Devlogs:
I built the entire sketch pcb but for some reason hackatime isn’t registering it (spent like 3 hours on this I kid you not) For some reason it’s also to much to ask for just simply importing files (it just didn’t want to work at all, had to reinstall 3 times before it worked) The plan is to put 2 joysticks (general joysticks like ps4 or drone controller) on the pcb and then make it work with geofs.
I finished the entire pcb and I built the case (took about 1.5 hours total and then I started coding but vscode again didn’t properly track because I spent about 4 hours perfecting it (I have a pretty complicated piece of code that turns the joystick motion into mouse movement and also made it work on chromebook)
Ships:
I built a macropad that has 2 built in joysticks I found in an old drone controller and I used them to make a flight sim setup that you can connect to your chromebook and then you can play geofs way more realisticaly at school because it’s also very smal (10x10x10 cm). It has a lot of features like the 2 warning lights, a trim button (for non plane lovers it’s like you have the way your flying if you let go with trim you change it so it automatically pulls to one side, kinda like stickdrift but programmed). it also has dedicated buttons for landing gear, airbrake, flaps and wheelbrakes. FINALY FINISHED MY CAD AAAAA!!!!!!!! after numerous crashes and cad software changes and driver issues, I finally completed my cad(basic), although I may improve this by adding a bluetooth module and/or a rotatory switch as I’m planning to control music this #Blender is best
Added a rotary switch so I spent………..idk like 45-60mins on reading the documentation and I’ve added and routed the rotary switch and now the major thing pending is just that I need to write or configure the firmware, until then bye bye!!
Firmware done yayayay so i just completed the firmware for today, like reading the docs killed me, hence I did the most sensible decision: took a lil bit of help from AI, like i didn’t want to drag this project for a loong time, but hey knowing python helped A LOT in understanding C. Ok that’s all for now, the rest will prolly be js me submitting. Byee:)
Almost done yayy I have completed the full project and pushed it to github, athough I have just the readme to complete, I guess I’ll do it today, may the lord bless me with the motivation and knowledge for it. things done: remodelled the case to fit my rotary encoder fixed sm issues in pcb comitted all the files to git things left to do: write README push to github submit(yayayayay)
PROJECT DONEE!!!! readme done, pushed to github, all done, only pending is that I need to submit, Imma submit bye!!
Update I just updated the project’s README to fit ship requirements and reorganized for the same, so yayy, how it gets approved:) P.S.: "minor changes"
BOM FIXEDD!!!!!!!!!!!! so my BOM renders correctly now on github, yayy
Making a few last min changes for PCB making. ahh yea this was for making a few changes and I had spent a day check and rechecking my PCB for it to get rejected by the manufacturer 2 two times and only then I got to know that I had to use another extension.
updated the CAD so my as per my last devlog I updated the PCB, but I forgot to update CAD and the CAD turned out to be with wrong measurements and now I updated CAD, once its done, we’ll have the build video...

Getting familiar with html and css
Using CSS I changed the appearance of the site further, by following the Tutorial I made the Top-Bar and added the Time (converted to EU time)
I am confused. Continued working on my OS by following the third and fourth guide. Following the third guide everything went smoothly, I managed to make the windows moveable, closable, openable and so on. - But when continuing with the fourth guide I got so confused… I have no clue what I am supposed to do and what the guide wants me to do. Aaa Javascript you confuse me so much :( - I will probably take a break and try to resolve all of this another day….
Managed to find out what the guide wanted me to do lol and also finished the guide!! Wohooo!!! I fixed many bugs and also made a Art-App to display what I have done, its not finished yet but we are getting there. I noticed once again how slow I am with coding this, but at least I am learning much along the way - and it took so long to search for all of my images, gifs and videos that I wanted to display in the Art-App, but we are getting there. Hope to maybe submit a build in the next or so devlog. thx for reading :D
I think I pretty much finished my “Art-App”, added the option to click on the images to view them in bigger size, also made custom cursors and added many hyperlinks to my socials - most importantly I discovered animations! Made some slight changes to pretty much everything and added animations everywhere I could haha. I really like how the OS is looking, I have plans to add a new App in which there is Information about Games I worked on and more. lets see how that turns out.
Added the new “Games-App” where all games I’ve worked on are listed with a itch embed, description, images and so on. It took ages writing all of the text, getting the right layout and so on - but I managed to do it. Also made the window change upon grabbing a bit and replaced the placeholder App Icons with new ones I drew - turned out noice in my opinion. I probably did more stuff but I forgot - thanks for reading through all of this
Wrote all of the text and replaced all placeholders, made the readme and also a musicplayer that plays some .oggs that are cc0.
Added a custom domain and more!!! First of all I added some new Art, Games and such I have created since first making this website - then also created the custom domain, with which I had some issues but managed to get it working. I will continue working on this site as part of the WebOS 2 Mission and already have some plans I want to do: A fake Internet Explorer with my own Websites A Paper Bin with abandoned Ideas and so on Change the taskbar changing the Music player to a small Icon in taskbar add sfx try out the in some app Hope I can get These done, see you next time! (the image is a rough sketch of what I have in mind)
So, I drew Icons for both browser and trashcan, I also redesigned my favicon, still not totally happy with it but it wlll work eventually lol. Then made a browser app, (made some mockups first) where you can check out websites I created. For now it replaces the Music player icon, I will add the music player back asap, but for now it stays like that since I want the music player to be at another spot.
Finally also made the Website usable on mobile and still making it look good. Worked with the @ media screen in css which turned out to be wayy easier than I expected. Even tho I ran into some issues getting cut off the bottom part of my site often due to the mobile navigation button - but managed to fix that too. I think it turned out awesome.
Implementing Feedback So, since I have already shipped this project once - quite some time ago now, I have gotten some reviews and many seem to point out the same issue. The hitbox of the close button from every window is very weird . And yeah, that is - or better was true, since I managed to fix it. I created a split taskbar that also has like the button for the music app and also made all of this mobile friendly - at least I hope. Not much left to do anymore for this project! Really happy how it is turning out!
Last Devlog before ship#2 Well, since last time I have really been cleaning up things. I created icons for the bottom “taskbars” and also created a new favicon yet again lol. Furthermore fixed some weird glitches and optimized the website more for mobile. Then also made many little css changes that I don’t remember all of anymore - but everything looks somewhat good and I am very pleased with the website so far. Aditionally made a little surprise when you click on the home-button in the bottom “taskbar” for you to find out (;. All in all just much cleanup and little changes for ship number 2.

Devlogs:
Hey, first devlog here I got inspired by big games like KSP, and got really interested in orbital mechanics There are lots of people that don’t understand how orbits work out there, and the idea of getting 2 spacecrafts within 5 meters of each other while each is moving so fast, at a humongous distance, is honestly an insane feat I hope my project can help represent how these mechanics work, show and teach phasing orbits and intercepting properly Here is the first implementation, using matplotlib graphs to display orbits. I’d then like to move that to a webpage, using a Three.js implementation for it to look nicely, and possibly get a nice 3D rendering. I hope this helps someone learn something eventually
Good progress (0.1.0) I moved the project from running locally and moved it to a webpage. Instead of using semi-kepler formulas, I changed it to the Velocity Verlet formula (a (kick-drift-kick leapfrog integrator) integration due to value instability. Switched to Javascript over from python for the webpage. Currently rendering in threejs for a future 3D implementation Hope to add multiple crafts soon for rendezvous tutorials Check it out, the demo is live :D
I organized everything in the main code file into neat functions (0.1.1) (it was some sort of linear madness before), but now its better I noticed the craft was being somewhat obscured behind the planet (it is already 3D), so I switched to an ortographic camera and adjusted some other things My next step will be enabling craft control, so that orbits can look nicely
Attitude / Thruster System Implementation (0.1.2) Added a propulsion system to our boy sputnik. Values visibly change in the telemetry box Controllable with WASD Next steps would be to make a trajectory prediction / Orbit preview system (KSP Like), crash detection, and visible thruster feedback As always, demo updated, check it out
UI Revamp, Pannin’ and Zoomin’ (0.1.2/b) Added the ability to pan and zoom the viewport, added an inoperable view settings box (hopefully for the next update), and made the UI look a little bit cooler Next steps are making a trajectory orbit display, instead of the trail shown (history trail) As always, demo webpage updated, check it out :D
Earth updates, coordinate change for 3D, better trails (0.1.2/c) Added nicer visuals to earth (kudos to @0xSabrina for advice, will add landmasses or clouds in the future), made trail look better with fading, and changed the coordinate axes (initially x-y because 2D, but then I wanted to change it to a top down view, and for a drop-in 3D implementation, now x-z (top down view for an equatorial orbit) The earth now spins as well Hopefully, next update works on the trajectory prediction, and then add the 3D camera Long term, I’d like to add small lessons on orbital mechanics As always, web demo updated, check it out :D
Trajectory path and conic patch labels (0.1.3) You can now toggle between craft path trail and the future trajectory path, for a KSP-like view. The conic patches also have color labels now This took more time than I expected, debugging is nuts Next objective will be to make a 2D/3D switch where you can move your camera around As always, web demo updated, check it out :D
Big UI Revamp + Orbital Schematics (0.1.4) The UI has been revamped for aesthetics, and fonts, boxes, and corners have been changed. An orbital schematic box has been added to show an orbit’s preview, a simple thrust trail is shown, and earth is now made of colorful triangles I haven’t worked on this for a while now, so there’s a big update The next step is probably to add new celestial bodies like the moon for lunar injections, and new UI boxes As always, web demo updated, check it out :D
Ships:
I succesfully made an Orbital Simulator based off leapfrog algorithms and put it on a website. The orbits are simulated (not static), and will change if you apply a change to its velocity This is my first step in making a website to teach orbital mechanics, my future goal being to simulate 2 craft succesfully rendezvousing on different orbits, and to make it a fun way to learn other different mechanics Hope yall like it...
