Rigged Usagi in blender for unity and fixed material/texturing
Made it a ragdoll in unity, had to figure out what counted as a hip and spines, but got it working! it is very satisfying to play with.
Using unity’s toon shader to make it actually feel like it’s drawn and not rendered in a traditional sense. The outlines look a bit wonky at the ears though because the normals are just positioned weird
Added a softbody system using a crazy amount of points that makes a network that impacts the player mesh. Editing the mesh and getting the body structure right took up the majority of the time, tweaking various settings, very boring. Though the reward is great! It is really satisfying to squish and deform.
Usagi can now WALK!! using standard third person controls and physics based steps, players can control usagi using WASD and mouse to look around. Hardest part here wasn’t the movement itself, it was the player rotating with the camera, since the gameobject doesnt rotate, the softbody points do.
Worked on more softbody functions, using custom scripts that works along with my softbody player controller, Usagi will now seamlessly ragdoll when player presses R and also ragdolls when touching certain objects. Players can also squish other Usagi’s too, maybe multiplayer in the future?? There is one problem though with the ragdoll script, i can’t seem to make it seamlessly go into player controlled mode and out of ragdoll mode… it keeps clipping into the ground
adding sounds for usagi and adding more graphical elements like bushes and a giant blender. Sounds are all one-shot audio from usagi episodes with background music and noise removed.
worked on a time slow feature where players can slow down time by scrolling, and adding some awesome destruction test like smashing blocks, block hit into wall, and more!
Ships:
I made a softbody playground for Usagi the bunny. This is NOT a game!! It is purely a physics demo showing what can be done in Unity3D. It made me learn a lot about physics based movement in unity as well as setting up softbodies and ragdolls in a 3D space. The most challenging part was probably getting the player to reset the softbody without breaking the whole thing. Enjoy!...

Devlogs:
Setting up the basic structure, adding a dark theme, and creating a fixed bottom status bar (similar to waybar), implementing a horizontal scrolling layout for the main workspace, inspired by tiling window managers like Niri. Added a JavaScript function to spawn dummy windows so you can see the scrolling mechanics along with a functional clock for the bar
Got the launcher show up when pressing shift + space. The problems was that it was getting hidden behind the DOM so I fixed that and now the launcher actually does show up when the user presses shift + space.
I removed window decoration because I don’t like it. Added navigation in the launcher using the arrow keys/navigation keys and ability to open the app using enter. You can focus the window by clicking it and close it by shift + c.
I added a full screen ability so u can full screen the active window by using shift + i. I also added the ability to change the active window by using shift + h to go left and shift + l to go right window. Additionally I added a highlight/backlight for the active window so that the user can know which window is active.
I added a wallpaper and made some theme changes for consistency.
Added ability to change wallpaper and add custom wallpaper in the settings application.
I made terminal functional with few commands. I added help, clear, echo, date, whoami, and neofetch.
I made the file manager actually functioning with some files in it asw.
I have added a functioning system monitor so now it shows some information. NOT correct one but it DOES show SOMETHING so yeah :)
Added a welcome screen to welcome and explain how to use it.
Added a readme.md file
Ships:
This is a keyboard driven, scrollable tiling window manager inspired webOS. Only for devices which have keyboard access cuz it is mainly keyboard driven....

I built a personal portfolio website with custom styling designed to look like it’s straight out of the future. What was challenging? Designing a futuristic aesthetic while keeping the layout clean and structured using HTML and CSS and prompting ai to get it right. What are you proud of? The unique visual theme and getting the site fully deployed and structured with multiple sections. What should people know so they can test your project? You can check out the source code and view the live deployment to explore all the sections and custom CSS features!...

Started the Project today. Done with the simple overall structure for the website, may need some changes later.
Worked on the styling of the website today with a little help for the colour palette. Worked on a bit of the javascript too.

I spent soooooooo much time on debugging, i discovered bugs that i didnt notice during the html and css phase. And im back again after a long break, this time im working on GitWrapped, spotify wrapped inspired interface. For now ive only built the html code for the frontend. Its supposed to take the username of the github account and pull information about it to be displayed in an interesting format. I actually decided to build this cause a similar situation happened recently where people were trying to show off their accounts, so i thought making a fun in piece of software for doing that would be nice. The fetching your story… part isnt supposed to be visible btw, its supposed to display after the user has entered A VALID username, ill work on those functionalities next (after the styling obviously)
Finally done with the CSS for this project (I think) I learned about a bunch of new css elements and using the :root tag too, which makes it quite a lot easier to make changes. Colour gradients make it look even nicer too. Well, uhmmm… Thats it I guess, dont know what to write anymore, gonna work on the interactivity next
Javascriptttttttt!!! It was a battle getting everything to work like i intended, when you try fixing something, something else breaks. Well… Ive made the software interactive, it can fetch and display live data from github over the github API. I also designed an activity heatmap, similar to the one in github to show work. I spent soooooooo much time on debugging, i discovered bugs that i didnt notice during the html and css phase. Visibility toggling, incorrect id syntax in HTML css caching as well too, (although i learned i could disable it later on so…) and screens stacking on each other were some of my major problems. I feel im almost done done, ill just do one last polish and readme as well.
Final devloggggg!!! Im finally done with version one of GitWrapped!!! Honestly this has been one of the most exciting but frustrating projects ive ever done. I spruced up the UI a bit to make it feel more appealing. I added a work history heatmap, downloadable summary card that can be shared with friends, link to the github account the summary is referencing, and a bunch of other tiny fixes/updates. Deploying was a bit problematic too cause of the GitHub PAT I used, so I had to find a better secure work around. Learning stuff for the first time can be crazy, cause the tiniest of mistakes can cause an error and lead you on wild goose chases lasting hours, my final bug for this project was literally just a single “.”, thats it, I started wondering whats wrong but after a while i was able to discover it. So thats pretty much it for GitWrapped, Hope you guys like it!
#UPDATE I did a little retouch to the UI because it apparently looked like I used AI heavily for it (I used it to do some code correction and implementation issues mainly), but I have redone it with my own personal touch (based on what ive learned while building the first version). I changed the background to a simple color gradient instead of the characteristic glossy AI looking background and adjusted the color code a little. The overall layout is still pretty much the same.
I created a simple welcome screen, with an animation as well too, and also a sort of dropping curtain overlay for when the button is clicked that comes down from the top, switches to the next screen then goes back up again. At first I encountered an issue where the overlay started from the middle of the screen to the top and bottom, but i was able to fix that after a few tweaks. I used the pixel font from google fonts because… well thats what I wanted to see when i open the software so…
Added a dialogue box to the input screen inspired by the orpheus overlay Ive seen, although i want to use it for every screen, lets see how it goes. I almost broke the entire thing trying to make the dialogue box a global variable that can be used on every screen, so I quickly reversed all the changes, will try to do it again later I also used a default smiley face emoji as a placeholder, im still deciding whether to use pixel art or trying drawing a character myself (even though I cant really draw 0…0)
UHHHHHH, Finally almost done with the restyling (almost, I think), made a lot of changes, especially to the downloadable card, there were A LOTTT of errors EVERYWHERE!, and a small mistake will make you scratch your head for hours, I literally forgot to comment out ONE line of code, and it almost ruined everything, anyways, I should be making the finally touches soon (There genuinely is an github account for any name haha)

This is a project called GitWrapped. It can turn any GitHub profile into a Spotify wrapped style story. The most challenging things in this project for me were the CSS page CSS errors, positioning was also acting up, I think I had a sort of variable conflict or something, almost pushing my tokens to github which was automatically blocked, but that presented another pushing general issue, I eventually had to create a New repo since trying to fix the old one was too much unnecessary work. Im proud of the fact that I was able to think up an idea and build and deploy a working model all from scratch, thats pretty awesome to me. The software requires a VALID github username (obviously), any other information check out the README! It would be great if i could get feedback on the project itself from other people, so if you guys dont mind, drop what you think of it....

I also added a button that applies a random force to the pendulum, a button that slows the pendulum down by increasing friction, and a button that shows the controls on screen. Furthermore i added some nice quality of life features like the hitbox of the green handle becomes bigger the faster it is making it easier to grab while its spinning fast. Oh and i added a little color change when grabbing which isnt very noticeable but a nice touch. And last but not least i used claude to add some of the async stuff required by pygbag to convert it into html to be run on itch.io as a demo without downloading anything. I also quickly made a nice logo for this in inkscape which i think looks nice. So hopefully i can release this now!
Ships:
Swing It, is a simple physics game about swinging a double pendulum. Drag the green handle, release it and watch the pendulum move! you can play it over at itch io directly in your browser: https://nurali312.itch.io/swing-it The maths was pretty complicated but once that was over it was mainly about polishing the experience as the physics provided some lets say “unique” bugs. Overall it was fun working on this and i think it came out great. its really fun to just swing it around and watch the chaos and the different trails it makes....

It auto-deploys to GitHub Pages on every push via GitHub Actions, with the API key injected as a secret so it never appears in public code. What was challenging? The Vite demo assets weren’t at the paths the tutorial listed, so I had to find the real locations before anything else. Layout jumps: the first render dumped a full-size image; a forced 4:3 aspect-ratio cropped images and letterboxed videos. The fix (placeholder swap on onload, natural ratios with vh/vw caps) took the most iteration. YouTube links silently break a tag — caught that and switched to iframes with a watch?v= → embed/ conversion. Blank deployed page: forgetting base: ‘/nasa-apod/’ and setting Pages to the wrong source produced 404s that took a full deploy cycle each to diagnose. What are you proud of? The placeholder → aspect-ratio snap: it’s the clean part where the CSS state and JS loading timing combine so the page never jumps or shows a broken frame. Also the error path — response.ok checks surface NASA’s real messages instead of failing silently — and that the whole thing (build, tests via curl, deploy) is verifiable end-to-end. How to test it: Live site: https://himanshu-2010.github.io/nasa-apod/ — no setup needed; it loads today’s image on open. Use the date picker at the top: try 1995-06-16 (the first APOD ever) to confirm past dates, or a known YouTube day like 2019-07-04 to see the iframe branch. Resize/responsive: shrink the window — the strips disappear under 600px and the media box tracks the viewport. Error path: pick a date before 1995-06-16 (the picker’s min blocks it, but hitting the API out of range proves the .catch shows NASA’s message). Local dev: npm install, set VITE_NASA_API_KEY, then npm run dev.", "repo": "https://github.com/himanshu-2010/nasa-apod", "demo": "https://himanshu-2010.github.io/nasa-apod/"}]...

Built around an ESP32, OLED display, keypad, RTC module and LittleFS storage, it combines inventory management, component lending and return tracking, a clock, timers and Pomodoro study sessions in one device. The custom keypad uses Nokia-style multi-tap text input, while local storage allows the inventory to work without relying on the internet. I’ve also been working on power optimization using ESP32 light sleep, so the device doesn’t waste battery power when it’s idle. I have around 230 modules and sensors, and searching through all those pouches every time I need something is honestly annoying. So I decided to build an inventory manager using an ESP32 and an OLED display. The idea was to search for a component and get its exact location instead of digging through everything manually. I also wanted to add a few things I’d actually use at my electronics bench, like timers, Pomodoro sessions and a clock. What started as a simple inventory tracker was already turning into something bigger. Day 2 — Getting the keypad and RTC working I worked on the keypad interface and RTC integration. For text input, I wanted something similar to the old Nokia phones, where pressing a key multiple times lets you enter different letters. It makes searching through hundreds of components much easier without needing a full keyboard. The RTC was a different story. Initially, the ESP32 couldn’t communicate with it, and I thought the module might be faulty. Turns out, I’d swapped the SDA and SCL connections. After fixing that, I got it working, but the time was still incorrect. I had to set it properly and replace the nearly dead coin cell. At least it wasn’t a dead module. Just my wiring. Day 3 — Making the battery last longer Once the main hardware was working, I started looking at power consumption. The ESP32 was constantly running its main loop, updating things even when I wasn’t interacting with the device. Not ideal for something powered by a 2,200 mAh battery. I started optimizing the loop and implementing light sleep so the ESP32 could spend less time actively processing when idle. The RTC handles timekeeping independently, which helps avoid keeping the ESP32 awake just for the clock. There’s still room for improvement, but getting the power management sorted out was an important step. Day 4 — Organizing the inventory I worked on the inventory system using LittleFS for local storage. This means the component data stays on the ESP32 itself instead of depending on an internet connection or an external database. The plan is to keep track of component names, locations, quantities and lending status. With around 230 components to manage, having everything searchable in one place makes a real difference. I also wanted the device to be more than just a storage database. Having inventory search, timers, Pomodoro sessions and a clock together makes it much more useful on my electronics bench. Day 5 — What’s next? Looking at the current build, there are still plenty of things I want to improve. The SSD1306 OLED works fine, but its small size is becoming a limitation. A TFT display would give me more space for a better interface. The bigger idea, though, is voice control. I’m planning to experiment with an INMP441 microphone so I can eventually give commands like asking the device to locate an OLED or update the inventory when I borrow a component. Of course, plugging in a microphone won’t magically turn the ESP32 into Jarvis. Wake-word detection, speech recognition and command processing will all need work. For now, I’m happy with how far the project has come. It’s still a work in progress, and every new feature seems to introduce another problem to solve. That’s pretty much how my electronics projects go."}]...

HI, Im starting a new project called bloggy. I was gonna do it anyways, but Im going to use stardance as a way to force myself into making it. Its going to be just a minimalistic website for blogs and showing to the world my other artistic work. Ive been planning to host it on my homelab via tailscale funnel, so weill see how it will work. For now only raw blog pages are created, so theres still some work. Gonna keep u updated
Devlog 2 - Photos. I have made a gallery so you can share that nice picture of a tree with rest of the world. And the world can give you feed back by the comment section! Maybe its time to talk a little bit of my tech stack. So i choosed to go with easiest technology on the market: flask as fastest framework to build with. peewee as easiest to implement database. and as a frontend some html & css with a bit of help can do the job kinda well. Let me know what you think about this
Devlog 3 - Admin panel. It took kinda long but i managed to make flask run two apps with access to each other. So admin panel is going to have separate port from the app. Also, now you can create plugins, and add them just by dropping a file into the folder. Finally, Ive added a bit of statistics so you can now see how well your blog is doing. Let me know in the comments what else youd like to see
Devlog 4 - Comments & Polishing. It’s been a long time since the last post, but I’ve made great progress on the app and I think it’s finally ready to ship. I patched a few security flaws, squashed some bugs, and wrote a discussion page for blogs, so readers can share their thoughts after reading. There’s no sign-up page, and yes - you can type your name and be anyone, but I think that’s what makes the internet better.
Devlog 5 - Readme, Docker & Ship!!! I`ve managed to bring back my homelab to life, so this time i decided to use docker to not screw everything up. After some trouble docker was ready. For some reason It worked on my machine, but on homelab it had some problems, but it sure works now. Then quickly adding readme, bc shipping requires to and it was ready to be funneled onto the internet. And thanks God for tailscale bc my beloved ISP wont let me port forward on my router. The app is finally ready so you can give it a try here: https://homelab.taila52305.ts.net/ It was really fun project and I think thanks to this my coding burn out is no more. Thank you all for this amazing journey. See you next time.

After a session ends, the app no longer leaves live mode immediately, rather it freezes final data (after 5 mins of wait to ensure all data is final) and waits until the user manually clicks exit live. this is to avoid the transition from live mode back to countdown from being very jarring, especially considering that F1 TV stream is delayed by a varying number of seconds. 2. added car status badges in the tower (these indicate if a car/driver is out, retired, in pit, or eliminated, and greys them out accordingly)! 3. animations in the tower! these indicate when a driver changes positions (either by overtaking/getting overtaken in race/sprint, or setting faster laps in practice/qualis). by obvious reasons, these project better in live mode than in demo mode (the whole thing is sped up x3, its an animation party lol). also didnt mention this in github but i added an about button in the app so its easier to find the build version yes you heard that right, this aint a DEV build, im confident enough in this build to finally upgrade the app to beta! if everything goes well tomorrow during the race, im finally releasing v1 and shipping this project! and if you ask why i just tested with quali and not with the sprint as i promised, eeeeh i may or may not have completely missed my alarm and slept through the sprint… DONT BLAME ME IM TIRED AF"}, {"post_id": 78212, "ts": "2026-10-09T23:53:23Z", "hours": 3.3825, "text": "vroom vroom, Devlog 13: post-singapore sprint quali testing! basically every feature worked during this test, but at the end of SQ2 the app decided to kill my hopes and dreams by exiting live mode mid-session, but i think ive found the fix (hopefully). once again, since ive not slept for over 30 hours atp, i am too tired to rewrite a new explanation for all the changes i did during this time period, so imma think smarter, not harder by recycling my very good and thorough explanation i used for the github release notes lol these are the changes and updates in this new build (DEV_0.3.0): 1. Instead of using an automatic switcher (which proved to give lots of errors) to switch between live mode and countdown, now you can enter/exit live mode through a button (when there’s an ongoing live session). 2. lap counter for races & sprints (only available in live mode). 3. Track map and live mode changes & updates (using MultiView’s API): better circuit outlines and color change for better visibility, track map broadcast orientation, numbered corners, sector flag zones, and pit loss with safety car and VSC figures. and yea, that’s that! now imma go get some real good sleep before waking up at 3 am AGAIN to test with the sprint race why do i do this to myself"}, {"post_id": 78051, "ts": "2026-10-09T11:51:21Z", "hours": 1.5442, "text": "vroom vroom, Devlog 12: post-singapore fp1 testing! IN THEORY (again), this should be a definite, fully functional build of P1xp. like before, i still need to test it live, so this week’s singapore gp will be my new test dummy. i created a recorder in the client thats capable of dumping every raw frame f1 sends to a file, plus a tool that reads a recording back and summarises what arrived. this allows me to have a recorded copy of singapore fp1 i can use as a permanent test fixture in case something doesnt work as intended during live testing. i really hope this works, im slowly going insane…"}, {"post_id": 76878, "ts": "2026-10-04T22:16:21Z", "hours": 4.5525, "text": "vroom vroom, Devlog 9: WE’RE BACK TO RACING!! so since i’ve only been able to work in short bursts of time over the past few days, progress had been very slow and not very devlog worthy, until today! i’ve been working on getting the most important OpenF1-dependent items to work offline, so in case of request blocks, they can still work just fine. this includes mainly the season calendar and the demo. the calendar now gets cached in storage for offline access. it is also able to update its contents by fetching from OpenF1 when possible, which helps make it proof to unexpected race calendar changes. for the demo, i created a .MJS file to create a .JSON file that saves the data from silverstone 2025 used in the demo. this allows the demo to always run offline and separate from openf1, instead of fetching data every time its used. this also allows the demo to run waaay faster than before, and makes it always available, even when openf1 blocks access to historical data when a live session is active. as a bonus, i also fixed the timing tower to actually differentiate between a race and practices/qualis, so for the latter it orders positions by best lap and show gaps to pole instead of race intervals, which are used for just the race itself. next up, i need to prepare the electron scaffolding for the app, as in order to fetch live data from F1 directly i need it to run as a desktop app. F1’s server doesnt send CORS headers, so browsers refuse to read it, but CORS is a browser rule, and electron’s main process is just node, so this allows a desktop app to connect where a webpage cant. and i need this to actually get the live session feed working, cuz as i said before… you mean i cant see LIVE data in the f1 LIVE experience app?! what kind of scam is this?!?!"}, {"post_id": 74717, "ts": "2026-09-28T02:04:18Z", "hours": 2.0064, "text": "vroom vroom, Devlog 8: HOW CAN YOU BE SO USELESS MAN?!?! pt.2 im backk! well technically ive been working a bit this whole time ive just not devlogged yet, so its time to report what has happened in the past few days! so as i mentioned last time, i tried to test with baku fp3, quali, and race, but my plan got cut short right in fp3. sooo due to my bad habit of not investigating deeply and not reading details, i didnt realize that OpenF1 doesnt give out LIVE session data to non-authorized users just historical data, which means there’s a paywall, stardance’s biggest enemy … soo effectively the project became useless in its current state. to add insult to injury, OpenF1 blocks all non-authorized requests to their servers when there’s a live session going on, so the whole app stops working when a live session begins lol you mean i cant see LIVE data in the f1 LIVE experience app?! what kind of scam is this?!?! if i had just investigated a bit further i would have found out that F1 themselves give out live session data for free. thing is, i can’t fetch this through web, so i will have to lock the app to desktop upon release. as for what ive actually done until now, i created a .json that saves the 2026 & 2027 calendars locally so it can fallback to that version when OpenF1 locks their servers and the home menu stops fetching data from them directly. this .json will also be capable of updating its contents when its fetching live from OpenF1, so in case of small inchidents (ahem war) that cause a race to be cancelled or changed of location (i sure love the bahrain gp in malaysia), the local calendar.json can update."}, {"post_id": 73429, "ts": "2026-09-25T02:20:58Z", "hours": 4.8192, "text": "vroom vroom, Devlog 7: ITS LIGHTS OUT AND AWAY WE GO (untested) FINALLYYY, after my longest work session ever, I got the live f1 session stream working*, with all the features i previously mentioned (time and position tower with wheel stats, race control, track map, team radios, and allocated space for F1 TV live stream if you are a subscriber)! *: the live stream was tested using past race data from silverstone 2025 (you can demo test the stream with the same data using the Demo option). vroom vroom, Devlog 8: HOW CAN YOU BE SO USELESS MAN?!?! pt.2 im backk! well technically ive been working a bit this whole time ive just not devlogged yet, so its time to report what has happened in the past few days! so as i mentioned last time, i tried to test with baku fp3, quali, and race, but my plan got cut short right in fp3. sooo due to my bad habit of not investigating deeply and not reading details, i didnt realize that OpenF1 doesnt give out LIVE session data to non-authorized users just historical data, which means there’s a paywall, stardance’s biggest enemy … soo effectively the project became useless in its current state. to add insult to injury, OpenF1 blocks all non-authorized requests to their servers when there’s a live session going on, so the whole app stops working when a live session begins lol you mean i cant see LIVE data in the f1 LIVE experience app?! what kind of scam is this?!?! if i had just investigated a bit further i would have found out that F1 themselves give out live session data for free. thing is, i can’t fetch this through web, so i will have to lock the app to desktop upon release. as for what ive actually done until now, i created a .json that saves the 2026 & 2027 calendars locally so it can fallback to that version when OpenF1 locks their servers and the home menu stops fetching data from them directly. this .json will also be capable of updating its contents when its fetching live from OpenF1, so in case of small inchidents (ahem war) that cause a race to be cancelled or changed of location (i sure love the bahrain gp in malaysia), the local calendar.json can update.
vroom vroom, Devlog 9: WE’RE BACK TO RACING!! so since i’ve only been able to work in short bursts of time over the past few days, progress had been very slow and not very devlog worthy, until today! i’ve been working on getting the most important OpenF1-dependent items to work offline, so in case of request blocks, they can still work just fine. this includes mainly the season calendar and the demo. the calendar now gets cached in storage for offline access. it is also able to update its contents by fetching from OpenF1 when possible, which helps make it proof to unexpected race calendar changes. for the demo, i created a .MJS file to create a .JSON file that saves the data from silverstone 2025 used in the demo. this allows the demo to always run offline and separate from openf1, instead of fetching data every time its used. this also allows the demo to run waaay faster than before, and makes it always available, even when openf1 blocks access to historical data when a live session is active. as a bonus, i also fixed the timing tower to actually differentiate between a race and practices/qualis, so for the latter it orders positions by best lap and show gaps to pole instead of race intervals, which are used for just the race itself. next up, i need to prepare the electron scaffolding for the app, as in order to fetch live data from F1 directly i need it to run as a desktop app. F1’s server doesnt send CORS headers, so browsers refuse to read it, but CORS is a browser rule, and electron’s main process is just node, so this allows a desktop app to connect where a webpage cant. and i need this to actually get the live session feed working, cuz as i said before… you mean i cant see LIVE data in the f1 LIVE experience app?! what kind of scam is this?!?!
vroom vroom, Devlog 10: ITS LIGHTS OUT AND AWAY WE GO (untested) pt.2 yes im very creative with my devlog names and like in pt.1, ive just finished my longest work session EVER. but the process sure makes it worth it. first and foremost, the electron stuff is ready, so P1xp is now capable of invading your desktop! isnt that so cool? the new live session data fetcher is now ready to be tested! its, in short, a signalR core client in the electron main process that connects straight to f1’s own live timing feed, which is hosted in their servers. unlike openf1, this one is free and requires no account to access live data. due to f1’s feed being completely different from openf1’s as it sends partial deltas (so one driver and one field at a time), a naive merge wipes data it didnt mention. so, ive created a new converter that keeps a cache per driver and always emits complete rows, so the timing tower, track map, radio, and race control panes all project live data without a single change to any of them directly. in demo mode, the circuit outline for the track map comes from replaying a lap of position data. when live, theres no history. instead, the app accumulates each car’s trail as it goes and draws the whole circuit in roughly the first minute of running. IN THEORY (again), this should be a definite, fully functional build of P1xp. like before, i still need to test it live, so this week’s singapore gp will be my new test dummy. i created a recorder in the client thats capable of dumping every raw frame f1 sends to a file, plus a tool that reads a recording back and summarises what arrived. this allows me to have a recorded copy of singapore fp1 i can use as a permanent test fixture in case something doesnt work as intended during live testing. i really hope this works, im slowly going insane…
vroom vroom, Devlog 10.5: debugging dewormers this is a short one, just added a few visual debuggers in live stream mode in case of unexpected inchidents during live testing. i really dont have a good image for this devlog, so take the countdown to the day in which the f1 gods will decide to either keep me alive or to kill me.
vroom vroom, Devlog 11: short n’ sweet short work session today i added an offline fallback to the drivers list in setup, as that was the only openf1-dependent item that still didnt have a fallback. it is also capable of self-updating. most importantly tho, i packaged the app itself! runners and installers are now available in the github repo (pre-release tag DEV_0.1.0), so feel free to try them out and to help out identifying bugs during the live testing this week in singapore! available for windows, macOS, and linux!
vroom vroom, Devlog 11.5: get lance strolled so major oversight, two issues that i completely forgot to fix before packaging came to my mind again. specifically: 1. the app was incapable of entering live mode on a fresh install during race weekend, cuz the cache was never created. 2. in case of a delay, cuz the live mode timer follows the predicted end time, the app would exit live mode before the session itself actually finished. these two are now fixed. now, the schedule comes bundled with the build, and proper processing in case of delay was added, only downside is that the app will take long to exit live mode, as it will stay waiting for signals after a session finishes, as this is the sacrifice to avoid, yk, leaving the whole session while its going on! installers for this build (DEV_0.1.1) are also now available in the repo. we will be back in 3 hours…
vroom vroom, Devlog 12: post-singapore fp1 testing! WOW THE THING THAT DOES THE LIVE THING WORKS (kinda ig but YAYY nonetheless i wont have to experience more unnecessary mental decay !! ) had to fix a few things, some are bigger issues than others but i think i have permanent solutions for those (hopefully)! as described in the new github repo pre-release (tag DEV_0.2.0), main changes include: updates to the track map (had rendering issues and is incapable of projecting driver position dots without a F1 TV subscription token, so it’s stuck as a simple track map for now, I might add the option to connect to your F1 TV subscription in a future update). driver acronym fix (due to update overwrite blanking the driver acronyms were turning into their number fallbacks mid-session). proper session ending (now you should NOT have to wait an eternity for the app to leave live mode after a session ends, i hope!). i really didnt feel like writing another explanation for that lol ive barely slept tonight and sprint quali is in about 40 mins, so yea no more sleeping for me yayyy endme . so yea, its time for testing round 2! lets see how that goes.
vroom vroom, Devlog 13: post-singapore sprint quali testing! basically every feature worked during this test, but at the end of SQ2 the app decided to kill my hopes and dreams by exiting live mode mid-session, but i think ive found the fix (hopefully). once again, since ive not slept for over 30 hours atp, i am too tired to rewrite a new explanation for all the changes i did during this time period, so imma think smarter, not harder by recycling my very good and thorough explanation i used for the github release notes lol these are the changes and updates in this new build (DEV_0.3.0): 1. Instead of using an automatic switcher (which proved to give lots of errors) to switch between live mode and countdown, now you can enter/exit live mode through a button (when there’s an ongoing live session). 2. lap counter for races & sprints (only available in live mode). 3. Track map and live mode changes & updates (using MultiView’s API): better circuit outlines and color change for better visibility, track map broadcast orientation, numbered corners, sector flag zones, and pit loss with safety car and VSC figures. and yea, that’s that! now imma go get some real good sleep before waking up at 3 am AGAIN to test with the sprint race why do i do this to myself
vroom vroom, Devlog 14: WE’RE NEARLY THEREEE!! im sooo closee to finishing this projectt! im actually soo happy with how things are coming along! although working on this messed up my sleep schedule very badly its really all been worth it. singapore quali testing went better than i expected, with the issues really just being the join live button hiding behind the hero cuz i forgot how to do basic css and the session end and live mode exit feeling very jarring as it ended immediately when the session ended, which combined with the F1 TV broadcast being off by aprox. 30 seconds, made the transition feel off. both of these have been fixed (more info below)! once again, im too tired to write another explanation for all the changes and updates i did, so its time to let github release notes me speak lol updates and changes in this build (tag 1.0.0-beta) 1. 3. animations in the tower! these indicate when a driver changes positions (either by overtaking/getting overtaken in race/sprint, or setting faster laps in practice/qualis). by obvious reasons, these project better in live mode than in demo mode (the whole thing is sped up x3, its an animation party lol). also didnt mention this in github but i added an about button in the app so its easier to find the build version yes you heard that right, this aint a DEV build, im confident enough in this build to finally upgrade the app to beta! if everything goes well tomorrow during the race, im finally releasing v1 and shipping this project! and if you ask why i just tested with quali and not with the sprint as i promised, eeeeh i may or may not have completely missed my alarm and slept through the sprint… DONT BLAME ME IM TIRED AF
vroom vroom, Devlog 15: STARVULKAN WINS THE MENTAL SANITY GRAND PRIX ! guysss FINALLYY, after weeks and weeks of slowly decaying into insanity, i’ve FINALLYY finished this very cool and amazing project!! im so happy with how things came along at the end, and I hope y’all can enjoy this silly little F1 project! testing during the race went as smooth the smooth operator 55 himself before 2026, with basically one lone issue, that being the app struggling to refresh the race weekend post race (throughout the whole developing process my biggest enemy was that ending transition huh). that’s now fixed, it now uses storage to know if to refresh. wrote the whole readme today as well, by far the most effort i’ve ever made for a readme, but i had to cuz this project means quite a lot to me. and as a final feature, cuz if i didnt i would get exterminated from this planet by the copyright agents, i added the possibility for you to choose your track images for the hero! since i had to delete the hero images that came bundled before cuz copyright and redistribution and stuff, the app, by default, now comes with no hero image, just a silly gradient. you, the user, now have the power of choosing the circuit hero image, bring your own from whatever source! details on how to do this in the readme! and yea! like that, i’m finally shipping this project of mine! thanks to y’all that have followed the whole development process and my (alleged) suffering and gave your amazing support! it truly means a lot to me 💖.

So in the past 1.5 hours I have been working on this new website which basically talks about the bansuri, which is my favourite instrument. And nobody really knows about it so I want to spread awareness to people on what it actually is. It is an indian instrument and I have been writing the html code so far and I got what I have to do but I am just struggling with new stuff that I am not very good at like adding col but I am figuring it out. So far I have written around 200 lines of code (mostly offline bc I had no internet) and it went pretty well… but I still think there are many errors, though I will fix them in the future, IF I FIND THEM… Anyway lets see how it goes.
In the past 35 min I have still been working on and been doing html and on and off testing. I completed creating most of the classes and buttons for it but I ran into a GitHub difficulty again…it kept saying (which I have never even heard of) when I tried making a commit msg. So I tried for a good 3-4 minutes. And then I just restarted my laptop 😭😭😭. And then somehow it randomly fixed and all the offline commits I made just had to be pushed so I did that too. First of all yes I completed my html. In the past 2.5 hours I have been working on CSS bugs and new things. So first I have picked my background and all the font styles which I may change later if they do not seem to match. I finished around 300 lines of css and had a BUNCH of issues will coding. For example creating the flute was much harder than I expected. I had to keep on testing where the holes go because a centimeter to far or two close messes up the whole orientation. Another hard thing was the top hole which is oval because I had to measure that. It is still not super perfect but it is good enough for this. Adioss
IN the past 2 hours all I did was work on CSS and I had soo many bugs like my classes from html were not matching — which was super annoying because I had to keep going back. Next time I should prolly write it down somewhere and put easier class names instead of making it tooo complex. I also worked on the cool background which blends various shades of blue in wards which is more cooler than full gradiency honestly. I also made the butttons better and the page more organized (with all the figures). Overall it is going prettyy well Adioss . Lemme know if u have any suggestions.
So progress has been going good and I finished the JS and it does not fully work which is sad but it will be fixed. So this whole time I have been testing my website in the vs code local server which was a BAD IDEA. Because when I tested it in a browser on chrome everything was off. The css is broken and also the HTML is which is normal in coding but THIS MUCH??. Here you can see the images below. It most likely happened because I put everything in a block sort of format so I gotta change that in css and some classes in html have issues like they dont match. Anyway lets see how it goes now…
For the past hours I have been fixing bugs and adding a gallery that has audios of me playing flute. It is not done yet but it is going well so far. The biggest thing I did was prolly fix the interactive flute because it was not working at all….Ai helped me figure what was wrong (it was capitilization) so I fixed all of that, but then all the buttons were super white so u literally could not see and it did not go with colour scheme so I changed the CSS to blue like the background and a set width of each it goes in a pattern like long, thin, long, thin. Devlog#1: Started my new game called upside by adding a square as a player and can move both side up and down and the obstacles which comes towards the player and then gets destroyed after reaching a zone!
Devlog#2: Created main menu and made the game playable atlast by adding particle effects to the game and also made objects spawn both up and down so that the player can dodge it and also added score and life UI so that the player can track it and enjoy the gameplay!
Ships:
I made Upside Down, a simple arcade game where you control a square and avoid obstacles coming toward you. The idea is to survive for as long as possible by moving up and down at the right time. The biggest challenge was keeping the gameplay simple while still making it challenging and fun. I am proud of making the game from scratch and turning a simple idea into a playable game but with challenging and fun way. The controls for the game is left mouse click so that the player can move up and down...
