Writing native code directly with the modern google-genai and Pinecone Python SDKs allowed me to bypass bulky orchestrator frameworks, resulting in a lightweight, zero-local-storage pipeline that uses text-embedding-004 and gemini-1.5-flash. Navigating this build came with distinct engineering challenges, particularly resolving rigid SDK endpoint routing mismatches and optimizing a vector dimensionality gap by implementing types.EmbedContentConfig to dynamically truncate embedding outputs down to 768 dimensions to match the Pinecone serverless index. I am incredibly proud of how fast, clean, and cost-effective this standalone architecture turned out, as well as the strict system prompt guardrails that prevent hallucinations by defaulting to a clean fallback response whenever a query falls outside the uploaded context. To thoroughly test the live application, users simply need to verify their API keys, paste a technical text block into the ingestion sidebar to index the cloud vectors, and then run a mix of specific domain questions and out-of-domain prompts to observe the system’s precise retrieval performance and defensive constraints.", "repo": "https://github.com/RevanK10/Cloud-RAG-Portfolio", "demo": "https://fqzwezlqbnjuuardqco54c.streamlit.app/"}]...

When the file is deleted, history and its related context will also be deleted. The QA part of the algorithm now answers more cleanly and provides follow-up questions as well. Moreover, the chat also shows its sources, the document’s text, when answering a question. Coming to backend of the algorithm, I remade it as well. I first went to an OpenRouter API, which I had to fix for a long time as the file was not being converted to text properly, so the answers generated by the model were not correct. I built the frontend and backend of this RAG pipeline using Python, GoogleGenAI, and Pinecone
Finished backend and frontend connection.
Added an OCR feature to allow handwritten text to be used. I also updated the user-query feature by allowing the user to select their own settings for the RAG pipeline. Moreover, I was able to allow the user to upload files and improved the UI to make it look better.
For this project, I scrapped the UI and remade it. The base setup is still there. The sidebar and the main content area is still present, but I removed the ability to index and clear history. In the new UI, the sidebar allows the user to upload files, and the UI will show how many sections were indexed automatically. Then, I switched back to use a free Gemini Model for the answer generation and used a local embedding model to save tokens.
Ships:
For this project, I engineered a containerized, cloud-native Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) assistant deployed on Hugging Face Spaces that enables users to securely upload documentation and query it in real time through a Streamlit chat interface. To thoroughly test the live application, users simply need to verify their API keys, paste a technical text block into the ingestion sidebar to index the cloud vectors, and then run a mix of specific domain questions and out-of-domain prompts to observe the system’s precise retrieval performance and defensive constraints....

Nothing that interesting yet. I’ve been learning a lot though! And I built my own custom item that acts as a scaffolding tool which takes blocks from your inventory and builds upwards in a tower when interacted with.
VIBRANITE MINECRAFT MOD: Devlog 1 What’s New: I added the new Vibranite Crystal into the game. It doesn’t have much functionality for now, but I’m planning for it to be a custom ore/armor type that can only be found generating in the Deep Dark biome. I am also planning on adding some custom functionality for these vibranite crystal items. They’ll fit the “vibration/echo” theme of the deep dark, as it matches the theme of the Warden mob that lives there. What’s Next: The next step is to start creating the Vibranite crystal ores themselves, and then to start working on the worldgen so that they can generate naturally.
VIBRANITE MINECRAFT MOD: Devlog 2 What’s New: I added 4 new blocks. The Vibranite Block, Raw Vibranite Block, Vibranite Ore, and Vibranite Deepslate ore. In addition, I set up the loot tables for each block as well as the crafting/smelting recipes. I also set up worldgen so that the ores spawn naturally underground. The most difficult part of today was DEFINITELY figuring out the worldgen. I had many issues with that, but I was able to reference Youtube tutorials and other mods online in order to grasp the concept. What’s Next: Now that the ores spawn naturally underground, the next step is to start creating the armor and tools for the mod!
VIBRANITE MINECRAFT MOD: Devlog 3 What’s New: I added new tools and armor! This took a lot of time as I also had to make textures for each and every one of the tools as well as the armor itself. Setting up all the tools was definitely somewhat tedious. The most difficult part of today was likely the fact that I kept making silly mistakes when setting up the tools, as the process was a bit tedious. Everything is working great now though! The textures of the armor render properly and everything is working as expected.
Final Devlog: No changes to the code. The project and Github has been updated with the new Modrinth link

I built one of my first minecraft mods! It adds a new type of crystal: Vibranite. Once mined and smelted, it can be used to make new types of tools, weapons, and armor! I already had a TINY bit of experience making minecraft mods in the past, but this was still quite a challenge for me as I learned the process of instantiating items, creating datagen JSON files for blocks, and assigning properties to items. I believe the hardest part of the project for me was trying to figure out how to make the ores naturally spawn....
