Hey Everyone! I’m super excited to ship my first project ZweiCFD , an interactive Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) solver and visualization tool I built from scratch. Have you ever wanted to just make a model and see how air flows around it? This is the simulator for that! What it does: Real-Time Aerodynamics: You can adjust the Angle of Attack (AOA), speed, thickness, and camber of an airfoil on the go, and the solver recalculates the airflow instantly. Rich 3D Visuals: Generates velocity heatmaps, streamlines, and slices to visualize exactly how the fluid is behaving. How it was made Built entirely in C++ using Qt6 for the UI and VTK for the heavy-duty 3D rendering. Powered by a custom 3D Lattice Boltzmann Method (LBM) volumetric solver (using a D3Q19 discrete velocity model). Uses Signed Distance Fields (SDF) to handle the complex math of arbitrary boundaries and real-time obstacle drawing. Rest Of The Documentation Is Available On My Github Page! The journey To be completely honest, building this solo while managing my studies has been brutal. My laptop is pretty low-end, so debugging the 3D flap airfoil simulation tanked my compute resources and I had to sideline some 2D features entirely to get the 3D working because it kept interfering. Also, Sitting on the laptop with my chronic pain is very painful for me, so if there are some rough edges, please tell me as it would boost my motivation to work! If you are on Windows, you can download the .exe (with all the VTK DLLs bundled!) from my repo and tinker around with it. I would absolutely love your feedback, reviews, or even just some stars on the repo to help me push this to the next level! :3 For The People Who Need To Take A Look At How It Works: https://youtu.be/mjVsJX-nruM", "repo": "https://github.com/toiabzahoor/ZweiCFD", "demo": "https://github.com/Toiabzahoor/ZweiCFD/releases/tag/ZweiCFD"}]...

Devlogs:
currently, as i’ve initialized this project. just working to make the files tidy and clean and adding some basic stuff.
still working on it. although the graphics arent looking too good yet. Have to stop here for lunch and some rest for my leg, will start work later to fix this.
Got it fixed. also added some new stuff, and added the wind effect (the lines, yes they move). although i have to incorporate the equations next time. before that, i have to study up on it as this is a topic i havent really studied much about :)
working on it more, now modelling the equations and physics. havent commited this part to github yet due to some bugs here and there. thank you for checking out!
have done a great session. added coloring, and added more equations like lattice-boltzmann method (recovering the navier stokes). thank you for taking a look!
i moved most of the calculations onto the gpu so having alot of particles will be easier to render. plus, now testing complex shapes and writing boundary layer equations and some approximation methods to hug around the shape. also i am planning to add 3d next, which will be tough. wish me luck!
the 3d interface is under work, although there are major issues with making the equations work in 3d and other stuff so you wont find this version on github. your patience is appreciated!!
i have been working to make the simulation more pleasing to look at . also, trying to model complex shapes and adding stuff like .obj support, lets see how that goes. have been working on some optimization features, so the github commit may take some more time. Thank you for checking out!
it has finally been starting to look very decent. I had to do a major architectural shift to VTK and QT. and it turned out very good. I am feeling burned out these days. i dont really know if i can keep up the motivation to work on this. but ill try my best! thank you for checking out.
Finally My Last Devlog Before I Ship! I’ve Fixed most of the issues and uploaded the build binary along with the necessary libraries to my releases in github for you guys to try, Thank you very much for your support till now!
Thank you everyone for supporting my project so much! I am really grateful for all of the support everyone has given me!. Now, I finally have more motivation to work on this project! What has happened It has been nearly a week since my first devlog and a few (three) major changes have happened. First change, I realized I am a stupid dumb idiot. The code I had for finding the path was incredibly inefficient. Second change, I then realized, again, I am a stupid dumb idiot, the code I had was only finding one path for every set of terms. And the third major change, I now have an API in place. Change 1: When I made the code for the BFS (breadth-first search) I literally just copy-pasted the code from the crawler and changed a few lines. This, was terrible at being BFS. Apart from a few little bugs that I ironed out early, the model for crawling sucked at BFS. Essentially, the crawler crawled a link, add the hyperlinks in there to the queue and then grabbed the newest term from the queue. However, because there were 24 different threads all running the same code there were tons of locks which were put in place to prevent two threads from processing the same term and therefore wasting time and resources. This however, is not the best for BFS, because the data already exists locally in a database, each term lookup is pretty much instantaneous and therefore having several threads all doing it at once and waiting for each other (due to the locks) is incredibly inefficient. This setup was replaced by a far simpler setup that just does all the things in a loop. Change 2: Due to the way I wrote the code, the BFS search was only finding one route for a given set of terms, this was a simple fix and now it works fine. (This change wasn’t major in itself but it made a big difference) Change 3: If I was going to incorporate this with a frontend I obviously needed an API. So, that’s what I made. This is an incredibly simple API made using the FastAPI framework. I didn’t really need to do much for this. I did a bit of restructuring in main.py to help facilitate the new API and then it was as simple as adding a call which needs two inputs, sending it off to main and then returning the result. (As well as adding Prometheus for future analytics) Example API request + response: request: GET /paths?source=toby&target=world+peace response: [ [ \"toby\", \"hard\", \"damn\", \"emerald\", \"world peace\" ], [ \"toby\", \"t\", \"subway\", \"windsor\", \"world peace\" ], etc.. ] Other thoughts: I still need to make a lot of stuff, most notable ALL of the frontend. I also spent a LOT of time just messing around and seeing different paths to things instead of doing actual coding. (Dog attached)"}, {"post_id": 7464, "ts": "2026-06-12T13:26:24Z", "hours": 4.6808, "text": "First 6DoUD Devlog! Introduction Hi there, I’m Toby, and this is the first devlog for my new project titled “6 Degrees of Urban Dictionary” (6DoUD for short). The title is technically WIP but it’s pretty much here to stay. This project is based off of (in concept, not code) Jacob Wenger’s 6 Degrees of Wikipedia . If you are unfamiliar with the concept, you choose a starting Wikipedia article and a target article, and the website finds the shortest path between them by following only hyperlinks between pages. It’s a fairly simple concept but super cool in practice and super fun to mess around with. This got me thinking, what if there was something like 6DoW, but for another website? The Idea That ‘other website’ turned out to be Urban Dictionary . If you’ve never heard of it, Urban Dictionary is a website where users can upload their own definitions for words and phrases. One interesting feature of Urban Dictionary is that, similar to Wikipedia articles, the definitions have hyperlinks that link to other definitions. This essentially creates a massive interlocking web of definitions similar to the Wikipedia articles. This eventually turned into the basis of 6 Degrees of Urban Dictionary. Find the shortest path between two definitions by only using the hyperlinks on the definitions in between. Progress so far Despite being early in development, the core functionality is already up and running. At its very core 6DoUD treats Urban Dictionary as a graph. Each term is represented as a node, with the hyperlinks on these definitions connecting these nodes. This allows the website to essentially be modeled as a large network of interconnecting terms. (Of course this graph isn’t actually visualized, my computer would die..) To build this network I made a crawler which uses the Urban Dictionary API to retrieve definitions and examples for a given term. Using regular expressions, the crawler extracts all linked terms and stores the relationships inside of a SQLite database. As the crawler discovers new terms, it continues exploring them recursively, gradually building a larger graph of connected entries. To improve performance the crawler runs across multiple threads, allowing many terms to be processed simultaneously. Once enough data has been collected, the second part of the project takes over: finding the shortest path between two terms. This is done using Breadth-First Search (BFS), a graph traversal algorithm that guarantees the shortest route is found. At this stage, the core concept is fully functional. Given two terms, the system can search through the collected graph and determine the shortest sequence of links connecting them. What Next? While the backend functionality is largely complete, there is still a significant amount of work before the project is ready for end users. User Interface Currently, the project is designed primarily for testing and development. The next step is creating an interface that makes the system easy and intuitive to use. Frontend Development I plan to build a web frontend inspired by 6 Degrees of Wikipedia. Users will be able to enter a starting term and a destination term without needing to interact directly with the underlying Python code. Graph Visualization One feature I would like to implement is a visual graph display. Rather than presenting users with a simple list of terms, the application will display the discovered route as an interactive network of connected nodes. API Development To connect the frontend with the backend, I will also develop an API which exposes the pathfinding functionality. This will allow the frontend and backend to remain separate whilst still communicating efficiently. Closing Thanks for taking the time to read through my devlog, attached is a fairly relevant xkcd comic."}]...

Closing Thanks for taking the time to read through my devlog, attached is a fairly relevant xkcd comic.
6DoUD #2: API Development and Major realizations. (As well as adding Prometheus for future analytics) Example API request + response: request: GET /paths?source=toby&target=world+peace response: [ [ "toby", "hard", "damn", "emerald", "world peace" ], [ "toby", "t", "subway", "windsor", "world peace" ], etc.. ] Other thoughts: I still need to make a lot of stuff, most notable ALL of the frontend. I also spent a LOT of time just messing around and seeing different paths to things instead of doing actual coding. (Dog attached)...

Hack-A-Gent I built Hack-A-Gent , a CLI-based AI agent that helps developers turn a Devpost hackathon challenge into a working project in minutes. Simply paste a Devpost competition URL into the terminal, and Hack-A-Gent analyzes the challenge, extracts the judging criteria and submission requirements, plans an appropriate architecture, and generates a production-ready project scaffold. You bring your own LLM API key (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Gemini, NVIDIA NIMs, Ollama, and more), and Hack-A-Gent orchestrates the rest—from understanding the hackathon prompt to generating code, documentation, and a submission-ready starting point. The goal isn’t to replace developers, but to eliminate the repetitive setup work so builders can spend more time refining their ideas, polishing their projects, and creating a great demo.
Spent today improving Hack-A-Gent’s long-term direction instead of just fixing bugs. I mapped out a roadmap to turn it into a real Devpost hackathon agent, including a hackathon qualification engine, real Devpost benchmark suite, autonomous repair loop, browser validation, and organizational learning. Also audited the current architecture to identify what already exists, what needs refactoring, and what should be built next before writing more code.
Might be on final stages, making sure the agent doesn’t blows up in users hands. Taking time but needs to be done, Hope I can ship it by this week
This week I focused on making Hack-A-Gent stable and release-ready instead of adding new features. I cleaned up dead code, removed unused files, improved CLI logging and error messages, and verified the project with a full build and test pass. The CLI now parses real hackathon pages, plans projects, and gracefully falls back when AI providers are unavailable. I also ran end-to-end tests on real hackathon URLs to identify the final issues before release. The remaining work is improving template fallback and validation so every generated project is immediately usable, bringing Hack-A-Gent closer to its first stable release.
Today was mostly about making Hack-A-Gent more reliable instead of adding new features. I finally tracked down a long-standing parser issue that turned out to be an architectural problem: the CLI and the analysis pipeline were using two completely different parsers. I merged everything into a single parser, updated the production build to include it, and verified that all parser regression tests and the full test suite still pass. After that, I confirmed the CLI now extracts real judging criteria like Impact and Innovation instead of mistakenly treating navigation links as judging criteria. With parsing in a much better place, I shifted focus toward hardening the overall pipeline by planning phased reliability work around generation, auto-repair, validation, and recovery so the goal is no longer just generating code, but consistently producing projects that typecheck, build, run, and are ready for submission.
Spent this session improving Hack-A-Gent’s reliability and generation pipeline. Fixed a major architectural issue where generated apps were being overwritten by fallback templates, allowing AI-generated pages to be preserved correctly. Also resolved several runtime and build issues, improved validation, and verified the full pipeline by generating, building, and running a real hackathon project successfully. The next focus is improving project quality so the generated apps are more original, context-aware, and competitive in real hackathons.
This is session I added a better parser so I get almost 99% accuracy and also made many improvements in the code generation. Almost done and drained out from all this
Today’s work focused on stabilizing Hack-A-Gent for a production-ready release. I fixed the Improvement Pass so it now completes the full critique -> patch -> build -> judge cycle with measurable score improvements, strengthened template fallback generation with complete project scaffolding and improved styling, added automatic generation of deployment assets like LICENSE and vercel.json, and implemented comprehensive child-process lifecycle management to ensure the CLI exits cleanly after execution. I also streamlined the interview flow by removing unnecessary prompts, improved validation, and verified the project with a clean TypeScript build and extensive unit and feature test coverage.
Major progress today! I completed the Phase 1 stabilization of Hack-A-Gent by resolving all remaining test and build issues (1721/1721 tests passing, clean TypeScript build). I also performed a deep forensic investigation into the AI generation pipeline and discovered a critical issue where the router was rejecting recoverable LLM responses before they reached the JSON extraction layer. With the core architecture now stable, the focus shifts to eliminating unnecessary template fallbacks and improving the quality of AI-generated hackathon projects.
Fixed a pretty annoying bug today. HAG can now actually reach Nemotron during auto-repair after NVIDIA 503s. One step closer to a full successful run.
I have realised that using NVIDIA NIMS is the issue, my app is almost working. , but the providors is failing at this point. I will try using gemini and openrouter to chek if it will work or not. I guess I will not be able to. And I also need to update my README.md for some reason it looks like AI written, I will write it in a funny way now.
Heyyy, I have updated my README.md and also fixed my failing tests by now. I guess I am ready to ship Hack-A-Gent for Ship#1
Got 208/208 tests to pass. Also I have implemented the providor for LLM as Gemini(Primary) -> Openrouter -> NVIDIA. So that maximum success rates can be achived. Also for anyone to test out HAG, just use README.md from github to install HAG, then setup up your API keys in the .env (don’t worry it’s all local), and you are ready to go.
Greeting! I have made 1 bid decision and ported the whole hag to python scipt using external libraries instead of building every agent myself. But for this we need gemini-cli configured with a paid account(which I dont have!). Sad, but I am happy rest all of hag works without any issues

What did you make? Hack-A-Gent — an AI coding agent that can plan, write, test and fix code for a hackathon project. What was challenging? Getting the agent to fix its own mistakes without breaking existing code. Cross-file dependencies and keeping shared code safe were probably the hardest parts. What are you proud of? Thanks for the reviews, those helped really well. For some reasons my app broke during the QA Testing and I would apologize for that. (I have fixed it now hope so!). Also I have reworked the CSS(to make it less AI slop). Also this is 100% AI free. I hope you like it
Added proper guest mode to StartupOS! Users can now complete the founder interview, generate a blueprint, and explore the workspace without creating an account. Also fixed a bunch of authentication edge cases, improved session handling, and ran a full Playwright audit to make the app much more stable.
The website generation is pretty irritation, partialy fixed it. Needs more work
