Since then ARIA has gone through three versions, and I ended up writing most of the pipeline from scratch. ARIA-01 / 02: a real transformer I replaced the bigram with a character-level GPT: 8 layers, 512-dim embeddings, 8 attention heads, 256-character context, trained on web text on my RTX 5060 Ti. Bumped block_size from 8 to 256 so the model can actually see whole sentences Added bf16 autocast, which cut VRAM use roughly in half Found out the hard way that when VRAM fills up, Windows quietly spills into system RAM and training gets about 20x slower. Batch 128 was taking 6 to 9 seconds per step; batch 64 was 0.35 seconds Fixed a bunch of bugs along the way, like my argparse -batch_size flag secretly setting block_size , and eval running 500 batches every 250 steps Final pretraining loss was about 1.30 per character, and it started writing real English sentences (that didn’t make sense yet). Teaching it to chat The base model only continues text, so I fine-tuned it on Alpaca formatted as User: ... / ARIA: ... conversations, with a lower learning rate so it wouldn’t forget English. Loss went down to about 0.91. Then I had to fix the chat script: wrapping prompts in the right format, cutting replies at the end of a turn, and adding temperature + top-k sampling so it stopped picking random characters. First real reply to “How do you make a cookie?”: You make a cookie are both a cookie. Grammatically broken, but it’s an actual answer, in the right place, that stops on its own. The pipeline works. Writing my own BPE tokenizer The biggest limit was being character-level: the model wasted most of its capacity on spelling, and 256 characters isn’t much context. So I wrote a byte-level BPE tokenizer from scratch instead of using a library: get_stats and merge to find and merge the most common pairs a training loop with stop conditions (no more merging pairs that only appear once) encode / decode with a round-trip test, plus save/load for the merges GPT-2 style regex pre-splitting so tokens can’t cross word boundaries (before this, I was getting tokens like \"is to \" and \"00 MPa \" ) a cache in encode that made it about 2.3x faster on small text and much more on big files Trained on about 1MB of educational text plus chat data, with 2048 tokens. It learned real word pieces like \" economic\" , \" School\" and \"rying\" , and gets about 3x compression. Since it’s byte-level, there are no unknown characters anymore, so Korean works too. ARIA-03 I encoded 500MB of fineweb-edu into 169.6M tokens , saved as uint16 binary and loaded with np.memmap . Then I rewrote the model: Fused attention with F.scaled_dot_product_attention instead of 8 separate heads, about 3x faster per step Pre-norm blocks and GELU Weight tying between the embedding and output layer Warmup + cosine learning-rate schedule state_dict checkpoints with optimizer state and step count, so a crash doesn’t wipe a run Test run: loss started at 7.71 (right at ln(2048) , which is what random guessing should give) and reached 4.27 after 1000 steps, with train and test matching the whole time. Next Full 30,000-step pretraining run (about 3 passes over the data) Chat fine-tune on the new tokenizer Later: tool use, like search through the Naver Search API, a separate vision-based security AI for home cameras, and an agent that writes and uploads Arduino code"}, {"post_id": 58867, "ts": "2026-08-31T13:22:00Z", "hours": 10.8503, "text": "Kind of starting to take form……. Devlogs:
#Devlog 1 Welcome to Nautilus, you are probably wondering what it is well I was watching a interview with Linus the creator of Linux and he said if they are crazier and they have the knowledge someone else can build the own Operating System so I took that and I am building a 8GB Ram operating system with fully working browser code editor music player all built in python.
#Devlog 2 I got the source code pushed onto github now you can all go check it out beware this is like early early stages so please report any bugs to my email [email protected]
#Devlog 3 I have just finished a full remodel of all the UI for the home and lock screen with full custom logos and wallpapers (I used comfy UI for it). I have just published it on github so you can see all the code and files their now. I am currently working on making a AI for it called Kraken it has 4 models each built for certain things. 1st model a coding model, 2nd model and writing model for documents, 3rd model a image/video model and 4th a pentesting check for any errors in my codes that would lead to attacks.
#Devlog 4 I have started build out the AI application that will come with the operating system. It has four models each made to run a different type of task. Kraken - Is a fully local Ai that runs on the system built and trained for coding. Leviathan - Is again a custom local AI but this one is built to right documentation. Charybdis - Is again a custom local AI but this is built to give you image and video generation. Megalodon - Is again a custom local AI but this one is by far one of the most important ones along side kraken this is a pentesting AI for your code so it runs your website or app with your permission and finds possible vulnerabilities with in your code which could lead to you getting hacked if not fixed. What I am doing next? I will be working on training the models to improve them and make them better. Working the UI/UX side of the app to make it fit more of claude or chatgpt desktop. I would be making a CLI version to run in your termnial.
#Devlog 5 I am working training the models after a tone of research I was able to gather a series of websites that documents and data for me to train the 4 models on. I was able to get the models working and printing out basic test items in plain English after getting a error making them speak gibberish.
#Devlog 6 Update Megalodon model configuration and weights- Increased vocabulary size from 1024 to 4096 and block size from 256 to 512 in config.json.- Enhanced model parameters from 1,214,720 to 35,931,136, updated training profile to “full”, and adjusted training steps and tokens in model.json.- Updated weights.npz to reflect changes in model architecture.- Modified main.py to change the script’s purpose from building a Flappy Bird game to creating a simple GUI test script.- Added a new story.md file detailing a narrative about “Write Me A Story”. This is for tests with the AI model.- Ran a training session that went for 5-6 hours with opencode training all 4 models 83 minutes each use data collected from hugging face website. All models seem to work on an average model working on optimising each model to be more personal. The models seem to be working but I am changing the colour coded and the whole ui to custom ones that I am creating so the code doesn’t launch correctly as of now due to some parts still wanting the old colour codes.
#Devlog 7 I made the decision to restart the whole project and code it all my self and also the files where getting way to messy so this is what I have after about 40 minutes.
Devlog #8 I just fixed a few bugs the clock and a nice little title for the top bar now shows. Next I am going to work on building Surfline Browser and Logbook working and adding them to a application bar.
#Devlog 9 Added a dock bar to the bottom of the screen with the apps planning to add more and due to the new code it is really easy to add them.
#Devlog 10 I got the start of the Surfline Browser working to launch google on startup no just have to add the GUI and build a custom search engine and have a home screen.
#Devlog 11 I have now added a homepage that loads when you launch Surfline
Devlog #12 I am working on a custom search engine I just started coding it don’t, mind the errors. I just want to log something for today.
Devlog #13 I have just finshed the baseline of the custom search engine for surfline it still needs to styling but it works.
Devlog #14 I have just added some more life to the home screen with app icons and a wallpaper
Devlog #15 I have just finished the cyber security tool box I am turning this from a normal OS to a cyber security OS. Most of these tools are simulated but I am working on real ones like port scanners and ways to scrap the internet for peoples social media with their username etc.
Devlog #16 It has been a while since I last posted a Devlog but I went on a trip and I was told my wallpaper was AI even though. It was a mix of images from google. But I changed the wallpaper to a photo from my trip and I also have shipped Surfline it is basically finished still needs a tone of work done mainly on the search engine but it is out on Beta now.

Devlogs:
Created a basic window system. Added widgets. Going to continue with the tutorial and then customize it
Lots of work was done! I redid the background and also completely revised the window system. Now the window has maximizing. Window system is polished so that apps can be launched via a javascript command(scripts are revised versions of scripts i used in a previous project)
Added a new app! Ever since i migrated to a new window system, adding apps is so much easier. You create your app as an html file and just add a shortcut to the desktop to open it. I added a very fun game called loading screen simulator. I am going to make some more apps soon!
Added a notepad app I added NoPad –, it has saving that persists through reloads and text that tells you if its saved or not!
Updated the readme to be more comprehensive
Ships:
This is unnamed OS. Feature list: Custom window system Allows window resizing Easier app creation(one JavaScript command) Completely custom notepad app(No Pad - -) Saving to browser’s localstorage so that notes are saved even through reloads and closing and reopening the website Loading screen simulator Game of the year, source code in its folder This is my first project for hack club so any feedback is appreciated...

I’ve done the schematics and the PCB. I’m planning to have the controls at 180 degrees and then the screen angled to 60 degrees. Giving it a overall angle of 120.
I’ve made the first version of the case in fusion. idk how I feel about this so far
tweaked the pcb, added components into fusion, next time im going to make the screen slightly higher
I’ve Finished the main build of the alarm, just gotta add the final touches like color and stuff.
Finished Case design, But I still need to do one more tweak to the pcb and Need to make a start on the firmware :(
Added things to the silk screen, made it more unique.
Exploded view of SIXzero
Started writing the firmware for the SIXzero, harder than I expected still have a lot to write, and a lot to learn. :(((
Finished Firmware, for now….....

i came up with a design that i wanted to use before i began the project thats based off of bleach - so i began with that in mind. i then looked at the hackpad website for all approved parts in the hackpad kit and placed in all of the components that i wanted in my schematic. the schematic was easy enough to create as the pinouts for all the components are either widely available or on the hackpad website :) after that, placed all the things i wanted down in the pcb editor roughly where i wanted to, tweaked a bit, routed traces and voila - bare pcb before i add any art to it!
downloaded the pcb’s step files and imported into onshape! designed a really low profile case - because i want the bare pcb kinda aesthetic - so its literally an angled plate with standoffs for heat set inserts. spent a lot of time tweaking and tinkering with the case and also made some really quick of art to engrave in the case and encoder knobs :) finally downloaded all the 3d models of the parts i will use, then assembled them using mates in my main assembly. hackpad’s pretty much fully finished, so the next couple of devlogs will be dedicated to making art, a proper github page and firmware using qmk!
the readme is like 70% of the way there already! (all the blank parts are placeholders for art and images ) i really like the designs of some of my other readmes, especially peroxide and pentoxide (wasted a really cool idea on pentoxide and im still fuming) so i copied most of the formatting from them and then once i get some batteries for my pen - ill make some art for the readme and the pcb! next on the agenda is obviously art, but also renders, qmk firmware writing AND making it via compatible are the next courses of action!
so, pcb art am i right? i finished off my silkscreen art and im honestly so happy with it and all the little references that i put in :) also a little aesthetic choice that i tweaked because it’ll end up looking cooler than before - the solder mask and case are now going to be white with the art showing in a black silkscreen (like ulquiorra’s skin in bleach) next up is making the firmware, which shouldn’t take all that long, rendering the model in blender and updating the repo with all production files and the finalised readme!
and that’s the base firmware complete! i made sure all the gpio pins matched their assignment in qmk with the xiao documentation, and now have a (hopefully) functional piece of firmware to test the board with. the firmware also includes encoder functionality and a basic rgb lighting pattern for the leds - although i will be further testing it once i actually physically build it! the firmware does NOT include via functionality OR oled functionality YET - and i will be uploading both the non-oled firmware and the oled + via firmware to the repo when i get around to committing all the files to it. for now - all that’s left is rendering and repo polishing!!
renderring complete! i made 5 renders in blender and i’m really happy with the results, which you can see in the images below. all thats left is finishing off the repo, then i can ship it!!!
and so the design process comes to an end! the readme has been finished and i’m very proud of how it looks - see for yourself in the images :) now to submit the design for funding!!
finished the soldering! not much to say other than now that left is to wait for the 3d printed parts to ship - its looking good!
heat-set all the inserts and bolted the pcb to the case and thats the hackpad done! looks awesome - now all thats left is to ship it :))...

I FINALLY, FINALLY managed to finish the Pybricks firmware-fork in order to upgrade limited storage size of 512 bytes to 8 kilobytes. This allows longer programs to be stored on the flash without needing a computer attached. I also fixed some annoying problems with btstack, which is apparently a seperate github thing, or so I thought? I’ll find what the problem actually was. Fixing it was mostly time consuming trial-and-error.
I started to work on the logic for the LEGO robot, it can now track it’s position using sin(rad) and cos(rad) where rad = angle * pi / 180 and applies it to x, y and last_distance. Sorry sometimes I use devlogs to nerd talk :)
I finished the framework of the RoboTrack main Python script. It now uses odometry to calculate it’s position and can drive to specific coordinates. It can write bytes to flash memory and can read them. It’s now time to write a bytecode interpreter to actually give meaning to the written and read bytes.
I got motorsnapshots working, so you can program motors other than wheels. This is really important for the robot but really hard to implement with the strict 8-byte limit on each instruction. I managed to get it working by combining signed 16-bit integers and unsigned 8-bit integers.
OMG I was busy for SO long finding ONE simple bug regarding the robot spinning in circles. It was really simple. Most bugs are. However, I found it out and now it’s getting better every update! I really hope no more bugs show up, but it’s inevitable.
I’ve started to work on the Flutter Dart Frontend for RoboTrack and made the python script way more robust. It’s hard, really hard to make sure that the hardware-side of this project is doing as it should. It always spins or lives it’s own life.
I’m almost done with the python script, but I started to work on the big boy RoboTrack app, which you can see a visualisation of what the RoboTrack robot thinks. Every grid square is 1 cm and it nearly updates live. I also implemented some mock data generators. If you do not have a SPIKE robot, you can still test it out because the app emulates a robot.
Getting way better using Flutter, I’m really learning it. I now have a cool analytics page, starring a location visualisation, battery bar, X/Y and yaw/pitch/roll gyro plus visualisation. I’m ready to start coding Bluetooth communication now.
The project is getting way better, mostly because of the BLE-telemetry now working and connecting! You can actually see your robot live due to my python changes. Now it’s time to work on recording and changing specific slots.
Added a virtual/live robot connected mark (so you can actually see if the robot is a mock or not) with a package counter and hopefully working battery indicator in the future! Also better visualisations and less lag due to setState being called every 20ms (which rebuilds the entire page every tick)
Wooohoo, it can actually sync to the robot and read the flash! With bi-directional communication, you can send commands and recieve data, like, in the picture below “GETSLOTS” which recieves what slots are occupied! Overall really nice, and I polished it a bit....

Devlogs:
I have done the hero section and moving to the projects section :D
I have done the projects section Sorry for a 3hr devlog ;-; My first design for this part is scroll sync-link (or whatever it called), meaning that when you scroll the site, instead of boring scroll like normal, the site will change itself based on the scroll. Sound cool right >:) Thats until you work on its. It took me so much time that I decided to move to the traditional, click to see method.
My site is live now
It is quite a long time from the last update, isn’t it >:) To sum up, I’m moving to Astro for SSG and TailwindCSS so I don’t have to manually do the CSS Also, I’m adding new section is about my life (or education )
Some updates here: I split the education into a separate part I have done the about me page. I think I have to reorganize the about me page because it looks a bit messy. I have done the projects page: Thats all
I’m doing the responsive UI
The UI for phone is quite complete now. But the responsive UI support of TailwindCSS is quite limited, so I can’t implement the UI for tablet yet. Also, if you have a bad experience with the UI, the elements are randomly placed, try to decrease the scale of your browser, it may fix the problem
I just made some changes to adapt the normal scale on Windows browser :D
Ships:
I made a simple site to introduce myself :D It has: the home, project and links section, as simple as that
I made a personal website :D so…. what changes Previously, I have made it with vanilla HTML and CSS to submit to Personal site quest. Now I have switched to Astro and TailwindCSS. I choose Astro because I just need SSG, no client-side code needed. Also, I added the education page where I yap about my schools. And I reworked the Projects page for cleaner looks Thats it :D P/s: Some of these images are clickable. wanna know more ._.? So the tech stack I use is: Astro + Vite, TailwindCSS for CSS things I use Github Pages (automated with Github Action) for hosting this site (thank you Github). But I’m planning to self-host it....

Devlogs:
Devlog 1 Smart Switchboard I am working on this smart switch board. It will have 4 buttons and rotary encoder switch controlling non smart devices with relays and a smartlight and smartfan with their API. 2 buttons will be controlling 2 lights via a relay and 1 button will be controlling a socket with relay. 1 button will control a smartbulb via esp 32. Then a smartfan will be controlled by a rotary encoder switch with smart fan api. I started working on the schematic and wasted so much time looking for the right symbol and footprints of a relay module. Right now its pretty messy I will fix this and also add LED indicators.
Devlog 2 I reworked the schematic. My light bulb has some kind proprietary way of controlling and doesn’t have any simple API. So I just added another relay. I also added LED’s which will act as indicators around my switches and rotary. I already have socket so I will reuse it. I did the wiring and since everything is not on a single pcb and things have to be placed far away I will just keep this as a schematic and not make a pcb. -_-
Devlog 3 I made a simple 3D for the switchboard plate. It has holes to place the LEDs, push buttons and rotary. The buttons and rotary will also be 3D printed. The plug socket will be stuck behind it. Next I need to add screw holes to mount it and a border.
Devlog 4 Finished the 3D model I just finished with the 3D model. I have made the complete base with borders. I measured the position of screw holes in my current switchboard and placed the screw holes in this accordingly. However I don’t know how do I hide these screw holes. I just added these circular caps. It is not the best solution so if you have any ideas on how can I cover the screw holes then pls tell me in comments. I also made and initialised the github repo.
Devlog 5 README! Made a Readme specifying the entire project and also a Bill Of Materials (BOM). The firmware part is still left though.
Devlog 6 Made a simple webpage Today I made a simple html and css page which will be used to control the devices. It just has a title and a few buttons in a grid. Later I will map javascript functions to actually control them.
Devlog 7 Completed the Firmware The firmware is also ready!!! I made the firmware through which you could control the 4 relays mapped to 3 lights and a socket with either the webserver or the physical buttons. The led lights would respond accordingly. The rotary will be used to control my smart fan via an IR blaster API. Right now it might not be he best but I will improve and fix bugs once I get the hardware.
Built! I made the switchboard. I came up with one issue only. The led are 2mm wide so its basically not possible to solder them. other than that it works

Devlog 1 s2 This is my first “ after-shipment MakeLog ”, I am so happy to have my components that I actually forgot to devlog properly, so this one is for the physical build What is the BKpad? This custom shaped macropad lets you write emojis, change your system volume, and is the best controller for BKball, my game :D What did I do this time? I received all the pieces!!! I now have: the custom PCB all the pieces from the kit The case (rip the lost one) With all that, I soldered the components, I tested the connections, I cut 0.5mm on each hole of the case, the translucent material is not very precise :3 I got to make the pcb go into the case then I soldered the keys. I later had to make the inserts go in ! (don’t look to the 0.5mm not in the hole ) I had to resolder my first led and then everything was nice. It was super nice to have a “pro” soldering station (8898 JCD on aliexpress hehe). Finally, I had to find a cable which could go in my case. Xiaomi cables are too big, some other wasn’t “data” . A no name one was good, so if I upgrade the design I will have to think about make more space inside What’s next? ( I already did this but I prefer to cut the process in clear steps) I will have to test the firmware, modify it, find it is deprecated then sell my soul to the demon Goodbye :D...

I’ve been working on a realtime CPU voxel raytracer. It utilizes raymarching combined with multi level DDA for fast primary rays. I calculate distance fields stored in an octree format to optimize the raymarcher. I simded the ray direction calculation and multithreaded it. It utilizes checkerboard rendering while keeping the quality seemless. Every even frame gets to use odd’s frame distance, to speed up the traversal speeds. I want to implement a low level traversal algorithm for odd frames to speed up their traversal as well. Sadly I am not yet ready to blog but I am forced to as to not lose more hours. I tried to experiment with more techniques but I decided to still go with raytracing as I already have anotehr rasterization project going on.
I’ve been working on optimizing the renderer and the world structure and acceleration data generation. I’ve implemented that low resolution pass, screen space lods that calculate the distance to start based on resolution and fovy. Along with just making the algorithm faster. I added secondary rays that use per voxel data as it’s faster to calculate (so a cheat code in a way because per pixel shadows are more expensive) they are only a visibility check for now. Along with speeding up the world gen and adding actual tree crowns. I plan on simiding the rays themself now along with the fact that speeding up world gen and making it more interesting is one of my more important tasks along with implementing proper global illumination and upscaling(there is a partial simple implementantion however it does no edge detection and smoothing). This is all running on a 5950x at 1000x1000 resolution at about 40-45 fps average (yes I know a frame time should be given instead of fps but I haven’t yet exactly built a debugger for it) however at 80% internal resolution it’s about 50-60 fps.
I’ve been optimizing the project. Now it can handle much larger render distances, at higher fps and I added deduping along with light absorption per material. It’s highly experimental but it works. I’ve improved on the terrain gen a bit more so that the scene is a bit more complex. I also finished lods. I am preping the ship
I implemented colored lighting, and light absorption, eg different materials absorb different amounts of light along with light diffusion so that light scatters, I am working on an upscaler and on demand probe allocation(it’s easily the heaviest part of the storage). I also implemented quantizing distance4 values to consume less memory. I also speed up world generation and multithreaded it. Overall focusing on memory storage. It’s very buggy rn however so a lot of bug fixing incoming
I’ve been working on documenting my ray tracer further. Here’s a link to my blog post explaining the technical details: https://nixuntris.github.io/Private-Website/blueprint.html?id=raytracer
I implemented larger worlds and a very basic menu to choose it’s size. Along with the ability to dynamically change resolutions, (currently controllable by keyboard but I want to make a full ui for all the graphical stuff). I removed trees as I want to move towards space colonization and ones that will actually look good. Overall rendering a world that is 4096^2x512 is not much slower than 8192^2x512 thanks to distance fields. I am moving forward with getting acceptable performance for a game, but it’s still not perfect. Also superliminal gave me a license to their cpu debugging software suite for free ;) so it will get fine tuned after I have all techniques implemented
I have implemented more different world types, gui improvements, water reflections, world loading and unloading etc… Mostly general optimizations and QOL improvements rather than a deep technique. Something I plan for the release after this one
Clouds and more optimizations. I store 2 pre-calculated noise maps, one is height, the other is density I use them in combination to create clouds
I’ve implemented gradual world gen, so instead of generating all at once they get generated on demand. Currently it’s still constrained to a specific size but I will fix it by changing to a hashmap. I need to also implement chunk prioritization for better experience and multi thread it better.
I’ll let the video speak for itself
I have implemented lights, currently they are pixel pixel. Not going with per voxel probes, too expensive. Probably gonna do irradiance 8^3 probes. Very simple not yet optimized
I implemented a chunk based acceleration tree, so that only chunks within the radius of the light get lit. Not that much. Been busy with school and studying math. I will be working on documenting the technical changes since the last blog post. Currently just releasing since a lot of hours accumulated since the last release
Ships:
I’ve implemented a software raytracer that runs on the CPU in real time. It’s quite heavy still so a beefy system is recommended. (I use a 5950x). It uses avx2 to speed up the direction calculations along with a low level ray pass (the complete list of functionality is listed in the release description on github)
I implemented GUI, more varied scenes, reflections to the water Along with general QOL and it should be slightly faster than before. I worked on documenting the technical details as well
I’ve finished another release of the voxel engine, it’s more optimized, has volumetric clouds, light sources and procedural generation....

Devlogs:
Took so long to make the based mash and it was good enough to work ok and need to make it perfect and make some small small changes along the way.
Did so much changes and I think this is the final model I can get, maybe little more changes and textures I can add in next devlog, it’s looking good i think I did a great job to get to here and make it much more my style and better over time
I added small details and sum small changes to the topology and cut out opening to add this that come out and I add the landing gear and it was the most complex part today and i even animated it and it look so perfect.
I did the texturing for the all and I make the interior and put weapons that come out from openings, next will be backing the texture and sum small details to make it perfect.
Finally finished baking the textures to the body
finished up all and its ready now
Ships:
this model is finished now all of the details are in the readme how you like it...

Devlogs:
Started with the python dashboard, there will get some more information here, but its a nice start. I did that with a lot of help of AI, because I am not good yet at python, but I was able to do the debugging. I am trying do to the website by myself.
As planned, I am coding the website by myself, so it’s a lot slow, but the structure is ready, just need some css.
Had some time in school, so I started adding css and javascript. Struggeled a lot with JavaScript, don‘t know much about it.
Mainly fixed bugs, also added some css
I had massive problems with Git, because of the venv. Now I deleted it, everything works perfectly now. Also added css.
I now started with CSS, the buttons were a good start.
I started adding the first settings and styling them.
I started doing some backend, so if you change the settings, they also get saved in a json file. I also added one new tab to the settings, were you can choose if you want your dashboard to have an preset theme or you can even choose your own color.
Finally the settings saving works properly now. I also started writing my readme
Now you can’t save your settings without filling out everything
I completly redesigned the notifications, because the they are declarated as “success” so the browser styles them as “success” but i don’t want this, because this doesn’t match the design of the website. Every section like settings or home has its own html file now for more structure and less chaos Fixed some JS and CSS bugs
Added a new font, but I have to look for another one, don’t really like that one yet Now if you select the countdown to date widget, there opens a window, in which you can select the date. There were some problems with the IP location, so I tried to fix them, didn’t have that much success.
I redesigned the website, it has a different font and a different color now.
I now styled the hover and click animation for the new button styles. I also added the about me content and styled it.
I now started adding the possibilty to add your google calender to the dashboard. thats a lot more difficult than I thought at first. I deleted half of my code now, that’s why I don’thave any screenshots right now.
Now it finally shows everything from your google calender also in the dashboard. I had a lots of help by ai here.
I started adding the possibility to add stocks or crypto currencies
now you can also change your settings by pressing the change buttons, not only when ticking the checkboxes.
I started with the notification widget, but you only have your emails yet.
I fixed some bugs in the design If you open the windows for the notifications or something like that, the background, so the website gets blurry I added a favicon/logo
Now, you can’t just get the .env file anymore. I also added the function, that if one person connects her google account, not everyone can see his appointments and everything.
I now started with the actual python dashboard, i am not happy with the design yet and half of the functions don’t work right now, but i think it’s a pretty nice start
I now added the functinality for the start dashboard button
I added a new menu design, so the menu hovers open now.
Just fixed some pretty stupid design bugs
I spent the whole fucking time trying to tell this stupid piece of shit to not fucking move. It did ignore me of course all the time. Whatever, I don’t want this anymore.
I tried to fix the issue with the about div, so it doesn’t move. Wasn’t successful again.
I think the website is actually ready for the python script now.
Devlog 29 1. Google I now created a completly new project at google claude, because somehow the website always said, the client was deleted. It still says that I don’t now what to do. I’ll just wait now, maybe it doesn’t load properly With the new google project, I added the new secret and the new google id to the .env I don’t have an .env file for the google secret and id anymore, I now use the json file by google 2. Fixing design issues Somehow, one checkbox was always the wrong size. That’s because the text was too big. I now made the text smaller, so the checkbox has it’s proper size now Now, if you select the checkbox for preset theme, you can’t choose a custom color any more. You also can’t select a preset theme, if the checkbox for custom color is checked
#Devlog 30 1. Google Now you finally can add your google account to the website That just works if you are on localhost, on server, it doesn’t work yet, don’t really now why The problem was, that I didn’t give google any authorized javascript origins, which leads to the problem, that the origin is authorized 2. API Safety Because of the new json file with my google api key and everything, the json files were accesible for anyone in internet, I did also fix that
#Devlog 31 1. Getting the website ready There was again a problem with the google services, I submitted my website now for verification. Because of some reason you weren’t able to scroll in the settings section, I fixed that 2. Python dashboard I started with the dashboard, I pretty much redesigned it, it looks different to the old version. The google services like calender or gmail don’t work yet and the color isn’t as I want it yet. But it’s a good start. I again had lots of help by AI here, because as I already wrote, my python knowledge is pretty ass.
Devlog 32 Dashboard Design If you choose a custom color now, not just the text and the lines have that color, but the whole website. It was pretty complicated to be sure, that the contrast is neither at really light nor at really dark color ass.
Devlog 33 1. Google On the Python dashboard, neither your google calender nor your notifications are shown proberly. I still have to fix this I tried verifying my app with google, so it’s public and anyone can use it and I don’t have to declare you as test user for you to be able to use the website and show your notifications and stuff 2. Dashboard Design The edges of the python dashboard are curved now The dashboard also works now with really dark of really light color and the contrast isn’t shit anymore
Devlog 34 1. Google Google still wasn’t able to verify my app, so it’s still just avaible to specific test users The calender/notification date is also not shown properly yet, there is some problem with the json file, I still wasn’t able to fix this 2. Python dashboard The corners of the dashboard widgets are somehow not as curved as I want them to be, and the resolution is also trash some how
Devlog 35 1. Dashboard design The curved edges didn’t want to work propably, so I made them not curved again Fixed some color issues, because at some specific color like dark red the contrast was trash 2. Widgets The weather widget works again now, that was just a small fx I am currently having a lot of trouble with the calender widget, because I always wondered why the appointments aren’t shown probably on the dashboard. Devlog 36 That’s a problem right now, because I did exactly nothing. I added the function, that your google account that you added, is saved in the json file. But because of some stupid reason, the website didn’t find the json file anymore as soon as the google account was connected. I know it’s not a good idea to log this time right now, but I didn’t find a way to “delete” time, and I also just don’t want to start this project over again.
Devlog 37 I didn’t do much, I just added some functions which got lost by my project reset. Somehow, the buttons on the website didn’t work also, so I fixed that.
Devlog 38 I used the whole time to get the python dashboard on the website. Streamlit helped a lot and now I finally have a version which works (sometimes). There are still some errors with API keys and the settings being transferred correctly on the website....

Devlog #2 Big update this session. I finished routing all the parts, connecting the schematic and PCB fully. The first routing pass ended up pretty messy though, so I went back and rerouted everything properly, this time adding a proper GND pour and a small VCC pad for cleaner power distribution. While I was at it I also added a logo to the board for a nicer finishing touch, and did a final routing pass along with resizing the edge cuts to get the board outline dialed in. Devlog #3 Another big step forward this session on the mechanical side of things. I designed the whole case in Fusion, working out the internal structure to fit the PCB, standoffs, and all the components properly. Along the way I went back and changed some mechanical details on the PCB itself to make future cable management easier, since the first layout would’ve been a pain to wire up cleanly inside the case. On top of that, I put together a rough first version of the button mechanism using a TPU part. Lots of small back-and-forth between the case and PCB models to make sure everything lines up, but it’s coming together nicely.
Devlog #4 Started building the OrbitPad Configurator app using Python and CustomTkinter. It’s got a sidebar for switching between app profiles, a live preview of the 12 key grid and both encoders, and a panel to edit each key’s icon, title, and shortcut, plus an icon picker and layer switcher. I started with a simple idea, but while building it I ended up learning a lot about scenes, scripts, collisions, timers, character selection, level transitions, and fixing bugs. The most difficult part was making everything work together properly, especially the character selection across different levels, the locked/unlocked exits, the timer system, and the second laser level. There were so many small issues that kept coming up, and sometimes fixing one thing created another problem. I’m really proud that I kept working on it and turned the idea into a complete playable game with two levels, different challenges, restart functionality, and a proper ending. I also learned a lot about Godot during the process, and by the end I felt much more comfortable finding things and understanding how the project was structured. You can test the full game using the Try project link. Title: My First Godot Game by @Zemal | Stardance
Devlogs:
Today I worked on my Godot game. I created and tested different parts of the game, fixed some problems, and learned more about how Godot works. I also improved the gameplay and made progress on the project.
Today I added a timer to my Godot game and made a proper time-up screen. I also added a restart button so the level can start again after losing. I had a few problems with button signals and node names, but I fixed them and now the game is working better.
Today I worked on Room 3 of my Godot game. I added laser hazards, a collectible key, and an exit system. The player now has to avoid the lasers, collect the key, and reach the door to complete the room. I also fixed several script and movement issues while testing the level.
I’m currently working on improving Room 3 of my game, “Out of Sync.” I added moving laser obstacles around the key to make the level more challenging, adjusted the player and collision sizes, and finished the escape flow. I also redesigned the room-complete screen with a neon theme, a glowing Continue button, and sparkle effects that appear when the player hovers over it. The level is starting to feel much more polished and complete now.
Polished the title screen and it took a lot of effort 😭 I changed the main title font, worked on the purple panels, fixed the spacing, and cleaned up the character selection and Start button. I’m really tired now, but the more the game starts looking better, the more I feel like continuing and building the next parts.
Finally got Level 1 into a proper playable state today. Added the 5-key challenge, timer, counter, locked/unlocked exit, and made the transition to the next room automatic once the level is cleared.I also cleaned up the HUD and fixed a bunch of annoying key/pickup issues along the way.It was one of those sessions where one small bug kept turning into another but seeing the full level work from start to finish was worth it. Next up: polishing the next room and making the game more challenging.
Finally finished reworking Level 2! I changed it from being too simple into a more challenging laser room. Now the player has to reach 3 switches placed around the room, avoid the moving lasers, turn them off one by one, and then unlock the exit. Also fixed the character selection so the same character you choose at the start continues into this level too. This part took a lot of testing because the laser collisions, switches, and exit kept breaking in different ways but it finally works properly now.The game is basically complete now, and I’m really happy with how much better Level 2 feels compared to before.
Finally finished the whole game Both levels are now complete and working properly. I also fixed the last few issues with the character selection, exits, and the browser version. I tested the full game from start to finish and everything is working now. This project honestly made me so tired but I learned a lot while building it. At the start I barely knew where things were in Godot, but after working on it for so long, I got much more comfortable with scenes, scripts, signals, collisions, and fixing bugs. The game is now live in the browser and the code is also on GitHub. Really happy to finally finish and ship my first Godot game :)
After I got the changes request, I went back to the game and changed a lot of the visuals.I made the new backgrounds myself in Canva and tried to keep everything in the same purple glitch theme. I also made the switches myself in Canva and changed the keys and character images so they matched the new style better.I worked on the title screen, character selection, Level 1, the laser room, the restart button, and the ending screen. I also added a moving background to the final screen. Most of the work today was fixing the parts that were mentioned in the feedback and making the game look more consistent. I still need to upload the updated version to itch.io, but the changes are now working in the game.
Finally finished the updates!!! I uploaded the new version to itch.io and tested the whole game again. Everything is working properly now, and I also changed the screenshots so they match the updated game. I recorded a quick playthrough to show how it looks now :)
Ships:
I made my first ever Godot game, Out of Sync, and honestly this project was much more challenging than I expected. I’m really happy to finally finish and ship my first Godot game!...

Added the first inventory GUI for the small basic bundle Devlog #7 for Bundly coins Soo since the bundles should have some sort of functionality to them, I finally started the most complicated part of this project I fear - making the functions of the pouch. So the first thing to do was the inventory. Inproving it
after many hours of work i have finnaly added some photos. - I now need to add css for the photo sizing. neaten up the exsting pages. add the remaining pages.
I have now soterd out the styles for the horses and voununterring page and made it look a bit nicer. it is done enough for the moment so i going to move onto the nect pages now to try and get it kinda workings
I have know completed the Knitting page. i have put in filler photos for the time being but other wise it all pritty much works. -f
Dont know if i like the colors of this new page or not but giving it a go none the less i think i might rever to the og colors. spent 30 mins trying to make the progress bar work still havnt made it 100 percent work
i have made the baking and cooking page need to add info and photos to it
I have now made the clibing page and will finish the rest of it tomorrow when i get time to do so. i think it looks ok but i need to work out what layout i want. i also need to try and keep styles diffrent but simular if that makes sense
i have started on the candle and soap making page and climbing page. i have also added in quite a bit of alt text to make it more acsessable for people and more legable.
Adding in more styles to the soap and candle making page ignore the photos
i have added in the cane page and the styles to it and all i have to do now is do the hobbies page.
i have made it look nicer
Most of the pages are now built: horses and volunteering, knitting, baking and cooking, climbing, soap and candle making, and the caning page. I added alt text to the photos so the site is more accessible, and I’ve been tweaking the styles so every page has its own look but still feels like the same site. I’ve also made the whole thing look nicer.Still to do: finish the hobbies page, swap the filler photos for real ones, and fix a few broken links and typos.

Porpholio is my personal portfolio website, built from scratch in HTML, CSS. I’m teaching myself to code through tutorials. It has pages about me, my coding, my hat business, my Toylander kit car build, my hobbies and my poems. It’s hosted on Vercel, and the code is on GitHub. The site isn’t finished yet. Photos and a few pages are still to come. I’m dyslexic and have ADHD, so spelling mistakes and unfinished sections are something I’m working on as I go....

Devlogs:
Progress up until now So I’ve been working on a custom CPU for about a month over the summer. I’ve spent about 3 hours everyday working on researching and designing it. I have just uploaded the project to Stardance so I don’t have any devlogs yet. I also haven’t started much coding until recently so I don’t have much time spent. I’ll make a couple more devlogs about the design process until now.
Beforehand Progress This is my progress before uploading this to Stardance. Researched CPU design using Nand2Tetris and Google Planned out CPU using Nand2Tetris style HDL language Built CPU parts according to original specification in Logisim-Evolution Updated CPU part to be more efficient, changed them significantly from the default versions. Built main CPU circuit Tested, debugged, made changes, repeat. P.S. This is very simplified. This took me a month of continues work for hours a day that were not logged unfortunately :( Thanks for reading!!
Fixed a big problem! -and other good news I have spent so long trying to figure out why my CPU stops every time I try to increment my PC (Program Counter) by 1 to go to the next instruction. I finally decided today to sit down and have a full session just trying to fix that. With the help of ChatGPT to learn some Logisim ROM quirks, I was able to figure it out. Turns out I only needed to allow misaligned addresses in ROM settings. Some more good news: The new ALU design is working smoother than expected, I think this will be my first and final redesign of it. The new compiler is ready! It now uses the new instruction set.
Built an emulator! I just finished building a simple emulator for the BOLT-16. The reason I did this was because I needed an easy way for someone to try out the CPU without having to download Logisim. Now all you have to do is write your code in the assembly folder and run emulator.cpp to see the values of the CPU RAM! Next time I plan to build a website that you can test out the CPU with the emulator running in the background.
Some big and small changes I’m just going to list these out: Changed emulator an compiler into two pass systems (first pass reads labels, second pass is normal) and altered them to be able to jump to labels appearing before the jmp command. Replaces swp with sb (store byte), which stores a byte directly to RAM Added a new command clear, which clears the value stored in a register.
Emulator website finished! I’ve just finished with the emulator website. It’s really simple with not much graphical design, but it works well so I’m happy. I had to convert the CPP code into JS using AI because I started and it deleted my progress and it would have taken too much time for a simple but tedious task. You can try it out at the demo link! I’m going to ship now thanks for reading!
One final change I said there wouldn’t be any more devlogs but this is the last one I promise. There was a little problem in my jump logic in the CPU, so I had to tweak the compiler a bit, but that I had to completely rewrite the compiler in the style of the emulator so I could make the changes easily.
Worked on feedback! Thanks for the feedback! I worked on some of it like a thoughtful comment which pointed out a little bug in my label storage and jump code. (I stored labels with $ but looked them up without $ ). This also led me to finding out another bug where my code didn’t actually start at label $start. That was a 5-second fix. I also worked on the README.md after recieving feedback about it. I plan to work on some more feedback later (specifically updating my website UI). I thought it was fine because I have barely any experience with JS/HTML/CSS, but there’s no excuse for bad UI. PS - I also added comment functionality to my Assembly
Updated UI I made the UI look a lot cleaner in my opinion, it could still look better, but this is the best I can do. Write your feedback in the comments!
Added a screen I added a screen component to my project because I wanted a way to see the CPU in action without looking at the vague data memory. I still have to test it and integrate it into my assembly language and compiler.
Added screen and drawing to emulator I added a screen component to the emulator and allowed drawing to it. I also added an example code that draws a rectangle and square. I still have to test it for Logisim, I added it to the compiler but I know something is going to go wrong and I don’t want to debug for hours today.
Finished screen! I finally finsished making the screen compnent. It finally works in logisim now. Turns out the problem was my compiler bc it wasn’t compiling the RGB correctly, there were also a few small issues in the circuit.

liqlaqo-os web-based operating system building with html , css and javascript
Today I made the date and time fully functional in the bottom bar. I am going to build other things too. If you want to know more, don’t forget to like and follow.
I have worked in my welcome window, taskbar, and calculator app(it’s not functional yet)
I have finished working on the first app in my web-based operating system(Liqlaqo-os). As you can see, it is a fully functional calculator. I also polished the style to make it look attractive, and I’m going to build another app for my operating system. If you wanna see more, don’t forget to like and follow. Thanks for reading. GOOD LUCK!
I have worked on my mini Notebook window that actually worked well, but some functionality is still missing. I will try to make it fully functional next time. thank you
Today, I worked on the weather app. It’s fully functional and works only when you’re online. I added an icon for it too, and for now I only added 6 cities. Tomorrow I will add a search bar so everyone can see their city’s weather.
Today, I added a search bar to the weather page so that everyone can see their own city’s weather conditions. Finally, I edited some visual effects and enhanced some color combinations, and I also worked on the welcome screen. As you can see this are all the pages I have been working on
I deployed it. It is now online
Worked on settings functionality. I added wallpaper and made it changeable. Today I added 3 wallpapers. I also made the notebook savable and added settings to clear, load, and save data. Tomorrow I will work on more functionality.
I worked on a notebook file system; now you can save, load, and update what you’ve written, and it has its own password too. created a setting that lets you remove what you don’t want by setting passwords
I started working on my music app. I will add cool features to it later
I finally finished working on the music window. It was hard for me, but I learned so many things through the process
I get rid of repetitive lines by using one function to handle all of them at once
i finally deleted weather app because it starts to lag. i also solved a bug with music app. finally wrote my readme.
I updated the settings with 4 new cool features. You can easily change the font family, app color, font color, and font size.
Ships:
I worked on a web-based operating system. The challenging part was the weather app. I tried so many times before it worked. I am proud of myself because when I started, I didn’t even know how to set up a project through Git, but now I’m confident working with GitHub and git commands
i make web based operating system using html, css and javascript. i have learned so much from it. when i started i couldn’t even use git and github but right now i can handle version control in terminal. there is so many thing that i am pround of, but i remeber saying how is that even possible to make operating system that works online but now i can even teach others how to program complex problems like i did in my notebook functionality and how to style their of user interface as i did in all windows and how to use localstorage to save load and delete their data like i did in settings. but i wanna mention the music app because i put a lot of effort at that app. i made that app in way that if you change the music it will automatically change the background that makes it more interactive and gives satisfaction. if you get lost don’t forget to read my readme. Thank you!...

I benchmarked zWork (desktop ai agent made by me) using zbctl (extension) to test its new browser use abilities. ive used the prompt in the picture below. the model answered all but one correct. the google form used to “benchmark” the model was: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfHyJDMoOuDENsrrTmFsGtoDfe-9RRhlB2SDkKgYQlAAXOvhg/viewform the form included a variety of answer types, including radio and dropdowns. this is by no means a final polished product, but is certainly a good proof of concept. I will continue working on zWork and improve the harness to also improve the models tool calling and accuracy. Thanks guys
updated readme because i needed to
any click that changed DOM used to take about 3s now it takes about 200ms. I also added back the extension GUI because sometimes its confusing without it. also to save tokens from agent context windows, content.js no longer creates a brand new fat snapshot of the entire page.

I made zWork Everything was challenging, mainly harness engineering. The browser feature was relatively straightforward. I’m proud of the extensiveness or comprehensiveness of this project, and the scale at which it worked. To fully test my app, you should probably install the app, as well as the extension. There is a limited web demo at app.tryzwork.app which doesnt really have any features. More info is available in the readmes....

hello!! first day on hackclub, first day of project :) so, i felt like i should make a post just to seal the deal that i’m actually getting off my butt and doing this project… ive thought about it for a whiiile ever since i thought about mechanical keyboards, but never found it in myself to do it. im gonna challenge myself to finish it before oct. 31st is up!! anyway. im in drafting phase, but was able to get a pretty solid idea of how i want this to look and function. this is going to be a keyboard made to be as ergonomic as possible, with a split layout + key staggering + a sort of ‘joint’ idea to match the way our thumb is a little below our hand when resting!! this is such a ramble lol but im very excited!! lets get this bread (also im so sorry, i put this here to give an idea of my design, but ill be honest… looks kind of crazy)
day 2… still getting used to this site lol, apologies if this is jank i just refined the keyboard design and made an actual key layout. i ended up realizing that there is a lot of functionality missing with only the two split modules, but considering that i have quite small hands, i didnt just want to add more keys to them (compromising the ergonomics which is literally why im making this keyboard) so, i added a third separate board onto the design! nothing fancy, not particularly ergonomic, just your standard full-size numpad + arrows + misc. function keys, along with an extra knob because i wanted some knob functionality. the key layout itself looks a little crazy, though i promise i put a lot of thought into it (this entire hour 30 was spent JUST tweaking the key layout…) im going to sleep on it though, and come back to this when i’ve had some time away to think on it and figure out how to make it a little less sporadic; some of the key placement is “ehh” to me. if you have any suggestions on placements, questions, etc. please send a comment or anything :) i would love some suggestions! day 3… yeowch so i decided i was happy with the key layout and things and got to work on the schematic. ummm… let’s say this is the “make it exist before you make it look pretty” phase. i’m a total newbie to kicad so learning how it flows took quite a bit of time, but i do feel much better with it. my major goal for next session is to finalize the schematic design and make it all come together nicely currently, the design would require 4 separate PCBs (not incl. the macropad, which would make it 5 total); connecting the minipcb to the main isn’t an issue for me at the moment, but i’m still debating whether i use a wired or wireless connection between the two boards. i think i’m going to opt for wireless, which introduces power draw as an issue… progress is being made though!! next session i promise promise to bring back a much prettier schematic and (hopefully) be ready to start actually creating the lay out :) my ambition is to have completed the PCB by the end of this week so that i can move on to making the case!

day 5 (i think) i also kept on my promise from yesterday and finished up the schematics for the macropad + fixed some errors in my keyboard schematic and am starting the pcb design… is it bad im now thinking about adding LEDs to it..? and opting for hotswap sockets instead??? ahhhhhhhh i keep thinking in circles about all these different features i want but i also need to be realistic i think. ill sleep on it again til next time picture of the macropad schematic because the keyboard pcb is NOT done rn...
