I added a Background section to the side menu. Users can now switch back to the NASA Daily image, choose from five selected space wallpapers, or use solid-color backgrounds. The wallpapers also have small previews so users can see them before selecting one. I also improved the clock customization. Users can now change the clock font using arrow buttons and choose between Digital Ops, Audiowide, Michroma, Bruno Ace, and Oxanium. I added a similar selector for clock colors, with options like White, Cyan, Blue, Purple, Solar, and Black. I added a Day/Night toggle for the clock too. When it is turned on, the clock automatically changes its color depending on the time of day. When it is turned off, the user can select their own clock color. I also improved the side menu so the clock font and color selectors open directly underneath their buttons instead of opening separate panels. This makes the menu simpler and keeps the main dashboard clean. Another addition was the loading screen. When the website starts, it shows “Loading Space…” while the NASA Daily background is being fetched and loaded. Once the image is ready, the loading screen disappears. It also disappears if the NASA request fails so the website doesn’t get stuck. There were several bugs while building these features. The biggest one was a misplaced } in the clock code, which caused the clock to stay at 00 00 and stopped the hamburger menu from working. Wrote the core JavaScript for my Space Search project: a live fetch to NASA’s Astronomy Picture of the Day API. Learned how fetch() and .then() chains work — sending a request, converting the raw response with .json(), then using the data to build the page. Handled the case where NASA sometimes posts a video instead of an image (using an if statement and a media variable so I only set innerHTML once, instead of overwriting it multiple times). Fixed a real-world problem: NASA’s official Mars Rover Photos API was returning 404 errors on every request — confirmed it wasn’t my code by testing the exact documented URL directly, even with their public demo key. Pivoted to reusing the same NASA APOD endpoint I’d already gotten working, but requesting a random historical date instead of today — gives varied real space photos on each sticky note while staying reliable. Learned how to generate a random date between two points using Date.getTime() and Math.random().
🚀 Space Dashboard — Saving Notes with localStorageToday I worked on making the sticky notes in my Space Dashboard persistent. Before this, I could create NASA photo notes and drag them around, but whenever I refreshed the page, all the notes disappeared.💾 What I addedI implemented localStorage so the dashboard can remember the notes even after refreshing the page. For each note, I now save:📸 The NASA photo URL📍 The note’s position📝 The note’s shape/classI created a saveNotes() function that collects the information from every sticky note and stores it in the browser’s localStorage.I also added a restore system that runs when the page loads. Set today’s NASA Astronomy Picture of the Day as the full-page background, with a dark overlay to keep everything readable regardless of what image NASA posts. Added a large glowing digital clock overlay showing the live time, styled with a soft black to match the space theme
add 5 different quotes each time randomly one from them will appear as it is appearing of top right if you think any changes feel free to give your changes
Today I worked on the search section of my Space Dashboard. I added a Google search bar so users can quickly search the web directly from the dashboard. I also added four shortcut buttons for YouTube, Gmail, Stardance, and Hackatime. I gave the search bar and shortcuts a glassmorphism/futuristic space design with transparent backgrounds, blur effects, and hover animations.
From last 2 days I was focusing on making the Space Dashboard more interactive and customizable. Space Menu I created a hamburger menu that opens a glass-style sidebar. This will act as the main control center for the dashboard, with options for the Quote of the Day, To-Do List, backgrounds, clock styles, and clock colors. I connected the Quote of the Day option to the sidebar. Users can now toggle the quote ON or OFF, depending on whether they want a cleaner dashboard or some inspiration on screen. I added a 4-task To-Do panel with a dark matte-glass design, background blur, rounded corners, and subtle transparency. I also made the panel draggable, so users can move it anywhere on their dashboard while still being able to type normally inside the task fields. and with that they can be on and off by clicking on to-do list button on sidebar
Since the last devlog, I worked mainly on improving the customization and overall UI of the Space Dashboard. I added a Background section to the side menu. PDF TOOLS WEB APP This is a collection of web based pdf tools Now it has only 1 tool Pdf merger. More tools will be added in the future. You can upload any file into it and the app will merge them and outputs a single pdf. None of your data never leaves your browser. I have used ai just in pdf merger app’s pdf merging js code only. Other css and html and all are written by me itself. Merging pdf js code was a little challenging.
PDF TOOLS it is a multifunctional pdf tools. That has some sub apps Pdf Merger Merge multiple number of PDFs to a single one Pdf Compressor Reduce the size of a pdf using rasterization Image to PDF Upload Images and convert them into a single PDF. Every tool had its own difficulties and challenges. I am only a beginner to js. So ai helped me to understand and debug my errors. I hasn’t used direct ai in this project. Please read my readme and my GitHub commits too. Hopes this one helps you In future ships more features will be added. Rate this project
PDF TOOLS This is a simple web app with useful Pdf tools built with html css and js. it has a home screen where all tools can be accessed. Now it has 3 tools. In later ships more tools will be added. Finally started building DotVault :) my personal Vault for my code snippets and random commands and some other developer stuff.
finished the storage part but i never worked on the search systems before, if anyone has any expierience with the search systems, would be interested to know how you approached ranking results when searching for anything in Vault.
right now it only checks the title, spent way more time today on fixing errors. This will take time for sure though its not a kind of project that should take more than a week or two :(
tried to deploy on the render but the frontend end scripts shows error and somehow it cannot fulfills the purpose of saving your code snippets or whatever, i am sucking at this plus the frontend looks so boring as well, imma try to fix this otherwise its gg! and a lot more to learn :/...

Also after asking for help in a reddit rocketry channel I was recomended to use an off the shelf flight computer because it wouldn’t be a good idea to put a brand new flight computer in charge of pyrotechnics. For that I chose the Eggtimer Quantum which is a cheap $40 flight computer which will control the pyro charges. I also worked on the pcb and solved some drc errors, and finished routing some small resistors and whatnot, I still havent heard anything about the missing lapse for the pcb but we will see, For now the final things will be to finalize the BOM wrap everything up."}, {"post_id": 71569, "ts": "2026-09-21T02:16:41Z", "hours": 2.5836, "text": "I’m actually about to end it all, I began pcb design and routing, and I did around 3 days of work totalling 19 hours, But I being lazy did all the work on one lapse, and I finished this pcb work pretty late into the night, so I decided to save the lapse and journal everything in the morning. Next morning I wake up and I go to lapse to sync my lapse with the project but then something happens. I open lapse and normally the old lapse shows up automatically, but it didnt. I then start panicking and try searching around, I look through my old lapses on the Lookout app and couldn’t find it, I kept looking and never found it even though I remeber saving it in lookout the night before. I’ve asked for a help in the stardance help channel and I’m hoping we can find it? if not i quit. Other than I did work on my cad and layed out how everything will work. I’m going to use u bolts to hold all the parachute lines together, and for the avionics bay I’m going to use 3/8 threaded rods and 0.5in bulkhead made of wood. A dual depoly system basically means that instead of releasing just on big parachute at apoggee and letting the rocket drift for that time, there initally is something called a drogue chute which is a small chute that only slow the rocket down adn minimzes drift, and after the rocket reaches a lower altitude it depolys the main parachutes(close to 100-120m). The parachutes will be deployed using pyrotechnics, and will be timed with an onboard flight computer. Now I already have built a flight computer in the past that I could use for this flight, But that computer is still in the testing stages, so in the coming day’s im going to decide wheter I should just use that flight computer or get another seperate flight computer for redundancy. The rocket will be made of a cardboard airframe and strengthened with an extra layer of fiberglass, This will probably be only for the main body and not the nose cone but I might also do it for the nose cone in the future. I’m going to use u bolts to hold all the parachute lines together, and for the avionics bay I’m going to use 3/8 threaded rods and 0.5in bulkhead made of wood. Other than that I just have to finalize the BOM for the project and then submit and hopefully fix the whole pcb issue.
So today I mainly worked on my pcb and Bom, I first started by making the BOM for the project and finding the cost of everything I would need, The main cost for this project are for the main flight computer which is around $400 which is crazy but I have someone who works at jlcpcb who sponsored an old project of mine and could help me with this, Other than that I need around $270 for the main rocket but I think I can bring that cost down. I also worked on the pcb and solved some drc errors, and finished routing some small resistors and whatnot, I still havent heard anything about the missing lapse for the pcb but we will see, For now the final things will be to finalize the BOM wrap everything up.
So Today I finalized my BOM and my cad, I tried out blender for a while and realized that I was just not made for it, I’ll try and learn it but it will take a while probably, for the pcb I was able to bring the cost down to around $250 which puts me within the budget and I also made a stencil on google slides which I will paint onto the rocket as like a livery to make it look nicer, Other than that I finished some small drc errors on the pcb and thats it I’m going to be submitting and hoping!...
