Devlogs:
Made the high level design (block diagram) of Nexus 55 which is my version of google or alexa smart home system but local
Setup Home Assistant
Finally got to the home assistant main menu
Made a quick mock up of the circuit in wokwi, dont worry mess will be sorted later
programmed some stuff, didnt do a lot cuz i got a big ahh exam tmrw
SOLDERED SOME STUFF
Made a curtian opener and closer thingy, the big metal thing is a motor ink assembly thingy i pulled from an old hp printer and i used relays instead of a l298n or tbh any motor driver bc … i only have the l298n and it is very inneficeint
coded blynk then decided to not use it bc of its limitations
Soldered on some male headers for the rgb led board
cut and epoxied a peice of wood so i can install a relay for AC connections
installed a relay for ac stuff on another wooden block
today was kinda boring, i just got esp rainmaker working, it took 1 hour because the esp32 storage and cache stuff, i had to create my own partition scheme and stuff to get the code to fit on the esp32
messed around with esp rain maker even more, prob will not use it and just continue with arduino iot cloud or smthgn (image not related and not mine, jst a meme )
tried arduino cloud iot, it sucks, so i will prob just make my own esp32 hosted webpage for the controls
cut some wood and added brackets to mount to the wall
made it workkkk
wired up the signal side of the relay #3
Installed node-red and mqtt broker
heatshrinked some wires, didnt have time for anyhthing else lol
Made an interface, with a lot of help from ai, will rebuild this from scratch tomorrow, just made this using ai as a test, and the ui runs completely on ur pc as an html, it works although it is buggy and the sliders do do their jobs properly that much
heatshrinking !
Replaced the relays for motor control with an L298N and made the entire thing run on 12v instead of 5v, sounds a bit more less feasable but it is actually more feasable because if ur using 5v usb , u need a power brick with good ampere ratings, 12v u just need a normal 12v barrel jack thingy...

For the past week I’ve been on and off continuing to develop my shaderpack, “Simply Solid Shaders,” and I’ve recently made 2 hotfixes to fix hand/item and entity lighting in dark situations (and to make the shader not look like you’ve spawned on the fricking sun). But after another few days continuing to refine my shaderpack, I’ve actually got it in a spot where I’m really satisfied with the end result, and I cannot believe how far I’ve come. I took up this project because my Minecraft was stolen 💀, and my friend Shadowtech recommended Hack Craft for a chance to take up mod or shader development with the chance I get Minecraft back, and I’m so grateful that I’ve taken these two weeks off from my music career to do something I’ve always wanted to do. And best of all, my genuine heroes at Modrinth have accepted Simply Solid Shaders and it’s available to the public :D (in fact here’s the link for the shaderpack if you guys are interested :3 { https://modrinth.com/shader/simply-solid-shaders }). I’ll play with this shader on for the rest of my life playing Minecraft (for some simply solid reasons this is a joke 😖) and make new features whenever I get the time, but I wanted to say that I’m really grateful for this opportunity, and I want to tell you guys that making your ideas a reality is a great idea!! Thank you all!! 🖤✨🖤✨"}, {"post_id": 29707, "ts": "2026-07-16T19:55:24Z", "hours": 1.6547, "text": "Today I have finished my new shader, Simply Solid Shaders!"}, {"post_id": 29107, "ts": "2026-07-15T19:27:31Z", "hours": 0.6197, "text": "It’s going quite well with the shader! My purpose for this shader is to just be like “plug and play”, and just like perform well, geared towards people who just want something that works and looks better than vanilla, and for that reason I have decided to not add shadows. I do want to add fog and better clouds though, and to make entities not transparent? I don’t know why this is happening…"}, {"post_id": 29059, "ts": "2026-07-15T18:28:11Z", "hours": 0.9261, "text": "I’m learning the basics of how gbuffers, composites, and like stuff interact… (I’m not very good yet 😅). Since yesterday I’ve changed my approach to shader development from trying to follow the Iris documentation to using the official Hack Club Lumen guide, but I’ve encountered a lot of issues with gradle and my Java paths. I booted into Windows coming from a solid 2 months of Linux because Mesa drivers compile shaders differently, so I couldn’t really follow tutorials, and I’ve realized how much Windows it actually is.. This is what I’m troubleshooting now :’3 It’s been only less than 5 minutes since I posted this, but I genuinely think switching this project to linux is a far better idea than whatever I’m doing now. So yeah.
I’m learning the basics of how gbuffers, composites, and like stuff interact… (I’m not very good yet 😅). However I believe I know how to work with uniforms, so that’s good :3.
It’s going quite well with the shader! My purpose for this shader is to just be like “plug and play”, and just like perform well, geared towards people who just want something that works and looks better than vanilla, and for that reason I have decided to not add shadows. I do want to add fog and better clouds though, and to make entities not transparent? I don’t know why this is happening…
Today I have finished my new shader, Simply Solid Shaders!
Hey everyone! 🖤✨🖤✨...

Yes, this is going to be the list of lobbies users will join. And yes, I wanted the list to update by itself instead of the user spamming a “refresh” button. One of the decisions I had to ponder during my procrastination time was whether to resend the whole lobby list to the client or just the little changes whenever something happens. My buddy Claude advised me to resend everything every time because a desync can occur if a client happens to miss a message.
