Devlogs:
DEVLOG#1 First time working with JSON and Tkinter till now i have coded the frontend of the app to some extent and hope to start working on the backend soon. This was also my first time using JSON, I used it to make kind of like a database which store previous complains and uses this stored data to develop a combined report of similar issues. Lovely experience, but not going to lie Gemini helped me out a lot to spot my mistakes in like every 20-25 lines and it turned out to be somewhat a pain but I hope that JSON and Tkinter will help me developing future projects.
DEVLOG#2 So today was a mess because I had to go around fighting teachers in my school just so I could have my OWN LAPTOP, a big pain in the *ss but all of that stuff aside. Today’s progress was decent i worked on the GUI alot messed around with Tkinter diferrent sizes and style and I also added a admin tab to the website which is still in progress because I ran into numerous errors and I am still pinpointing my mistakes. Along with the admin tab I added a login interface type of thig and that turned out to be a task because again MY FIRST TIME designing an OAUTH. Hope to improve the GUI a lotttttt!!!!!!! but i am satisfied with what i have right now. till we meet againnnnnn……….
DEVLOG#3 Absolutely Legendary progress, almost done with the final GUI looks awesome. I also worked on major backend code addes passwords and login statements for both students and admins and i also ensured that one person cannot upvote on an issue more than once. I also added guest mode. Tomorrow will include making loads of changes and making the GUI better!
DEVLOG#4 so today included touching up and finessing because i forgot to add features, i also added a change password function messed around with customtkinter but failed miserably hope to do some absolute legendary progress tomorrow.
DEVLOG#5 So I basically worked on adding a function to chage the status of a problem, something only admins can access. Liittle did I know I would mess up half of the code smhw, even Chatgpt wasn’t helping but after fixing some of the stupidest mistakes I got the code running, but yes there are still some problemss…
DEVLOG #6 SO today consisted of me correcting my stupid mistakes again…. But this time I actually fixed everything and I also added a show more, show less option/button because too much text was ending up pushing the upvote button off the screen, making it IMPOSSIBLE to upvote. I also add a feature that lets the users sort and classify the problems so its easier to manage rather than having like 20+ problems on your page and having to read through ALL of themm.. Along with that I even took the concept of taking urgency as input out of the equation as I didn’t want people to be writing “The urgency is 9999 bro trust me”; to deal with such larpers I added basic yet effective limiters…
DEVOG#7 This took way more time than it should have, so when i ran the program today I realized that the filter function wasn’t working properly and to fix i ended up removing the show show less option which i got working after loads of struggles due to some of the STUPIDEST mistakes…
DEVLOG #8 So today I gave the same functions i gave to student view yesterday to admin view but better I added a priority calculator, a show more show less thing from yesterday and the filter thingy
DEVLOG#8 Today I fixed ALL of the mistakes like when u get the admin passowrd wrong whilst changing the status of a Issue report shitt was working great i hope to ship this before the 10th buutttttttttttttt….. Life isn’t so easy, I wanted to UPGRADE the GUI one last time to make it look like a decent application and I am still in the middle of that but i will definitely update u according to my progress. Here my inspiration ( not where i am rn ) I am aiming for smthing like this for my app
DEVLOG#9 So today I finished the new gui design it isn’t as good and as clean as my refernce but I am still happ with it i even added the code from where the gui redesign started. by the way i had to change this exact code numerous timessssss. This devlog includes the most time i spent vibe coding , and regretted………….. So i hope to add 2-3 more features like allowing admins to change the password(maybe) and I hope to ship this project by day after tommorow :)
DEVLOG #9 idk SO i added so may features and it was such a pain in the ass to retain feature when adding new ones i kept messing up here and there and even forgot to call the simplest of functions. But now i’m here and this is what I added: Different types of admin (headmaster, housemaster senior master etc.) feature to chose who u want to submit the report too feature to forward the issue (as an admin) - if the particular admin finds its not for him logging in if ur in guest mode and logging out if ur in student mode my reports and all reports button added a view issue button which lets u view the full issue instead of the dot expanding thing i had before lastly the stupidest but most needed asterisk while entering passwords.
Ships:
I made a python desktop app for student feedback, issue and complain management. The main idea was to provide students with one core place to report problems. Students use their roll number for logins, they can upvote issues to show its urgency, they can change their own password. There is also a separate admin dashboard with issues organised cleanly according to priority. I am proud of using Custom Tkinter for the first time but not proud of having 1200 lines of code in one file! I hope u find this project worthy and fun to use!...

It tracks human movement through a camera and turns raw gait/walking data into clinically-styled metric based reports. It has three core modules: 1.live gait tracking and logging: This module lets you track your gait data and you have an option to save this data into a csv which then you can upload to the third module to get a pdf report with graphical demonstration aswell. the response in the pdf depends on your gait data. 2.Live posture tracking: this module calculates your posture alignment and according to that it tells you if your posture is balanced or imbalanced. Sounds simple but is a huge factor for good posture! 3.pdf report of your gait data This module takes your csv data of your walking, ensures if the metrics are normal or abnormal and then depending on your input gives an appropriate clinically-styled metric based reports. The pdf also gives you advice depending on wether your walking is good or bad. Known limitations: -Posture tracking has a noticeable delay (around 3 seconds) between movement and status update which is a target for future optimizations. -Gait metrics which are recorded live still need a multi step detection algorithm to make the system have depth awareness of the person its tracking to have an accurate metric report. How to run it this project and test it locally: Prerequisites Node.js (v18+ recommended)-> includes npm: download here Python 3 (latest) : download here pip packages: numpy, pandas, matplotlib, fpdf VS Code (recommended, not required) download all the files as a zip (or clone it),unpack it and then install all the requirements for the libraries, check if you have npm installed and then type “npm start” in the project terminal, click the localhost link and youre good to go!", "repo": "https://github.com/itsyaboiyxs/NeuroStratum", "demo": "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-yvmXSj-1k"}]...

Devlogs:
DEVLOG 1: i learnt how to set up a server with node.js and it seems quite complex but turns out that its just this obstacle i need to cross to start locking in on the actual app!!! And just by learning how to initialise your server with server.js, i’ve understood how the backend will be calling the specific apps! this is going to be a looooong project andI’m excited to share the journey with yall!!
because i had to change the folder name, the hackatime time checker messed up and ruined the timing i had actually done, which was for 57 minutes. but nonetheless the initial writing for server.js is complete! now ive moved on to making a gait engine which basically tracks the way you walk. this will be the core part of the project and as im making it im able to learn a little about maths aswell lol
Devlog-3 : The python engine: so after a long 26 minutes i finallyy finished the python engine which basically tracks the legs of the person its viewing and calculates the distance the ankle, heel etc are from each other and then with some arc tan finding angle yabadabadobee, it finalllyyy worked. now i’ve started on the html part and safe to say this is a pain in the butt. but away we go!
After hours of understanding how html works i finally made a html page for tracking the gait of a person whose walking! took me long enough lol now im gonna move on to other parts of the program!
43 mins later and alot of changes had to be made to all of my files since im updating them as im moving forward with each new file. now i’ve been working on the csv data to pdf file converter in python and hopefully it goes smooth!
Devlog 6- finalised my pdf generation for the gait analyzer this morning and safe to say this was a PAAIN to make i had to learn so many new terms it was crazy anyways the pdf generator basically takes your gait data (cadence, stride length, step length, double support time) in a form of csv (which my gait analysing engine tracks real time and creates) and gives you an automated response of all the data on wether your walking style is good or bad, ive got only a few more html files to make and finally i can ship this project!
devlog 7 - just finished the program which checks your posture! it uses our gait engine aswell because it checks a few other metrics including the shoulder alignment, finally all i need to do is create the 3rd and final program which has an option to take in the walking style measured in a loong time (saved as csv) and report given to us as a pdf. Then i make the index.html and try my best to ship the project!
dev log8- I FINALLY FINISHED MY GAIT DETECTION APP!!! I’m insanely happy with how this turned out and now all thats left is to fire up my local nodejs server test to see its accuracy, beautify things and then FINALLY i’ll learn how to ship my project (since its got a python backend which i’d love to get help from yall on how to ship) and we’ll move on to the next project!!
dev log 9- trying to deploy this app has been a nightmare. it is almost impossible to do so without paying for the web services so instewad ive decided to add a demo video showing how the project works with the files they can download and run by themselves
Heres an update to why neurostratum is not deployed: NeuroStratum uses your device’s webcam in real time for live gait and posture tracking. Browser security (and most free hosting sites) don’t allow a deployed server to reliably access a stranger’s webcam for real-time video processing — this is true of basically any live computer-vision project, not just mine. Instead of a broken live demo, I recorded a full walkthrough video showing every feature actually working, including live tracking on myself and a normal versus abnormal gait comparison. You can also clone the repo and run it locally (see setup instructions in the README) since it needs local webcam access either way! thank you!(I’ve tried deploying it on multiple hosts, trust me it didnt work one bit.) and i DID NOT USE AI FOR MY README????
Ships:
AFTER DAYS OF RESEARCHING ABOUT MEDIAPIPE AND THE MATHS BEHIND TRACKING WALKING DATA AND 6 HOURS OF CODING I CAN PROUDLY SAY THAT I FINALLY FINISHED MAKING NEUROSTRATUM!! How to run it this project and test it locally: Prerequisites Node.js (v18+ recommended)-> includes npm: download here Python 3 (latest) : download here pip packages: numpy, pandas, matplotlib, fpdf VS Code (recommended, not required) download all the files as a zip (or clone it),unpack it and then install all the requirements for the libraries, check if you have npm installed and then type “npm start” in the project terminal, click the localhost link and youre good to go!...

The only complicated part about this is that it uses an escape code to move the cursor back up, so as to give the illusion that the same printed text is moving. I made a character set option and then got ChatGPT to generate some character sets. These follow the convention set by the actual algorithm, in which it’s just 17 characters, with 0 being empty, 15 being the start, and 16 being the ending position. I also added a bishop key so that during the animation it would show where the bishop was. To accomodate the Katakana and emoji options (I didn’t show Katakana but the emojis do show it), I had to modify the draw function to double the width of the graph. It’s still 17, just getting printed as 34 or so. I got colors too. I just made the same dictionary as a character set but with the color names (I’m using click for the CLI, and it has an API for coloring text) as the values. I then modified the draw function to use the value of the dictionary at the key corresponding to the tile as the foreground if the colorize option was enabled. It grabs a joke from the api: https://official-joke-api.appspot.com/random_joke . I also copy pasted this one. It uses axios to fetch a joke. Here’s a joke from the bot: Have you heard of the band 1023MB? They haven't got a gig yet. 3. /m26-wordle . It gets the wordle answer of the day. I used the api: https://www.nytimes.com/svc/wordle/v2/YYYY-MM-DD.json . I made this one by myself. I have to fill in the dates, so I use this bit of code to get the date: const today = new Date (); const yyyy = today . getFullYear (); const mm = String ( today . getMonth () + 1 ). padStart ( 2 , ' 0 ' ); const dd = String ( today . getDate ()). padStart ( 2 , ' 0 ' ); Then I just fill in the blanks: await axios . get ( `https://www.nytimes.com/svc/wordle/v2/ ${ yyyy } - ${ mm } - ${ dd } .json` ) 4. /m26-help This is the last and simplest one. So today I am starting a cool project Earth or Alien? I am thinking of making it as a fun project and use real NASA data for it I started with the basic structure of game by creating index.html file and a script.js file where it will fetch the data lets see how it turns out to be and what I make as I am exploring how to use some coool NASA images
So done with the core of the project i completed the home page and also how the game will work and its working fine currently it shows only images but we cannot actually play it later will make the buttons working so we can actually have fun
So the game is finally fully playable now! I got the buttons working and added a 7-second timer so you have to guess really fast, while you can also see your current and max score. I also figured out how to write a script that secretly downloads the next few images in the background while you’re playing. Now there are zero loading screens. Starting the website The div tags are not working
Div tags working!
I added lorem ipsum as I don’t have enough text to put in the div tags. I changed the colours, and changed some widths.
Almost ready! I was cheating the widths before, but they now work whatever the window size is. Slowly replacing the lorem ipsum.
Added a nav bar, more sections, and more pages.
Changed the layout to a masonry layout

An assistant for a salesperson, not another lead list. You give it a customer profile, it walks the Czech public registers, and once a week it hands back a handful of companies with something that actually changed this week — each with a full dossier where every claim carries the exact quote it came from and a link to the page it was found on. Built as a take-home assignment for RTsoft (they sell custom shop-floor management software), and it’s live in production, not just running on my machine. What was challenging? Hallucination is the whole risk of this task, not a side concern — an invented fact about a company that a salesperson pastes into an email is worse than no output at all. So the model never gets to assert anything; it proposes a claim + a quote, and my code searches for that exact quote in the page text I archived. First time I ran a verifier that rechecked stored claims against their own archived pages, 100 of 172 supposedly-verified facts failed — all from one code path, the part reading the state register, which had been marking its own claims “verified” without ever passing them through the check. The other hard part: I assumed a good weighted score could rank “why this company.” Two separate experiments — a permutation test and a 1536-dim embedding of company sites — both came back at chance. The site text just doesn’t say who’s buying software. Had to throw the score out and rebuild ranking around what’s actually provable instead. What are you proud of? One line in the schema: claim.snapshot_id NOT NULL REFERENCES snapshot(id). A claim about a company physically cannot be inserted into the database unless it points at a stored page snapshot — “nothing without a source” isn’t a rule I have to remember, it’s a foreign key. Also proud that manual review keeps finding real bugs the statistics don’t: a solar-panel subsidy misfiled as “scaling up production,” a company ranked #1 whose own grant paperwork said they’d already bought the system — both caught by reading five actual cards, after two rigorous experiments said everything was fine. What should people know so they can test it? It only works for Czech companies — the sources are Czech state registers. python -m pipeline.run –check tells you exactly what’s missing before you run anything. The number that matters on every dossier is the last line — “N verified facts · N inferences · N discarded” — click a claim’s source link and check the quote is actually on that page; that’s the whole trust model, so it should be checkable, not taken on faith.", "repo": "https://github.com/qqxzew/icp-scout", "demo": "https://www.icp-scout.fun/"}]...

I started working on icp-scout - an AI assistant that helps find potential B2B customers. The idea behind the project is simple: instead of a salesperson spending hours searching for companies, opening different websites, and collecting information manually, the assistant should handle this routine work. The goal is not just to provide a list of companies, but to explain why each company could be a good fit and why now might be the right time to contact them. Right now, I’m working on the basic project architecture and thinking about how to make AI results more reliable. The biggest challenge with systems like this is that AI can confidently generate information that is not true. That’s why it is important that every important statement can be verified and has a clear source. Next, I plan to connect public company data sources, build the first analysis pipeline, and test it with real examples.
The assistant now produces real company cards - every claim on one carries the exact quote it came from and a link to the source it was found in. To make sure that actually held, I wrote a check that re-verifies every stored fact against the archived page it supposedly came from, and ran it over the whole database.100 of 172 “facts” failed. Every single one came from my own code: the part that reads the state company register was writing claims marked “verified” without ever passing them through the verifier. The irony is that the register is the most trustworthy source in the entire project - it was just the only one asserting things instead of proving them. Now 177 of 177 pass.I also cut the weekly run from ~50 minutes to about 2, after finding an official API that lists which companies changed recently - 30 of mine in a week, instead of re-checking all 3,299.
Ran two experiments trying to find better weights for the outreach-order score — a permutation test on our own signals, and a 1536-dim embedding of company sites — both landed at chance (AUC 0.39, p≈0.8). Turns out public site text just doesn’t say whether a company is buying planning software; that’s a ceiling in the source, not something more features would fix, so scoring got replaced with an order read straight off the client’s own ICP document instead of invented weights. Then reading five actual weekly cards by hand caught two things neither experiment did: a solar-panel subsidy misfiled as “scaling up production,” and the #1 company on the list whose own grant description said “we’re buying a complete information system” — already a lost lead, not a hot one. Fixed the classifier — it was only reading project titles, never descriptions — and one signal class jumped from 214 to 1014 matches, 415 of which used to be pitched as reasons to call. Two rigorous measurements found nothing; two hours of eyeballing cards found the bugs sitting at the top of the list.
Built a carousel for the week’s five cards - swipe through them one at a time, or flip to a plain grid
Wired up actual deploy: push to main, and a minute later the demo is running that commit. git archive straight over ssh into a receive script — no registry, no git pull on the server, so the server never holds credentials for this repo. The one thing it refuses to do is kill a run in progress: /api/run spawns the pipeline as a subprocess, and a container restart takes it down with it. I also had to make sure notes, shortcuts, and profile data were saved correctly using local storage while keeping the page feeling personal rather than like a generic dashboard. What I’m proud of I’m most proud that Space Pulse is a functional project that I could actually use every day. The personalized shortcuts, notes, and emoji profile give it its own character, while the NASA imagery adds a nice visual touch without taking away from the overall design. What people should know before trying it out Space Pulse requires JavaScript to be enabled in the browser. What I made I created a custom new tab page called Space Pulse . It’s a compact personal dashboard featuring a NASA APOD image slider, search bar, shortcuts, sticky notes, and an emoji-based profile section. What was challenging The biggest challenge was fitting all the features together without making the interface feel cluttered. Notes, shortcuts, and profile settings are stored locally, so they will be lost if the browser’s local storage is cleared. The NASA APOD image updates daily, and when an image is unavailable or the APOD is a video, a fallback background is displayed instead....

All 3 commands (/tab-of-the-day-ping, /tab-of-the-day-get, /tab-of-the-day-tip) are working now. It’s ready to ship :)))
Ships:
Made my first Slack Bot :) Its a guitar tab bot, mostly because I kept losing motivation when I didn’t know what to practice. It sends a random tab or a practice tip whenever you run one of its commands. The hardest part wasn’t even the code, it was getting it to actually understanding how to use Nest to make it live 24/7. However, the guide was pretty useful, and after some trial and error, I was able to get it to work. Proud that I stuck with the debugging instead of giving up on the requirement, and that I ended up building something I’ll actually use. To test it, try /tab-of-the-day-ping, /tab-of-the-day-get, and /tab-of-the-day-tip in any channel it’s been added to....

Ok everyone this could be the last devlog of Monochromium on Stardance… Stardance is almost over and so I am just doing the final polish on 0.6.1 and then its shipping time. But wait! Don’t leave! Monochromium is NOT done, in fact its FAR from finished. There is still a LOT to do. But before we get to the future lets cover the now. Here’s what I am up to: Readme updates and fixes Bug fixes Added brew tap!!!! Here is the big ones: BREW IS HERE!!! I heard it was hard to install so here is the brew install! brew tap Papaya-Voldemort/tap brew install Papaya-Voldemort/tap/monochromium Ok so I found out nb was a pretty popular competitor to Monochromium, so I just had to run a quick benchmark… And uh… I think the screenshot speaks for itself lol Ok now what after Stardance: Close open issues Get more feedback Make it better to use basically that loop forever! I actively use monochromium and so I kind of improve it for myself which should hopefully make it better for others too! So thanks for reading! Sorry it’s been so long since my last devlog! I have been stuck writing emails for Haven for such a long time lol! But I finally got 0.6.0 out to you guys! Yeah I know it’s super cool! Here is what got added (yeah, added ! It’s been a bit since I was not just writing polish): Sugar commands for checkin , todo , and ideas — allows you to quickly add notes with different types Value row on the db — allows you to add a value associated with the notes (as a suggestion: hype for ideas, mood for checkins, and priority for todos) And the big one… an overhauled stats command with mood graphs ! Yeah, you saw the value row and thought it was LAME right! Well, I added it so I could add these fancy graphs! Ok, quick story time: my mental health sucks (I assume it’s a common thing among programmers), so I have been adding a little score: +4 or smth to the end of my checkins from monochromium. I honestly have loved this, and it helped me get through the day just a little better… So I added that feature directly into the CLI… yeah, you don’t HAVE to use it… but I highly recommend it, even if it’s just for the pretty graphs (in the media below :) Anyways guys, have a great day <3"}, {"post_id": 81914, "ts": "2026-10-23T00:44:26Z", "hours": 2.1578, "text": "I started working through the feedback that I got from the different star interviews on my last ship because I want to make sure that the next one’s really polished for you guys! Ok we are back to the daily devlogs! So lets get into this one: Today I just did a little bit of work, I implemented a utilities folder with small helper functions for tiny things here and there. I updated the add() function and made the checkin() function. Not much else… Honestly I have no idea what to put for the picture yet… Anyways thanks for reading!

Sorry for missing yesterdays devlog… Figured I would save it for today :) Today/Yesterday I worked on fixing major and minor bugs, additionally I made a export command to export all of the db rows quickly. Here’s what’s finished: 0.5.0 full release Official Markdown file support Quality-of-life improvements Comprehensive test suite for more things Here’s what’s in progress: The cryptography branch Basic file locking and unlocking More tests Binary optimization 0.5.1 beta release soon Here’s what’s yet to be started: Additional updates More commands Quality of life for locking and unlocking Better branding and more Anyway my first ship finally finished so I should be submitting the next one any day now, probably once 0.5.1 or 0.5.2 is completed! Thanks for reading bye! PS: Still no idea what to put for screenshots for a CLI like this so enjoy more terminal screenshots…
Honestly not much to share with you guys, just lots and lots of bug fixes across the board. Some of the major ones identified and fixed were: Commands breaking when parsing locked commands Code being super ugly :( Security Fixes And several I forgot… Any ways I am currently working on more security fixes so we can release 0.5.1 full release, I want to ensure that there are NO security issues for a update based entirely on making it secure… Some other planned stuff: Quick config change commands Better quick note title genration Full documentation on how to use Tutorial command? On Install helper prompt Anything else you guys want Ok bye! Changelog Fix fmt and clippy ( e839d6b ) pre security patch ( 90f155f ) QoL and code quality fixes ( a2be63e ) Bug fixes ( 9bbf71f ) Some more small polish ( 183aa5a ) 0.5.1-alpha.0: Attempt one at fixing enough bugs for a release ( 0a825ab ) PS: Make a github issue or submit a comment on any of the devlogs and I will most likely implement it within the day :)
I started working through the feedback that I got from the different star interviews on my last ship because I want to make sure that the next one’s really polished for you guys! I wanted to try to be professional with this, so I made five GitHub issues, and I’ve been trying to use the CLI for most of the stuff! Here are the two I finished so far: Switch stats command to use SQL count for performance and simplicity Added Mac OS Intel release as well as a Universal binary Unrelated to the start interviews, I added some checks before you can commit your code to prevent CI fails Anyway, guys, sorry for the long time between this and the last vlog. Hopefully you guys are having a great day. Thanks for checking in. Bye :)
Monochromium v0.6.0 — We’re so back (with graphs!) Sorry it’s been so long since my last devlog! I honestly have loved this, and it helped me get through the day just a little better… So I added that feature directly into the CLI… yeah, you don’t HAVE to use it… but I highly recommend it, even if it’s just for the pretty graphs (in the media below :) Anyways guys, have a great day <3
Hiya! And happy end of Stardance!
Ships:
Hi everyone! Today I am shipping Monochromium (v0.1.1) a flexible CLI note taking app for the terminal! Written in Rust its a fast app with a binary smaller than 2mb! We have a full spec for future versions and plan to keep writing more code soon! My favorite part of developing this app was probably learning the clap syntax, its quite easy and intuitive now! Thanks for reading :)...

Projects! i added a new page to my personal site that will display my projects at first i just make a list with clickable link seem okay at first but it just is too simple so i been trying some effect and shader but still doesn’t quite like it until i scroll on twitter and find a post about ibooks wood bookcase i was like that could work as a projects page for the implementation it just a picture with grid on top
Chagee Together! so i make a new page in my personal site that am really proud that is chagee receipt umm so first of all chagee is a milktea brand and they have an app that you can order and it will have a history so i reverse engineer the app api which is quite hard as the app use flutter which doesn’t really want to work well with proxy so i try using tool that will force that but it doesn’t really work so am about give up but then i found out there a web version that also use flutter but the http request shown up in network tab so yea there that i map out the api format and stuff then i write a cloudflare worker that will request the api then forward it to the site the reason am not directly fetching api from the app in my site is just there auth token and am pretty sure (not tested yet) that you can just do a POST to api that order the drink so yea also from the last devlog to this one i have been reworking my personal site by : break up script and styling into smaller modular file use turbo frame for sidebar component new page structure with sidebar instead
Pink goes good with green well after last devlog i decided that white is boring so i change my site background color to pink why pink? yk it pink why not? but well if there must be a reason it cuz there a stamp thing as my logo and it deep green so idk i just thought pink like it elphaba and glinda and well the outcome is good tbh anything is better than boring white
