So this is my first devlog for My MischiefOS Project. just now i’ve finished part 4 of os guide and made two windows with all the primary capabilities it must have. for now i just made static visuals of my screen. not hard visuals, just executed pure code. 1st-main screen 2nd-apps

A fully working terminal app with just couple of personalized commands Currently working on Music Player So not whole terminal app but some complex syntax and minimal logic was done by watching youtube tutorials and chatgpt at conclusion and to ensure if i learnt right thing. also as i said not whole app just learning logic of how to make my own music player btw just learnt how to apply logic and how to serve different solutions to different ideas
Devlogging after some long days, because i went on college trip As Readers will know i was working on music player, i just decided what logic & code flow i have to apply. I watched some tutorials, asked chatgpt for different suggestions and how to execute, but none of them was seems to work for me and my idea. so i now i’m going to apply the logic what my mind created and let me go for it for a test. this the song disk i am thinking to place in music player
made and executed main essential music player functionality! and yeah also found how to write these emojies Whats done: Music plays when selected play - pause working but there is something unusual is happening idk why other visuals r just visuals and just structure, i have to make it work. also see codes snippets, i written all code and logic myself and yeah all the logic i learn from youtube tutorials, chatgpt and w3school.
Finally made music player Features play & pause buttons forward & backward buttons a music player cd rounds when playing can play whatever song want to and whenever just select song from selection or go forward or backward if creativity gives me more time then then ill add volume buttons yeah i’ll polish the design and will make it look exactly as it has to
made a fully functional library/file manager app. I got sick while making this app! i just thinking that the logic or code was that tough to make me sick or just was my deep thinking that made me sick ⚠️the app works like when you click any document icon it let you see that document in very interactive and wonderful way. for now i placed placeholder images and will add real once when all my creative ideas are executed
Working on Gallery app despite some personal challenges I facing some logical problems, but what i tried to execute is : I made a Gallery that features two tabs: Recent, where all images are dispayed Albums, Where images are classified and displayed in categories will be feature images categories in next devlog
finally made fully functional gallery app successfully For now i have limited numbers of images, so i placed them as placeholders, will add much more later. Now my next goal is to make a special widgets for my purpose in this site : Site Visit Counter and yeah will also make other widgets
so i added a on key press functionality on musicApp. Functionalities added: now user can play music when space bar is clicked made navigation bar static so app does not go underneath of it.
Added Key Press Functionality on Timer How u can interact: Press “T” or “t” to start and stop Timer Press “S” or “s” to select Timer time
Debugged, found and solved bugs Debug and solved bugs such as functions that are called without need or at wrong time. also added key press for closing and maximizing apps
Devlog 24 Built some components and also made changes that looks very little but gives very much impression added visitor counter widget Firstly, Because some days before i commented about my project on someone reel on instagram and also added project link in bio, and guess what! people visited my project. added or fixed mini functionalities such as navbar, app maximize. made visitor Counter with app script and spreadsheet – before this, i also worked on IoT projects in college and worked with app script and spreadsheet – so i thought why not apply exactly that here – i also took suggestions and idea from ai’s chatbots but its ai and ai always give perfection in each work and i was not intented to go with any backend like node.js or supabase, etc. fixed nav and app as apps are going under the navbar adjustments in maximize and alignments changed simple single key press close and maximize to work with Alt key
Devlog 25 made whether and clock widgets i was not able make these widgets without youtube tutorials. So absolute these widgets needs improvments in styling. and yeah i want to make clock widget like this below image, and i just having a logic idea that might works.
Devlog 26 See both pictures made clock exactly like i thought and in series. it just needs styling and polishing. making all it together was little what hard so i made it in my way.
Devlog 27 Please See all images to be thrilled! lets go from small to big! made small interaction functionalities in setting(lots of time went in solving mini mistake that are just at front but not seemed) made a wikipedia app successfully – go read articles about tva, apocalypses in history and hunters made a general setting that toggle clock widget to display and hide. – it also remembers that last time u hided it or displayed
Devlog 28 Trying to make a game. for now i added placeholder images but will add actual real objects images. Trying to make a portal that opens up and takes and hides all the objects when found or game ends
Devlog 29 Made this tiny character animation then adding it in game. The game is now not fully functional but it is on the way to finally being build. the os is just few days way from available to all
Devlog 30 Made Amaaazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzziiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggggggg Animationsss. one thing i would say: Go check it out mygame app in myos, give some patience to finish animation jussssssssssssssssssssst have to add winning condition. But rather than game starting loading animation was very smooth from my vision and to audience who watched loki series.
Devlog 31 Finally made the actual game with all the functionalities that makes a game A Game. How to play start the game and find all the saviors(Lokis). once you find all the lokis, congrats in advance you will won. whats differents in game from normal flow is at 7th step when u find 7th loki, a message will appear saying “you are looser and always, but when you find the lasts you will won. what was challenging The most challenging part is not part about the game but it is about me and my creative thinking. It was the UI Design it was the User Experience Design it was animations and bugs They were all parts i made in my mind, and i want to add at any way by myself
Devlog 32 I’m proud of my creativeness Now this is time for finalizing and polishing the design. And may be adding some little what impressive elements in this final phase. now im covering this all and going to ship in next 1-2 days. Devlog 33 Made this amazing interface for navbar and added the clock. the tuff part was the clock and its hands. Designing and Testing with User interface again and again was very time consuming and frustrating. But loved the Process!
Devlog 34 Finalizing windows styles. Worked on Lockscreen. Very long day though. Playing. Testing. Reviewing. modifying and debugging functions and frontend elements.
Devlog 35 this time devlogging time is low but i have given like 2 or 2.5 hours designing assest. all that stuffs are created by me with bare hands Im not exprienced designer that can create impressive designs, but this is what i can create. BTW i’m using affinity here.
devlog 36 I dont know how i am working, just noticing each detail and wasting all time fixing each design, functionalities and details. what changes Basically Changed lots of things which even i dont remember, some oh them were: apps icons container, transition, position and almost all details. grid underlying details like changed content of each grid element. Finalized Library App but there are even lots of things i have to final so byeeeeeeeeeee. let me finish this project

MischiefOS A Retro - Futuristic themed OS inspired by MARVEL TV SERIES “LOKI” Everything You’ll see on the interface is ideat and coded by myself. Used AI just for debugging. Message to Reviewer Please Look at all devlogs and review code before judging as stardance asks reviewer So basically the idea is: i watched loki series for multiple times and always inspired by TVA aesthetics and loki mischief behaviour. (also i was also very admired by Retro Tech) so thought to build a- Retro Futurism interface that doesn’t feel heavy and bold. Just a unique art direction that differentiate ongoing Tech Trend. So I started Brainstorming and made some amazing design decisions and a copy of all things in my mind. This whole project was challenging So first of all explaining all project related challenges, i have to mention one- I had no device for to code, so i brought friend’s laptop for most of time but want to know something exciting, when i does not friend’s laptop too, i starts coding in my android mobile through Acode mobile app - the more exciting part is that it also features wakatime extension so i do not have to worry about time and to do code changes at all. so the github and acode apps were become very helpful for me. Challenges in code , btw all the OS was challenging but there are some elements who took me to build long hours and concerned me: timer weather widget visitor counter widget setting wallpaper functionality toggle on off buttons in setting journal app inspiration and guide book mygame app, animations and states of elements music app and lots BTW, I am proud of myself that i made it succefully. i was challenged to build something unique i was challenged to make it cool i was challenged to just make functionalities work i was challenged to make it to be real and feel real i was challenged to build this along my very rough college schedules and deadlines And I’M Proud of myself that i completed all very neatly as i always expected (btw except college all other challenges are my goals to satisfy my creativity.) To exprience this crazy built OS [ ] just have some excitement. [ ] get some fresh water. [ ] look or search for some lowki keywords and aesthetic in pinterest. [ ] Give some time to load all images and assets for best exprience. [ ] after in OS, read guide book on desktop page to know features.
