Starting the basics, getting the idea and base down along with the basic formatting and styling done (though it may change later). Most of the text is just placeholders for now and again may change later. Later me problems.
Second Log: Doing some more styling since I want to get that mostly set up as I work on starting the challenges. Adding a couple more pages since I am procrastinating doing the actual web challenges and I wanted them anyway. Plus it took me much longer than it should have to just make a nav bar that still needs some work.
Third log: Well I continued to work on the crypt page. Formatted it so you can see and the challenge and hint with different sections so you can look at challenge without seeing hint. This took me, again, probs longer than it should have. I did other things along with some organisation. Oh and I played around making a couple simple challenges.
Log four: Well after a lot of reading I got this set up for a backend I think. Very first time doing this so I think will take couple times to fully get it but its working for now so I am gonna take that as a win.
OK so I worked on setting up what I think should work as local storage. While setting that up it messed up something else, which I had to fix. I also linked up the progress/checkbox tracker across all the pages and a way to reset said progress. I also went through and fixed some bugs I came across. (Text may change since some are placeholders still)
So that took so much longer than I thought it was going to. Not to mention the challenge that I wanted to compleat is still not done, but I don’t want to continue tonight so here I am. Oh well, I think the base of the entier site is mostly done for now. I am just going though and adding the challenges now. I think I have about ten and half done, but I will be focusing on adding them from now on.
So I got a couple more challenges done for the site today. I think I may only do 2 more challenges (one in in each section) for now so hopefully that will happen tomorrow. Anyway the pic is from one of the web challenges I made, like the last 3 were.
Well I decided that it would be good to have a page with all the answers to the challenge so here we are. Each challenge will have a quick description on how to solve it, as well as the final flag. I also did some re-styling and adding little things in here and there.
Well I added some challenges and finally got round to editing the home page which I had been putting off for ages now. I want to fix the intro text for the home page but not much else for now. I think I am mostly done and might think about shipping soon but we will see how we go.
Just doing what should hopefully be last edits, bug fixes, read throughs, and styling for the page as a whole.

Devlog - 1 Spent some time setting up the base files for the website. Most of the time went in figuring out the color scheme I should use but, I later just decided to go with the Catpuccin Mocha color scheme. ❓ Why so little work in a 40 min devlog? Most of my time went in figuring out the colors as well as the project structure. I wasn’t able to figure out how to fix node modules import while moving the files to another folder .
Devlog - 2 Spent some time designing the website a little bit. I’m using my animated grid background in this project too as it’s really cool in my opinion. I haven’t started on the actual backend yet . I want to finish the frontend stuff BEFORE I start working on the backend.
Devlog - 3 Spent some time adding a header and footer . For now, it only links to the source code and my portfolio website . However, I’ll improve it once I’ve got most of the basics of the website completed .
Devlog - 4 Spent some time working on the baseplate for all the information that will be fetched . I wasn’t able to code a lot today due to some school stuff. None of these currently work or are accurate. These are just placeholders for now. I’ll be back with some actual progress very soon!
Devlog - 5 Spent some time working on making the divs appear only after entering a valid website URL and implementing the Who.is Records feature . For now, the feature doesn’t work properly and is only partially working. But, I’ll be fixing that later in the next devlog! I had to use AI as I couldn’t fetch the data properly using the Who.is API .
Devlog - 6 I know my devlogs have become smaller and shorter time is being logged, but that’s because of my school hackathon competition :D Anyways, spent some time adding a valid URL / IP checker and fixing the UI on mobile devices . Previously , if you entered a wrong URL, the website would try to fetch the details of that URL and fail in doing so . Now, if you entered a wrong URL, the website tells you that the entered URL is wrong . Also, why did no one tell me you can add these animated emojis?
Devlog - 7 School hackathon competition ended so I can code more now! I’ve got a really interesting idea in my mind which I’ll be presenting in another project. Anyways: Spent some time implementing the subdomain fetching function and fixing some styling issues . Previously, if there were too many nameservers to display, the text would overflow. Now, I’ve fixed it by adding a horizontal slider so the divs won’t mess with the overall design.
Devlog - 8 Spent some time adding the certificates fetcher feature . Also, added a IP to Website Checker to ensure all features work properly. Added an error handler which displays text if the data can’t be fetched for the entered URL or IP . Last devlog before shipping!
Ships:

Hi, I just completed the prototype, a basic layout and for my webOS project. It has a clock and a dock at the bottom.
Completed draggable windows and dynamic z-index. I found creating draggable logic kinda exhausted. Maybe, that’s the toughest one in this session. If you guys have any suggestion, please comment below!
Just completed the feature of resizable windows by stretching at the edge of it.
Just completed window manager, now user can add a new windows through clicking on app icons in the dock The most challenging task in this session might be managing windows and working with key in Svelte of list rendering....

Small changes to colors, buttons, windows, and menus can affect the entire user experience.Current StatusThe WebOS version is the main playable version and is being prepared for public testing. The downloadable computer software is still unfinished and under development.
