I built a modern website for Tandoori Restaurant with a menu for both veg and non-veg dishes, dish customization, a shopping cart, a QR code menu, and an English/Nepali language switcher. One of the challenges was making all the features work together while keeping the design clean and easy to use. I’m proud to have brought the project together into a complete website. What was challenging Making it work on someone else’s machine. Everything ran fine from my project folder, but a published package only includes what you tell npm to include. My first test install crashed on validate because words.txt hadn’t made it into the package at the time. Blank tiles. Hello everyone! I’m working on a desktop application that lets users map their controller buttons to keyboard keys, so that users can play browser-based games directly with their Xbox 360 or other gaming controller. Today i worked on key detection for all 14 buttons.
After working on input from the controller, I worked on the key simulation mapped to a button to check if the mapping actually simulates the key press or not, tested by mapping A on my controller to the space button and adding spaces between “this is” in Notepad. Tomorrow I’ll try mapping the joystick to W, A, S, D.
Today I worked on the joystick to W, A, S, D mapping, the positive and negative axis got mixed up at first because joystick up and down axis was -ve up, +ve down and -ve left, +ve right, why didn’t they mapped it like a coordinate plane but it’s done now.
Added right joystick controls, this joystick is used to move the player camera. It uses pygame’s mouse move to move the camera, the right joystick might not need to be mapped to something else. I tested it on the browser-based version of GTA Vice City, and it’s actually working!
Added Mouse clicks, most of the script is complete, now i’m going to design a GUI using PySide6(i don’t know how it works so i will watch some tutorials for it and maybe take some help from chatGPT) so users can easily map their keys instead of going through my messy code....

The hardest part was figuring out when a satellite is really visible. It has to be dark where you are, but the satellite still needs sunlight on it, so I had to check the sun’s position and Earth’s shadow for every pass. Estimating how bright each pass will be also took me a while. Getting the app packaged for Windows, Mac and Linux was harder than I expected too. I’m proud that the app doesn’t just say “not visible” but tells you why, like too cloudy or the satellite is in Earth’s shadow. I also like the 3D globe view. To test it: download the file for your system from the releases page, unzip it and start it. Windows and macOS will warn you because the app isn’t signed. The README explains how to open it anyway.
