😭 I should’ve paid mor attention in CS class I got a broken sql server which took GODDAM 2 WHOLE CS HOURS!!!! HOW IS IT SO HARD TO SET THIS UP NOT TO MENTION I HAVE TO CREATE AN ENTIRE PROJECT ON IT
created the flow chart of the project on notebook I forgot to turn on the lapse until i was almost done with it most of the part was missed and this thing is so ragebaiting. “YOU HAVE TO MAKE A FLOW CHART EXPLAINING EACH AND EVERY THING INCLUDING ALL THE FUNCTIONS” 🙄🙄
created flowchart part 1 Created the actual digital version of the flowchart i sketched out in app.diagrams.net well half of it till now rest of the work is going to have to wait for timorrow……. Phew school stuff is hard work 🥹🥹
done!!! finally finished manually making the whole flowchart and getting it to fit on a pdf. the hard part was how branched it gets even for projects like these which are dirst simple…. I dont want to have to make a flowchart for my college projects in the futture 😭
I ran into a mapping problem the original structure i decided to use had complicated mapping and i ended up entangled in it. so i went back dropped all the tables and rewrote the structure scratch up so now it is a linear mapping rather than many to one mapping
added 3 funcitons now moving on to make the main execution loop but i keep running into some logical error. the loop just shuts down automatically
created a file where you can run to initialise You can run this file to like initialise all the required stuff like database and tbales……
there was a mapping bug again made the changes to the chp table so as to include which all users can access which subjects
done and ready to shipppp i am finally done with this!!! phew and it is ready to ship although few features are left
Ships:
This is my Computer Science IP Project !! the problem statement: CREATE A MENU DRIVEN PYTHON PROGRAM AND USE A BACKEND LIKE SQL TO STORE THE INFORMATION. not all the features have been implemented and are kept for future versions Here, I will be using the terminal itself to run the code and not go for any UI creation as it makes the project a lot simpler and makes me confident that i can answer any viva questions that come my way. Assembly getting out of hands. Learning this is taking 3x the time
They’re random now!!!!!
I did some homework, and found out how to made things loop. And learnt a little bit of what flags are because of that cmp byte [input], ‘q’ This project is just mainly teaching me how Assembly works from beginner level. Really learnt a lot. I still plan to add one more feature, and it might crush me /jk I’ll try to make the prompts customize, I wish to import txt, try and except logic, and well yk the others are the say, tho it might be a bit of a hassle. It’s fun tho
I successfully configured github actions myself for the First time in my life! (YAY! #before this project it always fails everytime and I had to use AI to fix) why is it v0.8.6? because apperently there are still a few bugs for it to become a v1.0.0 but most of the functionality is ok, its just a problem with loops and the byte allocation/reservation for input (i think), but it works, as long as you dont abuse the input and put too long sentences (I should make it show only 64 characters and below should I, but it doesnt crash tho)

Does anyone know how I could still get stardust for the extra time? Anyway, it has been a bit since my last developed and I can assure you that I have added many new features targeted at making the system easier to use. Almost everything is changeable without even looking at the code. I am not sure if they were in the last devlog but I added a time rendered metric. The Editor UI I poured many hours into making a (hopefully) intuitive system to edit the scene to be rendered. You can now select any sphere with the arrow keys and move it with WASD. You can also open a menu to change it’s properties like radius, colour, and material. The Editor Preview Render I wanted there to be a real time preview of the scene whyle you are editing it. Due to the accumulative nature of my Path Tracer Running it in real time would look incredibly noisy and fickery. I opted to try and make a totally new rendering system that can approximate the result in a single frame. At the moment this works great for everything except fuzzie metals - they just show as smooth. Problems & Future Changes One of the things that i find annoying about the preview render is that there is some fairly obvious screen tearing on parts of moving spheres. This doesn’t affect the final render but is just a bit annoying When going to render the scene the first frame may contain some black lines that remain as ghosts for the a while until enough frames have been rendered over them and the colours average out. There is currently no way to change the resolution without editing the source code. It defaults to 480 x 270. A quarter of the standard 1920 x 1080. The sphere editing menu can jump around when choosing changing the selected sphere. I would like to add an option to hide or show the debug performance metrics. Extra Info Not much here :) In the images you can see both a editor preview render with all of the menus open and a quick render of the scene to compare to the preview. I also added a new tone map option that seems to be significantly better at representing bright colours than my prior two. The first one is purely clamping the HDR value to sRGB. As you may guess this leads to bright lights of most colours appearing white. I did have an alternative Reinhard tonemapper (v / (v + 1)) but that made everything look gray and desaturated as it applied the map to every colour channel individually causing all colours to look similar. The fix was to run the tone map with the brightest colour of the channel. This new screenshot is done with the new tonemapper and is a great example of the new glass refraction. i had a wonderful idea inspired by claude ai, to create a command such that the bot would display and elaborate on NASA’s daily astronomy picture of the day (apod). having some minor issues right now, like the picture not loading and only displaying the nasa icon. gonna continue tommorrow
added some new quote thing (im just trying to make the bot do more things, i might have some plans to integrate the bot into other platforms, hopefully more advanced stuff)
made a index.html for the demo url, hopefully i can ship and complete this project
so much troubleshooting, had to change many codes and add new insertions. finally after ~40 mins it worked

The old site had been sitting behind a maintenance page since September while I worked on this one. The look is a cozy old-web style: pixel fonts, little windows with their own title bars, a starry sky in the background. The sidebar is the centerpiece and it’s genuinely alive. It shows my Discord status in real time, coding (with the project and file I’m working on), watching anime, listening to music, playing games, or watching YouTube, each rendered differently depending on what I’m actually doing. My Apple Watch rings show up there too, synced through a Shortcuts automation on my phone. There’s also a “today” widget and a live visitor counter in the footer. The music page is more than just now-playing. Every 30 seconds the site polls Spotify and logs it, and I also imported my full official Spotify data export, so the yearly stats, top tracks, top artists and listening clock are based on real history, not just what the site has seen since launch. The anime page works the same way: a watch log scraped automatically, with weekly bars and badges for seasons I’ve actually finished. The whole site changes with the calendar. Each season has its own particles and color palette, and certain days lock in a special look no matter what you pick yourself: Halloween, Christmas (with a sleigh flying across the sky), New Year, Valentine’s Day, my birthday, and April Fools, which breaks almost everything on purpose for one day. There’s a guestbook with spam and keyword filtering plus a honeypot field, and a contact form that pings me directly on Discord with buttons to approve or reject what came in. Everything on the site, messages, gallery, projects, and a cache of everything pulled from outside APIs, lives in one SQLite file, and a background scheduler keeps that cache warm so visitors never wait on an external API. Nightly backups get encrypted and shipped off-site automatically. My pixel cat Mochi lives in the sidebar and reacts to what I’m doing. She dresses for the season, falls asleep in the browser tab icon when you switch away, and has her own idle clicker game complete with a shop, upgrades, achievements, and a prestige system. There’s also a hidden moon scene easter egg somewhere on the site that I won’t spoil here. The hardest part was keeping everything in sync without it turning into a mess: one database backing the entire site, a scheduler that refreshes different data on different intervals, and a Discord activity system built so that adding support for a new app is just dropping in one small handler file. Getting the whole thing ready to self-host on a Raspberry Pi, including its own Impressum and a proper cookie consent flow, was also its own project on top of everything else. What I’m proud of: there’s no tracking, no ads, it’s fully self-hosted on my own hardware, and it actually feels alive instead of being a static portfolio page. To test it, sign the guestbook, poke Mochi in the sidebar, click into the music and anime pages to see the real live data, and try changing the season picker in the footer.", "repo": "https://github.com/vxnsin/vensin-portfolio-v2", "demo": "https://vensin.dev"}]...

First, the anime page got a real watch log. Every episode gets pulled in automatically and turned into weekly bars, a “finished lately” row, and badges for seasons I’ve actually completed, not just started and abandoned like a coward. Then Mochi herself got proper outfits: a flower for spring, sunglasses for summer, a scarf and witch hat for autumn/Halloween, a santa hat for December, and party hats with actual confetti on special days. Hats sit on her ears now instead of floating above her head like she’s being haunted. Then I got distracted and gave her an entire idle game. Click Mochi, buy her upgrades, the upgrades make more mochi while you’re gone, and when the numbers get silly you spend one of her nine lives to prestige and start over with permanent bonuses. There’s a shop, achievements, and a golden mochi that shows up at random for a bonus. I will not be taking questions about how long I spent balancing the math on this. And somewhere in the code there’s a keyboard shortcut that triggers a full-screen moon scene with two people standing on the ground watching it rise. Find it yourself 🫡"}, {"post_id": 77633, "ts": "2026-10-07T18:03:58Z", "hours": 0.2681, "text": "Hello my little Stardancers ✨ Devlog #4 for vensin.dev v2: the site started celebrating holidays without asking me first. The whole look now follows the calendar. Spring gets sakura petals, summer gets fireflies, autumn has leaves tumbling down, winter gets pixel snow sitting on top of every window. Visitors can override it in the footer if they want a different season than the real one. But a few days of the year lock the look no matter what you pick: Halloween gets ghosts and a cobweb, New Year gets fireworks, my birthday gets confetti, Valentine’s gets pixel hearts, and Christmas gets a full sleigh with two reindeer flying across the sky plus presents falling between the snow. April Fools is its own chapter: the title flips upside down, the cursor turns into a rubber duck, buttons physically dodge your mouse once, and the date claims it’s March 32nd. I will not apologize for any of this. The site can also talk back now. There’s a guestbook with spam filtering (links, slurs, keyboard mashing, a honeypot field bots can’t resist filling in) and a contact form that pings me directly on Discord with a button to approve or reject what came in, so I don’t have to open the admin panel just to read a message. And since all of this now lives in one SQLite file, I added nightly backups: a compressed copy gets made automatically, encrypted, and shipped off to an offsite file host, so a dead SD card can’t just erase the whole site."}, {"post_id": 77596, "ts": "2026-10-07T16:05:14Z", "hours": 0.27, "text": "Hello my little Stardancers ✨ Devlog #3 for vensin.dev v2: the music page, and the boring stuff that makes the fun stuff work. The music page shows what I’m listening to right now, with the cover and a progress bar. But I wanted more than “now playing”, I wanted stats. So every 30 seconds the site asks Spotify what’s playing and writes it down, and that turns into hours listened this year, my most played tracks and artists, and a listening clock that shows at which hour I listen the most. Spoiler: it’s 10 PM, and it’s a lot of System Of A Down. The problem was that the site only counts from the day I turned it on. So I added an import for Spotify’s official data export, and now the yearly stats are real instead of “you listened to 4 songs in 2026”. And since all of this now lives in one SQLite file, I added nightly backups: a compressed copy gets made automatically, encrypted, and shipped off to an offsite file host, so a dead SD card can’t just erase the whole site.
Hello my little Stardancers ✨ Devlog #5 for vensin.dev v2: this one’s all about Mochi, my pixel cat, who has quietly become the most work-intensive feature on the whole site. Find it yourself 🫡
Ships:
I rebuilt my personal site completely from scratch (vensin.dev v2). To test it, sign the guestbook, poke Mochi in the sidebar, click into the music and anime pages to see the real live data, and try changing the season picker in the footer....

I set up the basic desktop interface (mostly just following the WebOS tutorial at this stage) I just got started on GravOS, a web OS about a fictional robot assistant named Grav. Grav is a character in SuperOrbital, which is another one of my stardance projects. Here, I made a simple background and a window that can open and close. I used the WebOS tutorial to learn how to use HTML and CSS, and I found it very helpful.
Added an app that lets you check out SuperOrbital (another game I made) The scrollbar is acting weird, and the text overflows, but I couldn’t figure out how to fix it.
Added a new window which tells you about SuperOrbital It took me a while to get the scrolling working on the windows, but I have now successfully added a second functional application which can show you one of my other projects. SuperOrbital is a game I made in Godot for stardance, and it’s basically the theme of this WebOS.
Added a space-themed parallaxing background and a todo list app Making the background was a little bit tricky. I originally made the shader for a different project, SuperOrbital. I used Godot’s movie maker to render the three different parallax layers to images, then I used css to make the images repeat and slide at different speeds. The todo list was really quite easy to make, it’s just a list of checkboxes and text input fields.

Added few functions for better use experience. App overlay is now triggered by clicking into the window (The Spotify iframe does not allow this so I might make a custom music player) or by opening new app. Added Spotify. Added resizable windows.
Apps now drag overlayed under windows and .75 opacity when pressed.

To be more Specific modern day cryptography uses a principle called Harvest now, decrypt later, which means that a very large number( key ) which is very computationally expensive to factorize and only factors of that number can break encryption. So considering the computational limitations of classical computers we just use it until a very fast computational machine comes up and messes our Encryptions. So in today’s time, Quantum computers have come and they can potentially break encryptions based on Shor’s algorithm , which theoretically uses period finding of a random number less than the key and raises it to power sequentially, finding if the modulus is 1. After that, the same pattern will repeat. After finding the period of repetition, we find the HCF of the random number raised to the power of period/2 ± 1 and the key . This will give us two factors, and only period finding is computationally hard for classical computers because of their brute-forcing / one-by-one checking or guessing method to find the period. Quantum computers, using the power of Quantum parallelism, find periods very fast. Also, suppose the key is even, or in the beginning itself we find out that the HCF of the key and the chosen random number is more than one (or in simple words, the random number is a factor of the key). In both cases, classical computers are enough to find the factors. In fact, due to this fact, even large numbers are not used in encryptions. Here, for the UI layer I used Streamlit . Also, I kept an option in the dropdown so users don’t accidentally enter a number that crashes their computer. On the right side, there is a wave that shows the repetition of the period for some timeline. In the next update I will also add a simulation on how we make encryptions that tolerate these quantum attacks. I will push it on GitHub so you can check this version."}]...

I tested the puzzle paths from start to finish to check the full escape sequence. I also launched a browser version with real-time 3D, swinging doors, and sound effects. It adds a seven-minute oxygen timer and a wire-dragging puzzle, linking back to the Figma prototype.
playtested omega-7 and realized you could beat it in like a minute, so i doubled the puzzles from 3 to 5. added a captain’s log cipher that spells out a reactor code in nato phonetic (bravo, alpha, charlie) that you have to decode, and a reactor switch panel where you flip three switches in that exact order, and one wrong flip resets the whole thing. figma has no variables or logic so the switch puzzle is really just 5 separate frames wired together, one per state, same hacky trick i used for the keypad. also squashed a bug in the three.js web version where the crate and fuse box puzzles were wired into the game logic but the 3d scenes never actually had the objects, so clicking them did nothing. added the missing meshes and checked every interactive object is clickable now. full flow is live now: quarters, cipher, airlock pin, reactor, pod wiring, launch. shipping it.
figma can’t play sound, so i leaned all the way into motion instead. added a shared smart-animate transition across every puzzle so the states actually morph into each other: clicking the keycard now flies it off the shelf and shrinks it right into your inventory slot, the pin dots fill in as you type, the reactor levers physically flip and the lights go green as you nail the sequence, and the wires snap into their ports on each correct connection. then i jumped over to the 3d web version and fixed the keycard being annoying to click - the mesh is tiny and the camera sway makes it drift, so i wrapped it in an invisible hit box about 2.5x the size that catches your click anywhere near it without changing how anything looks.

omega-7 is an escape room that runs entirely inside a figma prototype, you wake up on a dying space station with the oxygen draining and work through five puzzles to reach the escape pod, from a keycard to a cipher to the airlock pin to a reactor restart to rewiring the pod. the hard part is that figma has no code, no variables, no logic, and no sound, so faking “state” means building a separate frame for every single thing the player could be looking at (the keypad alone is five frames to fake a two digit pin), and i ended up generating all 48 frames and ~160 hotspots. i’m proud that it actually feels like a game and not a slideshow - smart-animate makes the keycard fly into your inventory and the reactor levers flip and glow as you solve it. to test it, play in present mode and click anything interactive: the pin is crew x deck from the whiteboard and roster, and the reactor order is hidden in the captain’s log in nato phonetic, so don’t rush past the clues....

I have implemented dark/light theme toggle, scroll animation, skill bars, project cards with filters, pop-up modals, and contact form with validation. The most challenging aspects of this project were to achieve all theme persistence, animation, and interaction effects without using any external libraries or frameworks. I am particularly proud of the clean design and rich micro-interactions which were achieved without any third-party libraries. You can view the implementation details of this project by interacting with a dark/light theme switcher, filtering the projects, checking out the contact form validation, and seeing how the responsive mobile menu works :)...
