So Ctrl+Shift+D / Alt+C is a small panel now, bottom right, on top of whatever you’re in. Search, pin, click, it pastes. Vault is still Ctrl+Shift+V if you actually need it. The annoying part was everything fighting each other. I’d record, then snip, and the overlay just wouldn’t come back. I’d hit record a second time and the bar still thought I was in the first clip. One hotkey already taken by Windows used to kill the rest. 1.6.1 is that last bit: the popup binding is optional, and a conflict just toasts instead of wiping snip/clipboard. Also hit R in the snip editor if you need a black box over a token. Blur never hid anything. Try v1.6.1 from GitHub Releases. MSI or the portable zip if SmartScreen blocks the installer. The hard part was not being annoying: skip links and code so it doesn’t “translate” a stack trace, don’t freeze the clipboard monitor if the network dies, and leave translate off unless you opt in. Proud of the dumb loop. Copy math, get the answer. Copy a language you can’t read, get one you can. Original stays on the card so you can copy either. I built SnipClip! It’s a lightweight desktop utility that combines a SQLite-backed clipboard history manager and a screen snipping and annotation tool into one minimal app. I built it using Tauri, Rust, and Svelte to keep it blazing fast, and wrapped it all in a clean, dark-mode Windows 11 Fluent aesthetic. What was challenging? Managing transparent, always-on-top overlay windows in Tauri was a massive headache. At first, my screen captures were just grabbing solid black screens. Building the blur tool was also way harder than expected because using standard CSS backdrop-filter kept leaving glitchy overlapping artifacts. I had to scrap that approach and engineer a true HTML5 canvas pixel blur to get it working smoothly. What are you proud of? I’m really proud of how native and snappy the whole experience feels. The UI looks incredibly clean with the matte black and glowing cyan theme. I’m especially happy with how the image editor turned out, particularly getting the mouse-wheel zoom and middle-click panning to work perfectly without the blur radius breaking when you zoom in or out. What should people know so they can test your project? You can grab the .msi or .exe installer directly from my GitHub Releases page! Once it’s running in your system tray, the default hotkeys are Ctrl + Shift + V to open your clipboard vault, and Ctrl + Shift + S to trigger the snipping overlay. Try taking a snip, holding the middle mouse button to pan around, zooming in with the scroll wheel, and testing out the custom blur tool!", "repo": "https://github.com/Ander507/SnipClip", "demo": "https://github.com/Ander507/SnipClip/releases"}]...

Devlog #1 — The Idea Date: August 6, 2026 Project: SnipClip I got an idea. I want a tiny desktop app that does two things I always reach for separately: Clipboard history — so I don’t lose the last ten things I copied Quick screenshots with annotation — snip a region, draw on it, copy or save That’s it. One small utility. Fast, local, dark, sits in the tray. Hit a hotkey, grab what you need, get out of the way. Working name: SnipClip . Next up: build the first version and see if it actually feels as smooth as it sounds in my head.
Devlog #2 — First Build Date: August 7, 2026 Project: SnipClip The first version is running. Got a tray app with clipboard history in SQLite, global hotkeys, and a snipper that captures a region then lets you annotate — pen, arrows, highlight, numbered callouts, real pixel blur, color picker. Blur was finicky at first (grey boxes, then it broke when zoomed out). Fixed that with image-space blur plus wheel zoom and middle-click pan. Settings now cover hotkeys and auto-clear for unpinned vault items. Still rough around the edges, but the loop works: copy stuff, snip stuff, find it again later. Devlog #4 — Final Polish & Shipping SnipClip! 🚀 Date: August 9, 2026 Project: SnipClip Total Hours Logged: ~3 hours The final stretch! SnipClip is officially out in the wild!
Devlog #5 — Themes, snips, and a real updater Spent this week making SnipClip feel more like my app. Custom themes finally landed for real. Glass panels, a translucency slider, pick-your-own background, and full color controls. You can save packs to themes.json , then import/export them so looks aren’t stuck on one machine. Try taking a snip, holding the middle mouse button to pan around, zooming in with the scroll wheel, and testing out the custom blur tool!
Built SnipClip — a Windows clipboard vault + snip tool with hotkeys, tray, and local SQLite storage. This week I shipped full custom themes: glass, translucency, background images, color editing, and save/import packs. Also multi-monitor snips, a Screenshots category, clear-history no longer killing capture, and a working GitHub updater (v1.1.2). Hardest bits were getting glass/bg to actually show through (not just look toggled on), and the updater needing signed latest.json on releases. Proud of how personal the UI can look now without turning into a settings swamp. To test: install the Windows build from Releases, hit the snip hotkey, copy some stuff, then Settings → Appearance and try glass + a background. Check for updates should say you’re on latest if you’re on v1.1.2. Use the same theme screenshots from Devlog #5 for the image.
Built SnipClip, a tray app for clipboard history, region screenshots, screen recording, and OCR. All local. Tauri + Rust. The hard part was making it feel instant. Recording used to copy the whole monitor every frame. Clipboard polling opened the clipboard twice every 400ms even when nothing changed. OCR froze the window while models loaded. I fixed those by capturing only the selected region with GDI, checking GetClipboardSequenceNumber() before any read, and running OCR off the UI thread. Proud of the loop: copy something, Ctrl+Shift+V for the vault, Alt+C to paste without opening the app, Ctrl+Shift+S to snip, Ctrl+Shift+R to record. One app, stays in the tray. To test: grab the Windows installer from GitHub Releases, copy a few things, then try those shortcuts. Settings has themes and remappable hotkeys if you want to poke around.
Ship #4 Built SnipClip, a tray app for clipboard history, snips, recording, and OCR. All local. Tauri + Rust. This ship is math and translate. Copy 2×3÷4 and the clipboard becomes 6 . Copy Danish and, if you turn it on, you get English. I copied 60+7 as a test and it put 67 on the clipboard. This is six seven. To test: grab the Windows installer from GitHub Releases. Copy 2×3÷4 , then Ctrl+Shift+V and check the Math tab. Settings → Auto-translate, pick a language, copy some foreign text. Alt+C still pastes without opening the app.
Built SnipClip. Clipboard history, snips, recording, OCR. Tray app, all local, Tauri + Rust. I got tired of opening the whole vault just to paste something I copied two minutes ago. Copy a few things, hit Ctrl+Shift+D over Notepad, click a card. Then record, stop, snip. Then record again. You want the overlay to show, and the second take should start at 00:00 ....

a calculator with only logic gates that can add(16bits) subtract(16bits with negative) and multiply(8bit)
finished on working on the build i will create in reel life(the photo is blurry i know)
finally finished building the first prototype of the half adder it can do only 1+1 and 1-1 but i will make more connect them and it can do 225+225 15min building 1hour and 20 min debugging
yes i hate soldering 2 hours and the results arent even 5% of the project so i will use breadboards again i took everything off
what do you think of my wiring? (these are just the inputs)
its a little bit messy but i finished 4 full adders and the half adder basicly half of the project
finally finished on working on the project now the scary part testing update: i found a lot of problems i will solve them tommorow i spent 5 hours today thats it no more
tried to fix a problem fried the components and now i have to buy new ones and maybe some capacitors do i finish it as an 8 bit calculator or make it as a 4bit calculator?
it took me like 3 hours but i didn’t lapse all of it but still i finished it i don’t care about the time anymore i know i won’t get reviewed
after hours i finished the 8bit adder i am happy with what i achived now we wait for my last shipment to get reviewed so i ship this
ok i did finish my project but why not make a pcb so i made one my first pcb btw and this is a full adder i think i still have to do more in the design or there is problems but for now this is enouth
it took me 19 min i built a half adder and added a place for a capacitor in my full adder and the half adder
i made the schematics now i can finally ship my project

Hi! Well, I finished the drawings part on the site.

Devlogs:
I am building a resource management plugin for better auth so we no longer need to create APIs manually instead just need to define what is needed so far I have setup a testbench of todo app and plugin connected to it.
Finally it is working but there are alot of bugs and problems to fix like currently developer need to pass all the fields including id, created and updated at dates etc while creating resource instead i want to refine it more in terms of input schema
I have published this plugin to npm and currently it is very early to use but it works for smaller applications like if you want to make simple todo app or simple crud application this will work fine.
Added docs to finish this project so anyone can use it
Ships:
Recently I was not available to finish this project or ship. I want not physically fine. This project will help you to build webapps faster as i have created a plugin that you can use with better auth to create resources that eventually help in building apps faster. i have also wrote a simple docs here https://barm.p8labs.in/ nothing more Thanks for reviewing!...

Devlogs:
I have made a very WIP frontend
Okay, looong devlog. Made a backend (partially reused from old project) Email verification on account creation Dashboard now loads real user data verify email/login/signup email pages* Added sentry to both prod and dev sentry analytics Added logo and name to sidebar* page names and favicon lots of try and fail docker deployment* -> assisted with AI (OpenCode)
Fix: Show real error messages in API Show real IPs on sentry/logs when behind reverse proxy Fix the redirect loop when stale cookie Let admins clear user caches from redis Add event models (classes, evaluations, schedule)
Added a scheduler WIP onboarding (import classes, evaluations, etc) Added subject routes and models. Added subjects in the UI under settings* adjusted some sentry configs bug fxes changed the admin icon *This had a lot of opencode assistance making it.
You can now create and view classes! You can also cancel them individually if anything came up.
Hi! Recent updates: Added evaluation API routes and support in the UI Evaluations now show up in the calendar view added page names disabled homework (it’s coming in a future update!) small bug fixes
Hello! I have added ICS integration support, so now you can add your School Tools calendar in any of your prefered calendars! I started by making the job that generates the ICS per se. After that, i added API routes to integrate around it. I then integrated it into the frontend under /settings/calendar. There is also a tooltip in the normal calendar page!* The way ICS feeds work is basically every time there is a DB edit (such as class creation for example) the user is marked as ‘dirty’. Then, the ICS job that runs every five minutes, gets every dirty user and updates their ICS feeds. It doesn’t really matter that it isn’t updated automatically, since the majority of calendar providers have a long TTL for ICS subscriptions. (Google Calendar has ~12h TTL for example!) I also added a README. *Frontend integration was heavily AI assisted, but i supervised it and edited some things to ensure code quality.
So, i had OpenCode do a look around the codebase for vulnerabilities and bugs that i should fix before release. However, the edits were done by me. This devlog is basically that: • fixed an IDOR vulnerability that allowed any authenticated user to uncancel any class by just having its ID. . • when trying to log in with an account that does not exist, the api now raises a password incorrect error instead of user_not_found . . • added rate limiting to /v1/auth/pwd (5 per minute) , /v1/auth/signup (20 per hour) and /v1/auth/verify (2 per minute). • Improve email validation on account creation. • Added password requirements on signup.. • Enforce email verified in endpoints. • Fixed a vuln that allowed the ?next=//example.com param to redirect to any website after login. • Added a FAQ in the calendar settings page ‘Why is my calendar not updating?’. • Don’t allow class deletion if used by evaluation. • Add loader and icon to the class deletion modal.. • Don’t allow subject deletion if used by class.. • Rename canceled to cancelled in many parts of the code.. • Ensure character count limit (8-50 in most places). • Relax rate limits. • [OpenCode] Created a migration worker. • Migration to remove depreacted onboarding_status field.. • Made many things TZ aware and added an user timezone field in the IANA format.. • [OpenCode] Tried, and failed to add mobile support.. • Standernize responses in the valid_json decorator. Many of the changes are non-visual, so i put the devlog image as the new FAQ.
New feature: • You can now change the icons of your subjects. If you already had subjects prior to this, its icon will be set as BookOpen. Bug fixes: • added very janky admin endpoints + ui. UI was mostly done by ai because its not public and just needs to work. I made the endpoints myself, even tho they are a bit janky. Will impove in the future.. • added a resend verification link button (only available after 6h) and logout button in the /auth/verify/pending page..
Added a new shinny settings page! You can edit your name, email and password
Hi! hi! The main point of this updated is that i added Homework support! You can see all your homework in a new shiny homework page. I also revamped the ‘Todays schedule’ in the main dashboard, and added a new homework widget there too A few QOL things: Added toaster responses in many parts of the code Calendar selection now uses the ‘Calendar’ item by shadcn instead of native OS /browser selector bug fixes here and there
I added a new toggle so users can disable ICS generation. The functionality is off by default, tho users can manually enable it in the settings. Existing users will still have it on. QOL things: Change email change rate limit message Styling issues ICS generation now runs in another thread (api route) fix: Busiest day off by one Made more things use the local user timezone instead of the browser one fix animation not showing up on ‘regenerate calendar links’ popup
I fixed some bugs around here and there and added basic support for the mobile UI. Mobile UI support was largely done with OpenCode
Hello! The frontend now uses bun instead of npm, so it’s very fast now! If you have a profile picture in gravatar, that will now be your profile picture. Also, School Tools has a new logo! Bug fixes: Calendar now displays correctly on mobile DRY (Don’t repeat yourself) the code
Hi! I did a major revamp of the admin page and added statistics to it! You can now see user stats, adoption stats, and content stats (you must have admin, tho). Stats are automatically updated every hour, and can be manually updated by superadmins too. Superadmins also got the ability to nuke the redis db completely in development.
Heeello! I did a revamp on the admin users page. It is now WAY faster than the previous one, and searching works very well too! And admins can now hit the ban hammer on users. That will send them an email, and block them from accessing School Tools.
Heello! I fixed many bugs in the API and frontend, and also added the ability to reset passwords if you lost them! I also improved the login/signup pages.
Ships:
School Tools is management platform for your study life. You can add your subjects, classes and evaluations. Building this project was so much fun, and I’m really proud of it. I found really challenging creating the ICS feeds and keeping them updated in a reliable way, but that was also fun to learn about.
This update majorly adds homework support. You can now create and view your homework! If you let it be overdue, it will also show you. Some other updates include adding icons to subjects and some basic account settings. Making this was fun, and i found really interesting figuring out how to add fields to existing users in prod (since mongodb doesn’t have migrations)
This update fixed some bugs in School Tools, and switched the frontend to use bun instead of npm!
This update added a new admin dashboard, with it’s endpoints rewritten to be more reliable. It also adds support for password reset, statistics (for admins) and a lot of bug fixes here-and-there....

Devlogs:
RomeoGPT is finish! Its working well! I might add some graphics later.

Building RomeoGPT was an interesting challenge because I had to implement semantic search using embeddings and retrieve the most relevant text passages from Romeo and Juliet before generating an answer. I’m most proud of creating a complete question-answering system with FastAPI and Azure OpenAI that can answer questions based on the book’s content. The live API is not publicly available because every request generates Azure OpenAI costs, and opening it to everyone could result in high expenses. However, the “Try project” link provides a downloadable executable (.exe) version that can be run directly on your computer for testing....

Apple Music takes any storefront, and Kopuz is now EUPL-1.2. Highlights Recently Added means recently added. The row was the alphabetical album list read backwards, so it showed the tail of your alphabet forever. Albums now rank by when their music arrived, stamped per file from the filesystem while the library is scanned, and the library’s own date added sort reads the same stamp. Rescan once after upgrading to fill it in. Shuffle and repeat clear their highlight. Dioxus merges an inline style instead of replacing it, so the empty “off” style could never unset the accent color and the button stayed lit for the rest of the session, with only the tooltip telling the truth. Both toggles carry their state in the class attribute now. Apple Music takes any storefront. Pick one or type the country code yourself, validated before it saves. Apple serves far more regions than the shortlist, and the storefront API is gated behind a developer account. EUPL-1.2. Kopuz was MIT, and is now licensed under the European Union Public Licence 1.2. Android is back and shippable, two new sources (Apple Music, Nextcloud), lyrics grew depth blur and instrumental breaks, and remote tracks start faster. The app identity finished its move to moe.kopuz.kopuz , so your data directory moves with it on macOS and Windows. Highlights Android builds again. arm64 APK on the releases page (API 24+), signed release job that fails a tagged build rather than shipping unsigned, F-Droid recipe, just android-release . Phone UI too: two line track rows, swipe gestures (up for fullscreen, left/right for next/prev), notification shuffle and repeat buttons, media permission flow, a keepalive waker so the player task keeps turning while hidden, WebView based YouTube deciphering, and an AMOLED theme (#634). Apple Music. Browser sign in, catalog and library browsing, favorites, playlists, downloads, word timed lyrics, per server storefront and language. Playback is hand rolled Widevine using a CDM borrowed from a browser you already have installed (never shipped with Kopuz); Android goes through MediaDrm . Streams decrypt progressively instead of pulling the whole file first (#455, closes #404). Nextcloud over WebDAV. App password auth. No music API there, so the library is read off the tree: folder is album, level above is artist. Listings carry no duration, so the scanner range requests the file head. Per server library folders with a PROPFIND picker and autodetect. Covers go embedded, then sidecar, then the preview endpoint. Use the Subsonic source if your instance runs the Music app (#629). Lyrics. Depth of field blur with a strength slider, synthesized instrumental breaks that fill left to right, the active line stays centered, changing songs no longer reads as a scroll, tab switches no longer desync, and a manual offset that auto fills from the backend’s reported output latency (#643, #647, #648). Remote tracks start faster. HTTP clients are pooled across tracks instead of one handshake per song, and the next 512 KiB window prefetches once reading passes the middle of the current one (#634). Radio uses the server’s analysis. OpenSubsonic sonicSimilarity (AudioMuse on Navidrome) when advertised, song seeded getSimilarSongs otherwise, seed at the head of the queue, and a 90s budget since cold metadata agent lookups were timing out silently (#647, 15615f36). Untrusted paths. Offline filenames are SHA-256 derived, extensions restricted, downloads staged before publication. Deletion only touches direct children of the offline cache or canonical files under a configured library root. Now we are using automated builds with github actions! This one is mostly playlists and looks. Radio can start from a whole playlist now, the settings screen got rebuilt (prefer using top bar view in settings menu rather than cd if you are a linux user), and Kopuz can follow your wallpaper’s colors live. Releases finally ship proper packages for all three desktops. Highlights Radio from playlists: Sources can now seed a mix from an entire playlist instead of one track. YouTube Music does it first, and the button shows up on the playlist grid and the playlist page wherever a source supports it. YouTube liked music is also listed as a playlist of its own, so it gets the same treatment (#591, #592, #593). Matugen and pywal, live: Pick Matugen / Pywal (live) in Settings > Appearance and Kopuz recolors itself about half a second after the palette is regenerated. No restart. pywal needs nothing configured, matugen needs a small template. (#572). Settings rebuilt: The page is split up properly and there are now two layouts to choose from, CD (default) and top bar (#588). Helium for Spotify: Helium joins Chrome, Edge, Brave, Chromium, Vivaldi and Safari as a Web Playback SDK host. It needs Widevine pointed at manually; the README has the config (#574). Track numbers from tags: Album lists use the real metadata track number when there is one, instead of just counting rows (#581). Search in favorites: The favorites list filters as you type, with a proper no-results state (#587). Real release packages: One workflow now builds AppImage, DEB and RPM for Linux, a DMG for macOS, and EXE and MSI for Windows, with checksums. (probably no space will left for macos but eh) Fixes Selection bar was unreadable on light accents like Ayu Dark and Mirage (#599). Long album titles pushed the entire song list off screen (#580). Devlogs:
Making kopuz better this time huh?
we got youtube music support now!! with a lot of bug fixes
local metadata viewer and editor added
I worked on adding spotify but failed, same for apple music too but at least i added soundcloud to kopuz!!! This music player will be the best music player ever created for every platform user!
i added mini player and tray implementation for users!!
fixed fullscreen view, it was really poor and multimedia controls were so bad, i took the audio control to top right corner so it looks like apple music now.
made last touches with the contributor and made it ready to release! hopefully first release in stardance will be v0.7.0, who knows kopuz may become stable in stardance…
better album view in yt music, fixed search for yt music, discover menu is now better, any album available can now viewable. Also we have migrated to sqlite from json so the app became waaay faster and now there is no seperation between local and server now everything is in one place.
worked on adding librespot backend (kinda), since spotify isnt giving us any music or music data bytes we cant decode anything, so i made librespot to fetch the stuff in logged in profile and play via anon yt music backend with metadata matching, its still a pr but eh hopefully it will be good
fixed source selector part styling and with contributors we fixed login issue on windows, established ai policy, and a lot more!!
Added enhanced discord presence which now has the option to show the source of your music, also i added clear image cache and rescan buttons for easier image handling.
I reinforced ListenBrainz scrobbling because vaxry reported that it sucks, so apperantly it was half my issue and half LB’s issue because BTS listeners migrated to libre.fm and listenbrainz from last.fm. So scrobbling was a bit wrong in my side, so fixed that. Also im waiting for a contributor to add offline scrobbling ability which will fully fix this issue since it will cache listening and when the LB server is awake again it will dump scrobbles… Ah also now playing was a bit broken so i fully fixed it too, now the app has great logs for scrobble stuff…
Revised settings page for better understandability for users. Yeah so vaxry told me that settings menu sucks. So i made the components like this in the photo, easily understandable (idiotproofing)
Okay so, firstly i added list view to album and artist menu, its kinda a cheat for better performance since the images are getting smaller, users always complain about bad performance on higher resolutions so its a step against it, also i added highly customazible sorting options because it was a pr back then and the author of that pr couldnt reach to his pc so i took over his task, also not MPRIS and darwin now playing integration supports seeking, lastly i started on TIDAL integration because vaxry requested it .d
I added spotify support with Public API, since this is a big app, im afraid of using the illegal way, so for using the spotify integration there MUST be a browser which has widevine capability… Is it annoying? yes. But is it working? yes.
spotify support is postponed to v0.12.0, but uhh we got some solid stuff for v0.11.0 fullscreen got reworked, now with cover art backgrounds and a general cleanup pass added quick search so you can actually find your stuff fast custom UI font support, use whatever font you want redesigned the normal radio page radio-browser.info search, ICY now-playing metadata, and playlist resolution EQ now has 10 bands instead of the old setup auto-scroll pauses when you scroll manually, plus a sync button added Helium browser for browser sign-in app now checks if the media server is actually reachable instead of assuming it is added Swedish locale
all right, so i was like super bored and randomly started add stuff, so uhh we now have isolated local music libraries, so like if you have 2 different folders which contains different kinds of music and you dont want to mix it with your main library, i had that issue so added this option, also people were complaining about settings menu so i made exactly how they wanted, also when i woke up this morning i saw a discussion opened in the repo which said, “kopuz individually takes images of flac files” which is true, i didnt expect anyone with 5k songs to use this app .d Anyways i fixed that issue and the app got faster (i was so stupid while i was enabling individual image scanning).
so uhhh spotify integration is finally in master branch, people were just asking me when spotify when spotify and yeah its here, but for avoiding lawsuits i had to use public api which will give users some bad experience, but eh this can be used as “download your own music” propaganda, besides this i did some codebase cleanup and lil bug fixes
I was so busy last 5 days for interview project but, good news i passed it! I wasnt able to develop kopuz at that time but its over, right after interview arc i redesigned the settings menu for better visibility and this is not the only option you can make it constant topbar but the default is cd selector so cope with it .d
all right so i partially migrated CI/CD to self hosted ones because github actions SUCKS, also now Linux and Windows builds are made with github actions. Also added favorite, and 3 dots menu to fullscreen multimedia controller .d added search bar to favorites page, and i also made when listen from youtube music, discord presence will directly get the youtube music photo and doesnt fetch form musicbrainz, lastly some little bug fixes has made :3
All right new log is here, so i was really busy with my job but i def worked on kopuz besides that. Firstly i added version and commit id to general settings, added progress stuff like in youtube progress bar to http streamed musics. Did a little bit of codebase cleanup, fixed a lot of RTL issues and now i splitted configs from db and now they are toml configable (hjem supported).
I finally released android version again!! even its on google play store, also we did some improvements to the app. I started split daemon from the frontend, which will allow custom frontends soon, I dont have much photos to show and no long descrips because im too busy atm sorry .d we are mostly working on the backend currently.
All right im in the middle of splitting the daemon from frontend, get ready for the holy kopuzd, we may release an official tui version too!!
All right, so we got accepted to flathub and properly setted up our page, also now it releases on google play store properly too!!! I fixed some bugs and worked a lot for splitting daemon and frontend, hopefully it will be implemented soon. Lastly we switched to EUPL v1.2 license from MIT because i want to protect the daemon…
Eh i fixed some little bugs and reviewed prs, all these hours is just because i worked on daemon-frontend split i deployed the bugs fixed version for now, daemon is way harder than i expected thats why its taking sooooo long and too much effort. Fixed bugs are shuffle and repeat button werent updating their states but they now update .d

kopuz v0.12.0 is out. this one’s got some solid stuff. added isolated local music libraries so separate folders stay separate instead of all blending into one big pile. settings page got a full revision, it needed it. the cover art loading is a lot faster now since we defer cover indexing until after the metadata scan, so big libraries scan way quicker. also local artwork scales properly per view so no more blurry thumbnails. trickiest part was keeping the library scan from lagging everything, that’s sorted now. to test: point it at a couple different music folders and watch them stay isolated, covers should load smooth and settings should feel cleaner. v0.14.0 is here!!! Dots menus were getting clipped inside scrolling containers (#586). Fullscreen forgot the active tab when you hid and unhid the tabs panel (#585).
We released v0.16.0!!! Cancellation tombstones close the race where a worker finishing after a cancel re-registered the track (#650).
Two parts of the player stop lying to you: Recently Added lists what you actually added, and shuffle and repeat go dark when you switch them off. Fixes Unsynced albums asked Subsonic for the wrong cover and fell back to an uncached request, so covers came back soft, and the three dots menu opened in the wrong place. Brave’s newer packaging ships the browser as brave-origin , which cookie import could not find. Windows with an app-drawn titlebar resize from any edge or corner on Linux. Flathub and Google Play badges on the README....

My main reason of shipping this NOW, is because I lost all of my work while organizing the website, so yes there will be more, but I need to make sure I don’t lose progress every now and then, if it wasn’t for github I would’ve lost everything and quit tech, genuinely. devlog #1: hey guys! im currently working on my very own OS, heres the thing, im confused because it feels like im making a website.. i had to read further and go back and check some stuff, still im not sure how this works but ill figure it out
devlog #1: I finally understand how this OS is supposed to work all thanks to @253_Mathilde_IYKYK everybody make sure to show her some support. Anyways I took inspo from the edex UI theme and added my color scheme into it, hope you guys like it cause theres going to be a lot more of this:)
devlog #3: for some reason hackatime isnt logging all my time in but it’s whatever, the first ship isnt even hour based so i dont mind for now, anyways i ran into a problem while making my home screen for the OS i had this but then i fixed the issue, check the second picture:O Before anyone says anything yes i know its crappy rn but itll improve, as for the files, apps and settings, theyre temporarily text, ill change them to files some time soon
devlog #4: now i finally added a calculator app, you can find it in the apps section and i used a youtube tutorial for the draggable pages thing, I’m ready for the first ship:)
devlog #5: just redid my code and debugged a bit:) it still needs ALOT of work but this should be good for mission 1, i hope, now the files and apps and settings dont work BUT im planning on making them functional on ship 2
devlog #6: worked hard on this debugging session, I still got ALOT of work to do tho, the tabs are now officially resizeable which means MORE ISSUES YAY!!😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 the calculator still has bugs it functions well but im tryna work on its size and stuff cause it doesnt work well for some people, i changed the positioning for the toolbar and swaped the text out with emojis cause that was fortunately the easiest thing to do, also I added a blink animation to the Online dot cause it seemed neat and yea thats all for now:)
devlog #7: finished debugging and even added a date :) now the calculator automatically pulls up the right size and thats pretty much it for this devlog!
devlog #8: fixed the whole glitch with the draggable windows, now it works perfectly and the resize buttons are fully functional now!
devlog #9: added a fully functional new journal app:) i just need to fix the CSS and ill be done with the journal feature, and then ill add a search bar in the tool bar aswell!
devlog #10: shouldnt even count as a devlog but meh, quick little preview of my journal app, yk what it should look like:) OH and also, the power button now works, if u click it, it’ll kick you out
devlog #11: In this update, i added a new feature, the search bar! and I even made the journal and search bar look neat in my OS and I’m really proud of how it turned out to be completely honest its so neat
devlog #12: added a news app, now making apps in my OS is becoming progressively easy, anyways thats it for tonight also might add a couple more apps and then i’ll move on to the files part:P
devlog #13: okay so today was HELL i made a files app, i tried my best and did lots of research but i just couldnt find any tutorials that showed how to connect the files file to the html ones so i just kept it as a seperate file feature that works normally but lowkey doesnt even control the desktop apps and files, im sorry yall it was just too difficult
devlog #14: okay so, i shipped my project for the second time but i got changes requested, for this specific page and in this devlog im just letting you guys know ima work real hard on this feature and finish it by tonight then ill add more apps and we’ll see what we make after that but it wont be easy so wish me luck:)
devlog #15: bro im so mad, they didnt count ALL my work im actually so mad ive been coding for 7 hours now and on stardance only 1 counts barely even one i hate this and everything about this omg and iit literally even shows the hackatime as 43hrs LOGGED, anyways i made a settings feature i guess its functional
devlog #16: LESS GOO I GOT MY TIME BACK also guys i made the apps go light aswell, i hate light mode but someone suggested it on my reviews so i guess here u go
devlog #17: I finally fixed the functionality of my settings, the apps in the “apps” section can now also change color, the display can change sizes and the clock can be switched between 24 hour clock to the 12 hour clock one! however the 12 hour clock one is the default so.. we’re done with the settings feature tho! now it’s time to add more apps
devlog #18: so the code is getting longer and longer which is making it harder to code, if anyone has any tip pls let me know and also, i learned how to make a weather app so next devlog ill show the full product, im also planning on adding a snake game and maybe a bit more? idk yet
devlog #19: I vibecoded and made my javascript a LOT shorter, i tried doing the same for my css but it couldnt work so ima live with it, anyways i watched 2 youtube tutorials, i made my snake game and styled it, and my weather app but its still not working for some reason, maybe ill use AI to debug cause its frustrating me i tried everything but first im going to wait for my friend to respond to see if he can help, also going to add a car game suggestion by a very talented person👀👀👀👀 anyways im going to sleep now cause im tired i havent slept all day, ill code later and for the record i only made the games on a seperate files i havent connected them to my OS yet
devlog #20: now I finished setting up the snake game, i still have problems with my weather API setup, ill fix it by the next devlog, but i did listen to a review and made a feature in settings functional hehe anyways not much intel in this devlog other than that, going to be adding more soon! look forward to seeing either a terminal or a car racing game next devlog:)
devlog #21: OH MY GOD I WAS TRYING TO ORGANIZE MY FILES BY PUTTING THEM IN FOLDERS AND I LOST EVERYTHING HOLY COOKED
Ships:
Amateur0S This is an OS inspired by Edex UI, a UI that makes you feel like Mr.Robot hehe, it’s a combination of Mr.Robot and the amateur tech guy’s color scheme, now it only has draggable windows and a working clock, and also only one calculator app, but it falls with the requirements:) I’m really proud of how I executed the design and how things look like right now, either way I will be working on resizeable windows and the settings and more apps for ship 2, I really owe it all to Bro Code he’s goated he literally taught me half the stuff you see in this operating system!:D
AmateurOS This is an operating system website made with the amateur tech guy color scheme and also lots of effort:) it is unfinished sure, but I’m just shipping for the mission part, I have spent hours on this project and I really hope people rate it well, cause honestly I’m trying my hardest to show people that I am capable of making good websites, the settings part is unfinished but that’s for the 3rd ship. Please rate well, and I hope you like this project:D
AmateurOS:Ship 3 AmateurOS is a web operating system that is fully functional and has the basic needs of a human being, it will get more apps on the last ship and more bugs will be debugged, but for now, i’m trying to see what the reviewers think of it, the main challenges i faced was debugging and def organizing my files, as you can clearly see from my github repo it is very messy. My main reason of shipping this NOW, is because I lost all of my work while organizing the website, so yes there will be more, but I need to make sure I don’t lose progress every now and then, if it wasn’t for github I would’ve lost everything and quit tech, genuinely. Tho I have to say I am very proud of how this is turning out to be like, I never expected to be so capable:D...

Export and import of the modes So I added a new feature, and with this you can export your new mode and then you can share it with a friend or something like this, and he can import it and use it. LoL, I wasn’t working much on the app. Hackpad firmware Added support for rotary encoder So because for now on my Hackpad there is one rotary encoder and I want to use it, I added support for it, and now you can do: setting volume, scrolling, zooming. I know it’s not a lot, but I am gonna make it more. Mode setting So now, because I added the rotary encoder, you don’t need to press a button to change the mode. Now you can just rotate the encoder to easily set the mode. Added new functions I added more customizable functions like macros, even whole sequences. Repaired bugs So I repaired some bugs so the system is most likely to not fail, but if it does, it can go into error mode, and then you open Notepad or something like this and press the rotary encoder button, and it’s gonna type what failed. So I think this is all of the main things. I actually don’t remember every new thing, but I think these are the most important things. It is mainly based on two parts: Hackpad firmware — The firmware is based on CircuitPython. Its main purpose is to act as a HID keyboard, handle configuration from the PC app, and communicate over serial. Everything works directly on the Hackpad without depending on external software. PC app — This is the main reason why I made this project. It is basically a configurator for your Hackpad. It communicates with the Hackpad over serial, and all configuration is saved directly on the Hackpad itself, so the Hackpad can work completely without the PC app. This project was originally inspired by my HackPad project . What does this prototype have? For this first prototype, I mainly focused on testing the key features — and they actually work! Here are the features it currently has: HID — One of the main purposes of a Hackpad is being recognized by the PC as a keyboard, and this works! For now, it can send simple text without special symbols, as well as macros. Mode selection — I want to support different modes for different sessions. You can switch between modes using a button, and the current mode is displayed on the OLED display. Serial communication — This is another important part of the system. The PC app communicates with the Hackpad using serial communication. CLI — The prototype currently only has a terminal-based interface, but it already works! I built the Hackpad prototype on a breadboard, which makes testing and changing things really easy. :3 What do I want to do next? I think this is pretty cool for a prototype, but it still has a long way to go before it becomes something actually polished. Here are some things I want to work on next: Fix some issues — The current system still has quite a few bugs and problems, so I need to fix those first. GUI — Yeah, the CLI is cool, and it will still be available, but a GUI should make configuring the Hackpad much easier and more elegant. Hardware configuration — Right now, this prototype is designed specifically for my Hackpad. If I want to make PadeXa properly open-source and usable by other people, I need to make the hardware configuration system more flexible so that it can support different Hackpad designs. So yeah, I think that’s all for this Devlog! If you have any ideas, suggestions, or questions, feel free to leave a comment. I’d love to hear what you think! I’ve got something very rough right now. Gone through the guide so I know the basics I’m gonna probably add a few more sections and a few bells and whistles probably
Ok so I created the basic layout, and using a screenshot of my earlier code edited and blurred. I know I need to change the colour of the text to make it more clear, and I think I wanna add a contact me page at the bottom or something.
So i added a contact me page, used a bum email obviously. The rest of the websites text uses the same white font colour for the most part, but not sure it suits it the best would love suggestions on what to change it to.
Finally deployed the website had a bit of an issue cuz it was in a folder and I had to bring it out to the main branch. Simply copied the files though so its all the same inside the website data folder
Ships:
A personal website about me. Giving a preview of my past projects and a link to my github repository. Also contains a contact me page....

Started work on the LLH(Language learning helper) by designing the circuit. It consists of an esp32, connected to an MFRC522, which is a nfc/rfid reader. To write and read the words on the nfc tags that you stick on items. By clicking the button, the translation of the word in the foreign language should appear on the lcd i2c screen.
writing code for the llh in order for the llh to read information off the nfc stickers, the stickers should contain the information, in this case the words. I have coded before in c++, but this really had me stumped. I had to watch a couple of videos and do some research before understanding how most of the code for writing information works. Finally completed the code for writing on nfc stickers with the MFRC522. Started by modifying the code I made yesterday, but I realised that it just wasnt functional, so I scraped it and found a perfect tutorial on yt, that helped me understand how the coding of the MFRC522 works. Started the main code for the llh Wrote the code that will read the words off the NFC stickers. I am pretty happy about the progress since this got done pretty fast. Tomorrow, I will complete the rest of the code (LDC, buttons).

redid the circuit in wokwi I needed to remake it since it was not properly saved. Now its time to make the case it cad which really scares me and so I researched a bit abt it.
Started working on the 3d case for the llh I had no idea where to start from, and to be honest, I was afraid to start.
