Worked on GitHub Repo and started case for PCB. The CAD looks kinda bland so I wanna make it look better.
Finished CAD! I’m going to get started on the firmware with Arduino IDE.
So confused with the firmware, its my first time using Arduino.IDE. Unfortunately the guide does not really go that in depth so I’m trying to learn from other people projects....

I’m making a stenography keyboard, basically a keyboard that can type really fast. I started researching and planning. Then I opened up Kicad and started my schematic. Pretty straightforward, but unfortunately I just realized I put the wrong footprint for the Raspberry Pi Pico (I put the chip rather than the whole board). So I might keep it and try to figure out how to make my own. Or just redo it. Wish me luck!
Update: I figured out how to add the Raspberry Pi Pico 2 and then finished the PCB. Honestly more hard than usual, I had to rewire like 20 times and there were soo many errors. Anyways, I’m finished now! Onto CAD ig?
Very simple case for my keyboard, it connects to the PCB with 5 m3 screws and heat set inserts, with some spacers in between. I made it simple so I can print it in fiberglass so it can really highlight how cool the PCB is.
I decided to switch over the the ESP32S2 chip because it has more GPIO pins so I can add another layer of keys for various other functions. Its now going to be similar to the Polygot Keyboard. So it can write both in steno and QWERT.
Switched over to a keyboard matrix with a raspberry pi pico, also added low profile footprints.
Yayy finished pcb!!! Onto CAD and firmware!!
Finished CAD, making it very similar to many of the steno keyboards on the market. I also made a top part which i may or may not add. I also added more holes for M3 Screws
Added a 0.91 OLED to display what setting its on, finished the KMK firmware. Very straightforward and not to difficult. I’m pretty much done, just will add some update to my Github repo!
Made BOM, whoops kinda took me a while to figure out how to do it. Sorry @alex_l for wasting your time....

The most challenging part was making a Notepad and Clock app. I used Quill library for formatting in notepad and both timer and countdown took more several hours to make each. Browser, Settings, and Notepad! my webOS is expanding with new features: browser uses Programmable Searcj Engine by Goggle, which is simple and effective and I can choose which sources it can display. Settings allows cutomization - 3 themes & colors and 2 layouts. Notepad uses Quill for formatting. also, u can now try the webOS live: https://wayne-14e.github.io/WebOS/ to be continued…
I finished my WebOS! The latest apps I added were Console, Calculator, and Gallery. Also, I had to compress the images, because they slowed down the website too much. Now it’s a fully functional webos with 8 apps, plus I added Settings for customization, there are 3 themes and u can change layout. Enjoy! ;]
I improved my WebOS: I had to improve the CSS and replace all the images since they were AI-generated. Now, the website loads much faster and the code is cleaner.
Improved performance After I ran the Lighthouse analytics, I realized that my webOS loaded too slowly, so I decided to fix it: removed the font awesome script and instead used svg tags for icons, compressed all teh big images, used defer on heavy scripts, removed teh custom cursor since the diamond sword was too heavy for a cursor.

I build WayneWebOS! It’s a webos with 8 apps, toolbar, time & date UI, battery, and security indicators. There is a menu app where u can open all otehr apps: To Do Settings (customization) Notepad Gallery Calculator Console Clock Browser All apps are working and feature basic functionality. The most challenging part was making a Notepad and Clock app. I used Quill library for formatting in notepad and both timer and countdown took more several hours to make each. I rewrote the logic manu times, used Qwen for helping me find the right methods, then coded everything myself. I’m proud of building such a huge functionable webos myself in pure HTML/CSS/JS. I really leveled up my JavaScript skills thanks to this project. I want people to test every app and its basic functionality, click every button. Test layout. Took me long enough to figure out (havent even started seriously coding ts💀)
DEVLOG TIME!!!! i added the ability to change the search engine (ground breaking right?), also made it detect when u typed a url or a search query, trust me it took me so freakin long to understand and implement, anyways stay goated gng✌
SEMI-DEVLOG TIMEE!!, you know how when you open a website that needs you to set your own prefernces like cookies or settings?, well i implemented a similar system here that stores your prefrences locally on your browser, it was very easy to implement, hence why it took me only 17 mins! anyways stay goated gng✌
DEVLOG TIMEE!!! after realising that react is too hard i completely ditched it, i had to refine the code to work without it (wasnt that hard suprisingly), also added search suggestions using duckduckgo and search history, still need to make the css and some files to interact with nasa’s api, so until then i’ll keep y’all updated👀, stay goated gng🙏✌
DEVLOG TIMEEE!!!!!, fixed some more code and made the 3 css files i need!! (i mostly copied code from other projects lol), still need to integrate the nasa wallpapers and the project should be finished!, with that said.. stay goated gng✌
it’s DEVLOG TIMEEE!!! This is a big one!, i’m finally able to show some screenshots this time, suprisingly i got the api to work first time, it stays on a grey wallpaper before fetching the background and when it does it does it in a fade in animation, the first time setup goes smoothly so far but after it it just gets stuck in a loop, i’m still tryna figure out what the culprit could be, after that i’ll test all functionality and add some more css, until then stay goated gng ✌
Ships:
StarryTab: a lightweight, Dead simple, new tab page built with HTML+CSS+JS. *StarryTab is a free open-source new tab webpage project that offers a very fast and lightweight experience with zero interruptions, no ads, no widgets, no unnecessary bloat, just a search bar and you. Features: 1- a two-step initial setup: you choose your favorite search engine (or set a custom one), set a favorite color, and you’re ready! 2- NASA’s photo of the day: fetches the image using the free API, stores the image in local storage (to avoid too many API requests), and displays it as a background in a smooth fade-in animation, every time a new image is released, the old image is deleted from storage and the new one downloads automatically! 3- glow and shadows using css: once you input your favorite color, that color appears as a subtle shadow around the search bar, and also as a glow surrounding your cursor when hovering over a search history entry! 4- search history: not revolutionary but works i guess 👀 AI (specifically Anthropic’s Claude) was used for debugging and fixing problems, i’d estimate that around ~10% of the code was written using it, i made sure my code stayed as original as possible, and i’m happy i’ve learnt a lot with this journey!...

Since file logic was already made, this one was very easy!, instead of using the outdated unreliable poorly documented adb backup , it makes a backup of the already easily accesable /sdcard files to backup stuff like photos/vids, music, downloads, and whatsapp media , i made this one extra fancy just because :3, there are a few tuff features like free storage reporting with shutil.disk_usage() , selecting/unselecting diffrent types of files, backup history (extra tuff) and yeah this tab is cool aside from all that i kinda fixed some more bugs like a text encoding bug in adb.py that made the whole app crash when a filename contains special characters/emojis , and yeah thats all for today, and until next time, stay goated gng✌️"}, {"post_id": 41053, "ts": "2026-08-05T00:26:42Z", "hours": 5.0, "text": "Android Toolbox DEVLOG-3!!! The grind will NEVER stop👀 , ive done very significant work this time and trust me its peak!! Rebuilt the whole app’s infustructure!! Before, the app used to be ran on just one single main.py, but now, ive designed everything around a directory system, there is /assets for pics, icons…etc, there is /core for scripts responsible for engine logic (like adb.py to bridge between adb.exe and the frontend ), /engine with all the adb/scrcpy main files, and /screens for all tabs (Home, File explorer…etc), this was hard to implement but will hopefully make devolopment easier in the future kinda redesigned the UI?? this one is more of an honorable mention but i did add some white outline around the sidebar buttons , i made it for another change i made to look good but yeah ill probably change it back soon Moved connection status + Home redesign!! So i realised that the user would have no idea about device status when in other tabs, so i made the device name (and status) show up on the sidebar!! i also made the home page kinda useless for now but i have plans for later, im lazy to explain everything that can appear in the status so yeah very cool Screen mirroring tab!!!! Because im a chud with no friends, i spent almost 4 hours making this tab!!, it basically has multiple options for resolution/bitrate with a little explanation on the side AND most importantly (this took alot of math) a little phone mockup with visual representation of resolutions!!! this basically shows each resolution as lines that change dynamically compared to your phone’s original resolution!!, it took some hard work to pull this off so yeah no one can beat me in python Soooooo yeah that basically all of it, i feel sleepy thats why this devlog might sound a little rushed ill work on more tomorrow so until then, stay goated gng✌️"}, {"post_id": 39801, "ts": "2026-08-03T01:04:08Z", "hours": 4.0, "text": "Android Toolbox DEVLOG-2!!! Android Toolbox DEVLOG-3!!! Because im a chud with no friends, i spent almost 4 hours making this tab!!, it basically has multiple options for resolution/bitrate with a little explanation on the side AND most importantly (this took alot of math) a little phone mockup with visual representation of resolutions!!! this basically shows each resolution as lines that change dynamically compared to your phone’s original resolution!!, it took some hard work to pull this off so yeah no one can beat me in python Soooooo yeah that basically all of it, i feel sleepy thats why this devlog might sound a little rushed ill work on more tomorrow so until then, stay goated gng✌️
Android Toolbox DEVLOG-4!!! as the legend once said; you CAN’T stop a water from the grind‼️ , ive made some serious progress so here is everything!!: Made a File explorer tab! from my research, this has never been done before specifically with the adb protocol, so yeah im literally him , anyways this file browser has a side bar with all commonly visited directories, interactive path text, refresh, back, forward, search (basic features), currently i kinda lazied out on pull/push for now but should be easy soon. this file browser basically runs ls -la <path> in the adb shell everytime a folder/directory is accessed, i also had to make it load only 100 entities unless scrolled because before the whole app would crash when entering /DCIM/Camera Made a backup tab!! Since file logic was already made, this one was very easy!, instead of using the outdated unreliable poorly documented adb backup , it makes a backup of the already easily accesable /sdcard files to backup stuff like photos/vids, music, downloads, and whatsapp media , i made this one extra fancy just because :3, there are a few tuff features like free storage reporting with shutil.disk_usage() , selecting/unselecting diffrent types of files, backup history (extra tuff) and yeah this tab is cool aside from all that i kinda fixed some more bugs like a text encoding bug in adb.py that made the whole app crash when a filename contains special characters/emojis , and yeah thats all for today, and until next time, stay goated gng✌️...
