The Rules of Sudoku The Grid: The board has 81 total squares divided into nine 3x3 blocks (or boxes). No Repeats: Each number from 1 to 9 can only appear once in every individual row, column, and 3x3 block. Givens: Puzzles start with some numbers already filled in as clues. Harder puzzles give you fewer starting numbers. No Math Needed: You do not use arithmetic or math skills; success relies entirely on logic and pattern recognition. How My Solver Bot Works To make the computer solve puzzles automatically, I built a backtracking solver. Think of the bot like a person walking through a maze. Since it can’t see the whole maze at once, it has to remember every step it takes. My two stacks ( stack_empty and stack_av ) act like a trail of breadcrumbs and a list of backup choices at every fork in the road. Here is how the logic works step-by-step: Taking a Step Forward: The bot looks for an empty spot, checks what numbers are allowed using the valid function, and picks the first legal number. Stack action: It drops a breadcrumb ( stack_empty ) with the spot’s location, and saves its leftover backup numbers in a pocket ( stack_av ). Hitting a Dead End: Sometimes, the bot fills up the board, but a later spot gets completely stuck because no numbers are legal. Stack action: The bot says, “Oops, this path is wrong,” and erases the failed spot back to 0 . Backtracking (Rewinding): It looks at its last breadcrumb ( stack_empty ) and checks its backup pocket ( stack_av ) to see if it has any untried numbers left for that spot. If that spot is also out of options, it deletes it, erases it back to 0 , and steps back even further up the stack. Once it finds a spot that still has a backup number waiting, it plays that new number and starts moving forward again. In short, the stacks let the bot undo its mistakes one step at a time instead of starting over from scratch!"}]...

Updated the Sudoku game. It now allows users to play the game themself. The other option is to watch the bot solver using the algorithm described in the previous devlog. The next option is to race against the bot. The last option is to quit the game....

It can turn any GitHub profile into a Spotify wrapped style story. The most challenging things in this project for me were the CSS page CSS errors, positioning was also acting up, I think I had a sort of variable conflict or something, almost pushing my tokens to github which was automatically blocked, but that presented another pushing general issue, I eventually had to create a New repo since trying to fix the old one was too much unnecessary work. Im proud of the fact that I was able to think up an idea and build and deploy a working model all from scratch, thats pretty awesome to me. The software requires a VALID github username (obviously), any other information check out the README! Final devloggggg!!! Im finally done with version one of GitWrapped!!! Honestly this has been one of the most exciting but frustrating projects ive ever done. I spruced up the UI a bit to make it feel more appealing. I added a work history heatmap, downloadable summary card that can be shared with friends, link to the github account the summary is referencing, and a bunch of other tiny fixes/updates. Deploying was a bit problematic too cause of the GitHub PAT I used, so I had to find a better secure work around. Learning stuff for the first time can be crazy, cause the tiniest of mistakes can cause an error and lead you on wild goose chases lasting hours, my final bug for this project was literally just a single “.”, thats it, I started wondering whats wrong but after a while i was able to discover it. So thats pretty much it for GitWrapped, Hope you guys like it!
#UPDATE I did a little retouch to the UI because it apparently looked like I used AI heavily for it (I used it to do some code correction and implementation issues mainly), but I have redone it with my own personal touch (based on what ive learned while building the first version). I changed the background to a simple color gradient instead of the characteristic glossy AI looking background and adjusted the color code a little. The overall layout is still pretty much the same.
I created a simple welcome screen, with an animation as well too, and also a sort of dropping curtain overlay for when the button is clicked that comes down from the top, switches to the next screen then goes back up again. At first I encountered an issue where the overlay started from the middle of the screen to the top and bottom, but i was able to fix that after a few tweaks. I used the pixel font from google fonts because… well thats what I wanted to see when i open the software so…
Added a dialogue box to the input screen inspired by the orpheus overlay Ive seen, although i want to use it for every screen, lets see how it goes. I almost broke the entire thing trying to make the dialogue box a global variable that can be used on every screen, so I quickly reversed all the changes, will try to do it again later I also used a default smiley face emoji as a placeholder, im still deciding whether to use pixel art or trying drawing a character myself (even though I cant really draw 0…0)
UHHHHHH, Finally almost done with the restyling (almost, I think), made a lot of changes, especially to the downloadable card, there were A LOTTT of errors EVERYWHERE!, and a small mistake will make you scratch your head for hours, I literally forgot to comment out ONE line of code, and it almost ruined everything, anyways, I should be making the finally touches soon (There genuinely is an github account for any name haha)
Final devlog for GitWrapped, finished the restyling, did a few cosmetic fixes too. I also made the dialogue at different stages dynamic so its a different dialogue based on the data it collects about that profile from github. I also used a pixel art character as GitBot, due to time considerations.

This is a project called GitWrapped. It would be great if i could get feedback on the project itself from other people, so if you guys dont mind, drop what you think of it....

As I developed more projects over time, I managed to improve my CSS and HTML skills, and this time I decided to take a chance on JavaScript. I decided to try building a portfolio again — one that was more complete, truly reflected my personal style, and displayed my projects correctly without breaking on mobile phones or other computers. I struggled quite a bit at the start, but I stuck to my vision: a black background that matched the aesthetic I had chosen. Without a doubt, the hardest part was JavaScript — a language I had barely used before. Seeing the final result is truly amazing! I should be upfront about one thing, though: I used AI solely to understand how to write certain JavaScript code, learn exactly how it works, and fix bugs along the way. Why am I mentioning this? I showed the site to my friends and asked if they thought I had used AI to build it. Guess what? They did. At first, that surprised me, but I ended up taking it as a compliment. I had managed to build something polished enough that they didn’t expect me to have made it myself. It makes me incredibly proud and motivates me to keep moving forward. Anyone testing my site should know that every little detail matters. For instance, the terminal is fully functional and even includes two simple games that run smoothly. Now, every time the site starts, it randomly selects one of the songs and displays its name, artist and album cover. but yeah, it wasn’t enough, not even close.
