game! i will try add thing like in the game for the future (map or mini game). i'm also proud because i learn how to use git hub desktop and git hub pages (i don't know everything BUT i know my way around👀) it will be use full for all my future project! this os is for me the start of a journey because before the only thing i do is unity and coding an esp32. i hope you will listen to the playlist (even if it's no copyright music so not the best of this world i agree ) and if you know some no copyright music give me some! ✨ to recap: - this os as a welcome page - a fake not app - a music app - a cyberpunk look! - and a big potnetial that can be held by advice⋆˚꩜。 p.s : i really want to make something people find a way to use so if you have app recommandation or anything i love to learn by other advices and improve, i would love to have the level to understand backend and api so i would make great app but unfortunatly i try to use these, it was a big fail 😭 ദ്ദി ༎ຶ‿༎ຶ )

YES every time i make a dev log the project took a new way TT BUT recently i add a logical thing that i don’t even think about it was! the vocal talk as i said the new step was the vocal reconnition (I DID IT) but i forgot to think about the vocal response to so now i end but using gemini ia api when the robot is on wifi and when he went offline he got an LLM that is ~3gb big to handle some litle dicussion with that i also make a litlte vocal order like “go forward” etc… and then i think about the web site the will be the command center ! i stat by making a screen with the lidar map and you can now put a ping on the map and the robot will go to this point (with nav2 use) and i also add the camera follow people thing that now when you choose the follow state your device will show the robot pov and you can choose who you want to track ==== after that a use the litle sg90 motor in the head to make the follow efficient as if the person move fast the camera will turn (max 30° each for each left or right so 60 °) to keep tracking ! == rencently i and the control panel if you choose the manual state where there is joystick for camera and body mouvement == now i’m working on the stabilit sensor (accelerometer) to handle my robot to adapt a minimum to the ground ….. but i’ve got a lot of problem since the launch of the project these are problem about geometry i know geometry is the BASIC but i work a lot on and still have problem to memories COS SIN AND TAN so for that claude ia help me sometimes i ask him to make a schema showing COS SIN TAN that help me choose what to use in the robot and for the stability i need… TAN! depending on the “SPITCH”(incline) of the robot ! yes ia help me… as i’m not a big hardware pro it like my second project to claude help me a lot about ROS/NODE/ROUTE/FLASK/ AND VOSK it just explain me how it work and help me to found the right documentation in the end that me who make the program but the logic how container/linux/node/threading discuss he help me a lot like a professor TT sorry for the big length of the text if you want more redable go to the github i use markdown it’s quite better because i strugle in stardance with markdown (i’m sixteen and a boomer TT) have great day thank to read all of that"}, {"post_id": 45898, "ts": "2026-08-12T17:23:26Z", "hours": 17.7389, "text": "HEYYYY dev log #4 i still don’t know how to make my text clear with the markdown in stardance so don’t hesitate to check on my github je journal.md file ========================================================= these recent day i work A LOT ON 3D model and ARTISTIC PATH as i pass a long time doing THE ANIMATION for the face of my robot (turtle) :) i bring back animation i’ve made from and old project “1st keychain” but i had some frames (~140) to match the different state of my robot: MANUAL / FOLLOW / NAVIGATE / STATIC so i’ve been making a turlte face for the follow and maybe the navigate state and the other is juste some cute eyes i’ve made AND i also prepare for the vocal talk so he got Y/N animation ============================================================ then work on the 3D! ( i love 3d but with the time it get hard to keep going as my pc is always crashing and sometimes loosing progression :( the white screen is now a fear ) negativity aside !! i have place the LIDAR (finaly!) and make a hole on the turtle i can not find another way so unfortunatly we got a cylinder in the top that pop up i also think about litle thing like the paw cable that will goes under the last chasis platform so i let a place to allow the cable to pass. now i just start the paw because the remaining thing to do is only the microphone and the paw as they were ready but visualy they weren’t like i wanted to ( my pc crash over 5 time to import 1 texture :/ (like we say in France “relou / chiantos”) =========================================================== i cary on ! i want so much my project to see real life before school/ sport competition/ job (every week + litle vaction ) start again!!! the NEXT STEP ARE : 3D PAW / MICROPHONE 3D / end the big part of code /and send everything!!!! ================================================================================================================================ unfortunatly i pass 10h recording but as i crash so many time the record stop :| so here’s only 10 hours instead of 20h ========================================================================================= so to complete like a second dev log : # DEV LOG STARDANCE #5 today i FINISH the fusion 3d design it was rought and hard as a total beginnier but i guess it was worth it !!! my turtle is finally complete (i just need to delete old garbage try on the file) to came here today i place the lidar and the microphone but when i finish and put the visual chasis i notice some logical gap that were obstucted so i fix it and not in purpose delete the main visual thing… so i pass an hour remake it and a long time to screach if i could found an old save but there were to old to allow me to come that back in the past. so i’m really poud of this 3D model MY FIRST ONE on fusion and REALLY THIS DETAIL i even show it to my friend TT. with this good ending it hope you passing a good day !! ––––––– next step : finish the CODE ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Update the time did COUNT but…. only 10h will be log because the last dev log didn’t work"}, {"post_id": 43946, "ts": "2026-08-09T12:16:58Z", "hours": 11.2503, "text": "today i work a lot on the lidar !!! i inplement the mapping file!!! for this time claude ai help me a lot because i doesn’t know any thing on linux and “containers” thing so because i wanted to use some librairy so claude guide me thought “DOCKER” and NAV2 (navigation thought map ) SLAM (mapping with lidar) ODOMETY ( to make the map and calculatd where i am) so it was a llot of neww thing for me like ROS2 (Node pakage) ============================================================ i also learn how to make my robot connected to wifi !!! as with emmc and radxa pcb if i connect one in a wifi it will be save so i just have to make like our phone every time i came somewhere i connect by changing before.txt file 1 time per places!! =========================================================== to end with that i also pass 5 long hour by making the wire design in my 3d model on fusion but my pc is litteraly a potatoes so i crash over 15 times and got to reopen fusion360 over 7 time and every time i lost a bit of progress even if i save sometimes! finnaly i have nearly complete the head (nearly because it left me the microphone to connect) wire design !!! =========================================================== P.S every times i want to ia to explain me i don’t record it evry time as for me it doesn’t really count it’s like watching youtube just with text and specialize for my project. —— the next STEP are finishing the 3D part by implementing the microphone/lidar/ motor cable/and redesign the paw to make them quite like a turtle! for the code the next step are the ia API and LLM depending if the robot is on wifi or not and the camera tracking/ the face animation/ emote( if i can) / the connection to a litle device if i want to control it manualy or give him location to go / the Speach to Text and be able to get order thought vocal reconizing and maybe some day the ability to get over litle obstacle by climbing litle stairs"}, {"post_id": 41953, "ts": "2026-08-06T14:11:49Z", "hours": 7.8075, "text": "heyyy dev log stardance #02 ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––========================================================== today i still work on the turtle look and learning texture in fusion it took me a while understnding how to implement texture in fusion but i finally turn to a website call bump mesh i wasn’t aware about this one so before knowing i pass a long time screaching in all fusion parameter !! today i work a lot on the lidar !!! i inplement the mapping file!!! for this time claude ai help me a lot because i doesn’t know any thing on linux and “containers” thing so because i wanted to use some librairy so claude guide me thought “DOCKER” and NAV2 (navigation thought map ) SLAM (mapping with lidar) ODOMETY ( to make the map and calculatd where i am) so it was a llot of neww thing for me like ROS2 (Node pakage) ============================================================ i also learn how to make my robot connected to wifi !!! as with emmc and radxa pcb if i connect one in a wifi it will be save so i just have to make like our phone every time i came somewhere i connect by changing before.txt file 1 time per places!! —— the next STEP are finishing the 3D part by implementing the microphone/lidar/ motor cable/and redesign the paw to make them quite like a turtle! for the code the next step are the ia API and LLM depending if the robot is on wifi or not and the camera tracking/ the face animation/ emote( if i can) / the connection to a litle device if i want to control it manualy or give him location to go / the Speach to Text and be able to get order thought vocal reconizing and maybe some day the ability to get over litle obstacle by climbing litle stairs

––––––– next step : finish the CODE ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Update the time did COUNT but…. only 10h will be log because the last dev log didn’t work
THE CODE IS APPROCHING THE END!!! ============DEV LOG STARDANCE #06 ============================================================ let’s start by the change ! == rencently i and the control panel if you choose the manual state where there is joystick for camera and body mouvement == now i’m working on the stabilit sensor (accelerometer) to handle my robot to adapt a minimum to the ground ….. but i’ve got a lot of problem since the launch of the project these are problem about geometry i know geometry is the BASIC but i work a lot on and still have problem to memories COS SIN AND TAN so for that claude ia help me sometimes i ask him to make a schema showing COS SIN TAN that help me choose what to use in the robot and for the stability i need… TAN! depending on the “SPITCH”(incline) of the robot ! yes ia help me… as i’m not a big hardware pro it like my second project to claude help me a lot about ROS/NODE/ROUTE/FLASK/ AND VOSK it just explain me how it work and help me to found the right documentation in the end that me who make the program but the logic how container/linux/node/threading discuss he help me a lot like a professor TT sorry for the big length of the text if you want more redable go to the github i use markdown it’s quite better because i strugle in stardance with markdown (i’m sixteen and a boomer TT) have great day thank to read all of that
heyyyy i just devlog the hours i pass making the pcb and the extension issuer i encounter —————————————————————————————— for the pcb i only make the secon layer as the other part of the robot are moving or a pcb couldn’t usefull i’m happy to do this pcb as it was my first time making one and that something i always wanted to learn!!!! anyways during this 4 hour just optimization pcb and documentation screaching to get footprint (thank to that one hackclub guys that help me to found one i struggle on)...
