Overview: N Gram Model is a fundamental model in Natural Language Processing used to predict next word in a given sequence. It relies on markov’s assumption that the probability estimate of a word relies on it’s immediate preceding words rather than the whole text/sentence. What I have made uptill now: I have made the first module required for this project which is a Tokenizer, a tokenizer takes a text corpus and separately stores each word or token in a lookup table. Future Direction: The core mechanism of N gram models, which is probability estimates for each n word sequence using frequency found in the corpus. Further, I would want to add smoothing to these probability estimates and add model evaluating metrics like perplexity.
Made NGram class that can count occurences of the specified n grams in the corpus. Also, the tokenizer now has another module to map unique tokens to ints for memory efficiency. Now, I shall move onto estimating probabilities of each token given a context window.
Made module for estimating probabilities of words given a context window using MLE (Maximum Likelihood Estimation). Fixed the mapping of tokens back to strings, by using temporary dynamically allocated array and copying it into vector.
Implemented probability estimates of each word using the formula: Counts of gram sequence in corpus/ Counts of context window sequence in corpus Improved the I/O logic a bit aswell, the debug statements are there but commented.
Implemented Laplace Smoothing in the model Smoothing refers to generalization of n gram model to texts they haven’t seen before. Laplace smoothing (also known as add-one smoothing) is the simplest type of smoothing that avoids the probability estimates to reach zero when handling unseen token or sequences. It is quite easy to implement this in code, just add one in the numerator of probability formula and add vocabulary size in the denominator.
Implemented Model Evaluation with Perplexity Perplexity (a metric borrowed from information theory) acts a summarized evaluation metric for your model, that intuitively evaluates how much your model branches off in generating texts. Mathematically, it’s a geometric mean of the inverse probabilities as calculated by the model, normalized by sequence length. For seen texts, my model achieved a perplexity around 20-30, and for unseen texts it varied alot due to random picking of tokens in that case.
Progress Better CLI interface Wrote Readme for shipping. Bug fixes (unigram model input vectors processing without checks, etc).
Final touches Added a bigger corpus i.e. wikitext2 by salesforce AI Research. Credited corpus and linked associated license. Wrote a python script to read the parquet format corpus and turn it into .txt format. Some minor changes in code.
Changes Made the I/O interface more colourful Pushed the binary to repo, and attached it with the release Some bug fixes

The dashboard is live and accessible to anyone at https://nasa-dashboard-0xkrxn.streamlit.app , showcasing real asteroid data with interactive visualizations and comprehensive analysis tools. What Makes This Special The dashboard fetches live data directly from NASA’s Near-Earth Object API, processes it through a sophisticated Pandas pipeline, and displays it through a professional Streamlit interface. Users can explore real asteroids approaching Earth, view hazard classifications, and interact with beautiful Plotly visualizations. The application handles over 1000+ lines of production-quality Python code organized across multiple specialized modules for data fetching, processing, and visualization. Technical Architecture The backend uses Python with the requests library to fetch real NASA data. Raw JSON responses are processed through comprehensive Pandas DataFrames that extract, clean, and transform asteroid information. Custom hazard classification algorithms categorize asteroids as HAZARDOUS (less than 50,000 km), MONITOR (50,000-100,000 km), or SAFE (greater than 100,000 km). The frontend is built with Streamlit, featuring a responsive dashboard with interactive Plotly charts, filterable data tables, and real-time metric displays. Key Features The dashboard displays real-time key metrics including total asteroid count, hazard classification breakdown, closest approach distance, and maximum relative velocity. An intelligent hazard alert system detects potentially dangerous asteroids and presents detailed information in an accessible table format. Four interactive visualizations show size distribution histograms, hazard level pie charts, distance versus speed scatter plots with bubble sizing, and daily approach timelines. Users can filter data by hazard level and sort by distance, speed, or diameter, making data exploration intuitive and comprehensive. Development Challenges Creating this project involved solving complex problems. API key security required implementing .gitignore for local development and Streamlit Secrets for cloud deployment. Real NASA data processing required building robust error handling for nested JSON structures and missing values. Cloud deployment revealed differences between local and cloud environments, necessitating configuration updates. Data visualization required choosing appropriate tools—Matplotlib for static charts and Plotly for interactive exploration. Throughout development, I learned professional security practices, proper error handling, and modern deployment strategies. Learning Outcomes This project taught me full-stack data science skills including API integration, JSON parsing, data cleaning and transformation, statistical analysis, multiple visualization frameworks, web development with Streamlit, Git version control, GitHub collaboration, cloud deployment, and security best practices. Each component reinforced important software engineering principles about modularity, documentation, and professional code organization. Deployment and Impact The application is deployed on Streamlit Cloud, running 24/7 with live data updates. GitHub hosts the complete source code with professional documentation, comprehensive README file, and proper security configuration through .gitignore. The project successfully demonstrates production-ready code that people can use immediately without installation, making space data accessible and engaging.", "repo": "https://github.com/0xkrxn/nasa-dashboard", "demo": "https://nasa-dashboard-0xkrxn.streamlit.app/"}]...

An intelligent hazard alert system detects potentially dangerous asteroids and presents detailed information in an accessible table format. Four interactive visualizations show size distribution histograms, hazard level pie charts, distance versus speed scatter plots with bubble sizing, and daily approach timelines. Users can filter data by hazard level and sort by distance, speed, or diameter, making data exploration intuitive and comprehensive. Development Challenges Creating this project involved solving complex problems. API key security required implementing .gitignore for local development and Streamlit Secrets for cloud deployment. Real NASA data processing required building robust error handling for nested JSON structures and missing values. Cloud deployment revealed differences between local and cloud environments, necessitating configuration updates. Data visualization required choosing appropriate tools—Matplotlib for static charts and Plotly for interactive exploration. Throughout development, I learned professional security practices, proper error handling, and modern deployment strategies. Learning Outcomes This project taught me full-stack data science skills including API integration, JSON parsing, data cleaning and transformation, statistical analysis, multiple visualization frameworks, web development with Streamlit, Git version control, GitHub collaboration, cloud deployment, and security best practices. Each component reinforced important software engineering principles about modularity, documentation, and professional code organization. Deployment and Impact The application is deployed on Streamlit Cloud, running 24/7 with live data updates. GitHub hosts the complete source code with professional documentation, comprehensive README file, and proper security configuration through .gitignore. The project successfully demonstrates production-ready code that people can use immediately without installation, making space data accessible and engaging....

Devlogs:
I added a star ingot that will be used to make tools and armour when I find out how.
Added a star block.
I added star ore, star fragments, and a star. The plan it to make it so that star ore drops star fragments which can craft a star. The star can then be smelted down into a star ingot.
Added custom creative tabs for the star stuff.
Added custom recipes so you can now smelt and craft some stuff.
Made it so that blocks can drop when mined and require the right tool.
Added a star wand that can turn gold into the star block. For now turning it into gold is a placeholder and will be changed later.
Changed it so that using the star wand on oak logs turns them into star logs instead of having gold blocks turn into star blocks....

If you complete it, you get your cash right back, but if you bust the limit, the app automatically detects it using your actual app usage and hands the money over to your parents. I changed the name to LockIn because stash pay looked like some gambling app. I set up Clerk and auth basics, then added Supabase tables for families, join codes, requests and quests, along with onboarding for roles and family members.Building android builds was hectic. My phone could not connect to my development server, ngrok and LAN configurations failed, and EAS failed because of missing modules and misaligned Android configuration. Pre-building the Android app always resets manual tweaks, so I had to write my manual edits every time. I finally committed everything to GitHub and succeeded after two days. I made the stakes and records pages, but the records page had to deal with background apps and the problem of calculating actual foreground time. We wrote the APIs and had endpoints for role selecting, adding to family, joining families, code generation, etc. There were also privacy concerns around storing screen time in the database. There was a lot of difference in what my co-developer made for the backend and what I was wanting for the frontend. We consolidated six inconsistent statuses into five: active, pending, completed, failed, rejected. For screen time, instead of showing a description it will show you a rule builder, sent as JSON data and parsed on the frontend. The native module now checks every 15 minutes, on state change, or when the app comes to the foreground, and updates the Supabase entry for that day. The sync logic can backtrack days, store basic heartbeat/activity and trigger status updates. I centralized all stake evaluation logic into one file. It now checks screen time, persists the data into the DB, triggers failure or completion, and updates the screens after updating Supabase. The biggest problems were efficiency and privacy. The payment implementation sidesteps the entire payment-aggregator/licensing question as an “honor-system fallback”. Once you fail the stake you get a link for a charity so you can pay to them and then mark as completed. My app is ready end to end and it works. For the last design revamp, I replaced Inter / JetBrains Mono / Pixelify Sans with Geist, Geist Mono and Space Grotesk. The primary orange changed from #BD580F to #F5893C, and I switched to a material design based color palette. I added a landing page for unauthenticated users and new navigation with home, wallet and settings."}]...
