Devlog 1 — Building the HTML Structure Today I started working on my TaskForge project. I created the index.html file and made the basic structure of my study planner. I added a header, navigation buttons, a home section, task section, study timer section, and subjects section. I also added places for showing total tasks, completed tasks, pending tasks, and progress. For the task section, I added a form where a user can enter a task name, choose a subject, and select a date. I also added the basic timer buttons and subject cards. The page is not fully functional yet because I still need to add CSS and JavaScript. My main goal in this step was to create a good HTML structure that I can build on in the next files. File completed: index.html ✅
Devlog 2 — Designing the TaskForge Interface Today I worked on style.css and started designing the interface of TaskForge. I added a simple color theme, cards, buttons, navigation styling and a dashboard layout. I also added responsive CSS so the project can adjust to smaller screens. I wanted the website to look attractive but still keep it simple and realistic for a student project. I tested the page in the browser and checked the main sections, task area, timer and subject cards. The JavaScript functionality will be added in the next steps. File completed: style.css ✅
Devlog 3 — Building the Main JavaScript Today I worked on the js/script.js file of my TaskForge study planner. Testing I tested the navigation buttons and checked that the current date appears correctly. I also checked the browser console to make sure the script loads without errors. file 3 - script.js completed!
Devlog 4 — Building the TaskForge Today I worked on the js/tasks.js file of my TaskForge study planner. This was a bigger part of the project because I wanted TaskForge to actually manage my study tasks instead of just displaying the website. What I added Added a system for creating new study tasks. This was one of the most useful parts of the project so far because TaskForge is starting to feel like a real study planner. Next, I will work on js/timer.js and build the study focus timer.
Devlog 5 — Building the Study Timer Today I worked on the js/timer.js file of my TaskForge study planner. I wanted to add a simple timer that I could actually use while studying. What I added Added a 25-minute study timer. Added a 5-minute short break. Added a 15-minute long break. Added Start, Pause, and Reset buttons. Added a countdown that updates every second. In summary it was weird, but i got a lot of things done and turns out …. webOS is an OS on the web! Mind. Blown. ….. yeah it should have been pretty obvious to me but honestly, I did not know stuff about HTML, so can’t blame me. I also removed a lot of my info and images sadly , because i wanted it to look like an actual OS, not some broke high schoolers beginner html page (although it might still look like that). I added a Draggable Window (I was the happiest I had been in days) I added a top bar, which was simple enough and also a part of my OS shows the date and the time. And that is it for now. Hopefully I work on this again tomorrow. !!!!NEW PROJECT ALERT!!!! I am also starting a new project which is a game which is basically the genre of battle/rpg which might be a little toned down from popular media. It follows the story of 5 AI that basically fight each other for several cosmic cycles until they realize a greater truth and they fight to liberate their world from the hierarchy of dictators that command the laws of reality. I would really appreciate it if you can give some ideas of how to start this project and what should I use. If you do help, you can get listed as a contributor :D (CAN SOMEONE HELP ME WITH THE MARKDOWN, IT IS FREAKING ANNOYING)"}, {"post_id": 28599, "ts": "2026-07-14T22:55:07Z", "hours": 0.6975, "text": "Devlog Of the “Aqib OS” webOS Day 1 Part 1: Hello, my friends. Devlog Of the “Aqib OS” webOS Day 1 Part 1: Hello, my friends. My name is Aqib and this is my first actual YSWS that i am shipping. It is a mission cause I am genuinely hopeless at most code and coding languages to an extent.(lol). anyways, this is just a beginner level website telling you all about me. features: a list, headings, images and nothing beyond that! Feel free to reach out if you have ANY tips for projects!
Day 2 of aqibOS : This day has been completely weird, the errors kept on coming (mainly in JS), the HTML was not “HTML-ing”. If you do help, you can get listed as a contributor :D (CAN SOMEONE HELP ME WITH THE MARKDOWN, IT IS FREAKING ANNOYING)...
