Still working on the barebones as per the guide on my web os…. Will add my own customisations when I finish. Still deciding on what to do…. Feast your eyes on what I have thus far:
finished the guide, hopefully going to make it look all nice and add some apps!
Added my own cursor customisation app. This is a cool project, but I think I’m done with it for now. I might improve it in the future, adding more apps and making it look prettier.
Ships:
Finished my hampter os. I think given more time and effort I would’ve made it look a lot more stylised to the hamster art style, and also would’ve made it more comprehensive. It currently only has 2 apps, and if I were to work on it in the future I would make it both function and look like an actual operating system....

Background: I’ve made apps with react native a while (I really mean, a WHILE; hiatus for college entrances prep) back, and never tried flutter. I wanted to try my hand at implementing foundational AI models, and tried to give flutter a chance. I wanted to build this habit tracking app for a friend of mine. Specifics: This project was primarily built with the purpose of me learning Flutter. I initially tried Flutter, (learnt dart, liked some parts, thought it’d have better JS integration that it did), and it completely fell apart because I didn’t totally get how to implement quite elementary features that I’d easily be able to in a React Native devenv. I wanted to use LLaMA models as a fallback locally using Xenova, as an alternative to online Openrouter API. Then, midway, I decided to make the switch to react native since I’m just more proficient and felt more comfortable. To do: Some of the features are yet to be polished. The model use is for aid in breaking particularly ambitious tasks into solid, practical “sprints”; smaller, shorter tasks that culminate in one end. It also uses the accessibility API to find out, with user permission (all data stored only on device, analytics too only on device, by request of said friend), what apps and notifications cause particular deviations in productivity during enabled “focus modes”, and provides an AI summary of those. I don’t want to “block” with user permission, seems particularly dystopian to me. I’ll open source the app once all the features are polished to a decent level. I kept thinking of a good name to give it, and I thought, what does it do? Helps you build/ keep track of something new. So called it something. Future: Just as I’m writing this devlog, am I finding out that you can also use llama.cpp wrappers with flutter. I’m not so proficient with flutter yet, I had some help to set up some basics. Didn’t work out as I intended it would. I’ll build something else with it in the near future."}]...

Made a schematic and worked on the README Good 5AM everybody :> Here’s a schematic! . Since DC motors are gonna output anywhere from -9V to 9V depending on how fast/how we crank the dynamo, we’ll need something to turn it into a stable 5V in a USB-C. . It generates 3 volts yay At a pretty slow spin it generates 3 volts! I’ll probably add an attachment to spin it with. Also here’s my collection of parts so far, the top wheels snap-fit into the bottom ones!
watch me haul ass to a gear system instead of using pulleys new gear system is 20/9 * (52/9) * (52/9) * (20/9) = 165:1
nicer looking gears!
there’s nothing wrong with v2 theoretically, but I made a v3 that would make it more compact and fit better with small bearings. so here’s v3!
hopefully that works, had to hunt down the datasheet from this obscure aliexpress product
Possible V4? OK SO friction is a huge problem, bearings staying in place is a problem, gluing stuff together with gel cyanoacrylate is a huge problem. This is going to take longer than I thought lol. Namely, I have to rethink the design,, along with backdriving a DC motor anyway. But it worked a couple times, temporarily.
this is version 4! version 5 had one less gear segment & doesn’t have the last gear, and v6 be will the final prod model if v5 works...

I finally got the UI right and am okay with it. Its not the best, but its acceptable. I decided to only use icons, to keep it clean, but I ran into the problem, that the icons arent clear enough to showcase the specific sorting algorithm. So I decided on making a tooltip. But the build in HTML tooltip is too ugly and the delay is annoying. I did some research and found a W3Schools tutorial, they are the goat ( here it is ). I didnt expect front end being so time intensive, but I did need to adjust every value so it looks good, which is very hard to do :(. Now there was another problem. It sometimes changed with it self causing it not to do anything. After messing around abit and finding out that it is possible to have multiple meshes, I finally started with the actual project and made a Box func. While making it I decided on doing it with an Interface to be able to learn that (the whole point of this proj was to learn ThreeJS and NextJS). This Box func can be reused and the properties of this box can also be parsed inside. Soo every Box is the same and makes animating easier. I also added a simple moving animation. Shuffle mechanism Today was very successful day. The two major breakthroughs are creating the boxes dynamically and shuffle the height by math.random. I am happy that I remembered, that I could use useState to make an array and use the Array.prototype.map() function to simultaneously create the different boxes. And I can change the order of the boxes with changing the order of the components in the array, sooooo, that should be quite easy to archive. The random shuffle thingi was also quite successful. The sorting will need an async function though, or else it will be instant sorting, which isnt the goal of this sorting thing. Enough yap, back to coding, eventually, maybe.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Sorting algorithm was made today. I decided on the most basic bubble sort. It is basically just 2 nested for-loops. This wikipedia article ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bubble_sort ) has a great code example for it. It was relative easy. But the hard part was to get the animation going. The second part of the vid shows how it was without the fix for the animation. Finding out what the error was, was the first major problem. Ahh and before asking my father I also found out that js async is weird and that we need to use useEffect, kinda an event listener to see when the useState value changes. Ya, now that was it. See u later or tmrw.
Finally something after a long time. I was on vacation during that time, so I needed to use some time to understand what I have done before that. Then I implemented another sorting algorithm!! Selection Sort!! If you take a look inside my commits, you can see it being committed. After implementing selection sort I took a small break and didnt devlog, cause it didnt even took that long. After the break I decided to add a little highlighting animation, that changes the color of the pillars, that are being swapped. That took waay longer that expected, but was the easiest thing to do. I thought this version was also better for bubble sort than the selection one and switched it too. Ya, that was all of it, I think, Have a great day though :)
Better Shuffling logic!!! Before the refinement of the shuffling logic today I just simply randomized the numbers in the array, so that there are new numbers. That introduced one problem, actually two. Numbers could dupe!! I tried to fix it while using numbers with one decimal. The other problem was I could not add an animation anywhere. This is why I decided to make a brand new shuffling logic today. I first tried to fix the duping problem, by checking if this number already exists. When the total count of numbers is very low, this shuffling method might not shuffle it enough, so I am looping it 2 times, if there are less then 10 numbers in it. Ya, thats about it. Now lets get to the slider which increases the blocks.
HOLY WAS THIS A STRUGGLE !! In this session I implemented adding and removing numbers for a slider in the future (hopefully tomorrow). THIS WAS A PAIN. Especially the camera handling. The very very basic adding and removing function was quite easy, since its only adding numbers or splicing numbers from the array (stack overflow my goat). The camera thing was quite hard though. When I add enough numbers it could make the pillars taller than the viewheight, making them sticking “off screen”. The fix was zooming out. But the fix on stack overflow needed to let it be a JSX element, which somehow didnt work. Finding the fix was one problem. The other problem is, that after finding the fix, it still didnt work and the camera “fell” down. After a long debugging session with various console.logs, I finally found the problem and it was one of the stupid ones. I used z, where it should have been y, thats dumb, but eyy, here we go. There were also a few other bugs, like having an infinite while loop when only having one pillar and shuffling. This was fixed by making the minimum number 2. The other bug was, weird camera behaviors happen, when reducing the number while its shuffled. Fixing it with an instant sort before reducing the number of pillars was my approach. Ya, that was about it. I am done for today.
Slider!! Today I added a slider that controls the adding and removing of pillars. I had some minor problems. (No, they were huge, but I feel better saying that they were minor ). First of all, I needed to figure out how to set default values. Normally its just value=””, but this doesnt work for a input type range. After some research I found out that its simply defaultValue, I feel dumb. Then I tried to add/remove pillars with useEffect and monitor the changes of the slider. This worked, but also didnt. I am still searching for a great mathematical, anti-proportional, linear function to adjust it corresponding to the pillars count. Ahh and I also updated the camera adjusting logic a bit.
Thats enough, Ima do CSS tomorrow. Today I added a slider style and 2 other sliders for the shuffling and sorting speed. Then I hid those 2 and the remove and adding pillar buttons. Also added some CSS for flex, justify content, space between, to seperate the drop down, which I added too. I tried to add a scrolling drop down thing, but failed, uhh, I also adjusted the pillar speed and camera angle. Also I found out, that I can call functions from an array, so I can store a function in an array and then call it like that, thats weird, but also huge. Dont wanna write too much today, cause I still have stuff to do. Ah, also added prevention of shuffling while sorting.
FINALLYYYY Today was the final coding session. Ah, I also fixed the bug that when there is the minimal amount of pillars, it will be weird while shuffling (that wasnt proper english). Also the icons changes depending if we are shuffling or sorting and the disables and reinables, which is cool. Uhh, I remembered sth, I need to implement canceling while sorting. Also the vid is one fix old, i did fix the typo in the sorting alg.
Implemented pause logic. I implemented pause logic and added an indicator, which shows, which sorting algorithm is currently active. The pause logic was quite painful, cause it just didnt want to stop. Neither with break, nor with return. After a long long long trouble shooting session, I found out, that I forgot .current and it just wont detect correctly, what a stupid bug to troubleshoot 20 min for. Also I fixed an edge case in the demo vid xD
I wrote my readme in this session, so nothing really to say. It was just typing typing typing and finishing this beautiful readme to be able to submit this project.
Ships:
A 3d sorting algorithm visualizer with NextJS and ThreeJS. Also its made with luve and happiness....

Instead of relying on bloated web-wrappers like Electron, I built the entire UI natively in SwiftUI and hooked it into the Chromium Embedded Framework (CEF) backend. This gives it the lightning-fast V8 JavaScript engine and Blink rendering, wrapped in a beautiful, macOS-native shell. The biggest challenge was wrestling with memory optimization and IPC (Inter-Process Communication). Because I avoided Electron, I had to manually manage how the native Swift UI communicated with the underlying Chromium processes. I spent a lot of time stripping down site isolation overhead and tuning the V8 heap limits so the browser stays incredibly lightweight. We also had to build custom retry-logic to stabilize our local AI Codex server connection! I’m incredibly proud of the UI aesthetics and the performance metrics. The browser looks and feels like an expensive Apple product thanks to the frosted glassmorphism and native Swift animations. But more importantly, it runs like a dream. Features like the AI Tab Grouper and native !Bangs integration make it a genuine power-tool for developers. You can download the v1.0.0-beta directly from the Releases tab on GitHub! made an onboarding pages for the browser
done a full setting page for the browser took almost 14 hours , so basically its focused all all the use cases , developers , normal users and so many - planing to make a browser that no other browser has achieved
We just open-sourced the Soul Browser! 🚀 I wanted to build a browser that feels incredibly fast, native to macOS, and respects your privacy—without relying on heavy Electron wrappers. 🛠 The Stack: Built entirely in native Swift & SwiftUI for a buttery smooth UI, powered by the Chromium Embedded Framework (CEF) under the hood for world-class web rendering and V8 JavaScript performance. ✨ Core Features: • !Bangs Integration: Instantly search your favorite sites directly from the address bar (e.g., type !w macOS to jump straight to Wikipedia). • Built for Developers: First-class DevTools support natively integrated, plus aggressive memory optimization so your browser doesn’t compete with your compiler for RAM. • Privacy & Security First: Zero telemetry. No aggressive tracking. We baked in anti-phishing scanners, Tor-proxy support, and secure local keychain integration. If you’re tired of bloated web browsers, come check out the code, leave a ⭐, or contribute! 🔗 GitHub: https://github.com/soulcloude00/soul-browser Let me know what you think of the architecture! 👇 #swiftui #macos #opensource #buildinpublic

I built the Soul Browser! It’s a high-performance, privacy-first web browser built natively for macOS. Since it’s a native macOS app in beta, you may need to right-click and hit “Open” to bypass the unverified developer warning. Try out the !w bangs in the address bar, or open 20 tabs to watch the AI Tab Grouper automatically organize them for you!...

Poly Extension & Real-World Utility In this session, I shifted Poly from a neat single-page experiment into something you can actually use throughout your workday without getting in your own way.The big focus was simple: reduce friction. If adding a meeting or checking what’s next takes more than two seconds or requires navigating through three menus, nobody’s going to use it. Here’s what got built, refined, and stripped back. What’s New1. The Chrome / Brave Extension Instead of keeping Poly trapped in a single pinned tab, we built a lightweight Manifest V3 browser extension.Instant popup: Hit your shortcut, check today’s timeline, or type Deploy site at 4pm [Work], hit Enter, and get back to what you were doing.Chrome Storage sync: Keeps your extension popup and main workspace reading from the same data, so nothing drops out of sync.2. A Modal for Structured InputThe command-line natural language parser is great for fast typing, but sometimes you just want a standard form.Added a dedicated “+ Add Work” button in the sidebar that opens a clean modal.Pick your start time, set your duration, type the title, and hit submit. No parsing guesswork when you’re in a rush.3. Cleaner Visuals & Physics-Based MotionStripped the fluff: Removed the random emojis and decorative clutter for a sharp, high-contrast dark theme (#09090b base) inspired by modern developer tools.Spring physics: Added spring transition curves (cubic-bezier(0.16, 1, 0.3, 1)) so event cards, modals, and hover states feel snappy rather than sluggish.Non-intrusive feedback: Built a floating toast notification system to confirm actions like export, delete, and view switches without blocking the UI.Core System ArchitecturePlaintextpoly-workspace/ ├── index.html # Main Split-View Dashboard ├── styles.css # Swiss Dark System + Spring Physics ├── app.js # Main Logic, Storage & View Switcher └── poly-extension/ ├── manifest.json # Chrome Manifest V3 Spec ├── popup.html # Extension UI ├── popup.css # Compact Extension Styling └── popup.js # Sync Logic & Quick Add Where We’re Heading NextPoly is now fully usable offline with local storage, sports a browser extension, and handles daily scheduling smoothly. The next big steps will focus on making time-blocking interactive:Native Drag & Drop: Dragging event cards vertically to shift time slots or stretching their edges to adjust duration.Global Command Palette (Cmd + K / Ctrl + K): Triggering quick actions, date jumps, and category switches from anywhere on your keyboard.Google Calendar Sync: Two-way integration so external calendar invites show up inside Poly automatically."}, {"post_id": 45067, "ts": "2026-08-11T10:24:01Z", "hours": 0.6031, "text": "Devlog 02: Poly (25 Min In)Spent another 25 minutes polishing up Poly and fixing a few things that were bugging me from the first build. What I worked on• UI tweaks: Cleaned up the layout, fixed the dark mode colors, and added better visual cues for when meetings overlap. • User profile switcher: Added a small name field at the top so you can switch between user profiles on the fly. • Manual fallback modal: Sometimes natural language typing gets annoying, so I added a simple form modal for when you just want to pick a time manually. • Instant demo button: Added a button that dumps a bunch of fake overlapping meetings onto the calendar so you can test the conflict resolver without typing a dozen events.Still keeping it strictly zero dependencies just raw HTML, CSS, and JS.More updates coming as I keep building!"}, {"post_id": 44053, "ts": "2026-08-09T15:57:39Z", "hours": 0.6922, "text": "Devlog 01………. Devlog 01………. Poly (40 Min In) Got annoyed with calendar apps requiring five clicks just to add one meeting, so I sat down for 40 minutes to build a quick alternative using plain web tech. What I built so far• Command Bar: Type naturally like “Team sync tomorrow at 3pm” to drop events on the grid. • Voice Input: Hooked up the native Web Speech API to add meetings by speaking aloud. • Conflict Detector: Flags double-booked slots and shifts overlapping events to open times.
Devlog 02: Poly (25 Min In)Spent another 25 minutes polishing up Poly and fixing a few things that were bugging me from the first build. • Instant demo button: Added a button that dumps a bunch of fake overlapping meetings onto the calendar so you can test the conflict resolver without typing a dozen events.Still keeping it strictly zero dependencies just raw HTML, CSS, and JS.More updates coming as I keep building!
Devlog 03……. The next big steps will focus on making time-blocking interactive:Native Drag & Drop: Dragging event cards vertically to shift time slots or stretching their edges to adjust duration.Global Command Palette (Cmd + K / Ctrl + K): Triggering quick actions, date jumps, and category switches from anywhere on your keyboard.Google Calendar Sync: Two-way integration so external calendar invites show up inside Poly automatically.
so i am working on a project that is a 3d map of our solar system and i have made it like a 3d slide show so now i have to work on the css and Ui and add the details about the planets and yea i should add moons too cuz yea that little detail can elevate it….i hope the project turns out to be good cuz its been like 4 hours and my hands hurt and i wanna touch some grass :)
ahemmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm soooo 2 hours in and i have fixed some several bugs in main.js and css and i have made the website from a slide show to 3D website and made it quite interactive and improved the graphics and added a starting screen that was an another headache cuz it wasn’t loading properly any ways i have fixed and it’s quite ready to ship….
So ahem ahemm i been working on some issues related the website and I am reducing the bloom and adding more things like new galaxies it can take more time to add those things anyways i have fixed the bloom rn and made the Ui/Ux a little better.
soooooooooo i have fixed some issues with the UI and also the bloom cuz it was terrible yayaya and yea i accidentally deleted my files so i ahd to pull from github..that’s a whole another story anyways i have to work on new galaxies and i am thinking about adding dwarf planets too cuz why not..
SOO AHEM AHEM AGAIN I HAVE ADDED NEW GALAXIES AND SOME DWARF PLANETS AND MOONS AND THERE WERE SOME BUGS LIKE SOMETHINGS WERE JUMBLED..AND I FIXED THEM AND I RAN INTO SOME PROBLEMS LIKE THE JS WASN’T LOADING AND AHHH EVERYTHING GOT DELETED AND MANNN ANYWAYS THE PROJECT IS READY TO SHIP
Ships:
I built Poly Calendar, a fast, dark-mode calendar web app and browser extension designed to strip away the clunkiness of traditional scheduling software so you can time-block your day in seconds. The hardest part was building a reliable natural language parser that could cleanly extract times and tags from plain text without butchering event titles, alongside navigating Chrome’s strict Manifest V3 rules to sync extension data seamlessly. The most fun part was seeing the live preview badges dynamically light up as you type and watching a single-tab web project turn into a native, spring-animated browser utility you can trigger from anywhere.
so i made a 3d website that shows details about our solar system..So it was quite fun to make but i faced a lot of errors while making it ahhh i was a misery and the hard things was to make the actual planets and the moons it took a long time over all i think it turned out to be pretty good..i hope it gets rated well :>
YEA SO IN THIS SHIP I HAVE FIXED SOME MAJOR BUGS AND ADDED NEW THINGS AND THE HARD PART WAS THAT I HAD DELETED MOST OF MY FILES AND I HAD TO PULL THEM AND CODE AGAIN AND THE FUN PART WAS THAT IT TURNED OUT TO BE GOOD..HEY THAT’S WHAT I THINK…AND YEA FOR THE REVIEWERS PLEASWEEEEEEE RATE ME WELL I REAAAAAAALLLYYYYY TRIED MY BEST...

Title screen, basic code, themes, buttons, and more, I am new to Godot so today was spent getting used to the features, however I am happy with what I have accomplished so far
is spent about 2 hours aside from this on sprite design but idk how to log that, I drew the character sprite and terrain by hand, I also altered the settings menu to be a pop up rather than a different scene, I also added a toggle button between a window and a fullscreen mode, finally I added music(I think you can’t here it in the vid)and a music control in settings along side one for six, but there aren’t any six in the game yet
firstly, I changed the games name to space cleaner, pretty much my idea is you go planet to planet cleaning up trash whilst avoiding death form to be added space aliens, I made lvl longer, added a points system, changed the background, added a guy, idle n moving animations, added the collectibles and more, next I will work on the enemies, and hp system and getting the rocket to be a queue to change scene to the next level
FINAL BOSS RAAAAAA, right I did a lot of coding and level design for my game but that doesn’t matter, I finally finished the pixel art for my games final boss, I’m no artist but I’m really proud of how it came out and am very proud, next I will do level design for the last two levels, add some cut scenes and try and add a heart and attack system tmr
FINALLY HUZZAH, homestretch health system is set up, both enemy and player can attack and take damage, also now the rocket won’t leave until you’ve killed all enemies and cleaned all trash, nor just gotta do the final boss fight and possible add an intro then I’m done
the boss fight is done, the game demo is published on itch.io life is good...
