Day 1! I have coded a startup message and a main menu with a modular “if mode is” architecture for later features, the menu also has an Exit option that displays a goodbye message and quits the program, the program has a nice typewriter typing style and uses a few functions to save time as well as all the options are in a list to save time writing type(“…”) over and over again, I’d say a pretty successful day 1! :)
Day 2! Today I have fully completed and tested the modular foundation (a day early) and I have added a working day counter out of 21, I have finished laying out the about section and the main menu and I have updated the code behind “feature 5 is currently in development, please check again later” so its a lot simpler, I have also added comments to keep the big chunk of code organised, and FINALLY I have added and tested a coin flip mechanic that has an invalid option fallback similar to the main menu’s one, and I have shown the code to my Dad and he has officially approved!!! 😃
Day 3! Today I haven’t done as much as usual, but I have done something; I have added the Dice Roller feature and tested and fixed the bugs in it, I gave the Dice Roller some flair by adding emojis, I’m probably gonna spend the rest of today doing some pc config, but that’s Day 3. :)
Day 4! Again today I haven’t done a lot but I have done a cool feature; I have committed the first version of a Countdown timer, and I have fixed all known bugs and given it some flare as well as a small update to an Easter egg but I’m probably going to do some Roblox game dev for the rest of the day, and that’s Day 4! :)
Day 5!, Another day of barely anything to do with this project, but in fairness I have got my website running on Hackclub Nest, but Today I have added: emojis to the main menu and I have added Time up text to the Countdown feature, and that’s Day 5
Day 6! Well today I have brought back a big hour of development to the project, and today I have accomplished: finalised the countdown and started the number guesser game, I have added difficulty levels to the number guesser: Easy, Medium, Hard, Extreme, and UNLIMITED; and I have made the difficulties actually work, I have added basic exit and checking code, and started range validation! And that’s Day 6!
Day 7-9! over the past 3 days I have added a new Easter egg, I have fixed a lot of bugs and just other cool stuff, I have mainly over the past 3 days, been sailing and making my pc multi-bootable with 5 Linux distros and windows, then I’m gonna customise my Grub. And that’s Days 7-9!
Day 10! Finally got to double digits, almost half way to the ultimate plushie goal, anyway today I have added: a basic feature under development feature, and I tested and fixed a few bugs, and that’s it really, anyway bye, That’s Day 10!
Days 11-13! Over the past few days I have added a WORKING magic 8 ball and fixed all the bugs in it, I have added some stats to the number guesser and I have fixed some bugs that have been in the back of my mind
Day 14! Finally got to the 2/3 milestone, ok, today I haven’t done too much again, but I have added a working most guesses counter and a buggy fewest guesses counter in the number guesser stats feature, but I have fixed a bug where if you haven’t played a number guesser game before in that session it would error but now it doesn’t. And that’s Day 14! :) p.s. sorry for light mode in images
Days 15-17! Over the past few days I have addded a modderate amount of features and those are: a first working version of the calculator, more dev friendly spacing, bug fixes and another few new number guesser session stats. Anddthose were Days 15-17
Days 18-21!!!!! Over the past few days I have added and fixed and polished the last few features and I think the last commit ever to this project will give you an understanding to what I have done over the past few days and how I feel, here it is: Added it so you can exit the calculator easier just by typing "exit", added a new log to the about section and added completed text for after the completion date of: 19 of September 2026, removed a feature cause i wont have time to fulfill it and I have removed the under development text cause it's all done!!!!!!!!!!! :) Thank you to everyone who has followed this journey from day 1 to day 21! I’ve added an executable for windows for the reviewer to the release page Here and updated the Installation guide in the readme Here and finally I have vibe-coded a cool website for the project Here and added a link to my main website Here and finally I have changed the banner, and that’s it! :)

I made Sticky Streaks for the 21 Days of Python challenge. Dev-log 1: Made menu screen with a working QUIT button, and a start button which redirects to a currently-blank screen. Two me-sprites on either side will be slightly animated when I learn how to do so.
Dev-log 2: Made the minigame transition screen with a functioning timer and live-count. Sadly, the lives don’t rotate back and forth to the rhythm of currently-nonexistent-music, but one day…
Dev-log 3: Began work on the ORANGE FACILITY, which will either be an intro scene before the mini-games start, the boss stage, or just a slightly-longer-than normal mini-game. Likely the former. Movement works and so do the hit-boxes (on this stage (the only stage thus far)).
Dev-log 4: Added Oranges to the ORANGE FACILITY stage, but they aren’t collectible yet. Added animation to make the oranges bob up and down, and animated the title to add a little movement.
Dev-log 5: Orange hitboxes now work in ORANGE_FACIL (the error was so silly… I had the func which detected collision as on_ready rather than process…). Additionally, I started a new minigame where the user has to click a teleporting orange a certain amount of times. I want to add a counter, functioning timer, and telegraphs to the clicker game.
Dev-log 6: Made setting screen which can be accessed from title and can go back. Actual settings are… under construction. Also spent way too long making a simple bobbing animation for it. Also also added orange counter to orange clicker game. It now functions. Telegraphs still to be added.
Dev-log 7: Made victory and fail screen, and fixed timer not working in either game....

I noticed first when starting this project I couldn’t find any documentation on different versions of VLC (or maybe I am just too dumb to find them) and thought to myself: “That surely won’t make any trouble in the future”. Hmm, yes. Now I’m sitting here, having a program that works locally in the editor but when bundled into an AppImage it fails to load VLC runtime dependencies. So, dear reader, as I know it is your deepest wish to know about the pain I went through I will indulge in your wish and tell you about it.First up, as a heads up, AI was used extensively here. I have absolutely no knowledge about GitHub Actions .yaml code, which at the beginning I thought wasn’t gonna be a Problem because that just looks like pure English! (Exhibit 1) So I had ChatGPT write one for me because I really didn’t want to go down that rabbit hole and it worked perfectly (after a few edits and tweaks). So after like the 10th build I finally came to the realisation that maybe I should try it on my machine, so I go do that and see this: everything works great, up to the point VLC starts getting into it, VLC crashes on its initialisation without an error message (not even any useful logs). Hmm, okay, that’s bad.So without an error message on my hand, I saw myself forced to go back to AI once more and ask what could cause it, ChatGPT’s answer: Plugin mismatch/not found. This proved correct after a lot of debugging the AppImage with strace (I want to thank God for creating the person who wrote this). But the problem was, even after telling VLC where to look exactly for its plugins (which were the runtime libraries which are not explicitly covered by AppImage), it still wouldn’t look there. Hmm, great. So me and ChatGPT got the thought to look for a version mismatch, and voila: there you have it, the version mismatch and VLC runs into a fatal runtime error trying to load a symbol which is not present in the provided library version (Exhibit 2). Good, well now, I thought, I have two choices here, try to somehow get the correct version on Ubuntu (the GitHub build distro) corresponding to my local version (CachyOS (Arch)) or just go the path of least resistance and build on Arch. And please don’t let yourself be fooled by HackATime, this was all terminal debugging and testing so it wasn’t recorded, but I estimate that we are about 5 hours deep so you can imagine which choice I made. So I switch to Arch, and after a quick fix on the dependencies, it did actually build. So I go run it, thinking how this will finally run beautifully. As you may expect, it did not. I start it, no output, crash (Exhibit 3).This is the current state. It is about midnight and I have been at this for 3h so I will either go to sleep or I will throw my computer out the window and set it on fire. Good night.DISCLAIMER: I want to be honest about how I used AI so I want to sum it up again: AI was used extensively to generate pretty much all versions of the .yaml build file as well as help with troubleshooting, as I just switched recently to Linux and am not familiar with the debugging applications just yet. Also, the libvlc docs (at least the version I could find) are horrible. And for the final, this text was corrected in spelling by Chatgpt."}]...

I’ve started the first draft for the To-Do List I’m working on. I will start working on making it visually appealing now.
Finished the second draft, the game now fully works, now I need to make the game more visually appealing!
Added colors to the code, now going to be working on making the code more concise via arrays!...
