cool stuff comming
Turning this into a game? I’ve been making a few models and animations in Blender and Scratch to turn this into a cool game. Like maybe an exploration game with LORE!!! So here is the character I’ve been designing. Also, I decided to call the game Orbitrack.
Ok ive ditched the idea of making this a game buut here is the complete info of the project so far. this Interactive 3D map of the lunar south polar region for Artemis III planning, built with Three.js.Features Terrain (LOLA / GRAIL) — 256×256 polar stereographic grid (~560 km across) synthesized from LOLA DEM crater profiles and GRAIL Bouguer anomaly patterns Ice & PSRs — Permanently shadowed region proxy from depth and crater geometry (Diviner / LOLA PSR catalog behavior) Lighting — Adjustable sun azimuth; illumination from lunar obliquity (~1.5°) and local slope Landing zones — Nine NASA Artemis III candidate regions (Oct 2024) with labels and footprint rings This demo embeds synthesized elevation (not full-resolution LOLA tiles) so it runs offline Sources: NASA Artemis III landing region update (Oct 2024) LRO LOLA, Diviner, LROC GRAIL gravity models GIS-MCDM landing site study (Nobile Rim 2 / DM2)...

been working on adding physical practice tests to the website, mainly by importing the old paper SAT practice tests so they’re easier to use inside 1600.now. the idea is to make paper practice feel less disconnected from everything else. instead of downloading a pdf, taking the test, and then having your work live somewhere separate, these tests can start becoming part of the same system as the rest of your studying. it’s a pretty big import job, but once it’s in, you’ll be able to use older official-style practice in a cleaner way and keep more of your progress in one place.
designing a practice test results viewer in bluebook style :) as a person who despises UI design, recreating an interface effectively 1/1 is much more annoying than i expected
working hard or hardly working? couldn’t tell ya but im improving the stats page :)
been working on replacing the old homescreen iframes with fully built-in windows across the home page. iframes worked fine at first, but they started to feel slow, especially when actually interacting with them and the other animations i was having a lot of issues w/ all of the homescreen animations and loading 3 iframes at once the image attached is actually a full recreation of the bank just w/o all the other questions and some features just for the home page
been working on improving the search feature so finding old questions is actually less painful. one issue i ran into is that a lot of questions use KaTeX for the math, so even if something looks like normal text on the page, it’s not always stored in a way that’s easy to search. stuff like fractions, exponents, equations, etc. can be weird because the plain text version and the rendered math version don’t always match up.
just spent a solid 3 hours of my life trying to design a vertical carousel for the home screen and eventually ended up with so many bugs that i just chose to use a static image 💔💔💔💔
working on an interactive home screen feature where there’s a little filters section, and the user can control it ANDDD there’s an existing cursor that moves around and demos. currently facing issues with the demo cursor just leaving though…
FINALLY got the filter animation to actually work. still buggy in a few places (the time spent slider has some issues) but overall looks pretty cool :)
i’ve been cooking up some new features all day… literally all day… anyways now that school is out, i have so much more time to spend, so i added these features: practice set creator- ai scans the bank and detect and flags certain similar questions for practice improved vocab- actually made the vocab sections track and record progress, while recording the states of each individual term (this took a LOT of time to figure out the logic for) (ignore the bad video quality)
the daily question i always ask myself… work on something useful … or spend wayyyy too long on some random feature anyways today i did the latter: i built a cool animation for the homescreen that animates a variety of different graphs, with a natural drawing animation and background glow the hardest part (took me 2-3 hours just to build) was making a feature where the lines dim when behind text / buttons on the ui, as i didn’t want the brightly-colored graphs obscuring visibility
it’s been a while since i’ve posted a devlog, well anyways, let me update you all on what’s been going on. one of the more interesting things to talk about, i made a tutorial feature, and i spent excessive hours making all of the animations and page transitions as smooth as possible also, i actually setup (fixed) the report question pipeline in firebase, as my lack of any data entry made me a tad bit suspicious anyways, the majority of the time was optimizing the speed and performance of the website. one of my main goals was to make free sat prep accessible to everyone, and animations that can crash chromebooks don’t exactly achieve that goal anyways, like always, comment any features you want to see / bugs you want to see fixed / criticism / praise (much appreciated)...

Developments : Input Validation Last time I said the script was highly vulnerable to unhandled inputs commas, empty enters, random letters, all of it caused instant crashes. That’s fixed now. Hello, I built FuzzBuzz which other than being a glorified LeetCode easy question with a goofy name is a dynamic loop engine that prompts the user to define their own number ranges and constraints right in the terminal, then runs a substitution loop over those numbers. Hello, it’s been a while since my last devlog but the FuzzBuzz Engine has been getting steady updates, so here is everything that changed. Developments : Input Validation Last time I said the script was highly vulnerable to unhandled inputs commas, empty enters, random letters, all of it caused instant crashes. That’s fixed now. Every number input is wrapped in a while True + try/except ValueError loop, so instead of the program dying it just tells you to enter an integer and asks again, forever, until cooperation. I also added range validation on the print limits, so you can’t tell it to start printing from a number that isn’t even in your range. The program refuses. New: Data Visualization The counter engine from last time was just sitting there, so I thought I would make use of it. At the end of the run the program prints an ASCII bar chart of how many times FuzzBuzz, Fuzz, Buzz, and regular numbers showed up, built out of █ characters right in the terminal (inspired by terminal UIs like the one for Claude Code). The bars are scaled so large ranges stay readable. Each bar’s width is normalized against the most frequent category: bar_width = (count / max_count) × max_width with max_width capped at 25 characters. The biggest category always gets the full bar and everything else is proportional to it. New: Statistics Report Below the chart there is now a stats report showing each category as a percentage of the total numbers processed, formatted to two decimal places and aligned into columns with f-strings. Next Steps Letting the user choose what numbers Fuzz and Buzz are multiples of (custom divisors instead of the hardcoded 3 and 5), giving the user control over whether the bar chart prints and its max width, and testing for remaining edge cases. Well that’s all from me, Kamil

I made a “Dynamic FuzzBuzz Engine” as a personal practice project to get more comfortable with Python logic, loops, terminal inputs, and Git workflows. The program takes user terminal inputs to set a custom starting/ending range for a loop, alongside custom print constraints to control exactly which numbers show up on the screen. It loops through the numbers and prints:...

I’ve been working on my game for a little bit now and I finally have the first level completely done with enemies that respawn you platforms to jump on and a finish that sends you to the next level!
I have now finished the second level wasn’t nearly as hard as the first with all the coding involved
I have been coding for a while now most of the almost 6 hours I’m logging now have been spent on coding a basic level select screen but now that I’m done with that I can start working on making levels 4-10 of my game then I’m done and can start a new project!
I’ve been working for a while now and have all my levels up to level 6 finished I tried really hard to post a play testing video but it just wouldn’t work so here is a pic of level 6.
I have been working on my game for a little bit now and I can finally say I finished I love what I have created now I just need to attach it to GitHub and then I can start a new project!
Ships:
I made a simple 2D platformer with enemies and collectibles, I found making the code for the level select menu as my biggest challenge. To anyone playing my game I did play test every single level all of them are possible and the last level’s flag is not broken the only way to beat the game is the secret exit:)...

Devlogs:
Starting the basic foundation of the web app, I plan on using only JavaScript and HTML5’s canvas to draw all the objects, using data from celestrack and NASA horizons to find all the data I need. Screenshot is just of a test of the basic 3d drawing function with axis visible. Because it is just night sky objects no fancy 3d engine will be needed.
Added orbit calculations to the planetarium web app so I can start adding other objects in the display. A few more functions will need to be implemented but very soon I should be able to start plugging in data.
I added mouse controls, Kepler’s 2nd law, and a grid that will come in handy for identifying places in the sky. Next I will continue to add features for adding celestial bodies and different spacecraft.
Added functionality for objects to orbit other objects. Progress is coming along nicely so far, all orbits of type e<1 are displayable and can be centered around any object. The next steps I plan on taking are plugging in the values for our actual solar system and switching camera controls to be centered on planets, then adding time control and other UI.
Added the main 8 planets in the solar system and a time control feature. You can now speed up, slow down, or reverse time to see the solar system on different dates, or reset to the current time. You can also scroll through the list of planets and watch from their perspective. As far as I can tell I succeeded in making the planets positions accurate (or at least enough for my project).
You can now click on objects to select them. Orbits now also accurately precess. The moon’s orbit is now close enough to reality to predict solar eclipses, which is accurate enough for this project. All the inner rocky planet’s procession has been implemented as well according to NASA horizon’s approximation. They should now be reasonably accurate a few hundred yrs into the future. Next steps will be adding more objects like Jovian moons and spacecraft, as well as improving graphics.
Finally added a way to read separate files into the web app. Objects are now stored in json files with all their orbital parameters and physical characteristics. Next steps for this project will be to start adding detail on the planets and reference frame transformations from your local position to space.
Added TLE support https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Two-line_element_set (A common file format for earth orbit satellites). I’ve realized that I might have to switch to using a graphics api like webgl to improve the graphics from here, but for now I will focus on functionality. Better graphics should not matter at the moment from a ground level perspective.
Added grid based on your location, and stars from the Henry Draper (HD) catalogue. https://in-the-sky.org/data/catalogue.php?cat=HD&const=1&sort=1&view=1&page=1 Unfortunately now the framerate has dropped a lot, so I’ll need to figure out how to handle all the objects separately and only update the planets. Until then that’s enough programming for me today.
Added ground perspective and fixed stars Added a feature where you can select a position on the earth and view from there. You do have to manually add your latitude and longitude but eventually you will be able to select from a map or search for a specific city. (The demo shows London UK’s position so I don’t reveal my own) I also fixed the lag from the stars that was making the site slow, now it can display 3500 stars and all the other objects just fine.
Added continent outlines and object occlusion After spending way too much time trying to figure out webgl and three.js I decided that it was not worth the extra effort for slightly better graphics. Running out of time, I decided to stick to the system that I already had and decided to just draw the coastlines so you can make out the earths orientation better. Right now I have only added N&S America, Antarctica, and Australia. Ill add the rest later but for now this is what I got. Running out of time to ship this so I’m going to add a location selector and call this good.
Finished all the continents, added saturns rings and and Mars and Jupiter’s moons. I have made decent progress, most of my time was spent debugging and optimizing since I’m only using the cpu to render everything. I also added more camera controls so that when you press (c) you can tilt the camera to match the planets axis tilt, or rotate along with it. The final parts I need to add at this point is a menu where you can choose your location and a information panel for the object that you select.
Final devlog for now, finished map view and added camera information I have added camera controls where you can change to view a planet from its own axis or rotation by pressing (c) to cycle through modes, and you can track objects by pressing (t). Also added more information on the ground view, light time calculation and finally the map view where once opened you can change your position by clicking on it.
Fixed some bugs that came up after launch Added text that when hovered shows controlls (most asked for feature) Fixed(mostly) the constant pop up bug, you may need to refresh the page once but it should be mostly gone by now
Bug fixes, and More Objects! Added the moons of Uranus, and Neptune. Yet to add pluto because each object has so much data for its orbit and physical characteristics. I also added a new text window when you select an object to view different facts about said object. Bug fixes: Fixed the bug that you would get stuck in planets after switching to them Fixed the bug where you could not click on an object that was infront of another Fixed most the bugs that have to do with the ground view I will probably end up doing one more devlog after this before I ship again. The things I wish to add are more information on the display and to make it easier to select your location.
Ships:
I made a web app that lets you explore the positions of the planets in the solar system in real time. Change time with (< > /) keys to view the solar system in the past or future. Change your camera with the (c) key to view objects from their own orientation as they rotate around each other. Zoom out and see the positions of stars in our neighborhood. Plug in your home location on the map and you can view your own current night sky. Track the space station in low Earth orbit, and watch when it appears overhead....

Day 1 of StudentOS. I am basing this off of the WebOS 1 mission. My OS is designed for College/High School Students. This OS changes the things in the Android OS and iOS by limiting distractions and defaulting settings to the needs of the student. Various other default apps will be added like a planner and a study bot to make resources. So far, I have made a Welcome Screen Div and OS wallpaper background.
Day 2: I have made two unusable app icons and edited some styling to my website. I put all css code and js code in seperate files and things so far are turning out good.
Day 3: I made a window for my todo list and calculator app. I have not added functionality yet, but am trying to get the app selection functionality working first.
Day 4: Started Working on the Calculator App. I am following a tutorial for this and have created the display window and calculator buttons(that have not been styled yet). Please leave any feedback you have.
Day 5: Finished Calculator App. This app is designed for students. It has basic operations(+, -, /, *) as well as complex operations, like square roots, exponents, and trig functions.
Day 6: Finish ToDo List App. Below is a demo showing the apps functionality. Hope to add more apps soon.
Day 7: Notes App added! You can now make savable notes and jot down any ideas you have.
Day 8: Started the Quiz App on StudentOS. So far, I have made an icon and window for the app. I also cleaned up the code in my html, css, and javascript files so that users can read it.
Day 9: Made buttons for each quiz set. Hope to make the actual quizzes soon and add a new feature. Almost about to be published.
Day 10: Made progress on the Quiz App. The next step is to add questions for ela, science, ss, and spanish subjects and to add a settings app, a new feature that wasn’t mentioned in the guide.
Day 11: Succsessfully finished the quiz app with questions for five different subjects: math, science, ela, spanish, and ss. Also made an add button feature to the todo list app( based on feedback from friends/family) for improved UI.
Day 12: I started working on the Settings App for this project. I also made an icon and movable div for the app. My goal to finish this project is by around the end of this upcoming Wednesday
