I’m learning Godot shaders.
I followed an intro to Godot shaders video and made a simple water shader.
I experimented with several effects to make a warpy glass thing and outlines. I also learned how to control shaders with a script and made a color selector.
Using what I learned about shaders, I made a liquid editor with color and wave settings.

Today, I finished I have made my first ever HTML, which is a simple website named Krysync 51. I will add more aesthetic features and images. I will also decide on what the website will do sometime soon, and will add multiple more features, including navigation.
I have uprgraded my website, adding a toggle for dark and light mode, and made a small form to help keep in touch, and if there are any errors in the website.
I fixed the dark and light mode so that it is more easily accessible. However, I am still not sure what to focus my website on. On other note, I will fix the form, as it is not currently working.

FINALLY I UNDERSTOOD HOW API’S WORK!!! it felt like ages trying to figure out how to request data from the weather api but i finally figured it out! I’ll try to implement it into the bot after processing the data provided by the api :)
i never knew making even things as simple as a weather data fetching service can be so confusing, i had to experiment quite a lot to finally get how to fetch the response from the ai and how to send it the parameters. I initially tried using fetch, but it was tough because of Rails’ CSRF protection and Origin verification. So instead, I use the chrome.windows API to open a window for Stardance, then inject a script using the scripting API and content scripts to fill out and submit the form for the user. It’s pretty tricky, but I added a few touches to keep the UX smooth, like making it look like a loading screen in the middle of the popup. For example, to close the window right after posting, I save a specific value to sessionStorage first. Part of the reason I’m posting this Devlog is actually to see if I can figure out the right way to handle these submission requests.
I had a really hard time with this, but I finally finished the feature that lets you post devlogs right from the popup. I initially tried using fetch, but it was tough because of Rails’ CSRF protection and Origin verification. So instead, I use the chrome.windows API to open a window for Stardance, then inject a script using the scripting API and content scripts to fill out and submit the form for the user. It’s pretty tricky, but I added a few touches to keep the UX smooth, like making it look like a loading screen in the middle of the popup. For example, to close the window right after posting, I save a specific value to sessionStorage first. Then, the content script checks for that value, sends a postMessage to the popup, and the popup catches it and calls the API to close the window. It makes the whole submission process feel seamless.
I’ve finished building the foundation for the add-on system, like the toggle features, and for the first add-on, I added the ability to post Devlogs directly from the project page. To make this happen, I added a new add-on API function that lets scripts run only when you’re on a path that meets certain criteria. It’s usually tricky to handle this in an SPA, but I found out that Turbo (the Rails framework Stardance uses) fires a turbo:render event on the document during page transitions, and that did the trick! It turned out super smooth, and I’m really happy with how it works :)
I’ve added a feature that autosaves the Devlog you’re currently typing, so it won’t disappear even if you reload the page! You can also use this feature from the popup. It was quite a challenge, but I’m happy with how it turned out :)...
