I made Sticky Streaks for the 21 Days of Python challenge. I started with a basic Python project and slowly added more features over the 21 days, including a day counter, coin flip, dice, number guesser, calculator, Magic 8 Ball, slot machine, unit converter and more. The hardest part was probably keeping myself working on it for all 21 days and fixing all the random bugs I came across. I’m really proud that I actually finished it and managed to keep adding things throughout the challenge. If you want to test it, just download the project and run main.py. Have fun :)...

What I accomplished today Asset Sourcing & Processing : Downloaded new Smiski images to expand the overlay library. Renamed all source assets following the standardized s_1.png , s_2.png , s_3.png naming convention for easy script referencing. Popup UI : Made three new files, popup in .html, .css, .js. Essentially, it makes the popup window for the extension when the user wants to turn the smiskis off or on. Storage Integration : Connected the popup button to chrome.storage.local to persist the extension’s enabled/disabled state across browser sessions. Real-time Event Handling : Implemented chrome.storage.onChanged inside content.js so YouTube updates dynamically when settings change. Local testing : I got to “unpack” what I developed locally on my Chrome browser. When I click on my Smiski icon, I have my popup show up, yay! Current bugs and frustrations Although I have the images named the way I want them to be named, their backgrounds won’t be removed, which is very frustrating. I might have to resort to Pinterest, download their images, and get their backgrounds removed one by one instead of having it in bulk. As of right now tho, those images are uploaded and committed to GitHub as a backup. If anyone knows a way to remove the backgrounds from multiple images at the same time, a comment would help! I’ve always lacked motivation and creativity when it came to coding projects, so maybe if I scrolled through youtube videos of random stuff, maybe I’ll get some inspiration. I’m a big Jschlatt fan, and in one of his older videos, one of his fans made a youtube extension where Jschlatt’s cat, Jambo, would become the thumbnail of every youtube video. I thought that was pretty cool and funny, so I took inspo from that and did that with Smiskis, funny green figures that have monotone face expressions and do random poses. But anyway, here is what I got done today! Extension architecture : Set up Chrome manifest V3 in my manifest.json and configured the permissions to inject content scripts specifically into YouTube URLs. It will only work on YouTube thumbnails DOM Manipulation : Built a JS content script (content.js) that targets YouTube thumbnail containers (ytd-thumbnail) when the user scrolls on the YT page Randomized spawning logic : If the Smiskis are the same image, in the same position, and the same size, that’s lowkey boring. In this script, Smiskis are chosen randomly via a random number generator, and more random number generators are called to determine the positioning on each thumbnail and the Smiski’s size. Infinite scroll handling : Integrated a MutationObserver to watch the DOM and its continuous updates, ensuring new thumbnails get a Smiski when you scroll down Git setup : Made a git repo, cloned it into VS Code, broke it, made it again, committed and pushed any changes made Next steps: I need to actually add the images into my folders; there is no known website where you can just get Smiski images with no extra text. So, scrolling through wiki pages I go! VS Code gave me a random error that I’m missing a comma, but I can’t find the error, so I’ll have to go hunting for that discrepancy on my next day of coding. I need to launch this project onto the Google Web Store Add a popup toggle switch so users can switch the extension off and on without having to disable the extension entirely Update the README; I hate making READMEs. Getting started! First initialising h1, h2, and a generic blue container; in my past dabbles with HTML they always seem to be useful. I also figured out the general amount of pages I want (i.e. the division of my website).
I added some more files and streamlined the organization of the project. In addition, I’ve began creating text files from which JS functions can read text and display them on the webpage.
Made a load of pages for me to fill in. This project will be so fun. Also did more work in the CSS file, including adding red text.
10 essays go brrrrr. There will be quite a significant section for blogs on my website under a section called chaotic essays, where I note down some thoughts. Always wanted to make a site where all my thoughts can really be collected.
Procrastinated a bit today, didn’t get too much done. However, got another start on organizing the structure.
Worked on separating the different essays for the chaotic essays/blog section, as well as linking them all together.
Finished reorganizing the blog/essay section and began planning what to put in the main pages.
The boxes are refusing to align in the centre. I don’t know why.
Unfortunately got disrupted due to a storm. However, getting started on the academics page.
Finally, a full page finished - this is the page for school I just completed.
Finished the accolades section.
How did I not think of using Bootstrap before? It took me a long time to pick it back up, but here’s the first page with Bootstrap - my Coding page. I think I’ll stick with normal HTML for future pages though, it took so many unlogged minutes to figure out again.
Finally finished the debate section.
Completed a short TKS section. I really should get onto the other sections unfortunately - time wise, I’m under pressure.
All of these are done! yay!
Unfortunately, I realized that this many essays are excessive. So I’ll not be writing that many. No blog section anymore ig - I’ll just be writing one long section of essays.
And with that, I’m done all the pages! I think this is good enough for submission.
Some final changes to prepare for shipping, as soon as I can get that domain right…

Before this, entering something unexpected could cause errors or stop the program. I added checks so invalid inputs could be handled and the player could try again. 03/09/26 — Preventing Repeated Items While testing the random item system, I noticed that the same item could appear repeatedly. I changed the generation logic so the program checks previously selected items before generating a new one. This helped make the rounds more varied. 05/09/26 — Fixing Ability Logic As I added more abilities, I had to make sure the program was correctly tracking their uses and effects. I worked on the logic for reducing charges when an ability was used and making sure the correct effect was applied without accidentally generating another round. 07/09/26 — Fixing Percentage Calculations I worked on the percentage ability and found that the calculation needed to work regardless of which item had the higher price. I used an absolute difference so the percentage could be calculated correctly in either direction. 07/09/26 — Adding Ability Regeneration Logic I added logic for abilities that can regenerate after a certain number of rounds. This required keeping track of the player’s progress and checking when the required number of rounds had passed before restoring the charges. 09/09/26 — Improving Code Feedback I worked on the feedback given by the program after different actions. Instead of only changing variables in the background, the program now tells the player what happened when an ability is used or when an important gameplay event occurs. 16/09/26 — Fixing WordL Logic I continued testing the WordL checking system and found issues with how guesses were being handled. I adjusted the validation and feedback logic so that letters were checked against the target word more consistently. 17/09/26 — Cleaning Up the Code I went through the code after the recent changes and checked for remaining issues. I also started setting up the random item and price generation so each round could be different. 04/09/26 — Preventing Repeated Prices While testing Higher or Lower, I noticed that the game could generate the same price again. completed the guide for Give Your Website a Pulse! here’s how the website is looking now. i’m going to sketch out a design soon and implement it a rough draft of it for the first ship to complete the mission.
officially a new tab page! I added manifest.json to override existing google new tab code and added a nice search bar. I also updated the README and added a future plan. next up is making it look better and more functionable.
decided to cut this project short and finish without reaching some of my original goals as there are a few others I’m hoping to start on! final devlog for a while: fixed some formatting and made the google search bar functionable. + updated README with new plans.

That vision became BharatOS 1.0. 💡 What I Made BharatOS is a standalone, web-native sovereign operating system built with an ultra-liquid obsidian glass interface. It runs completely client-side in your browser with zero third-party telemetry, featuring: 🤖 Chanakya Sovereign AI Copilot : A built-in offline assistant that controls OS settings (wallpapers, language, volume) and writes kernel/systems code right in front of you. 🎨 Chitram Vector Paint Studio : A canvas drawing and vector tool with multi-brush support and instant PNG exports. 🧮 Aryabhata Scientific & Programmer Suite : Advanced math calculator, Base converter (Hex, Dec, Bin, Oct), and a live 2D Mathematical Function Grapher. 🎵 Sur Sangeet DSP Synthesizer : An 8-channel Web Audio piano with Vedic Solfeggio resonant harmonic presets (396 Hz to 963 Hz). 🌐 Indic Localization Engine : 1-click instant switching between 8 Indian languages (English, हिन्दी, संस्कृतम्, தமிழ், తెలుగు, বাংলা, मराठी, ગુજરાતી). 💻 Indic Code Studio : In-browser IDE with a live code runner and sandboxed compiler. 🧗 What Was Most Challenging? GPU Compositor & Smooth 120 FPS Performance : Initially, layering complex glassmorphism with heavy blurs across multiple floating windows caused frame drops on standard laptops. I completely re-architected the rendering engine to use hardware-accelerated CSS transforms ( translateZ(0) ), backface culling, and lightweight multi-stop translucent obsidian layers, cutting GPU composite overhead by over 70%. Zero-Trust Client-Side Architecture : Ensuring everything—from the Chanakya AI dispatcher to the audio harmonic oscillators and math engines—runs 100% in-memory without relying on external tracking servers or heavy dependencies. Designing a Culturally Rooted, Modern Aesthetic : Balancing Indian sovereign identity (Ashoka Chakra motifs, Vedic Solfeggio soundscapes, regional scripts) with a clean, minimal, Linear/Apple-tier design system that feels futuristic rather than retro. 🏆 What I’m Most Proud Of Instant Zero-Config Web Load : You don’t need to install anything or spin up virtual machines—BharatOS boots in sub-seconds directly on Vercel. The Polish & Micro-Interactions : From the 528 Hz binaural chimes on the lock screen to the live oscilloscope visualizer in Sur Sangeet, every detail was crafted with intention. Privacy by Design : The entire OS is sealed with local cryptographic integrity checks. 🧪 How to Test It (Quick 2-Minute Tour): Unlock the OS : On the lock screen, enter PIN 1234 or click ⚡ QUICK UNLOCK . Talk to Chanakya AI : Click 🤖 Chanakya AI in the top bar and type “Set wallpaper to Ladakh” or “Write IDT in C” . Play Music in Sur Sangeet : Click the 🎵 Sur Sangeet icon on the dock, select the 528 Hz preset , and play a melody on the piano keys. Graph Math Functions in Aryabhata : Open 🧮 Aryabhata , switch to the 2D Grapher tab , and plot functions like Math.sin(x * 2) * Math.cos(x) . Switch Language : Click the language dropdown in the top bar to switch the entire OS to हिन्दी or संस्कृतम् . 🔗 GitHub Repository : https://github.com/AviralDewangan14/bharatos1.0 ✨ Built by Aviral Dewangan", "repo": "https://github.com/AviralDewangan14/bharatos1.0", "demo": "https://bharatos-1-0.vercel.app/"}]...

🔗 GitHub Repository : https://github.com/AviralDewangan14/bharatos1.0 ✨ Built by Aviral Dewangan...

I built a handheld device that identifies birds by their song, run entirely offline on a Waveshare RP2350-Touch-LCD-3. 49. No phone, no internet, no cloud!
As planned, I conducted field testing in Belgrade and it was quite successful in bird sound recognition. I attached my field test report
There were some issues related to the device turning on and off such as shutting down on its own and touchscreen malfunctions and I fixed them.

Devlogs:
Lead alternative for all mobs Minecraft mod I successfully added the item in my Minecraft mod. Hopefully this mod will be the first one that I ship on Modrinth. The next step is to implement the special chain leash mechanics. Then I will work on chain rendering.
I implemented the chain rendering in my Minecraft mod. Originally I thought I would focus on the chain behavior but rendering seemed more interesting to do. I referenced the vanilla chain model and leash rendering code and came up with this. It might need some tweaks later (like reducing the scale) but it’s good enough now. It took me a lot of time to correctly calculate the UVs and vertex positions. Also internally I opted on using Fabric’s Data Attachment API instead of trying to mixin into vanilla leash classes and it turned out to be a lot easier than I thought. It even handles client sync and saving!
I made chains work in my Minecraft mod I had tackled with chain rendering in my previous post, after that I focused my efforts on making the chains work, actually drag the chained mobs to you. I did this by applying a correction velocity to all chained mobs which is calculated by the difference between the mob and the player’s position. In the attached picture you can see a chained chicken suspended in the air by me.

I finished the first version of my Minecraft mod This mod adds a new item, the Mob Chain. With this item you can leash all kinds of mobs including hostile ones. Something the vanilla lead item can’t do. Also because that it’s a chain it doesn’t snap or break like the lead. I uploaded the mod to Modrinth but it’s still under review. In the meantime you can download the mod file from Github releases....

I’ve been working on my personal website for the past few days and I think the homepage is pretty much done, take a peek :)
Been working on the works page! I’m considering either linking everything to their GitHub repositories or creating dedicated pages for them 🤷♀️
Finally, I finished the works page. I wanted to create some project-specific pages but I convinced myself not to. Next up, I might add a blog.
I did some work on the blog page. The blog side of things should be fairly minimal, as effects shouldn’t be distracting people from reading a post, but also not too minimal for it not to fit the design language I’m going for. I settled for something simple with nice, snappy, hover animations. Oh right, I also worked on a fancy animation that followed your mouse on the homepage but I ended up throwing it away as it was a bit too much.
Working on the blog post view and styling markdown components so everything looks nice and tidy!
I took some time to make this nice micro-interaction. This copies the link to the heading you have hovered to your clipboard, in the context of a blog post.
i may or may not have done a lot of stuff and kinda forgot to devlog - anyhow, it’s publicly available now and i finished making markdown components

Today I’m shipping Book Tracker (kitap.furkanhasanusta.com), a full-stack web app I built from scratch to turn messy bookshelves into an interactive, shared reading habit. The Problem At home, we have hundreds of physical books scattered across shelves. Over time, it became a total mess: My sister and I would buy the same book twice by mistake because neither of us knew what was already at home. We would read the same book at different paces, but had no way to track our own pages without dog-earing the book or using sticky notes. Goodreads felt bloated, cluttered with ads, and didn’t solve the physical shelf problem at home. I wanted something clean, private, fast, and actually fun to use with family and friends. So instead of just looking for an app, I decided to build one. What It Does & Why It’s Fun to Use Here are the features I built to solve our everyday reading problems: Barcode / ISBN Auto-Fill: Nobody wants to type page counts, publishers, and upload cover images by hand. I wired up the Google Books API so you just enter the title or ISBN, hit search, and all metadata and cover art pop in automatically. One Book, Multiple Readers: A physical book only exists once on our shelf, so it only exists once in the database. But each person in the house tracks their own progress, gives their own 1–5 star rating, and writes their own private notes. Focus Timer & Reading Speed: When I sit down to read, my phone is a huge distraction. I added a built-in timer with 25-minute Pomodoro, 45-minute Deep Reading, and open Stopwatch modes. When you stop the timer, you enter what page you started and ended on, and the app calculates your reading speed (pages per hour). Buddy Reads & Anti-Spoiler Discussions: When my friends and I read the same book, we can create a shared reading challenge with a target date and daily page goals. There’s a discussion board for leaving thoughts and reactions on specific pages—and if another person hasn’t reached that page yet, the system locks the comment behind a spoiler warning so the plot isn’t ruined! Reading Queue & Wishlist: An “Up Next” queue you can easily reorder with up/down arrows, plus a wishlist with price estimations so we know how much budget we need before buying. Stats & Streak Dashboards: Visualized with Chart.js—monthly page/book breakdowns over the last 12 months, category pie charts, favorite authors, and a daily streak counter that keeps you accountable. Quote Cards: You can save favorite lines as you read and turn them into styled quote cards ready to copy and share. Installable as an App (PWA): It’s fully responsive, has a custom dark theme, and works as an installable Progressive Web App with a bottom navigation bar on mobile phones. Tech Stack Under the Hood I wanted to learn how real-world enterprise apps are built, so I went deep into the .NET ecosystem: Backend: C# with ASP.NET Core 10 MVC Database: Microsoft SQL Server with Entity Framework Core 10 (Code-First approach with automatic migration runs on deployment) Frontend: Clean Vanilla JavaScript, CSS3 with CSS custom properties (variables) for dark mode, and HTML5 (no heavy JS frontend framework bloat) Testing: 18 automated unit tests written with xUnit and EF Core In-Memory database Data Visualization: Chart.js Try It Out! (Live Demo) The project is live right now! Several aspects consumed most of my time: enabling the app to process HTML emails safely, troubleshooting a strange bug that corrupting the app after a week, and implementing polling for new emails without annoyance. Due to its dependency on native protocols, the app cannot be hosted online. But, I successfully created a demo that functions on GitHub Pages. Wired up all the JavaScript today windows now actually open when you double-click an icon, drag by the title bar, and resize from the corner. Got the calculator doing real math and the terminal responding to typed commands (help, whoami, date, clear).
This is the feature beyond what the guide covers: a focus mode toggle in the taskbar that dims every window except the one you’re actively using, so you can concentrate on one app without visual clutter from the rest. Also added edge snapping: drag any window to the left or right edge of the screen and it auto-resizes to fill half the screen, like snapping windows on a real desktop OS.

Sentinel continuously monitors a server, detects incidents such as crashed containers, stopped services, high memory usage, and high load, then follows an Observe → Diagnose → Plan → Act → Verify loop. It can investigate the problem, propose an exact fix, wait for my approval, execute the fix through a restricted root agent, and then verify that the problem actually recovered. The most challenging part was making the AI useful without giving it a shell . Sentinel is split into two privilege boundaries: the main web application has no server access, while a separate root agent exposes only 27 named tools with fixed risk levels. Every action is checked again by the agent, and anything that changes the server requires approval. There is deliberately no arbitrary command execution. I’m especially proud that this is not just an AI demo. It is a real, production-running system with a live dashboard, incident history, deployments and rollbacks, container/service management, Discord/Slack approval, Ask Sentinel for natural-language read-only diagnostics, encrypted API keys, an installer, CLI, database migrations, and tests that guard against shell execution. It runs in under 120 MB RAM, uses under 2% CPU while idle, and starts in under 2 seconds. To test it: open the demo URL, explore the dashboard, incidents, and Ask Sentinel interface. The demo is designed so it can be explored without access to my actual server. For the full project, the source code and setup instructions are available in the public repository. The biggest idea behind Sentinel is simple: AI should be able to help operate real infrastructure without being handed unrestricted control of it.", "repo": "https://github.com/KaveeshKrishna/sentinel", "demo": "https://sentineldemo.kaveeshkrishna.in"}]...

Devlogs:
DEVLOG_1: I recently made a home server using my 7 year old laptop!! And now I am planning to develop an AI assisted dashboard for it which will help me manage my server remotely. Any suggestions will be appreciated :]
DEVLOG_2: Initially Sentinel was just a view only dashboard to see some stats of my VPS, but now I am working on a AI chat system as well called “Ask Sentinel”
DEVLOG_3: Added this specific hardware stats page where the real time data related to the CPU and Memory is displayed.
DEVLOG_4: Added Ask Sentinel and Incident tracking feature. along with a lot of other micro features. The way Incident tracking works is quite smart: the backend services (very lightweight) actively searches for any kind of error affecting the VPS. It then loges an incident and sends me a msg via discord webhook. I can approve the incident and then Sentinel will collect information like what as the problem the possible areas affected and stuff like that and after the report is compiled it is sent to the AI model of your choice which then generates an AI diagnosis and a list of process to fix the problem.
DEVLOG_5: Fixed a few errors in the Sentinel Health page, now it properly shows the number of tokens used by all the AI APIs added. also in the settings page now you can rearrange the usage priority of different AI models you have added :]
DEVLOG_6: Now the auto incident detection also keeps track of the previous ways of fixing the problem. So now if the same problem arises again instead of again consuming AI tokens, it will try using the previously used method to solve it :]
DEVLOG_7: In the activity page previously it was showing all the activities infinitely. I have now added a limit of top 50 activities anything above that will automatically be deleted. Also fixed the bug in the recordings page in which downloading the data as csv file was not working properly and all of the recorded data was not getting captured in the file :]
DEVLOG_8: Ok now I have also added a setting to manually set allowed paths in which Sentinel can look into and see files in order to give you more personalized responses in Ask Sentinel chat bot, any folder path not selected here won’t be accessed by Sentinel. Also I have added support for Slack Webhook and also any other generic Webhook. Previously it only supported Discord Webhook for notifications. :]
DEVLOG_9: In this update I have added restart and start/stop buttons to the services which are identified and listed in the Sentinel’s Services page. So now you can use Sentinel to also stop or restart all the services running on your server like caddy, docker etc. Also now Ask Sentinel chat remembers the chat context, so you can ask follow up questions and the AI will know where we left the chat :]
DEVLOG_10: The deployments page now allows you to pull any new git pushes using Sentinel itself and you can also see logs for each deployment.
