Everything below runs at retrace-osu.vercel.app now. Recap of the whole thing: The replay engine: The core of the site. You drop a .osr and it gets decoded entirely in your browser, the beatmap is auto-fetched by its hash, and then a reconstruction engine re-judges the whole play from the raw cursor and key data: every circle, slider follow-circle and spinner spin. It handles note stacking, stable’s notelock behavior, and mod clock rates properly, and the reconstructed judgements come out within a hit or two of the real scoreboard numbers. From that you get UR, timing bias, early/late split, per-section breakdown, and pattern splits (jumps, streams, bursts, spaced control) that know the difference between a 180bpm stream and that same stream with DT on. The autopsy tools: A replay viewer with the actual slider paths, approach circles, miss markers and cursor trail, that now works like a proper video editor: quarter speed, frame stepping, keyboard shortcuts, and clickable miss timestamps that jump you to two seconds before each choke. You can even load a second replay of the same map as a green ghost cursor and watch where your lines diverge. There’s a playfield miss map, a hands panel that tells you your k1/k2 split, whether you single-tap or alternate and at what bpm you give in and switch, and whether you snap or flow aim, all measured from the frames. The coach: Every analysis ends with strengths, leaks and practice drills derived from the measurements, plus an AI review that gets fed only measured facts (mod-adjusted stars, real clock rate, strain curve) so it can’t hallucinate numbers. My favorite part is the difficulty overlay: it draws the map’s strain curve behind your per-section UR, so it can tell you whether you fall apart at the hard parts (skill wall) or the easy parts (focus problem). Those need completely different fixes and no other tool makes the distinction. Farm maps: Sign in and it profiles your top 100: your real mod combos with each one’s median accuracy, your comfort star band, and your aim/speed lean measured with rosu-pp. Then it prices candidate maps under your actual mods at your actual accuracy and, this is the important bit, ranks them by the real gain to your weighted total, not the raw pp fantasy. A “400pp play” that nets you 0.6pp gets buried. There’s also a chokes tab that finds plays in your bests worth fixing, and a ceiling number showing your total if you cleaned all of them. Informatics: Type any username: mod-combination picker over their top 100 (exact combos, HD means HD only), pp milestones, 90-day rank graph, and trivia like their oldest surviving play, their most farmed mapper, their grade split and how much of their profile one play carries. Countries get a top-50 deep scan: hidden prodigies by pp per hour, the “national anthem” (the map half the country has in their bests), the oldest relic score still standing, the closest rivalry (Pakistan has two players literally 0pp apart), scene depth, farm diversity. Plus a side-by-side player compare page. History: Every analyzed replay saves to your browser, nothing uploaded. Bulk-drop your whole Replays folder and it aggregates: which weaknesses recur across your plays, your UR trend, and per-map progress when you’ve analyzed the same map more than once. Everything else: osu!-style UI with the triangles, 30-day sessions with token refresh, PNG share cards, link embeds, installable as an app, and a disk cache so the osu! For this game jam game where you can control an evil robot. I have worked on the layout of the tutorial level and level 1. I will work on levels 2 and 3. Then I will make the player, robot, and goal sprite. While also making an end screen For the tiles I am using the “world of Solaria” Free demo Pack by Jamie Brownhill.
I have completed the game. In this video the robot is close to the goal, to show a sped up version of what the full game looks like. In the actually game I have spaced out the two robots farther from each other. Theme: Control Limitation: You are the enemy

I sat down intending to polish a few things, and somehow ended up redesigning almost the entire site. The biggest problem before was that the website only really worked on a desktop. The hidden corners relied on hover, the layout wasn’t great on smaller screens, and outside of the terminal there wasn’t much personality. So I decided to fix all of it at once. The first thing was making the site actually workk everywhere. Everything is now properly responsive. At different breakpoints the layout reorganizes itself, grids collapse cleanly, fonts scale down, navigation wraps when it needs to, and nothing feels crammed anymore. The stats cards that looked nice in a single row on desktop now become two columns on tablets and a single column on phones. Speaking of phones…Those hidden corners used to be impossible to discover because, well, you can’t hover on a touchscreen. They now respond to taps instead. Tap a corner and the panel slides in. Tap somewhere else and it disappears. If you forget it’s open, it’ll quietly hide itself after a few seconds. Then I got carried away. The site now has a full-screen terminal. Press Ctrl + backtick anywhere and an entire terminal drops down from the top. It has command history, autocomplete, blinking cursors, fake networking commands, ASCII art, a virtual file system, and over 25 commands to mess around with. You can run things like:helpwhoamiprojectsskillsbannerneofetchfortunematrixcowsaypingcurlthemegithub…and a bunch more. It doesn’t really need to exist. Which is exactly why I built it. To make sure people actually find it, first-time visitors now get a small toast telling them how to open it. On desktop it’s Press Ctrl + backtick, while on mobile it points them to the terminal button instead ..And yes…If you’re on a phone, you can literally shake the device to open the terminal. Probably the most unnecessary feature on the website. Probably my favourite one too. While I was already breaking everything apart, I figured the site deserved a proper redesign instead of being one long page with a hero section. Every section now has its own identity. The About section cuts diagonally across the page. The hobbies, stats, projects and blog sections all use irregular clip-path shapes so almost nothing is a perfect rectangle anymore. On desktop it gives the site a much more distinctive look, and on mobile everything gracefully falls back to rounded cards instead of weird geometry.I also finally committed to the SudoTADS branding.Everything now comes from one set of CSS variables: black backgrounds, white text and the neon green accent. Impact handles the big headings while JetBrains Mono is used everywhere else, especially inside the terminal. One source of truth, which makes changing the theme later ridiculously easy. The biggest visual upgrade though was animation.I added GSAP.Instead of jumping into Three.js, I realised GSAP gave me almost everything I actually wanted with a fraction of the overhead. The hero now has animated SVG blobs floating behind the content, another blob continuously morphs inside the About section, cards reveal themselves as you scroll, the stats scale into view, and the header subtly shrinks once you’ve scrolled past it.No frameworks. No build tools.Just HTML, CSS, JavaScript and some CDN links. The website finally feels like it has story as you scroll instead of feeling like a landing page. There’s still a lot I want to build. The terminal has plenty of room for more commands, the fake file system could become much deeper, and eventually the Blog section will link to real devlogs instead of placeholders. For now though…It finally feels like a website that’s unmistakably mine."}, {"post_id": 27985, "ts": "2026-07-13T23:03:50Z", "hours": 1.7981, "text": "#Devlog #2 & #3: It Finally Looks Like a Website (with some eggs) Yesterday, I had three files and a button. The goal of the video was to showcase the project to the world, and giving it a bit more visibility, even though I honestly just wanted to do it for fun ngl :) Btw they are a few references throughout the video. So I’ll have to compress it heavily which will affect the video quality."}, {"post_id": 46828, "ts": "2026-08-14T10:59:01Z", "hours": 3.3008, "text": "Okay sorry for the delay, I had some issues with lapse as it seemed to have somewhat disconnected from my hackatime so it wouldn’t let me select a project to link the lapses to. But I just found out I can just type the name of this project, and even though it says it will create a new folder for that project, it still links to the actual Kursal file. But anyway, enough with that, I started reworking the audio for the 1st scene of the video, this time using royalty free music and sound effect (sadly we had to replace the nintendo switch sound effect to avoid any possible lawsuit lol) and of course all of the artists will be credited at the end of the video. At first I tried using curves and array modifiers to make the laptops move along a bezier curve but sadly because of the way the Macbook’s 3d model has been made, that was pretty hard and even then it was too hard to coordinate its movement with the Kursal screens they were suppose to show, so I had to scrap that idea. Instead, I just duplicated them over 5 layers twice and extended them on the side while the camera zoomed out. Now you might think the camera movement is a bit weird and stuff but don’t worry we’ve got an idea in mind with sound effects, nw. Finally this is just half of the work, as those were only the Dark mode color palets, so I’ll have to do the same with white mode and somehow make a cool animation with a switch that goes from night no day ,or the opposite I don’t really know yet but I remember having seen a tutorial for that in my youtube recommendations a while ago so we’ll see."}, {"post_id": 40414, "ts": "2026-08-03T21:56:11Z", "hours": 4.6669, "text": "fixed the camera movement for that last part and added a few things to make the scene look less empty. For some reason it doesn’t want to see the laptop as a single object made up of different pieces, but rather a random arrangement of stuff which cannot move together as one, so rotating it means that half of the components will spin in one direction while the second half will spin in the other. Furthermore for some reason some parts have a habit of straight up vanishing towards outer space, which really doesn’t help with the process. But anyway I still manage to animate the first 3 seconds as I envisioned and the rest is, well… to optimize in the future… But one good news at least is that we’re getting very close to the end. Oh actually no I forgot we still have video editing and sound design to do after that."}, {"post_id": 38339, "ts": "2026-07-31T17:47:50Z", "hours": 5.9503, "text": "Just finished animating a transition between part 2 and part 3, got to play with blender’s geometry nodes a bit but I did need a quick tutorial for that last part ngl"}, {"post_id": 37749, "ts": "2026-07-30T17:40:01Z", "hours": 5.3486, "text": "After some thinking I finally figured out what I’m going to do next, hopefully what will be the last part of the video. Sketched out the Kursal introduction video script (kinda) and animated the v1 of the first part using Blender 2D animation tool, even though it’s supposed to be used by 2D artists to animate their drawings, but somehow it still works quite well so whatever ig.
Started doing some stuff in Da Vinci Resolve like adding Texts and sounds, has a few Fusion issues to fix which was a nightmare but for now I have a proof of concept if you will, it’s nowhere near clean enough rn but it’s like a draft.
Because of my sheer incompetence in using Da Vinci Resolve, I decided I might be better off sticking with Blender, so I remade that last part in 3d, no sounds yet, but at least that took like half the time I needed to do the same in da vinci resolve. Gotta say, I’m still not happy with how it turned out rn, but I’ll fix it later nw.
Rendered all actual scenes I made in Blender together, and put some sound effects in (a bit randomly ngl) using Da Vinci Resolve (if my dumb ahh can’t do video editiong at least I can try sound design… I think). On that point there are some adjustments to make on the sound effects as we do NOT wish to get a cease and desist from Nintendo before the project even gets published in the first place…
Finally after 6 hours of rendering, we’ve got it. Yeah we brainstormed a bit more and finally found ideas for what we would do next in the video, so we’re doing a demo of 2 instances connecting to each other. Not finished tho, we still need them actually making contact and sending messages, and sound editing it all together, and then scene 2 will be finished.
daaaaamn that was atrocious but here’s the chatting demo section finally fully animated (for now at least…). Special thanks to that indian guy on youtube for the text’s typewriting animation tutorial lmao. Oh btw sorry but I was too lazy to render a proper gooq quality video this is 720p using low render setting, and I just noticed I forgot to get rid of the bar at the beginning but eh whatever who here cares anyway…
just spent two and a half hours trying to make a single object glowy because every tutorial out there was outdated or made everything glowy even the 2 windows. Why is Blender so complicated I swear.
probably gonna stop here for today so here’s the latest result, good enough for me but probably need a few tweaks either way.
Finally done with the decentralized network animation, which might be the hardest part in the whole introduction video. The connections are a bit weird since a majority of those animations play at the exact same time at the end but I just have to move the keyframes accordingly to what I want so I guess that’s an easy fix no worries.
After some thinking I finally figured out what I’m going to do next, hopefully what will be the last part of the video. For now I replaced the chat instances with actual ones and not just exact copies, and animated the central server to die out once everyone connects together through a decentralized network.
Just finished animating a transition between part 2 and part 3, got to play with blender’s geometry nodes a bit but I did need a quick tutorial for that last part ngl
I hate Blender, I just spent 8 hours straight without break fixing shit Blender messed up, and it’s still not done yet. Oh actually no I forgot we still have video editing and sound design to do after that.
Okay so I remade that last part to get rid of some of some of the animations glitches, it might not be as nice as I envisioned but it is definitely cleaner than my first attempt. Though I think I might have a few tweaks to do concerning the animation’s speed. But that’s it for now.
fixed the camera movement for that last part and added a few things to make the scene look less empty. And I re-rendered previous scenes to put them all together in order to get an idea of what the whole things looked like. I had to fix some minor stuff like transitions and glitched animations. However I noticed that the last part is way too fast and you can’t read the text so I’ll have to fix that next.
Managed to show off Kursal’s many color themes. Finally this is just half of the work, as those were only the Dark mode color palets, so I’ll have to do the same with white mode and somehow make a cool animation with a switch that goes from night no day ,or the opposite I don’t really know yet but I remember having seen a tutorial for that in my youtube recommendations a while ago so we’ll see.
ok so about that tutorial, well it turned out to be for after effects, not blender, so that sucks. But anyway, I still tried doing it myself, it doesn’t look as good but it’s fine. Don’t worry about the timings, that part was kinda rushed ngl, this is just a proof of concept after all.
I fixed that last part and started animating the final scene of the whole video, there isn’t much to say about it as there also isn’t much to show, but I will have to include the credits after that, once the video is completely done, including the sound design and everything. Btw I still need to make a proper transition between this and the previous shot, but I’ll do that tomorrow I think.
FINALLY !!! The animation is done, I just finished linking the last two parts with a clean animation and now we just have to render everything and edit it in adobe or Da Vinci with some sound effects and everything and that’s it. Well that makes it seem like it’ll be a fast and easy process but I’m pretty sure it’d be the complete opposite idk why…
Okay sorry for the delay, I had some issues with lapse as it seemed to have somewhat disconnected from my hackatime so it wouldn’t let me select a project to link the lapses to. Now I just have to find out what to do for the next scene…
Well I realized that Stardance doesn’t allow for soundtracks so the video stays muted and you can’t hear the sound effects and everything, which kinda sucks. But anyway I finished the project, the sound editing and added the credit scene at the end for all the sound effects, the musics, the Macbook 3d model and the SVG icons. However the video is 200 MB so that won’t fit in a github description… nor in here. So I’ll have to compress it heavily which will affect the video quality.
Ships:
Hey, I made an introduction video for my friend’s project Kursal, a decentralized messaging app with end-to-end post-quantum encryption. 100% of the visuals were made by myself in Blender, and the sound editing in DaVinci Resolve. No AI were used in the making process of this video. The goal of the video was to showcase the project to the world, and giving it a bit more visibility, even though I honestly just wanted to do it for fun ngl :) Btw they are a few references throughout the video. For exemple the first scene was directly inspired by the movie Tron Legacy’s intro lmao....

In this mission, I added three new major features: IceDock , a bottom dock for quickly opening apps; a Settings app for changing the visual mode and ambient effects; and a Command Palette with Ctrl + K to search and launch apps faster. The most challenging part was making these new features feel connected to the rest of the OS instead of just being extra buttons on the screen. I had to organize the app list better, connect multiple components to the same open-window logic, manage visual customization through state, and make sure the dock, command palette, settings app, windows, and desktop icons all worked together smoothly. I am proud that ManentiOS now feels much more like a real operating system. The IceDock makes app navigation easier, the Settings app adds personalization, and the Command Palette makes the experience feel more advanced and polished. I am also proud of the winter-tech identity of the project, with cold colors, rain/snow effects, glass-style windows, and a calm futuristic atmosphere. To test the project, open the live demo and enter ManentiOS from the login screen. You can open apps from the desktop icons or from the IceDock, use Ctrl + K to open the Command Palette and search for apps, and open the Settings app to switch between visual modes and ambient effects like snow, rain, or none. Devlogs:
Today I started working on ManentiOS, my personal web operating system. I chose the main theme, created a futuristic project banner, and wrote a short description for the project. I also built the first onboarding screen using React, JSX, and TailwindCSS. Then, I organized the code into reusable components like FeatureCard, ActionButton, and Onboarding. So far, the project has a clear identity, a visual style, and the beginning of a clean, componentized interface. My next step is to build the main desktop screen and add interactive apps.
Since the last dev log, I continued working on ManentiOS by defining a stronger visual direction for the project: a winter-inspired interface with forests, rain, landscapes, and a subtle technological touch. I also moved on to the second part of the WebOS tutorial and adapted the concepts from HTML, CSS, and JavaScript into my current React + JSX + TailwindCSS structure. Instead of using plain HTML and inline styles, I planned the desktop as reusable components. I created the idea for the main desktop screen, including a background wallpaper, a glass-style welcome window, a top bar, and a live clock using React state and effects. This keeps the project aligned with the tutorial while making the code cleaner and more scalable.
Since the last dev log, I continued developing ManentiOS by following the next WebOS tutorial step and adapting it to my React + TailwindCSS structure. The goal was to make the desktop window feel more like a real operating system window. I created a reusable OSWindow component with support for dragging, closing, and reopening windows. I also updated the desktop so the welcome window can be opened again from the top bar by clicking on ManentiOS. Instead of using plain JavaScript with querySelector, I used React state, props, refs, and pointer events to keep the logic more organized and component-based.
Since the last dev log, I created the first real app for ManentiOS: FrostLog, a winter-tech journal app with selectable entries, a desktop icon, and its own draggable window. This followed the tutorial step focused on adding the first app to the WebOS. I also improved the desktop behavior by fixing the z-index system, so app windows now appear in front of desktop icons while the top bar stays above everything. ManentiOS now feels more like a real WebOS, with icons, apps, draggable windows, and better window layering.
Since the last dev log, I completed the final WebOS tutorial step by building more advanced apps for ManentiOS. This stage was more open-ended, so I decided to create two useful apps: a Calculator and a Projects portfolio app. I added new desktop icons, connected them to draggable app windows, and improved the window system to support multiple apps more easily. The Calculator now performs basic operations, while the Projects app showcases my work inside the OS.
Since the last dev log, I improved the first screen of ManentiOS by turning it into a login-style onboarding page inspired by Windows, but with the winter-tech visual identity of the project. Now ManentiOS has a stronger first impression, a more useful portfolio section, and feels much more like a complete personal WebOS.
For this new mission, I added three major updates to ManentiOS to make it feel more complete as a web operating system. First, I created IceDock , a bottom dock that lets users quickly open apps and see which apps are currently active. Then, I added a Settings app, where users can customize the visual mode and switch ambient effects like snow, rain, or no effect. I also implemented a Command Palette with Ctrl + K , allowing users to search and open apps quickly from anywhere on the desktop. These updates made ManentiOS feel more like a real OS, with better navigation, customization, and a more polished winter-tech experience.

For this project, I made ManentiOS , a personal web operating system that runs directly in the browser.
