devlog#2 – version and installed state i just added the versions to detection so we can start working on PyPi compatibility checks
devlog #3 – we’re actually checking compatibility now CompatPy is starting to become an actual compatibility checker it can now scan a project, find its dependencies, look them up on PyPI , select the mathing package release, check its python requirements and then calculate which python versions work for the dependencies so instead of just pasting package versions and quitting it now actually pastes the compatible python versions over all packages like shown in the screenshot even though im on track there’s still plenty to build before this becomes a proper finished tool, but the core compatibility pipeline is now working

Final Devlog before first ship To end the first part of this coding journey I had to “find 10,000 ways that won’t work”. In other words, I to start over and over to make that one block javaScript code to run as I wanted. Now you can change the theme of the landing page by clicking on the swoosh (Try it out. EXHAUSTING This is the word that resumes this 4 hours coding session I had. So, what was that exhausting ? That is the interesting part. I did all the time trying to: Building a javaScript to change the theme of the landing page. It is important for me, but I had to read dozen of documented pages T-T I also added the number of posts in the feed. We on go I remember when I put the last word for Jordan section. During these hours, I added more items to the feed to make it more consistent and compelling to scroll through. I think what took me so long, is to search the text that I think that fits best the shoe and the colors that match the main theme. The first thing the user sees decides if they stay on the site, or leave! I entered my website, and I did not want to continue exploring it. Just from the landing page. The results will reflect the dedication and work done on a task I am finally shipping my project for the second time under vote pool after more than +15 hours of constant improvement. I based this new Nike website on the feedbacks I read over and over to understand the reviewers point of view, the other great websites here in stardance and my own introspection. I won’t say much as today was entirely dedicated to debugging the code and correcting UI. Thanks to all those who helped found the spelling errors and those who followed the progression of my work up to this stage. I had a 5.50x last ship, so I am expecting much more. Keep up and Aspire greatness!
Ships:
Hello guys, I made a website to presents Nike’s products. The websites does feature only shoes for now, and is made of 3 active pages (the landing, the shoe section and the collaborations) The greatest challenge was the CSS. Having this done when I had still very little experience with CSS was difficult. But the most difficult to do was surely the animation with the javaScript code block. I literally had to ask advice from 15+ peers to get it ready for ship. Nevertheless, that is also one my top fulfilling achievements. I am also proud of how the colors change with the product displayed. Oh, I almost forgot! Click on the small swoosh in the nav bar to go back to landing page, and on the big one to change theme.
To the previous ship, I added more posts to the feed to make it more compelling to scroll through and a JS animation to change the theme of the landing page. I added two sections to the shoe page: In the first, you can see the releases from Converse, as it is a subbranch of Nike. The second concerns the releases from the Air Jordan line. Writing the code for the animation was very complex, as I had to go and learn back some concepts. That is why that index.html took me so much time. Just for a single animation T~T. Moreover, the diversity with the converse and Jordan makes it more satisfying. Something I advise when testing, click the swoosh on the landing page.
I corrected all the errors from the first ship in voting pool, to make it more polished again and have a much more better UI. The most challenging part was to go and learn some concepts that I used here especially JS. It was tedious, an as school started again it did not help. To test the project you just have to click on the Try project link. For those on mobile devices, I advise you to set your browser to desktop mode and turn it landscape for maximal experience I’m very proud of the UI and to see how far I went with this project is so fulfilling....
