Qol GUI: Beforehand, there was nowhere to know if your cool-downs for your moves were on or not, to fix that I added a GUI to display if they were off or on. I also made a decaying animation for the health but it is a bit small of a tweak to call an update. New enemy: A new enemy, the wolf cavalry has been created, it attacks while rushing towards the player swiping upwards, and not stopping even if it gets hit. Since the wolf cavalry is so fast that it is practically impossible to get it into a combo, they only appear in later waves (The first video where it was in wave 1 was a test, it will not be there in the future) Boss fights: Both the Deer and the Bear have their own boss fights now! One of the bosses are randomly selected at wave 5 and, after they are killed, gives you their abilities. The Bear is tanky, but slow, and the Deer is fast, but weak. I will likely add a new attack for both the Deer and the Wolf cavalry, as the both only have one attack for now. I also am going to work on adding the leveling system and combo tracker, so the player doesn’t unlock all of the abilities from the spirits right away. Devlogs:
v0.1.0 FetchMessages() I created the first part of the library, the fetchMessages function, which allows you to fetch a number of (integer) messages between 1 and Infinity within a channel, filtering which message fields you want to include in the result. For more information, see the README. v0.1.1 I added the GitHub Actions workflow for publishing to npm and updated the README to v0.1.1
v0.1.2 Now if fields contains only objects, it will be treated as a whitelist, showing only the selected properties of those objects. Now fetchMessages() also accepts a Promise as the channel parameter and waits for it to resolve before continuing. Added support for all discord.js v14 versions. Added a quick setup guide to the README.md and updated the documentation for the changes made by this release.
I spent a lot of time rewriting the output of fetchMessages() . Now, in addition to messages, it returns: fetchedTimestamp , a timestamp that shows when the fetch was performed; you can select whether to return: the guild where the channel is located; the channel ; the message authors, divided into: authors (those who sent at least one normal message); interactions (those who sent at least one message linked to an interaction); webhooks . For each message author, if you select the message id in the fields, an array containing all the messages they sent will be displayed. I also added some functions to better handle large fetches: get(id) for messages, even though it’s an array (this can be useful in certain cases); for both message authors and messages: raw which returns the original array/map without the custom wrapper; first(number?) and last(number?) functions, to return the first or last message(s). In the next devlog I’ll finish updating index.d.ts and the README.md, then I’ll release v0.2.0 on npm.
A few things have changed since the last devlog. dsc.archive has now reached v0.2.1 on npm: renamed fetchedTimestamp to fetchTimestamp to avoid cofusion; moved fetchTimestamp to the end of the FetchedMessages object, instead of after messages ; if now authors , interactions and webhooks are empty maps, they will be returned as null in the result; added new types in index.d.ts , such as DefaultFields and DefaultOptions , to better show the default values; added comments on almost every property in index.d.ts , to better explain what each one does; updated the README.md with the new documentation for the changes made.
v0.3.0 The dsc.archive version is now v0.3.0. Here is what has changed: Fixed an issue with options filtering where passing an object would incorrectly enable all options instead of enabling/disabling the selected options; Added package-lock.json to .gitignore ; Added the .toJSON() function to convert saved messages to JSON and save them to a file (optional); Updated README.md with this new feature and added an even faster quick setup guide. Demo As a demo, I created a Discord bot that allows you to test (in a limited way) the library. The bot is inside this Discord server: https://discord.gg/UbV46Wqa3D and can be used immediately, or you can invite it to your own private server: https://discord.com/oauth2/authorize?client_id=1394088761989533780
Ships:
The main function of the library, fetchMessages() , is now complete. It allows you to easily fetch large amounts of Discord messages. It allows you to filter messages so that only the fields you need are returned. You can also choose whether to include additional data such as guild , channel , message authors ( authors ), interaction authors ( interactions ), and webhooks , making them easier to access. When enabled, authors , interactions , and webhooks store all the message authors in these maps along with an array of the IDs of the messages they sent (if the id field was selected), making it easy to access all the messages related to a specific author or webhook. To make handling large amounts of data easier, I added several methods and properties such as .get("ID") for messages, even if it’s an array, .first(NUMBER) and .last(NUMBER) for messages , authors , interactions , and webhooks , allowing you to get multiple objects from the array/map. To improve readability in the console, if messages , authors , interactions and webhooks contain more than five entries, they will be replaced by [Messages] , [Authors] , [Interactions] , and [Webhooks] . You can access the entire array or map via the .raw property....

Devlogs:
Learning HTML, CSS, and JS for my personal website!! Theres not a ton to say for this devlog, as most of the hours I spent here was just tinkering with all these web technologies that I’ve never used before. There are a couple things though: I want my website to be a chill/unserious portfolio website, and importantly I want it to be themed around rainbow coloring! You can’t see it on the still image, but that border and the tiny . in “dylz.net” are both constantly shifting colors in a rainbow fashion. Next devlog I’ll add a custom rainbow cursor (to test my JS skills mostly lol) and eventually i want to add some text saying “my favorite color is rainbow” where the rainbow is stylized as the fancy swaying rainbow text you see in videogames. Anyways that’s it, see y’all in the next log!
new stuff alr tbh I’ve just been experimenting w/ a lot of random stuff but I added some stuff like links, previews, and icons, and more stuff! Honestly I’m thinking of revamping this website to have a more unique look, right now it kind of looks like typical tech bro ai something (even tho esentially none of the code is ai) and I want this site to be more personal to me than it is a show off site or anything. Anyways we’ll see ig...
