Designed the start screen and the first school cafeteria scene, where dialogue introduces why many students prefer junk food over healthier meals. Started developing the first mini-game, where players have 30 seconds to catch healthy foods while avoiding junk food. While deploying Every Bite Counts, I ran into issues with some parts of the project. As a result, I decided to rework the project and rename it The Last Star. Although the main storyline will be different, the core gameplay and overall layout will remain the same, allowing me to reuse most of the existing layout code. Throughout the adventure, the player makes meaningful choices that determine the path they take. Each right decision rewards a Gem, and a Gem contains a hidden letter. Collecting all gems reveals a secret word that unlocks the game’s true ending. 🛠️ What’s New Create a New Story Line Working on the first 3 screen, mainly the starting screen Screen in 400 x 800 px so it can be suitable for all device, phone as well 🔮 What’s Next: Creating first chapter screen Creating first minigame based on first chapter Thank you for following the development of The Last Star! I can’t wait to share the game’s progress with you.
Devlog #3 Welcome to my third devlog! Today, I focused on developing Scenarios 2 and 3, with a strong emphasis on creating fun and engaging minigames to make the gameplay more exciting. These scenarios continue to build on the player’s choices, with successful decisions rewarding Gems that bring them one step closer to uncovering the game’s hidden ending. 🛠️ What’s New Created two new minigames: –A collection game where players gather items while avoiding obstacles. –A maze game that challenges players to find the correct path. Developed the story scenarios for Chapters 2 and 3, where the player’s decisions determine whether they earn a Gem and continue uncovering the secret word. 🔮 What’s Next Develop the next minigame, inspired by the classic Snake game. Complete the story scenarios for Chapters 4 and 5. Thank you for following the development of The Last Star! I can’t wait to share more progress with you in the next devlog.
Devlog #4: Welcome to my fourth devlog! This week, I focused on developing the next three chapters leading up to the ending of The Last Star.Over the past two days, I have been working on these final chapters. I’m happy to say that I have finished writing the ending and created the snake game that appears in the story.I have also been working on adding arrow controls to the snake game so that players can enjoy it on iPads and mobile phones more easily. 🛠️ What’s New Created the final three story scenarios. Finished developing the snake game using p5.play, instead of relying mainly on CSS and JavaScript. 🔮 What’s Next Finish the conclusion and polish the final chapters. Add more features, including sound effects and images, to improve the overall experience. Thank you for following the development of The Last Star! I’m hoping to ship the project in the next devlog. Stay tuned!
#DEVLOG 5 Welcome to my final devlog! Today, I focused on finishing the conclusion of the screen. I created two different endings just to make the experience more fun. 🛠️ What’s New: Added the final chapter with two different story ending Adding sound effects to improve the overall expereience creating canvas to 400 x 800, so it can be play on the mobile device. Although the canvas might be small when people play on computer, this size allow the game to work across all devices Thank you for following the development of The Last Star! I hope you will enjoy the game.
Ships:

Inside every person, there is a shiny star shining through their life. As long as hope remains, the star burns brightly. When hope is lost, the star slowly fades into darkness, turning positive energy into dark energy. Hope is contagious — but so is despair. People surrounding you don’t just affect themselves; they influence the people they meet and the world around them. How to Play –Can play with any device –Choose your character and begin the journey –Make choices at each story point–every decision affects what happens next –Collect gems along the way, each hiding a letter of a secret word –At the end, guess the hidden word to determine your true ending. ##Controls: –Mouse/tap: buttons and story choices –Arrow keys or drag the sliding object using touchscreen in maze and catch the gem –Arrow keys or touch the inbuilt arrow key button to play the snake Built With p5.js, p5play...

I went through extensive debugging, more than I have recorded in the devlog. Fixing the lens, dealing with blur, and looking at the barcode-decoding problem, it turned out the camera quality is the major issue. #Devlog 1: Hi, welcome to a hardware project devlog. In this project, I am creating a pantry scanner. I have drawn my schematic board and am soldering the PCB. I forgot to record my soldering part, but here is the overview of the project.
Devlog 2: This devlog, it records how the front end works. I use arduino IDE with coding language C+ to make the ESP32 Camera work, It can capture 1600x1200px, which is useful for the backend. The backend is used to store the captured picture and analyse the expiry date of the food.
Devlog3: ##Working on front end My front end is using Python as the main language, alongside html and css, the website look plain as I just built the basic version Next step: connect front end and back end
Devlog 4: Today, I connected the front and back end; however, the camera quality wasn’t as good as I expected, and it couldn’t scan the barcode to retrieve the data. Now, I am rethinking how to retrieve the data and what the next step should be.
Devlog 5: Finally, I finish my first version of my pantry scanner, due to camera quality, sometime it can read the expiry date, sometime it can’t, but I already try my best to make it work. I can’t film the whole process, but I try to snip a bit of how this camera actually work in screenshot and a video

Finally, I finished my first version of my pantry scanner. Due to camera quality, sometimes it can read the expiry date; sometimes it can’t, but I already tried my best to make it work What I actually built –Firmware on ESP32-CAM: press a button, it captures a photo and uploads it over WI-Fi – A local Python backend that reads the photo, tries OCR for the expiry date, attempts barcode decoding using an external API and saves everything to a database – A web dashboard showing every scanned item sorted by soonest-expiring first, with edit and remove buttons for fixing up anything the camera couldn’t capture The hard part The hardest part is to get the camera to read text and turn it into the dashboard. I went through extensive debugging, more than I have recorded in the devlog. Fixing the lens, dealing with blur, and looking at the barcode-decoding problem, it turned out the camera quality is the major issue. Next Step – Use a dedicated barcode scanner instead of relying on the camera –Create a fixed scanning stand using 3D printing for more consistent capture quality than hand positioning. – Attach a macro lens attachment for the camera to improve small print in OCR...

In order to do you must use the caves meaning you must keep your glider intact and avoid the obstacles. Holding onto the glider will cause it to fall faster meaning you have to manage how long you stay on it. Your able to grapple and wall run for extra help. You can test it in the Itch.io page on your web, however it needs a PC to run with keyboard and mouse. The struggles of creation were just as expected with how games are made and were in the beginning mostly physics related. They were fixed through trial and error or just left out of the final game. Originally the glider would of had mechanics where you go glide and then soar by pulling back up which never made it to the final game. The models were relatively easy to make however the first design of the character was a cat. Also I had major issues with making the music so it ended up not being the best. I am proud of the renders. Apparently they reminded people so much of the PS1 that a bad edit of one render on a PS1 disc holder was enough for people to think it was real. Even if sent into an art channel. I am also proud of the controls and how fun it was even though it took so long to get the levels right. I don’t know much about how to ship these games to be honest, I have turned in 1 other project and it got lower results due to lack of dev logging and history so hopefully the read me and other stuff is good enough for this.", "repo": "https://github.com/thenetheritedog/StarDance-Platformer", "demo": "https://netheritedog.itch.io/storm-glide"}]...

Story is currently you are performing a stunt where you paraglide through a storm. In order to do this you are going through caves down a mountain. I will probably refine both the model and music but for now they work. Spikes are just if you hit them it resets everything, speedlines and running smoke are both particles, speedlines just being out of view at lower FOVs which go up as you gain speed. Smoke becomes more and more the faster you go. Gliding can go through spikes (Will change but rn need for testing levels) Also I added a cat model project I was thinking of adding into the game so I got the time from it, so a half hour of this was from that."}, {"post_id": 41851, "ts": "2026-08-06T10:12:52Z", "hours": 5.1969, "text": "Glider and Grapple update. What was added Well I have added a glider that you can grapple on to, increasing the weight and falling speed of it while doing so. You also can use your speed to push it faster. The grapple also now has a normal stat that lets me set the players rotation once in it allowing for smoother wall running. Reason why it took so long I wanted some aerodynamic glider but got stuck between it being overpowered, broken, or not fun in its intended use. Game idea is now Decided You are a mountain climber needing to get down, you have a glider however due to the storm you cannot dive through normally meaning you have to go down the mountain through the caves. The deeper you go the more you unveil. Next is probably music."}, {"post_id": 40602, "ts": "2026-08-04T08:05:22Z", "hours": 5.2825, "text": "Grappling hook added, polished, terrain testing and a new obstacle course added…. also I tried fixing slopes again and they still are alright So I currently don’t know what to add next or what the main character will be, I have an old model I might be able to use that I made for a different game that I didn’t finish. I did turn it in however as part of a website so I might not be able to use it. My ideas for what next will be added is particles, character, environment and maybe some new cool ability. Issues: Wallrun acts weird on curved surfaces Slopes are still buggy Camera is a bit weird I will probably start a thread on slack about this. I don’t have a clue what to do for 3d platforming. Devlogs:
Basic controls added. Character can move jump, hold jump, walk up and down slopes, turn camera and have a little bit of time after falling to jump (coyote time). Next I will probably add a sprint. fix up collision issues and make a model for the character.
Wall slide is here, slopes also have been fixed and give you a velocity boost to show you gaining speed while going down and losing speed going up. Otherwise I have a cat model made but I don’t know if imma keep it.
Grappling hook added, polished, terrain testing and a new obstacle course added…. also I tried fixing slopes again and they still are alright So I currently don’t know what to add next or what the main character will be, I have an old model I might be able to use that I made for a different game that I didn’t finish. (Maybe something involving a mountain and gliding?) Hard to keep motivation, might just deal with the weird bugs and wait to fix them. Probably will do music or art next devlog.
Glider and Grapple update. Next is probably music.
Spikes, effects and speed lines have been added. A song and model are in progress I am nearing the end of the features I want to add to the game. Next I will work on the visuals and story. Gliding can go through spikes (Will change but rn need for testing levels) Also I added a cat model project I was thinking of adding into the game so I got the time from it, so a half hour of this was from that.
Music and Model have been actually added into the game. So in the game now you have some visuals and audio to look at besides the most basic things. Animations are not finished and should end up being finished tomorrow. The running, walking and idle are in the game though. Music is probably final unless I really hate it. Also in the video you can see spikes and the void killing you.
It took me a while but I finished the animations and had to fight unity about the way the animations were shown however it is done. For some reason Unity instead of making forward for the animation what I said in the modeling program just made up forward based on the hip rotation? So I fixed that by changing import settings. Model is based off a paraglider I thought of in my head and the animations show that. I was going to make a glider animation but the grapple animation already fits with it so I might not. Slight CRT filter added will refine, stone texture as place holder I will make a new cave for the next devlog, maybe I’ll also fix the glider. I’m tired as hell so I’m going to bed now
While I did not finish the cave like I said I would I did make a prerelease build available now and add a pause menu. I will either make a title screen next or the cave. Please check it out I want play testers, however it does not work on the web. I just realized the pause menu is broken so I’ll fix that too
Storm Glide has a new banner and new levels are in the works. Also a CGI character built for renders is made using high subdivision counts, procedural texturing, procedural effects and a rendering system that is low intensive to really recreate that 90s CGI look
NEW LEVELS, now when you reach the end of a level with your glider you win the level. This is done by just deleting the level and finding the level with the next number in the resources.load. I feel as if I am another 10-20 hours away from finishing this as I still need more levels. Better visuals for said levels. Title screen and maybe some simple 90s CGI animations. A new PS1 filter . And maybe a wind mechanic? I’ll keep you all updated on this. Also there is a release to test this
Levels are made I honestly forgot to track unity time so it’s a lot more time then actually logged. Ok first of all we have a win screen added and a new glider model, next we have a lock on indicator for your grapple. Bugs: Physics bugs exist and make me mad Potential solutions: Remove rotating player model on sloped surfaces. limit slopes. ignore it. I am probably going to finish it this weekend as I just want the CPU grant at this point. Also I did a lot of shader testing and this was the best i could do
It has been completed the and is on Itch.io We have added decorations and a win screen. Everything that was used for debugging is removed. The game is able to be played on web and everything is now over. It is all done
Ships:
Storm glide is a 3D action platformer where you are gliding down a stormy mountain. I don’t know much about how to ship these games to be honest, I have turned in 1 other project and it got lower results due to lack of dev logging and history so hopefully the read me and other stuff is good enough for this....

Devlogs:
I’m building an app to calculate RAM speed in GB/s from the MT/s value that is commonly given. I haven’t gotten very far yet though.
Finally got it working (example shows data of my future PC). Check it out at https://hacker-anirudh.github.io/ramspeed-web/ !
I don’t know why I didn’t do this earlier, but now I added an “About” dialog and a license! (not live yet though, I need to add some other changes). While I’m at it, should I make downloadable binaries?
I decided to go ahead and upload it now. With an improved dialog and all the other improvement I’ve added.
After a bit of work, I have cleaned up the spaghetti code I had produced yesterday. For now it’s pretty useless, but if I ever decide to add any other functions (PCIe??) it will come in handy.
I found a linter called very_good_analysis as well, so the code is even cleaner now. Took forever to do though. The commits are piling up more than I’d like given I should be studying, but oh well.
Cupertino version is here guys!
I finally got around to adding another screen that calculates PCIe bandwidth. Was actually pretty straightforward.
I added a mode to switch between decimal and binary prefixes, as well as getting rid of spaghetti logic.
It’s been a long day, but I have some stuff to show for it! Firstly, I added persistence for all the settings. I also added both the Material and Cupertino designs, and you can choose which one you want to use!
To round it off, I made the selector responsive to your theme so you don’t suddenly get blinded in the night.
Ships:
Since I have exams now, I decided to start with something I’ve wanted to make for a while - a RAM speed calculator. It’s pretty simple, but it works reliably!
Funny thing that happened while shipping this: I want it to be v1.4.2 when shipping, because, of course, 42 is the answer to everything. However, I missed theming the selector for the initial 1.4.2, so I ended up just incrementing the build number for the patch. Aside from that, I think this is it for this project (what else could I possibly add?) Stay tuned for more!...

Is it bad it took me 48 minutes to come up with this?
Looks a lot more presentable now, but still need to add some more logic.
This is more like it, just need to add content to the other apps (and another function, I thought of this “Shut down” button that does window.close in JS.
I added window resizing and a music toggle. The former was just a two-line CSS patch surprisingly.
I added a meme “terminal” (not the easiest, but it was fine especially with some AI assistance). The coolest change, however, is that I added my new custom domain! Preprocessing the data is finally over (I really slacked off for a while, bad idea)! This was actually fairly straightforward to do, it’s just that I kept having different ideas on how to implement the model. What I ended up settling on is a XGBoost gradient-boosted tree that predicts the national House lean (even though this will start by predicting Senate races) using three fundamentals, and then it will use a polling aggregate per race that gets more weight as election day nears.
It seems that maybe using a gradient-boosted tree with the limited features I can use with only 12 data points is perhaps a bad idea…. A one-point swing in the generic ballot causes a double-digit swing in the predicted national lean, turning a predicted blue wave into a comfortable Republican win.
Well, I switched to a ridge regression model, which yielded far better results. Did you know most regression models can have inference run with just a few basic json parameters? Well, I didn’t until today, but they can. Anyway, with that done and mostly accurate, I got my first prediction working and with the assistance of Copilot, even a window! Now, there is still serious work on the table, but it feel good to finally have something tangible, doesn’t it?
After a hell of a lot of procrastination and conflicts in my head on what to do, I finally have a almost-complete interface! As you can see, this model predicts outcomes that align fairly well with models such as RaceToTheWH or Silver Bulletin, if a bit D-optimistic (probably due to the data-driven nature of the model, which I believed was the right path). I want to add some QoL improvements such as candidate names, methodology breakdowns per prediction, and maybe even the latest news per race, but I think overall it’s fairly close to shipping!
Now my pace is picking up, I’ve already gotten the initial work in place for showing info about the election! I needed to scrape the infobox from the Wikipedia page on the election (in this case https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2026_United_States_Senate_election_in_Texas ), pass a useragent so it doesn’t deny access, and then render the HTML within the app, which works suprisingly beautifully in both dark and light mode....

the web server works, figured out a CRT-based design i liked, built a header and wrote some JS to make it cooler!
done with the landing page. whats left now is building a minigame next to the About section so visitors get to play and stay for a bit longer
added a projects list, its dynamic. also added URL shorteners!
added canvas for HTML games, projects and journals now have its content dynamic and requires no recompilation to show new content. very happy!
journals are now in a separate repository (still compiled by the office), and the office is now up and running online!
imported my old blog posts (now into journal entries), i think journal system development is done? its 1 am and ill go to bed now lol
