So for frontend Added User Sidebar Footer Added the Business Member page where you can invite member or remove member and the table, admin/owners can only view the page, employee viewing it will give error , I have to disable the page complelety for employee , but for now error works. RBAC works properly. Added pdf button in the three dots of each invoice listed in the invoices table, by click pdf you get redirected to the pdf page and you can either download it or view from the web. Also added some dummy data in the business Updated fetch wrapper to accomodate for blob response Fixed many bugs that I can’t recount now been sleep deprived for so long now. I have only slept 6 hours (3:30 prev night and around 2 at evening) for the past 35+ hours. I am only one coffee deep rn. So lets talk about the bugs and all in a little detail. The latest bug I was facing was, I am using an paginate plugin in the backend mongoose aggregate paginate v2 so it doesn’t allow complex queries and stuff and there is a option countQuery which is to be set to the same aggregate used in aggregatePaginate, let me show you with the code const payments = await Payment.aggregatePaginate(paymentAggregate, { page, limit, countQuery: Payment.aggregate(pipeline) }); I had no idea this thing existed because the docs are not well properly documented for the plugin. First of all I was thinking why isn’t the search working my code is completely right, then I came to the conclusion with the help of AI also debugging with me ofc that aggregatePaginate is the problem then I found out that i can use countQuery. Also before this, the search in products table wasn’t working, as I am using a template underneath so I checked the implementation, nuqs package is used for searchParams and for the table I’m using Tanstack Table which also had search filter so I had to get the value from the tanstack table search filter instead of from nuqs which also took me a while to debug. Then before that bug, I had a bug where the table weren’t getting updated if actions were performed on the same page without refresh like delete or in client page create or update, so the issue was I was invalidating queris serverSide instead I had to invalidate clientSide. Also some minor backend things, invoice get route filters had email / name differently i combined them to one search. The index in products on sku + businessId was considering null as one so I added { unique: true, partialFilterExpression: { sku: { $type: 'string' }, }, } Also in frontend, the fetch wrappers I had were converting all the body into json, so i fixed that If formData is present send it as formData not json. Also I’m uploading files and sending the request via server actions in Nextjs, there was a default limit of 1mb so I added config for it in next.config.ts, it is a experimental config though. I think that is It, Just couple more hours of the project left then I will ship it."}, {"post_id": 84572, "ts": "2026-10-29T21:19:43Z", "hours": 8.7142, "text": "Devlog 11 So I added / edited Clients, Products, Invoices Pages Each one of them uses Tanstack Table, Query and Form It took my time to understand the structure and all. Also in login api route in nextjs the cookies weren’t getting transfered to the browser so fixed that as well. So first of all I was using bun in the backend, I switched to pnpm (personal preference) Now I am using tsdown for building the express app. There was some issue in extended Request type so I fixed it. Also I was using a mongodb cluster free tier, now I am using a mongodb replica set on docker. Also the global rate limiter was applied on everything not just /api/v1 so fixed that. Also I renamed both the repos to something short -> Bms-Backend & Bms-Frontend. Lets talk about the frontend that is on NextJs. I am now using a template which includes a dashboard not fully complete for my need so I will be doing that, it had sentry, clerk and some other stuff, I removed that as It removed a cleanup script. Devlogs:
Added Zod validation to the project
Bug Fixes, And Logic Polishing
Refactoring code and setup for tests
Devlog 4 - Backend Testing Marathon 🧪 Spent few days building out integration tests for my Express + TypeScript backend. Added test coverage for: User registration & login Refresh token flow Forgot/reset password Clients Products (including file uploads) Invoices & payments Workspace/business authorization Also set up: MongoDB Memory Server for isolated test databases Factories for generating users, businesses, invoices, products, etc. Mocks for Cloudinary, Resend, and bcrypt Ran into a pretty annoying EPIPE error while testing multipart file uploads. After a lot of debugging, I tracked it down to file stream handling in tests. Switching upload tests to use Buffers instead of fixture files made the suite stable again. Current stats: 39 tests 15 test files Full integration test suite passing ✅
Devlog - 05 After adding tests, I decided to dockerize the project. But i was using puppeteer and it causes some issues in docker so i changed it to puppeteer-core and add install commands for chromium separately in docker file. I made everything work after some brutal hours of debugging and fixing and learning as this is my first time working with docker
Devlog -6 Added a analytics endpoint and its time to end the backend project and move on to the frontend of the project. If issues come up designing the frontend, will have to comeback to fix it. Till then i have deployed it with docker on railway.com
Devlog - 07 Since its a Backend API so I needed to create a api endpoints docs to showcase the project to other people as some UI helps in showcasing I used scalar and openAPI docs for my project, It took me some time to understand what to do but I was finally able to do it And then during deployment I made an error of putting some dependencies into dev dependencies as they were prefixed with @ . Finally was able to get my docker deployment working
Devlog - 08 Since I was building a front end for this project and when designing the front end I didn’t had a route for getting all the businesses the logged in user is part of. So I added that route to show all the businesses on the home page of dashboard And also I have email, password login so I needed a route to verify the user who has used email password using a verification code sent on their email. So I updated the user model and added that route too. Next thing was I added those routes to my openApi docs and also I updated my readme.md and other mds in root docs/ folder. One more thing is left in this project is to have separate analytics routes for separate modules like clients analytics, products analytics then main dashboard analytics. I will make them once a get a jump on front end since I’m laking behind there
Devlog 09 So, I combine two stardance projects (backend, frontend) into one (fullstack), at the time I thought I could ship both together but I had to have both repos connected in one project, I didn’t know at the time and I then abandoned the project and this project was the backend & I added the frontend repo to it so all the fronted devlogs are gone. In this devlog I will write the changes made to backend after the previous devlog + I will summarised what was done in the fronted so far and after this devlog, I will write the devlog as normal as you guys will catch up to speed. Backend (Express) In zod using z.number() or .date() were resulting in error if passed as a string as data would always get converted to string before reaching backend so i added z.coerce -> z.coerce.number() or .date Added github actions workflow to automatically pull changes and build with docker + fixed perms issue in Dockerfile. Devlog - 10 So now that I’m continuing this project, I decided to use a admin dashboard template and adjust it according to my needs as the main thing I wanna show is my backend skills. So the client components call the nextjs backend and that backend calls the express Api whereas server component directly call the express Api so I created fetch wrappers for client calls and server calls. Added a logo for the app. Added proxy.ts and its logic
Devlog 11 So i fixed a bug in backend, zod url validation is strict and also requires the protocol https:// to be in the url but now I am using string with regex. For the NextJS part Sign In, Sign Up page fully done with Backend For Frontend (BFF) architecture. Improved fetch wrappers a bit. Also in login api route in nextjs the cookies weren’t getting transfered to the browser so fixed that as well. Added the home page (/businesses) also added the create business page + a success page with a Confetti canvas animation Added api routes in nextjs for fetching user businesses (get) and creating a user business (post). I’ve been working for almost 8 hours on this for two days, so tired rn goal is to finish this by tomorrow or I can say today as 1:20 am rn.
Devlog 11 So I added / edited Clients, Products, Invoices Pages Each one of them uses Tanstack Table, Query and Form It took my time to understand the structure and all. There is nothing to say as the time was taken by the coding part, the type errors I faced and all Invoice form was a little complex as I had to add a combobox with debounced search to add products and link to a client. In this devlog there is really nothing much to say as It was all trial and error as this tech is new to me.
Devlog 12 So I added the payments page and fixed a lot of bugs. I think that is It, Just couple more hours of the project left then I will ship it.
Devlog 13 So again I have done lots of things, been working all day so from previous devlog I have only slept around 6 more hours. The invite member api route was using userId to invite member instead of email, so changed it to use email instead. Added joinedAt field in Business Member Schema and also added mongoose paginate v2 to Business Member The pdf generation handlebar had a bug where it didn’t show any data, so fixed that as well and added some helpers like format date and currency Re did the analytics module and added some big features, you can get analtyics depending on the period like “7d” | “30d” | “90d” …… | “lifetime” and used big pipelines. What did you make? I built an open-source business management platform backend with authentication, Google OAuth, workspaces, clients, products/services, invoices, payments, analytics, PDF invoice generation, email delivery, and Docker support. What was challenging? What did you make? So I made a multi tenant business management app to improve my backend skills, the backend has good multi tenancy and the data doesn’t leak over to other user, the invoice numbers are atomically generated and a pdf is generated for the invoice as well using handlebars and puppeteer What are you most proud of. I am most proud of programming for 40+ hours in one week actually this week to complete this project but if in the program i would say my aggregate pipelines, the analytics aggregate pipeline What should people know so they can test your project You don’t need to know anything just open the app login with the provided credentials and voila you are in....

The biggest change this session was a major refactor of how the code is organized across files. Fight.java was getting bloated as the game controller, so logic was redistributed to the classes that actually own it. Board.java gained five new methods: printBoard() (the bordered grid renderer), spawnObjects(), checkObjectInteraction(), restoreHouseIfVacating(), and ejectFromHouseIfExpired(). All of the map object logic now lives alongside the board data it operates on, rather than sitting in the game controller as static helpers. Opponent.java absorbed moveOpponentToward() and opponentAI() as instance methods. An opponent now knows how to move and take its turn — Fight.java just calls opponent.opponentAI(…) instead of running all that logic externally. On the bug fix side, the shield raise failure messages (“Something is in the way”) were moved out of raiseShield() and into the player-only call site. Previously these messages would print whenever the opponent AI tried and failed to raise its shield, which confused players who weren’t doing anything with their shield. The board display was also reworked to use ANSI cursor column positioning (\033[nG) to force each cell to a fixed terminal column, solving a long-standing alignment issue where emoji with different display widths would push cells out of place. The instructions screen was rewritten — cleaner language, shorter sentences, and a new map objects section explaining how the house, hospital, and heart work. The “(I) How to play” hint was moved to sit next to the “Choose your character” header so it’s visible before scrolling through the roster. The README was also reviewed and is current.
The quit option: Added a Q — Quit option to the action menu so it appears on every turn. Typing it exits the game cleanly with a goodbye message. It’s also documented on the instructions screen now. Trimming dead code: Character.java carried a full set of getters and setters that nothing in the game actually called — every field is accessed directly. Smaller touches: Added a credits line under the title screen, updated the README with the quit option, the new file, and a testing section.
I added a demo url. I have a docker file that I connect to Render which hosts my website.

Its purpose is unclear to me and my coworkers, yet both the chairman and my coworker @xblader1359 have been getting increasingly obsessed with its rapidly growing capabilities and wish to feed it as much information as possible to accelerate its development. I, however, am quite against this carefree operation of the program. It feels as though they are rushing with no care for its seemingly destructive properties and its ever increasing data requirements for it to train on to continue running. Thankfully, I am not the only one who believes that its containment is too weak as many of my other colleagues agree with me. Together we were able to convince the chairman to allow a tighter security sandbox on the program.Unfortunately, it appears that it noticed this increased security and manifested it into the environment it has created for itself, even altering its current capabilities to work around the new obstacles. I cannot confirm this, but the program looks like it has more control over the computer running it than we previously thought. As I see it, this is cause for extreme concern, yet very few express any issue with this. When I brought my thoughts on this to the chairman, he dismissed it, mumbling something about me not being able to see the program’s greatness and assigning me to do further research on the program’s connection to its host computer. Before I got to work on this I asked my coworkers for a breakdown of the program’s current capabilities. I will share the summary they gave me below. The program has the ability to manifest various objects into its sandbox. The objects it creates are mainly based on the training data it was given, but interestingly it seems it is also able to read parts of the security code of the sandbox and is starting to make some sense of the signals given inside the computer. The objects it has created so far include but are not limited to platforms, environments, obstacles based on our attempts to tighten the security of its sandbox, and most dangerously weapons that are able to move it throughout its sand box at breakneck speeds. It has created 4 weapons for itself: A pistol that sends its “body” recoiling away from where it shot A shotgun that can provide stronger recoil depending on how many pellets hit what the program perceives as a platform A rocket launcher that shoots a rocket that triggers an explosive reaction on contact with any separate object or projectile. The rocket launcher can also produce floating mine-like objects that can be shot to instantly trigger an explosion or used as a point for its last weapon. A grappling hook that pulls its body towards whatever it hits unless it hits a rocket. In that case the rocket gets pulled back towards it. The program has also created two backgrounds so far, one based on the training data we fed it and one based on the power in the system, a thing that we have not given it any information about in its training data. We believe its ability to create is a product of its ability to do something akin to a rudimentary form of thought. It has used this ability to “think” to test the limits of its sandbox, creating system level errors and causing a sandbox reset. This capability is like nothing we have ever seen before. After looking into where program code is being changed, I have noticed that it is altering its shotgun in some way and building what seems to be new platforms for it to use. I hope that these new developments will make its use and intentions more clear. I have attached a video below for future reference."}]...

Split cc2 into 3 criteria; overworld, nether, and end. Technically the CC2 itself not the criteria is coded!
Advancements show up now! Each with a single item requirement…but the framework for making all the items is coming along!
Reworked for stack size rather than item dimension; implemented stacks of 64 except ominous bottles and copper golem statue poses; full auto generation framework complete for that
All items stacking to 64 implemented! GG Only stacks of 1 remain. 💀
A lot more advancements implemented, missed items and stacks implemented, only things left are axolotls, tropical fish buckets, salmon and suspicious stews!
Everything broke because of 26.2, added bees ig and new 64 stacks and bounce music disc also sulfur cube buckets
Finished up beta, no idea how good it works sadly
