But when I started looking, it took me a while to find something good, yet I still wanted more. Everywhere on the internet where you want a simple kanban board to use with your friends to manage the project, you need to pay, go through some complex set up like setting up SMTP a ton of databases and everything. I’m gonna try to keep this as simple, but yet modern. I want to make a simple kanban board, where you don’t need your email to be verified, I won’t even add it to reduce bloat. I just want to make something simple developers would use and not spend hours just trying to set it up."}]...

I tried improving the sidebar and adding some stuff for the page… Didn’t work that well and I realized maybe web development isn’t for me and I should try something more close to me....

The app includes: Random quote generation Quote categories Favorite quotes with Local Storage One-click quote copying Custom toast notifications Responsive design for desktop, tablet, and mobile A clean dark-themed interface An About page explaining the project The project was built from scratch using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, then deployed using GitHub Pages. The biggest challenge was turning a simple idea into a complete application with multiple connected features. Some of the hardest parts were: Learning how to structure a multi-page website Making JavaScript interact correctly with different HTML pages Building a favorites system using Local Storage Creating dynamic category pages Making the design responsive across different screen sizes Debugging issues after deployment One memorable challenge happened after deploying the project. Some features appeared to be broken, including notifications and styling changes. After investigating, I discovered that my browser was loading cached versions of old files. A hard refresh fixed the issue, but it taught me an important lesson about testing the actual deployed version of a project. I am most proud of taking Quotify from a simple concept into a finished, usable application. Throughout development, I improved my skills in: Writing cleaner JavaScript Manipulating the DOM Managing user data with Local Storage Creating modern CSS layouts Building responsive interfaces Debugging real-world problems Deploying and maintaining a live project I am especially proud of the final design because I focused on making it feel like a real product rather than just a school project. The dark minimalist interface, animations, custom favicon, and smooth interactions helped bring the idea together. To test Quotify: Open the live demo: https://nyvrixista.github.io/Quotify/ Try generating new quotes using the New Quote button. Save quotes by pressing the ❤️ Save button. Visit the Favorites page to view your saved quotes. Explore different quote categories (currently only one). Try the project on both desktop and mobile devices to experience the responsive design. So i finished writing the HTML, CSS and the JavaScript file, its a working website, but i need to make more pages for the navigation bar i just implemented, and also more functions. Stay Tuned!
So after 1 hour, i added the categories page and filtered the motivation quotes, next i will add more quotes and more categories. Later!
Added a favorites feature, still in progress!
I finished working on the favorites feature, now next will be Toast Notiications…. Stay Tuned!
Finished adding the Toast Notifications, they will appear in the bottom-right corner of the screen when copying the quote, saving it or removing it from the home page. Now i will go make the about page… We are almost finished guys!
I polished the website and made sure its responsive on mobile.
Alr, i just finished reworking the CSS, made the website look like an old book (not really, just the color palletes), now I need to add a cool feature, the problem is that idk what can be a god feature in a quote app, im still thinking about this tho.
Added more quotes to my quotes.js file
So i added a feature that could make my website feel like a game…. Its rarities!!! So basically i will remove the idea of it being a generic quote site and turn it into a game where you collect quotes, im still working on the collection part, im so excited to finish this project!
Ok, during this time i added Collections, a place where you collect all the quotes in a safe place. Second feature i added are Achievements, crucial to a game like this. Removed Copy, Save, Categories and Favorites page, as it was useless to me. More info in Ship…

Just started working on the Hackpad mission. So far, I only have built the guide version of the PCB, no case, no code. I have had troubles with drawing the lines, or at least I think so because the blue lines for me were touching the blue circles, but not in the image provided in the guide, but I don’t think it’s an issue. And drawing the rectangle in edge.cuts, I don’t even know if that part is properly done. tomorrow I will be checking if everything’s correct, then build a custom version of the PCB (haven’t decided what to add yet) and hopefully build the case as well.
Somehow it took me a while to figure out how to round up the edges of the pcb to give it a cleaner look. After figuring out how to do it i found out it was actually pretty simple, takes a few seconds max.
I have little to no idea what im doing. Finished building the schematic, added led lights, learned what “vcc” means. Started building the pcb but the wiring is very unstructured. ran the drc and have 37 errors because i think that theres no clearance for the leds so i have to fix that tomrorow but besides that everything should be fine
just troubleshooted today and realized the errors i was getting in drc about leds dont need to be fixed. prob gonna start building the case tomorrow
still havent started building the case, yesterday i realized the switches and diodes and leds werent exactly lined up so i fixed it using chatgpt because i couldnt quite understand the grid system and how to use the features of the grid. just asked chatgpt to provide the x and y coordinates
I have finally finished the case and the pcb, but unfortunately had to use AI to build the case for positions/coordinates of some stuff and with screws because fusion360 is really confusing and i recorded basically 1 hour 30 minutes of me making no progress with building a case because i couldnt figure out controls and google wasnt really helpful, plus im not really sure the exact rules of what is allowed for me to record using lapse or not so i kept pausing every few minutes. i did learn a lot about building using AI. I am now moving onto the firmware
Finished making the firmware, the github repo and everything needed to ship the project....

Added an interactive moving particle effect to the background and integrated a search engine directly into the interface. It brings a whole new level of polish and utility to the dashboard! Check it out live on WebTab
Built new shortcut controls and a live clock widget into the interface. I’ve also deployed the latest build using GitHub Pages, so feel free to test it out live at WebTab
Placed a settings button in the top-right corner (12px offset) that toggles between 3 different background images on click. I also added the live site link to the README so anyone can check out the update.
Added dynamic background images using the Unsplash API in JavaScript to give the UI a fresh look. The background now updates automatically on every page reload, or manually whenever you click the settings icon. It’s a small touch that makes the app feel much more alive!
Refactored the project structure by moving CSS and JS out of the HTML file, and included a polite voter notification asking users to support me as a beginner developer.

😭 I should’ve paid mor attention in CS class I got a broken sql server which took GODDAM 2 WHOLE CS HOURS!!!! HOW IS IT SO HARD TO SET THIS UP NOT TO MENTION I HAVE TO CREATE AN ENTIRE PROJECT ON IT
created the flow chart of the project on notebook I forgot to turn on the lapse until i was almost done with it most of the part was missed and this thing is so ragebaiting. “YOU HAVE TO MAKE A FLOW CHART EXPLAINING EACH AND EVERY THING INCLUDING ALL THE FUNCTIONS” 🙄🙄
created flowchart part 1 Created the actual digital version of the flowchart i sketched out in app.diagrams.net well half of it till now rest of the work is going to have to wait for timorrow……. Phew school stuff is hard work 🥹🥹
done!!! finally finished manually making the whole flowchart and getting it to fit on a pdf. the hard part was how branched it gets even for projects like these which are dirst simple…. I dont want to have to make a flowchart for my college projects in the futture 😭
I ran into a mapping problem the original structure i decided to use had complicated mapping and i ended up entangled in it. so i went back dropped all the tables and rewrote the structure scratch up so now it is a linear mapping rather than many to one mapping
added 3 funcitons now moving on to make the main execution loop but i keep running into some logical error. the loop just shuts down automatically
created a file where you can run to initialise You can run this file to like initialise all the required stuff like database and tbales……
there was a mapping bug again made the changes to the chp table so as to include which all users can access which subjects
done and ready to shipppp i am finally done with this!!! phew and it is ready to ship although few features are left
made the requested changes to the ship and created a binary executable
Ships:
This is my Computer Science IP Project !! the problem statement: CREATE A MENU DRIVEN PYTHON PROGRAM AND USE A BACKEND LIKE SQL TO STORE THE INFORMATION. not all the features have been implemented and are kept for future versions Here, I will be using the terminal itself to run the code and not go for any UI creation as it makes the project a lot simpler and makes me confident that i can answer any viva questions that come my way.
